2 times bios pop-up? -- GT70 0NC

Hi guys,
i got a GT70 0NC and it works just awsome but i got 1 question..
when i boot it shows startscreen MSI (BIOS) then Bigfoot LAN boot then startscreen MSI (BIOS) Again but i hate that.
so i did Shift+f10 and set it to disable. now when i boot it is startscreen MSI (BIOS) then Blackscreen then startscreen MSI (BIOS)
but what i want is just startscreen MSI (BIOS) > boot OS

What i just saied above is that the answer is easy, but unfortunaly there is no solution to this problem.
Well, i use JFileChooser in an application, and i don't really have this popup time problem. Maybe in applets, there is some policie verification while scanning the drives, and that may increase the time the scan need to be done. Check the File access policy of your applet.
Hope this helped a little more.

Hi! Is it possible to get a mod bios for my GT70 0NC that enables VT-x so I can use it to run VBox? Thank you. My bios version is E17621MS.10C

Yup that is my problem whenever I try to run the flash.bat I get a error message "The program or feature "\??\F:\AFUDOS.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit version of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available." Is there a work around that I can do to make this work? MSI only have 2 versions of this bios, one that ends with .30R and another that I have which is .10R.
Any tips or help would be greatly appreaciated.

I need an unlocked Bios for my GT70 model 0NC-002US.
My GTX670M died on me and I ordered a GTX765M ( MSI flashed). I should get it in a week or so
my problem is that I removed the defective GPU because the laptop won't power up if I leave it in the PCi-E slot
but once removed, the laptop runs the Fan full speed at all times. So I need to select the Intel card in the unlocked Bios

I just noticed it is possible to disable the discrete card. That would be very important for me as I use Linux and don't game much so it would save power etc.
When the bios update happens does it also update the IGFX firmware etc?

GT70-0NC BIOS halt code?

Occasionally my GT70-0NC will halt at the BIOS boot screen.It displays '99' in the lower right corner,I assume that is a code for why it halted? A re-start always cures this,I was just curious if anyone has a list of these codes.
Also,I tend to use my machine as a base unit,that is it has a monitor,mouse,keyboard,joystick and at least 1 external drive always connected.I also connect my tablet at times. Is this ok to do this,can it handle all these extra devices ok?

Looks like it is the USB causes the trouble. Try not to connect any devices via your USB ports during POST.

GT70 0NC - Unable to flash non-Windows 8 BIOS

I recently purchased a GT70 0NC notebook and have been unsuccessful at updating the BIOS. The notebook came pre-installed with Windows 8, but I reformatted with Windows 7 x64.
I was able to flash in the EC from the factory 1762EMS1 v5.03 to 1762EMS1.414 using the USB flashing tool detailed in the EC flashing instructions from the MSI download site, but since the "normal" MSI BIOS update procedure will not work with Windows 7 64bit, I've been trying to use the "MSI Forum HQ USB flashing tool". I'm able to successfully prepare my USB flash drive with the updater and boot into it without a problem. After executing the update procedure, it says that it updated the BIOS successfully, but the BIOS version (E1762IMS.50R) remains unchanged after pulling power and booting into the BIOS setup (I'm trying to flash in E1762IMS.10R). I checked to see if "Boot Sector Protection" was enabled, but I can't find it anywhere in the GT70 factory BIOS. Since that didn't work, I installed a bootable DOS utility (the same one used to update the EC), extracted the BIOS archive in the root of the flash drive and tried executing "flash.bat", but it said something to the effect "error problem getting flash information". I'm lost at this point and would appreciate any help on this matter.

You just got your answer, just install the right BIOS + EC (for your OS) and your problems are solved. If you want to install windows 7 on your laptop, make sure you install BIOS and EC for non-win8 from msi download section (for your laptop model), and check before if you have RAID or non-RAID/with Backlight Keyboard or non-Backlight Keyboard (because you will find also these options in the download section)

After a long talk with Nvidia, it seems that 3D stereoscopic is disabled by MSI for this notebook.
Can you confirm this?
Is it possible to enable it with an unlocked BIOS?

3D performance is gaming. Also not every notebook uses Nvidia's 3D vision. In fact most do not. Both audio and 3D vision are disabled, because the notebook uses the Intel 4000IGP for HDMI video and audio. 3D vision are disabled as this is not a 3D vision notebook.

I have this same model (GT70 0NC-494US) and it does not come with superraid, however I was able to get the superraid card, installed it and have one mSATA running in it okay. When I get around to getting a second mSATA drive to add I will then go to a superraid setup.
Is it okay to upgrade the bios to 70X (which is the current bios version) now or would this cause problems?

There litterally isn't anything different about the bios, other than 1 bios has it auto-set to be a 'raid' while the other one is set to just be a normal 'AHCI'...other than that single setting, they should be the exact same. I wouldn't even bother 'upgrading' the bios to the 70 version unless it's a completely different version.

MSI GT70-0NC BIOS UNLOCK Request for Fan Control

I bought my GT70 0NC (Model MS-1762) in the first days of June 2012. Last year my Geforce 675 GTX died and since then it runs with onboard graphics. Since the GT70 runs without a GFX and its fan/cooler, the CPU fan is working full throttle which means it is very loud. I don't plan to buy a new MXM card since they are too expensive and I'd like to save my money for a future computer.
My point: I need unlocked controls of my BIOS to get my annoying main fan down to its actual (useful) rotation speed. As far as I read in these forums it is possible via setting it to onboard as main graphic card or something like that.
Please can you mod me a (maybe newer or newest) BIOS version for this problem? If possible I'd be glad if you leave some instructions what to avoid etc. with it.

The Notebook came with pre-installed Windows 7, but today I use Windows 8.1 on a later bought SSD (the HDD with the recovery sections was built out last year).

yes can be done, with clarify that BIOS can't provide a FAN control [bios can't control the FAN at all]
but yes it can help your FAN to calm down to its normal operation like was originally when your nvidia card was working

I remove the Nvidia GPU ( 670M ) because of video card burned and doesn't work.
After removing the video card , fans working at max speed always.
