2-way audio communication using myRIO

Hello,
I'd like to have a 2-way audio communication using myRIO.
1. I'd like to speak into a microphone on my laptop and hear my voice on a speaker connected to myRIO.
2. I'd like to speak into a microphone connected to myRIO and hear my voice on my laptop.
3. Additonally, I need to perform the above using WiFI.
I've tried the  Analog Input and Ouput functionalities of myRIO in LabVIEW (attached project). I've been able to connect a microhpne to myRIO and a headphone to myRIO and speak into the microphone and hear from the headphone connected to myRIO. But I need to be able to speak into microhpne connected to myRIO and hear my voice on speakers connected to laptop.
Thank you for your helps and support.

Since I'm new and not very familiar with myRIO, I've 3 questions:
1. How can I build a Real Time application at myRIO?
2. How to send the waveform of the audio input by network stream to second application, which runs on Windows?
3. What is the difference between an application running on Windows and Real Time?
Thank you.
ad.1.
myRIO is RealTime target: that means code will be executed by real time operating system on the target.
In project you will use two targets: My Computer : this is Windows target and myRIO that is real time target.
ad.2.
Check Menu>> Help>> Examples and at Search write 'Network Stream'
my second thought is it could be easier to use Shared Variables.
ad.3.
At this point important thing is target and its operating system that execute the code. For myRIO ths is Real Time Linux,  for you it will be transparent, cos you will work using LabVIEW Project.
Did you start with NI myRIO Project Essentials Guide ?
Last and not least: check this path:
Rn LabVIEW: select Create Project: select Sample Projects: select Voice Recorder myRIO

  • Call Pickup - Users experience One Way Audio when using Call Pickup Orbit to pickup internal calls with internal Lync 2010 Callers

    Hi
Noticed an issue where when using Call Park Function with users you receive one way audio when answering the call
    The scenario is
    1) If a user is internal and is homed on Lync 2010 Pool and calls an internal user who is homed on a Lync 2013 Pool and another internal user homed on a Lync 2013 Pool picks up the call with Call Pick Up orbit, Lync 2010 users only hears one way audio and
same for user who has picked up call
    2) If the scenario is an External PSTN call or another Lync 2013 user these calls are fine
In Lync Tracing logs a SIP/2.0 481 Call Leg/Transaction Does Not Exist error is returned
Is this a known bug or expected behavior - Call Pickup is basically useless until all users are migrated to Lync 2013 as there is no way of a user knowing whether call is internal or external and if the user is on Lync 2010 or 2013, obviously in my
large organization 2000 users no an overnight thing
Coupled with the fact no Team Call Group\ Simultaneous Ring can be in place for Call Pickup to work im thinking Call Pick Up is not going to happen for awhile
Is there any fixes\ developments that may help this issue or is there a setting I am missing

    Hi,
Please install latest update for Lync Server 2010 and 2013.

    Hi,
    I found an interesting article:

    I read the 2 .article, named: "Chapter 5: Two-way audio-video communications"
    http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/flashmediaserver/pdfs /ora_learning_fms3_ch05.pdf
I have copied the server side code and the client side code out of the  e-book("A Better Two-Way Chat Application"). All the thing i changed in the codes are:
    -in server side  code: nothing
    -in client side code:

When i try to  connect (you can try it here): mz203.atw.hu), after a few seconds  the  Flash Player crashes.(I see myself and the other person for 1-2  seconds).
Have you got any idea, why is this?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
I have tried that way, but it isn't succeed. Did you see the crash of the flash player?

  • When using a Foscam FI8910W IP Camera, how do I get the 2-way audio function to work? I have VLC as a video app in my applications folder. I am running OSX 10.8

Again, I am on a 2011 MBP, running OSX 10.8.4, and I use VLC as my default player. I bought a Foscam FI8910W Pan&Tilt camera, which has 2-way audio capability through the browser. I have looked online and the only people who have this camera who can also use their audio functions are those individuals who are on a PC running IE. The Foscam website says to fix this issue I must download VLC player. I had VLC before I ever heard of Foscam. Still no audio. When I sign onto my IP camera by inputting the IP address, the user name, and the encryption password, I can then view the camera. At the bottom, it has a URL that says (audio). Clicking this does only one thing - it tells me that I need a plug in to have audio support. The plugin is the VLC player. So I am back at square one. Please help.

I just went to the IP address to access my camera's software; however, there is no mention of audio settings or anything called ADPCM. The included software (CD) does not work with 10.8 - a fact left out by the manufacturer
In regards to .wav files as you had previously mentioned, I have only 6 (.wav) files on my Mac that could be located using finder. They are all involved with my MacMail application. I could not find any other .wav file.

I want to buy a new apple tv but it used hdmi cables and my house is only wired for analog.  Is there any way I can use the apple tv on analog cables?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    It's do-able, but I don't think it's a great idea.
    DVI
Some users with DVI have managed to get their TV's to work with DVI-HDMI cables. DVI carries no audio, so alternative connections need to be explored to enable audio. DVI doesn't necessarily support HDCP as well as other standards used by HDMI (which may or may not be an issue)
    Analogue
There are hardware converters that will convert HDMI to various other types of output, however there are some issues with doing so that you should be aware of.
    HDCP
HDCP compliant converters will not allow you to watch HDCP protected content such as that from the iTunes Store. Non compliant converters exist but we cannot discuss them under the Terms of Use for these communities.
    Resolution and aspect ratio
I'm not aware of any converters that will scale the output from the Apple TV, any TV or projector which is used will need to be widescreen and support resolutions of 720p (Apple TV 2), 720p/1080p (Apple TV 3)
    DAC
DAC (Example Only - Not a recommendation or suggestion that this is suitable in your circumstances)

  • Jabber for IPhone over AnyConnect VPN calls to SIP Gateway - One Way Audio

    Hello,
I am wondering if anyone has seen this before.  I have the latest version of Anyconnect for the IPhone and Jabber app, running on the newest version of CUCM 8.6 and Jabber 8.6.
The Jabber phone registers fine and I can make internal calls without an issue.  I also can make external calls to H323 and HGCP PRI gateways without an issue.  However, when I make a call from the Jabber client that goes out a SIP gateway and SIP trunk I get one way audio.  I do not see any packets even trying to leave inside interface of the ASA headed toward the SIP trunk IP.
I've also verified that useing the same VPN profile I can make 2 way audio calls out the SIP trunk from a softphone running on windows.
Anyone have any ideas what could be the problem?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
try to disable early media on 180 under sip profile settings for jabber client.

  • One way audio over VPN

I have 2 Cisco 1941 routers with a standard IPSec tunnel between them. Data works fine, but VoIP is encountering a one way audio issue where the remote site calling cannot be heard but they can hear me.  This seems to match what I'm seeing in encaps and decaps. The quesion I'm having is why would the remote site be encapsulating all packets but the office router isn't decaping these audio packets. I isolated one phone specifically so that's why the SA is for only 1 host.
    Thanks!

    Thanks Michal.
    1) I have taken these buffer captures. The capture associated with "outside" is short when compared with the number of packets from the "inside" capture in the amount that is most likely associated with the call we placed.
    2) Not NAT at all.
    3) No CBAC or ZBF, unless some default that I'm not aware of. Not sure off hand how to disable those.
I did get this case through to TAC but after 3 hours we are left at comparing the capture buffers.

It then asked if I wanted to sync to this [Something] I said yes. IT wiped all the stuff off my IPod then gave the following message:

How can I get this to work?
It considered the computer pretty acceptable when it took my money for the title. I think I have been ripped off.
THis whole SYNC is an innecessay step. Why can't I just download stuff to my iPod (from any sourch by the way) and delete it from my iPod when I don't want it any more.

    Hello LeaMinovitch,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iTunes Store: Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1420
To authorize a computer, follow these steps:
    Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Authorize This Computer from the menu bar.
You may need to show the menu bar to see this option in Windows. In earlier versions of iTunes, you can access this option from the Advanced menu.
Enter your Apple ID and click Authorize.
If your Apple ID uses an expired MobileMe account, you can still authorize your computer.
In some cases, iTunes may ask you to authorize the computer again. iTunes should use the same authorization as before if the computer is in your list of authorized computers.
Learn what to do if iTunes repeatedly asks you to authorize when you try to play your content.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • Bizarre! One-Way Audio all of a sudden.

I have a 7940 connected to an ASA5505 version 9.1(4) (originally connected on a DOCSIS 3 cable modem)  which has a site-to-site VPN tunnel that terminates on a Cisco 1841 and CCM 6.1 it's been working perfectly forever.
Recently I switched to a fibre optic connection (instead of the cable modem) and now I have one-way audio.  Everything else works perfectly (access to CIFS/SMB file shares, FTP, telnet, SSH) though the tunnel and it behaves as it always did except a lot faster on fibre (80 ms ping down to 6 ms). The fibre ISP delivers various services (IPTV, Internet, etc.) via different VLANs so their Internet vlan is 802.1q tag 35.
    So the configuration was:
    interface Ethernet0/0
     switchport access vlan 6
    interface Vlan6
     nameif outside
     security-level 0
     ip address dhcp setroute
    and now it is:
    interface Ethernet0/0
     switchport trunk allowed vlan 33-36
     switchport mode trunk
    interface Vlan35
     mac-address 109f.xxxx.xxxx
     nameif outside
     security-level 0
     ip address dhcp setroute
and now I have one-way audio (I can hear the other end but they can't hear me). Everything else works perfectly (e.g. call setup, dialling touch tones, etc.). As the change is so subtle (just the outside interface) I am baffled and don't know where to begin troubleshooting this.  In fact when it happened I was sure it was just a problem with the handset cord but I can "hear" my voice echoing back a bit.  I'm keeping the DOCSIS 3 cable Internet until I get this sorted out but of course now paying for two Internet connections so don't want to have to do that any longer than I have to.
Any insight or suggestions on how to proceed very much appreciated.

Well I sort of found the problem but not yet the solution. I had to switch to an ASA5505 with the Security Plus license to get the trunk I needed. If I take out the trunk (so the same configuration will work on an ASA with the base license) and get raw Internet connectivity another way (so I don't need the trunk) I have one ASA that works and one that doesn't.
They both are running 9.1(4) and have identical configurations (copied to both with TFTP).
The ASA with the Security Plus license has one way audio, the base license ASA does not.
I also uploaded both configurations to a unix box and did a diff:
<  switchport trunk allowed vlan 33-36
    <  switchport mode trunk
    >  switchport access vlan 6
    39a39,43
    > interface Vlan6
    >  nameif outside
    >  security-level 0
    >  ip address dhcp setroute
    > !
    46,51d49
    < interface Vlan35
    <  mac-address 109f.a943.f36a
    <  nameif outside
    <  security-level 0
    <  ip address dhcp setroute
    < !
    86d83
    < mtu dmz 1500
    88c85
    < no failover
    > mtu dmz 1500
So it's a bug, revealed by the security plus license as they have identical software and identical configurations and act differently.  Not sure how to work around it yet as I have to use another router temporarily to not require the trunk and the performance is less than stellar with that in the mix. I also upgraded 9.1(4) to 9.2(1) on both - no joy, still the same.

can anyone show me the way to play audio data using real player?
    Thanx before.

Yes, realserver expects an exact mimetype.
to make matters worse, it expects audio/x-pn-realaudio (an audio mimetype) for video!?!?!
Seems the code inside maps multiple file extensions to some mime type. Only one is allowed.
I have used the unix strings commands in teh plugins directory to find the exact mime type realserver is expecting. The file format plugins have this information in them.

  • What ways of communication between two java apps you know?

    Hi all
Lame (but not for me) question.
I have two java applications (first is web-app unning on server (tomcat or JBoss) and second is a standalone java app). Both are running on different JVM and both have to communicate with each other quite often - but mainly: the second one is going to pass results of its work to the first one.
What way of communication would you suggest?
Ps. I'm free to choose frameworks and overall architecture.

I suspect to need to rein in your question a bit and come up with some specifics.

    Too slow, as usual :-)So:
Blimey. That's a question and a half; and the answer will likely depend on what you need to do/send.Plain text, just statements ;)
For straight messaging, there's JMS, but for more esoteric stuff you might want to involve a database, so you may want to look at JDBC (or even something like Hibernate).Yes, JMS is what might solve my problem. Even if there will be any database(?), the only ones I would be considering are H2, Derby, HSQLDB.
I suspect to need to rein in your question a bit and come up with some specificsA little more details? Ok....
Firstly, ordinary user via web app creates text file, and when it's ready - starts second app in separate JVM (separate JVM is needed due to risk of OutOfMemoryError or any other crashes).
Second app (standalone) is going to process this file (it might take hours/days/weeks) and inform web-app about his progress (about 5 messages per minute).
Of course all those messages are going to be saved in log file/ database (log file should be easier way to go).
Note that many standalone instances of second app are going to be run simultaneously (I think that this is the place to use some database - to store info about all instances: whether they finished successfully or not: eg. due to some crashes)
Thanks for you time and effort
All of You helped me already ;)

    Hi kavali1985,
According to your description, you want to build relationship between two fact tables without common dimension. Right?
In Analysis Services, to build relationship between two fact tables, at least you need to have "common" column in both tables which can link these two tables. If so, we can create a fact dimension based on one fact table, then build the relationship
with the other fact table. Please refer to link below:

  • Sending audio file using Mac Mail

What would be the best way to send a short audio clip using Mac Mail to recipients who all have PC's?

All I know is sometimes I receive documents, audio or video clips from friends who have PC's and they can't be played or opened up on my Mac because I don't have the proper applications to open them.
I would assume the reverse could also happen depending on the program that created them.
As an example: What if I send an audio clip taken from my iTunes Library and the person who receives it doesn't have iTunes and the only other program they have is Windows Media Player. Will they be able to open this file up?
    Thanks.

This seems to do exactly what I want, but I need to create a web service out of this without forcing my colleagues to download something to their computer.
Any tips would be appreciated.  Thank you for your time!

My ReelPortal app does just that, except it also have video (which you don't have to turn on).  Here's a short description:
ReelPortal is a video chat and conferencing software. Designed to work with multiple devices and OSes (Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, BlackBerry Tablet, etc), its features include:
    * Video conference with multiple friends
    * Create your own private rooms
    * Supports both p2p and client/server connections
ReelPortal is room-centric. You automatically connect to everyone in a room when you enter it. No need to call them individually.
You can run it directly from the web browser on the PC/Mac/Linux, at www.reelportal.com.  You can even download the server, and run it within your own intranet.  But if you don't like it, you can certainly implement your own via Flash/AIR.
As for audio quality, using headset is probably the best, but if you really need speakerphone, I'd suggest get a decent Bluetooth Speakerphone, like the Motorola EQ7 or EQ5, at a very affordable price.

  • How do I narrate an audio book using Garageband 08

Looking for instruction on how to narrate and record an audio book using Garageband. (Or should I be learning to use Logic?). Thanks

Logic?? Beware!! If it's only about recording speech, you don't even need GB, any audio editor will do. But of course you can use Garageband: Create a real instrument, plug in your recording device (if you don't have any gear, preferably a good USB microphone) and hit "record".
There's several ways you can organize your work: Save every chapter as a "song" to iTunes and organize them into a playlist. That corresponds to importing an audio book from a CD. Or save it as one big podcast with chapter markers (you might run into length problems). Or use software like AudiobookBuilder to turn your files into what an iPod regards as an audio book.
