2 x SSHD using different configs?

Hi
I would like to run 2 a SSHDs using two different configs. The reason is that from the internet I want to run key/passphrase but from the the LAN password is OK.
I know how to run 2 x SSHDs, on 2 different ports, but how to have the second SSHD get the -f option?

You dont have to run 2 different configs.
If you setup a public key authentication then you dont need to use a passphrase at all no matter where you are login in from. If you turn off password authentication altogether you are then very secure and it is much quicker to login.
The best thing to do would be to create a fresh ssh DSA key without a passphrase
use this command in the terminal
ssh-keygen -b 1024 -t dsa -f id_dsa -P ''
then it should created a .ssh directory in your home directory
copy your key to the ssh server using the following command
scp ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub serverip:
replace serverip with your other macs IP address dont forget the ':" at the end of the serverip
Then login to the server
ssh serverip
then make the correct folder on the server if you dont have one already.
mkdir ~/.ssh
Then move the key to the right place
cat id_dsa.pub >> ~/.ssh/authorized_keys
Then log out
exit
Then login again and you should not be prompted for a password
ssh serverip
If that works now you can turn off password authentication
cd /etc
sudo pico sshd_config
then scroll down with your cursor keys and change and unhash to the following
PermitRootLogin no
PubkeyAuthentication yes
AuthorizedKeysFile .ssh/authorized_keys
PasswordAuthentication no
PermitEmptyPasswords no
once done the press ctrl +O then 'enter' followed by ctrl +X
That should be it.
