2013 Workflow not working for tenant admin

Hi
I've been struggling with an issue developing a site for a client. They have their own SharePoint 2013 tenancy, which we can manage as a partner. I can log in to the site with my own company account linked to Office 365, and can do everything I need to in
terms of site administration.
However, I've run into a problem whereby although I can create and publish SharePoint 2013 workflows, I cannot run them successfully. If there is anything in the workflow such as writing to the history list, the workflow hangs with the status "Started"
and "Activity in progress" (no error message).
I've got around the problem by testing the workflow as a user from our client's tenancy, but I'm curious as to why my user doesn't work for this. It works fine for everything else, including SharePoint 2010 workflows. Is there some permission somewhere that
needs to be set, or is this by design?

Hi Ganesh,
Based on your description, I recommend you verify the things below:
Check if the SharePoint search service account is added in the Windows Authorization Access Group in Active Directory.
Check if the non-admin users have permission to view the results searched.
Check if the inline search can work in lists’ pages or libraries’ pages.

    I'm running into a very interesting issue, we have a 2013 custom list that has some 2010 and 2013 workflows associated with it. Just until recently the workflows were working fine, but now only 2010 workflows are working. 
    I updated one of the 2013, tried to publish it  but then I canceled the process of publishing it because I had to make a new update.... not sure if this flipped the switch on these but now even if I create new ones in SPD they will not run. Also if
    I try to run in manually I get a message - "Something went wrong. To try again, reload the page and then start the workflow"(the option for start manually is enabled in SPD 2013). Any help on this will be greatly appreciated!

    According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you ran a SharePoint 2013 workflow.
    Afer you made some change in your workflow, whether you re-published the workflow. if not, please publish it, then test again, compare the result.
    Please create a new SharePoint 2013 workflow on the list, then test, compare the result.
    If this issue only occurred on the specifical workflow, I suggest you create a new workflow instead of the problematic one.
    If this issue occurred on all SharePoint 2013 workflow, you can try to re-register workflow service.

  • ECR/ECO Workflow not working for multiple Objects

    Hello all,
    We have implemented ECR/ECO workflow by customizing the SAP standard one. We are facing a problem when entering multiple ECO objects such as mutiple Documents, materials, BOMs etc. When we create the ECR, two parralel workflow start (one for ECM and other for ECO) and depending on how many ECO objects we have included, multiple instances of ECO workflows will trigger (I think this is the standard behaviour as well but not sure)
    In our workflow, we have a wait step in ECO workflow that waits until ECM has been converted into ECO (ECOP status) and starts the ECO workflow. Also, we have created a Wait step in ECM workflow and that waits until the ECO workflows have reached the CONFIRMATED Step when the processing of the objects are finished.
    When we enter one object, both workflows start and ECO waits until ECM has been converted into ECO and then start the processing the Objects. when the ECO workflow is done (Status confirmated), it switches back to ECM workflow and then goes on with Close/Release steps of the Objects/ECO etc.
             But, when we have multiple ECO objects, both start well as ECR converts to ECO and the ECO starts and then work items are processed but then stops just before the CONRIMATED steps even though all objects are changed/maintained properly and  ECO workflows are completed. As a result, the control doesn't refer back to ECM and we never get the ECO close and Release step work items.
    I have checked SWETYPV, SWEL, business objects ECM and ECO but nothing gives a result..
    Any help would be appreciated..

    If it is in process step please check for ST22 dump if any.

  • Workflow not working for users across domains

    The workflow that i have created works perfectly for me, but they work intermittently for my colleague who sits in another country and hence domain. 
    They sometimes work for him, when he creates a new item but they don't work most of the time and below is the error that he gets.

    Thanks for your response. 
    I'm not much in to SharePoint. Me and my colleague have just front end access to the site, we can't access the server. We both are SCA on the site. We are just geographically apart. 
    All we can do is "SharePoint Branding". Does this make any sense ? Sorry if couldn't give you much information.
    I designed some SP2013 workflows and they don't always work for my colleague. When i go to Designer -> All files -> workflows, i don't see any of my SP2013 workflows, i see only SP2010 Workflows.
    I will try to contact the team that has got the server access and will convey them your inputs.

  • Flash Player 9c - Not working for no admin accounts

    We have a Windows XP sp2 environment, with standard user
    accounts (no admin, power or desktop admin) and admin accounts. We
    have rolled out the corporate version of flash player (Flash9c.ocx)
    from
    http://www.adobe.com/licensing/.
    The install seems to work fine. However when the standard
    users try to open a web page with flash content they just get a
    blank frame with a small red x in the top left. When a user with
    admin rights, power or desktop admin rights it works fine and the
    flash content is fine.
    Is it possible for flash to work without admin rights?
    When a user logs in with admin rights it seems to create and
    access C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Flash Player without problem. When a user logs into
    the system it seems not to create the C:\Documents and
    Settings\(user)\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player folder
    structure. I've even tried cutting and pasting but it seems not to
    be able to access this.
    It only seems to be IE with this fault, the install works
    fine if we use firefox.

    If Flash Player was installed as the admin, it should work
    for all users. However, we have been working with other customers
    who are experiencing the same issue. This is typically caused by a

  • Trust ALL root Certifications in Windows not working for non-Admins on Terminal Server

    I have been trying to setup a verification process that will allow us to us Active Directory Certifications to verify signatures. I have finally found the setting to use the Windows Store after not getting Adobe to query our Certificate Authority. It works great on our local desktop where users have Admin access, but when users do it on our Terminal Server it does not allow it. I thought the issue was access to a configuration file in the Adobe directory, but I found the setting in the Registry set correctly. But does not work correctly. One additional note is I had noticed that after I enabled it on a Non-Admin, is Adobe would say it crashed after I shut it down.
    My question is what type of privilege do you need, or maybe Adobe need to access the Windows Cert Store from a Terminal Server with a non-Admin because it is not validating after confirming the Setting is enabled.

    hello, since version 26 firefox is able to auto-update on windows even for non-admin users (when the mozilla maintenance service is getting installed in the original configuration): http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/26.0/releasenotes/#whatsnew
    those would be the auto-updates provided by mozilla directly - so i'm not sure if this is something that would fit in your environment. installing the .exe file of a new version (available at [https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/]) on top of an older version will also update the program.

    Based on your description, my understanding is that when you ran SharePoint 2013 workflow, an error occurred.
    You can try to re-register the Workflow Service.

  • BI Publisher configured with BI Server Security not working for the admins.

    Hello Everyone,
    I have configured the BI publisher to work with the BI server security. Everything is working well with the exception that all users part of the BI Server "Administrators" group are unable to login and get the following error message (message displayed below). If a user is removed from the "Administrators" group then they are able to access the BI Publisher. As indicated everything else is working for exemple all users part of the 'XMLP_Admin' group all have access to the "ADMIN" tab in BI Publisher. The issue seems to be limited to the users part of the BI Server "Administrators" group.
    - Has anyone else ever had this issue?
    - Is this a normal behaviour of BI Publisher?
    - Or the security groups for the BI Server and BI Publisher conflicting?

    The group XMLP_Admin was already created and working. The conflict was with security groups outside BI Publisher. What I ended up doing was recreating the principals.xml and security.xml files and rsetting the roles and permissions. Surprisingly that fixed my problem.

  • After 10.7.5 update, internet browsers do not work for non-admin user.

    My daughter has a Macbook Air running OS 10.7.5. I'm the administrator and have no problems. My daughter has had a separate user account ever since we bought the computer 13 months ago (just out of warranty).
    The computer is connected to the internet via WiFi router.
    Since the most recent system update, we can't connect to any webpages when logged in under my daughter's user account.
    Connections time out and the error message suggests we disable firewalls and proxies (there are none... I think).
    She can still connect Mail, Skype and iTunes Store but not Safari or Firefox. We downloaded Google Chrome with the admin account and installed after this problem showed but it has the same problem when using her account.
    I've searched the Apple forums and elsewhere and seen a few similar problems but none where the administrator's browsers work and the user doesn't.
    By the way, there are NO parental controls activated.
    Please help.

    I can imagine the inconvenience you have experienced. I will try to help you in fixing the issue.
    Please test this issue in the Clean Boot environment to check if there is some conflicts with network.
    If the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, we can use a 50/50 approach to quickly narrow down which entry is causing the issue.

  • Workflow not working for multiple line items

    Hi gurus,
    we are working on ECN/ECO workflow.
    Once ECN is created in CC01, our workflow triggers.
    we are calling subflow from main WF for enhancing the materials of the Engineering change number(ECN).
    Subflow will take the material to different departments for enhancing the views like,
    Purchasing views by purchasing dept,
    quality views by quality dept,
    sales views by sales dept,
    etc.
    This whole process is working fine, if there is single material number in ECN.
    But, if there are 2 material numbers, the control is not returning back to MAIN WF from Subflow.
    do we need any config/setup to make it work. (we are using block while calling subflow).
    Any help will be of gr8 use.

  • Groups functionality in BPEL humal workflow not work for Third party LDAP

    Hi,
    Oracle Virtual Directory(OVD) configured as third party LDAP was integrated
    with BPEL human worklist and corresponding tasks were assigned to a
    particular group using the human task editor. When the members in the group as
    present in OVD logged in to the BPEL human workflow console the assigned
    tasks are not visible to the particular user whereas logged in as bpeladmin can
    able to view the task for the group and the associated users. The same when
    tested with the default JAZN authentication the functionaliy is working fine. We
    are not able to assign any tasks to the members associated to the groups. Also
    tasks assigned to individual users directly are found to be working with OVD
    integrated.

  • Exchange 2013 OOF not working for migrated accounts

    We are having a problem with the Out of Office responses in Exchange 2013. 
    We are getting the error “Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. 
    Try again later.”  I have been through several help articles that I found on the internet and so far none have resolved the problem. 
    Autodiscover is working as expected when connecting an Outlook client – and I can access the url identified by the “Test Email AutoConfiguration” tool for OOF – it returns the xml document as expected. New accounts created in this domain work, but the
    problem occurs accounts that were migrated from Server 2003 domain running Exchange 2007. I can also access the OOF settings for a migrated account using OWA. The new domain is 2012 and Exchange 2013 and accounts are being migrated using ADMT through a trust,
    which is working as expected.  Only the accounts have been migrated (not mailboxes) and I am not planning to connect the old exchange to the new to do mailbox moves – instead I am just planning to export psts from the old Exchange 2007 server
    and then import them to the 2013 server.  The client dns settings are correct and all other connectivity seems fine. 
    Any ideas are greatly appreciated.  I have also tried creating a new Outlook profile, turning off Cached Mode, and creating an entirely new Windows profile and Outlook profile. 
    I have also tried using Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013. 

    I solved this - EWS was disabled for the mailbox.  Set-CASMailbox -Identity User -EWSEnabled $true fixed the problem.

  • PR Workflow Not Working For Continuous Two Rejection

    Hi All ,
    I have configured PR Workflow and its working fine for Forward Release i.e IF there are 4 level of approval and every one goes on releasing , its working fine.
    But if 4th of the Actor Rejects  , it goes to Third actor . But if now 3rd Actor rejects , its gets structed here . Its not getting complete .
    Note that the same task is getting triggered at all the time but one time its completed and 2nd time its not completing .
    Any idea why this is happening .

    At the time of rejection  Rejection_start event gets triggered . I have created a seperate workflow for Rejection which resets the last release and once again calls the Release Workflow with the resetted release code .
    So its sends the workitem to the previous person . But now when this person rejects the PR , the workitem is not getting complete .
    I dont know why even the task is same in both the cases.

    Few days ago a couple of company workers went to vacation. They set up OOF automatic replies in OWA 2013. However automatic replies are not working for external recipients (outside of company). Internal users (company users) receive OOF notification.

    In Exchange 2013, the only way to see or change the current configuration for automatic replying and forwarding to the Internet is via the Exchange Management Shell (EMS) with PowerShell commands.
    To get the currently configured Remote Domains, use:

    I have a MacBook Pro Retina display: 15.4-inch late 2015 with OS X Mavericks install, only on second week. 
    Insight works on FaceTime, Skype, but yahoo program does not show insight cam in dropped down.
    Now when I got my new MacBook Pro, I down loaded all new Skype (worked tested), FaceTime (Worked Tested), Yahoo (not worked)
    Fix:
    With the new Maverick you have to use there messager program Version 8.0 (4218). Once I add my yahoo account video works again.
    It also supported AOL, AIM, Google Talk, Jabber.
    Guess I miss it frist time... hope this helps...
