30 minutes retry

Hi,
I am facing a wierd issue in retry action in Error handling Framework.
I have a BPEL process which invokes an external web service.
I have defined the action in fault policy for this process as Retry with Retry Count - 3 and Retry Interval - 5.
When I make the web service down and run the BPEL process standalone, I am able to see the retry happen at invoke for 3 times with an interval of few seconds.
Now I created an esb and am invoking the BPEL from this ESB.
NOw if I teste the same above scenario, I am not able to get the bpel process instance for half an hour.
After half an hour when i see the instance of the BPEL process, I find thatafter the first retry, its taking 30 minutes and 5 seconds for the second retry to start.
The time interval between the second and third retry is again only few seconds.
I checked the ESB fault policy, the retry count there is '0'. I checked the esb_config.ini file and set the InboundRetryEnabled and OutbounfRetryEnabled to 'false'.
Still the same issue.
Please let me know if i missed out something or I need to check any other file.

  • Drive with Offline Files folder not available for 2 minutes after being connected to the network.

    Hi
We use Windows SP1 with one folder from the User HomeDirectory set to be available offline.
The problem we encounter is that when going from Offline to Online via VPN, there is a 2 minutes delay for the drive where the offline folder is located to be available again. Other drives mapped at VPN connection time are available immediately
after we applied KB2705233. Only the drive that contains the folder that we make available offline has this delay issue.
I found out KB2663418 but it does not apply as we have Windows 7 SP1. However the symptoms are the same:
< This issue occurs because the client-side caching (CSC) interface tries to reconnect to the source before the network is actually available. This behavior causes the SMB cache to enter a negative state. In this situation, the CSC interface tries to
reconnect to the source on the next 2-minute retry interval.>
Does one know how to force a check of the connectivity or if there is another fix available ?
    thanks in advance
    bruno

    Hi,
Why KB2663418 didn't applied to your computer? It applied to
Windows 7 Service Pack 1, when used with:
    Windows 7 Enterprise
    Windows 7 Professional
    Windows 7 Ultimate
Did you use Windows 7 Home Basic or Home Premium?  However, Windows 7 Home Basic and Premium does not support Offline Files.
    Thus please try that hotfix.

  • DSC Extension install failure

    Hello,
I am seeing this DSC install failure in the log when I call the Set-AzureVMDscExtension during a create vm call. This issue is not occurring all the time, seems to be intermittent. Digging some more I found the WMF 5 install is happening before the DSC extension
and looks like there is a 5 minute retry for the WMF install to complete. If the install takes more than 5 minutes the code flow does not write the install-completed.dsc file to the DSCWork folder.
In order to test this hypothesis, I ran the install.cmd and enable.cmd manually after the saw this install failure, and at that point I see the install-rebootneeded.dsc file being generated in the DSCWork folder and the machine is restarted and the DSC execution
continues after the machine reboot and everything works as expected. If I am right with my hypothesis on the problem, how can I increase the retry limit for the WMF install to more than 5 minutes? I saw another thread which attributes the same failure to securing
PSCredentials object when calling the DSC install. At this point, I would like to know how other people in the forum got past this issue, This is really blocking my install workflow right now. Appreciate any inputs!

    Hi,
Thanks for your question. Based on my experience, there is no direct way to change the retry time limitation for installing WMF. Maybe some scripts would achieve that.
Besides, can you install DSC in Azure preview portal instead of running Azure PowerShell cmdlets?  You can upload and install the script in Azure Preview portal for the VM to see if the issue persists. More information, you can refer to the link below:
Manage the PowerShell DSC Extension in the Azure Preview Portal

  • Email Triggering  Problem

I got a scenario where i need to place all the input payloads in the jms queue and route to the endpoint uri, if the endpoint is down/unavailable i need to rollback and place the payloads back into the queue and need to route it until the service is up/available with time gap of 15mins. Meanwhile i need to notify with others through mail whenever the service is down. I configure the mail triggering part in the route error handler, The problem i facing was whenever the service is down hundreds of mail is being triggered out until the payload is in the jms queue.
    1. I configured the retry interval as 15 mins and retry count as 1 in the endpoint business service.
The expected scenario is what i need only 1mail to be triggered with the interval of 15mins irrespective of number of messages in the queue, instead i am getting hundreds of mail triggers.
Please help me in this case.

I wonder if using "Offline Endpoint URIs " option with 15 minutes retry time can help you
Otherwise just send an email as part of an alert notification if any error occurred in the last 15 minutes - problem is you might have to wait 15 minutes to get the email notifying the accident.
Otherwise set the alert with the "Alert Frequency - Notify Once" option - you should play a while with the options until you get it right :o)

Every ten minutes a popup on my 4s appears saying "unable to download" with the option of "done" or "retry". I can't get rid of it and I can't find out what it's trying to do! theres noting pending on the App Store or iTunes. Nothing failed. I've reset my settings. Logged out and back into itunes. It's really annoying as rinsing my data!

After talking to Apple for 3 hours I figured it out myself.
Tre here was a singular failed song on iTunes on the computer that was trying to download and messing everything up. Maybe if you use iTunes on the computer and have a little mooch you'll find the same thing. I think it was hidden in the purchased part of it

  • BPEL process on error retrying self after every 5 minutes (no fault policy)

    Hi All
We are facing very strange issue in one of our BPEL processes (we are using Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.3 on linux with 2 soa servers in cluster). The composite consists of a web service binding followed by a mediator which routes to three different BPEL processes (operational routing). This is all one way.
Inside the BPEL we are throwing a bpel rollback fault in the catch all to roll back any pending database changes. As soon as the error comes, In the composite diagram i can see multiple BPEL instances under the mediator and they keep on coming after every 5 minutes (basically i see two BPEL instances with a gap of one second and this pair keeps on repeating every 5 minutes)
Also we have a send email in the catch all and the email we get has a different composite id in every mail. However in the em i can see only one composite id (the first one when the error came) with multiple BPEL diagrams in it.
We are not sure what is causing the error?
    1) Is it the one way mediator routing to 3 BPEL processes as per the operation invoked?
    2) Is there something wrong with clustering?
    3) Is there a problem with version 11.1.1.3?
Please help as we are struck and not able to move to INT.
    Thanks and Regards
    Amit Sachdev

    Hi Anuj
Thanks for the reply again. Using the below property seems to work, but it is making the call sync (i get an empty fault in SOAP-UI) and my java client also waits for the response.
    <component name="abcd">
    <implementation.bpel src="abcd.bpel"/>
    <property name="bpel.config.oneWayDeliveryPolicy" many="false" type="xs:string">sync</property>
    <property name="bpel.config.transaction" many="false" type="xs:string">required</property>
    </component>
As i told that this is a long running process (could easily take 3-4 hours), i cant afford to wait for this (should be fire and forget).
    1) Is there a way, i can make it fire and forget and also stop the recovery using the properties you just told?
    2) If there is no way out, i can remove the throw rollback fault in catch all, but i want the composite instance to be shown as red (i will take care of the rollbacks in db in code). I tried using the terminate activity but that doesn't make it red (like it used to be in 10g). Is there a way to mark the instance as red without throwing an uncaught fault?
    Please let me know. Thanks
Also regarding the patch, if we apply it, will it still recover the BPEL instance? I mean the BPEL is throwing a rollback fault and is being exactly retried 50 times with a gap of 5 minutes (default settings in em console, not touched at all). Every time it runs it would throw the same fault again (as it reads and deletes a control file, so in successive runs that control file will not be there) leading to rollback error being thrown from catch all during automatic retry.

    Hi!
Check that all enviroment variables are complete and still in place?
JAVA_HOME and DBMS_TYPE and so on
Also check that all exe files are of the same version, if not, make sure they are.
You could also try to update disp+work

  • Leopard Clients take a Long Time to Login (roughly 1~2 minutes)

    Hello all,
I've spent the last few weeks scouring these groups and then net and searching and searching for someone with a similar problem to my own, but have come up pretty much empty handed and so now turn to here to see if any else has had this issue or can at least point me where to look to resolve the problem.
I've got a clean install of a XServe running Leopard server 10.5.2 with OD, AFP services and User home folders configured and fully working.
    The problem:
Clean install of Tiger client logs into the server (OD binded) perfectly. Takes maybe 15 seconds tops to for the client to log in and show the all the AFP mounts and client settings and user's desktop and files, etc.
However, a fresh Leopard client install (OD binded) takes roughly 1~2 minutes to do the exact same thing.
I've gone through any log file I can find on server and client side, checked my DNS running on this xserve, created new users without "home" folders, and searched just about everywhere for an answer to this issue and am still empty handed.
This is not a show stopper issue, but there is something definitely not normal about what is happening with Leopard client logins.
I'm trying to explain this as best as I can without making a wall of text, but I'm sure I'll forget something, so please ask questions if you have them.
Things I'm seeing in the logs during the time of the login happening are:

All other logs don't appear to show anything of importance in between the time frame of Login window started and login window exited.
I'd like to know what exactly the client workstation is doing during this time with the server, but it looks like it just hangs and does nothing since nothing shows up in the logs that I can find during this time period where the client hangs. Maybe I can try an Ethereal trace to see what traffic is being sent back and forth during this timeframe. I don't know if this is a configuration issue on my part or a OD / AFP bug on Apple's part since Tiger clients connect perfectly.
Logouts happen immediately, so no problems there on that end. And everything else with the system is working flawlessly (besides the OD Crashing issue which I'm sure everyone is well aware of right now with 10.5.2).
Thank you to anyone that can assist in shedding some light on this issue and I apologize if I didn't provide enough information.

FOUND IT!!! Well for our install anyway. The culprit was AUTH2.
In our case computers would (randomly) have the same ..SLOW.. symptoms as your original post described, and the 'Apple Password Server log' on our server showed the same log entries.
It turned out that Single-Sign-On was being screwed up by two Authentication Authorities as applied in the LDAP (Computer and User) Attributes,
and showed up in the log as competing authentications from KERBEROS-LOGIN-CHECK and AUTH2. as follows:
    Apr 30 2008 16:22:17 RSAVALIDATE: success.
    Apr 30 2008 16:22:17 AUTH2: {0x4818c423083a8ddd0000000a0000000a, user} DIGEST-MD5 authentication succeeded.
    Apr 30 2008 16:22:17 RSAVALIDATE: success.
    Apr 30 2008 16:22:17 AUTH2: {0x4818c423083a8ddd0000000a0000000a, user} DHX authentication succeeded.

    Apr 30 2008 16:22:17 KERBEROS-LOGIN-CHECK: user {0x4818c423083a8ddd0000000a0000000a, user} authentication succeeded.
    Apr 30 2008 16:22:18 RSAVALIDATE: success.
    Apr 30 2008 16:22:18 AUTH2: {0x4818c423083a8ddd0000000a0000000a, user} DHX authentication succeeded.
Now, all the entries in our log (for remote logins) show:
    May 2 2008 10:35:39 KERBEROS-LOGIN-CHECK: user {0x4818c423083a8ddd0000000a0000000a, user} is in good standing.

    May 2 2008 10:35:39 KERBEROS-LOGIN-CHECK: user {0x4818c423083a8ddd0000000a0000000a, user} authentication succeeded.
    i.e...Single-Sign-On and they're FAST.
no more AUTH2 entries overlapping with KERBEROS.
(local Authentications still show AUTH2 when using WGM)
The solution was pretty straight forward, But only applies if the system is using Single-Sign-On with AFP shared home folders and the Authentication for AFP is set to Kerberos.
Delete ;ApplePasswordServer entries from all user/computer combinations that are having problems.
I actually deleted it from all users and Computers. (Except the Server Computer and Directory Administrator that uses WGM. When I tested these, WGM would not authenticate Diradmin)
It can be done in the GUI from the inspector tab in WGM
    find the attibute
    dsAttrTypeStandard:AuthenticationAuthority
    click to open
If there are two entries: ApplePasswordServer and Kerberosv5 then:
Edit the ApplePasswordServer entry (You can copy the text into an editor and save it for future use if needed, all entries are the same for all computers and users, so you only need 1 copy, and you can paste it back into new entry to put it back,...If needed....maybe for older systems, mine are all Leopard.
Now delete, OK, and Save the changes
After its done, check the logs again to make sure that all remote logons now show
    KERBEROS-LOGIN-CHECK:
    and they should be FAST.
    Hope this helps

  • How to get past I pod touch screen that says " I pod touch disabled, try again in 22000000 minutes"

MY iPod touch is disabled ans says retry again in 22000000 minutes. When I attempt to restore, the software downloads but the device does not restore.  How do I bypass the disabled screen to put the iPod back in working order?  Please help.

    Maybe here:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .

  • Client reconnection to conventional cluster taking about 9 minutes

    Hi,
I've set up a 3 node OpenMq (4.4) conventional cluster and am having trouble with client reconnections when I simulate a halt on a node.
I have two threads within the same process, sending to a pre-configured destination and replying using a temporary queue. Each have a JMS connection to the same home broker. If I bring the home broker down with either the imqcmd command or with a ctrl+c, the goodbye messages are sent and the client connections are immediately reestablished by the connection factory with the next broker. But... if I remove the broker from the cluster by simulating a BSOD, power failure, etc, no goodbye messages are sent (obviously) and the connected clients are left 'connected' to the dead broker and only reconnect to another broker after about 9 minutes.
I read in the docs that the 'imqPingInterval' property can be used to test the client connections but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick. After I've cut the power to the broker's virtual machine, I'm seeing the ping messages in the logs, e.g.:
FINEST: Outbound Packet:PING(54):296-127.0.1.1(bd:ea:13:9b:ae:a)-51155-1267024410861;BrokerAddress=10.59.148.9:7676(1082), ConnectionID=4090718717872600064, ReconnectEnabled: true, IsConnectedToHABroker: falseAt this point, telnet cannot connect to 10.59.148.9:7676 so it's definitely gone.
Finally after about 9 minutes, the following shows up in the logs:

Handling a machine failure seems like a pretty standard scenario for a cluster so I'm sure there's something I've mis-configured.
Is there something I can do to fix this?
If not, the only other alternatives I see are to either:
    1) Try the HA custer. But I'm not sure this will fix the problem if the client is waiting on a dead socket.
    2) Lower the message ack to something like 10 seconds and reconnect to the cluster for a retry every time we get a JMSException. But this is obviously not ideal either.
    Any suggestions would be great.
    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hi Nigel,
The producer is configured to send messages every 5 seconds and the consumer is sitting with a message listener on the queue.

  • Download error. Tap to retry.     Why? I have a wifi and still the same message?

Download error. Tap to retry.... Why? I have a wifi connection and still the same message, and even connected to desktop the same for ipad. Help :-)

I'm getitng the same thing.  I'm beyond sick of this iPad.  It's a third generation Retina Display and it turned into a pile of cat turds after iOS 7.  It got so bad I restored it and used iCloud. It was still god awful.  I restored it and didnt use the iCloud backup and hoped that whatever was wrong would be avoided....nope.  IF I can get a download going it nearly kills my entire iPad.  I will open the cover and wait over 30 seconds just for the screen to light up.  I will hit the home button to close an app and wait nearly a minute in some cases for it to actually close.  Then to top off all the annoyances it just fails and loops over and over.
I bought Apple products to avoid stuff like this.  Very unhappy.

  • With MS 7 IE 10 when installing FP I get prompt to close IE but it is closed - I retry to no avail

Internet explorer 10 was recently updated on my computer from IE 9.  Now I can't install Flash Player any more.  I get the prompt to close Internet Explorer so I do then the prompt shows back up.  I wait a few minutes and retry again.  Still I get the prompt to close Internet Explorer.  I retry over and over but to no avail.  This is frustrating!

See How to close Internet Explorer and other programs running on Windows?

  • There have been 7,039 failed login attempts in the last 30 minutes

    Hi,
I am trying to find out the cause for an OEM alert we received:
There have been 7,039 failed login attempts in the last 30 minutesThe cause is ofcourse known, but I can't find out why the application anyway was able to do 7000+ login attempts within half an hour. The account should have locked after 10 attempts
The perticular account has a DEFAULT profile.
Auditing is on, so if we look into DBA_AUDIT_SESSION it is clearly seen that within 1 minute approx 1200 failed login attempts occured without the account being locked.
    USERNAME USERHOST     RETURCODE      TIME              COUNT
    KRAMPV      DDE18LNB       1017     27-01-2012 13:54     235
    KRAMPV      VSV2SH221     1017     27-01-2012 13:54     271

KRAMPV      VSV2SH224     1017     27-01-2012 13:54     266If we retry the login with a incorrect password manually from SQLplus, after 10 login attempts the account gets locked as expected.
The above login attempts come from three application server of which I don't know how they handle failed logins.
Can anyone point me into a search direction as to why the account didn't lock. Just for completeness some extra info about the account and the DEFAULT profile:
    User is created with:
    CREATE USER KRAMPV
    IDENTIFIED BY VALUES 'S:123456890'
    DEFAULT TABLESPACE KRAMPVDATA

    GRANT ALTER ANY MATERIALIZED VIEW TO KRAMPV;
    ALTER USER KRAMPV QUOTA UNLIMITED ON KRAMPVDATA;

    The OS is AIX7.1
I've been looking on MOS, but was unable to find a clue yets
    Thanks

Edit: For the record, after I discovered the above I changed the DEFAULT profile, so the account would not unlock itself anymore. If this problem will occur in the future, maybe we can get more info as the account - if it gets locked- should stay locked now:
alter profile default limit PASSWORD_LOCK_TIME unlimited;Edited by: fjfranken on 3-feb-2012 2:56

I cann't say that resource_limit is not TRUE, because you are saying "If we retry the login with a incorrect password manually from SQLplus, after 10 login attempts the account gets locked as expected.", so it means profile is working for the "KRAMPV" user.
The interesting thing is USERHOST is changing, so another option is the listener log should also have information about the failed connection attempts.
My another guess is duplicate user in the database i.e. one is KRAMPV and another is "krampv" (with quotation mark). Just check in dba_users that is there something like exists or not.....
    select upper(username),count(*) from dba_users group by upper(username) having count(*) > 1;

    Girish SharmaHi Girish,
    resource_limit is set to FALSE.
And we've tested the locking with another user, because KRAMPV is used by the application that is running and we didn't want to risk that it got locked
USERHOST is not changing, there are 4 hosts ( application servers ) doing the same thing, so connection requests are coming from 4 hosts concurrently.
There is luckily no duplicate user.
Thanks anyway, we will keep investigating. I also sent the information to the application provider.
    Bye
