Dispatcher dies after 1 minute

Hi,
I am on ERP2005 SR2, with Windows 2003 and MSSQL 2005 DB.
I have recently performed a database restore of the SAP database, but I am not able to restart SAP after this.
The dispatcher dies after about 1 minute. You will find the dev_disp and dev_w0 files below:

    Good Bye .....

    I added the sapservice and sidadm accounts in the login properties for the respective databases for some reason those users did not have access rights to the DB.
    Strange! windows thing I guess!
    Anyhow. I solved it. thanks for your help.

  • Dispatcher dies after startup - sapdb / libpcr

    We have a NW04 server on Windows whose primary purpose is as an XI hub.
    It was recently moved from one network to another (same machine name) and initially worked properly, but is now not starting up.
    I just had to extend the data volume, as it was full, if thats of any relevance.
    It seems to be having issue loading "libpcr".  I did some searches, and re-registered the library, as well as setting the SABDBLIBDIR env variable.  To no avail.
    Here's the trace of dev_w3, which seems to be the first process that dies:

  • IMac G5 tries to start and dies after spinning cog for a minute

    iMac G5 tries to start and dies after spinning cog for a minute
    I did this;
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
    Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk.
    the result was.
    the 'permissions' are sometimes wrong, but they repair
    the hard drive is either repaired or OK
    the iMac will then restart and work fine and sometimes shut down and restart OK
    after replacing the Hard Drive I actually thought I had fixed it and went to bed late but happy,
    on waking in the morning, however I was not so happy it fired up and then died after dong -> apple logo -> spinning cog -> dead!!
    I would be grateful for any help
    Thanks
    Pete

    Hi Miriam,
    Thanks yes,
    here we go -- after running disc utilities it tells me directory OK and disk OK (or something like that) When I replaced the Hard Drive, I started 'fresh' erased/formatted the hard drive (new Seagate Barracuda 7200 500GB) and it has just got 'tiger' on it (and upgraded to whatever it is now I think I remember 4.11, I can't tell at the moment as I have got the back off) I didn't transfer any data I just took the old drive (Seagate 160GB) out and stuck the new one in.
    I've just changed the battery (I didn't really think it would work, but I was still hopeful and I'd bought the battery anyway) I did the LED thing, the internal power button thing, and the resetting the SMU thing (with crossed fingers and bated breath) but -- so I'm thinking is it the power supply? I read some of Jim's weighty, but worthy tome and resolved to remove the power supply and have a look. On opening it up, it does look as though, one (at least) of the capacitors has 'blown' (by the way, just in case I sound like I know what I'm talking about, I don't of course, I'm just quoting Jim's words;-) I'd love to send you a picture of the inside of the power supply showing what I believe to be a 'blown' capacitator (and I'm going to try to send one to Jim as I think it might be useful to him and others. can I attach a photo in any way or would you like to send me your email address <Edited by Moderator>
    Thanks
    Pete
    PS it's still 'weird' to me, why it starts and runs well, when started from tiger (or whatever) and then starts or restarts from the Hard Drive unless I leave it a few hours and come back and try to start it
    again? wow it's late nearly 4.00am here in london UK.

  • Storm 1 dies after 2 min call on full battery

    I've been trying to get a response to this question and have received nothing yet.
    my storm1 dies after a 2 minute call - even when the battery is full, a call comes in and withing 2 mins the phone shuts itself off and sometimes restarts with the battery icon red, I get a message saying the battery is too low for radio signal. I don't have any apps running in the background, I ensure that the phone is locked so that the backlight goes off. Still it dies - any help please!!!!
    My Core Application is 5.0.0
    System software is 5.0.0

    Assuming that you are running iOS 4 or higher .....
    There could be any number of reasons why the battery is losing the charge so quickly. If you constantly have Location Services, and Notifications turned on - and depending upon the frequency that the iPad is set to Push email notifications, along with the number of apps that may be running in the background ... all these factors impact battery drainage.
    These two articles are worthwhile reading for you and will give you a great deal of insight on how to best charge the battery and how to get the most out of battery life.
    iPad Battery

    Charging the iPad Battery
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4060
    One thing I recommend for you to try is to quit open/recent apps. You do this by double tapping the home button to bring up all of your recent/opens in the task bar at the bottom of the iPad screen. Tap and hold down on any of those icons until they all wiggle. Then tap the minus signs in the upper left corner of the icons to close the apps. Close all of them, then tap the home button twice. Now restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut down. Hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears to power up again.
    This article may be helpful as well for you to read about how multitasking works.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4211
    After you do this, and you read and heed the advice in the two support articles, see how your battery life is now. There could be other issues involved, but start here.

    I recently purchased some songs from iTunes and the majority of them have this issue, they stop playing after minute 1 or 1:30.

    Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
    If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.
    BTW the tracks that cut short, did you preview each of those for the full minute or minute 30? There's a bit of me that thinks the previews and the short downloads might be related to each other.

  • My iphone 4s battery dies after a few hours after upgrading the software

    My iphone battery dies after approximately 4 hours (with no use) after I upgraded to ios6 and, the phone heats up. This has been going on for about a month now and I've tried everything. Unfortunately, employees at the Apple store flat out refused to help noting, 'oh, just try restarting it, ios 6 doesn't have any flaws' (I've tried multiple times). Needless to say, 4 hours is not enough to warrant keeping a phone so if anyone has any (free) ideas, I would appreciate them greately. Thank you.

    Any ideas on what I can do?

  • LiveCycle/JBoss just dies after several minutes.  Have to rerun Configuration Manager

    I installed LiveCycle ES Turnkey with JBoss on a fresh install of WinXP Pro and it seemed to work flawlessly. I followed the turnkey install guide and it went without any problems. After the install I opened the LC Administrator Console and logged in with no problems. I changed the passwords and poked around a bit. It sat idle for a few moments and the next time I tried to do anything I get the standard Failed to Connect message as if I were trying to browse the web while not online.
    I've tried several things to bring it back to life -- restarting the service (it's 'JBoss for Adobe LiveCycle ES' right? it always fails to stop this service when I try to restart it.), restarting the whole machine, starting the server from run.bat in jboss\bin... nothing works. I have to run the Adobe LiveCycle Configuration Manager again to be able to connect to http://localhost:8080/. I've done this three times now and every time it's the same thing. It works for several minutes and then dies for seemingly no reason.
    I really appreciate any help I can get!

    Hello brianus
    If you have checked for Possible hardware or software conflicts, you may have a hardware problem.
    You sound like an experienced user that has done considerable troubleshooting, but you can consider How to test your iSight to ensure it is functional in case something there might help you.
    If none of those suggestions or Apple's How to Troubleshoot iSight helps you, your iSight will likely need repair by an Apple Service Technician. There are no user serviceable parts in iSight.
    Even if the iSight you bought was advertised as an NOS (new, old-stock) iSight, it may not be covered by Apple Warranty. If the seller is not providing you service guarantees or warranty, you may be interested in Apple's iSight Service: Frequently Asked Questions.

  • Dynamic to Static VPN dies after about 4 minutes

    Hey everyone, I have an interesting issue with a dynamic to static VPN setup. I currently run a pair of Cisco Pix 515e firewalls in a failover setup. They are running OS 8.0.4 and they run great. I used to have a VPN between these and my office where the remote office had a static IP address. I am moving that to a new connection which uses dynamic IP addresses.
    I setup a pre-shared key on the DefaultL2LGroup on the Pix and removed the existing static tunnel-group. I also reconfigured the remote firewall which is a Netgear firewall to connect to the Pix. It is still using main mode and the rest of the setup is pretty much the same.
    The VPN connection establishes fine and I can pass traffic through it with no issues. The problem is that every 3 minutes and 50 seconds, the VPN will go down for a few seconds. It looks like it rekeys. My stuff will stop responding and then it will re-establish and it is fine. It happens every 3 minutes and 50 seconds like clockwork.
    I have checked everything I could think of and am not sure where the issue is. I know I can do detailed debugs on the IPSec but am not sure what I should be looking there. The basic debug just givs the generic message below that says the tunnel can't communicate with the peer. I have seen that message before but not usually with a VPN that establishes. Generally if this message comes up, the tunnel never works.
    Any ideas would be great.
    Thanks
    Neal
    Group = DefaultL2LGroup, IP = X.X.X.X, Removing peer from peer table failed, no match!
    Group = DefaultL2LGroup, IP = X.X.X.X, Error: Unable to remove PeerTblEntry

    I did more testing and it seems that the tunnel sites at the MM_ACTIVE state and doesn't go past that. The information is the same on both ends of the tunnel and traffic passes fine when at this state but then it rekeys after about 4 minutes and starts again.
    I tried changing the tunnel to an Aggresive Mode tunnel but using a name for the remote office firewall ID and now it sits at AM_ACTIVE but doesn't go past that point either.

  • NIC/Audio dies after a few minutes

    PROBLEM:  Within an hour of use of the system with any NIC being used to connect to cable modem, the following happens:
    1.  NIC stops working (as evidenced by all downloads, chats, browsing ceasing to work)
    2.  sometimes the onboard sound may simply stop working prior to or after this
    3.  system stuttering (mouse moves normally/fluidly, but the apps respond very sluggishly while the task monitor shows low/no cpu utilization)
    4.  eventually lock up (but not freeze: mouse still often visibly movable) occurs requiring reboot
    SYSTEM SPECS:
    KM2M-Combo-L (MS6738)
    XP-2400+ w/ Boxed fan

    Seagate Barracuda 80GB 7200 Primary master
    LG CDRW 48/12/48 Secondary master
    Creative CDRW 8/4/32 Secondary slave
    Windows 2000SP4(but SP0 same problem)
    All the latest MSI drivers using LiveUpdate3 (including BIOS 1.3-latest version)
    Motorola Surfboard Cable Modem
    CLUES:
    The problem happens faster if I do audio or video applications like playing winamp, watching a movie or playing a 3d game (with 10 minutes).
    The problem goes away if I disable the onboard NIC through Windows Device Manager.
    Surprisingly, the problem comes back when I add and use a PCI NIC for internet connectivity with the onboard NIC still disabled.
    However, the problem is absent if I use a USB connection to my cable modem.
    The problem was evident in the first hours of my first successful POST after assembly, during my first long download (of the SP4 files), i.e. while still at "SP0".
    I dont know what to do next:  should I exchange the motherboard or should I use a different operating system like WinXP.  This doesnt feel like hardware issue, but I need to figure out soon before I run out of time from returning the motherboard to the reseller.

    UPDATE:
    I just now had the sound die and system stutter followed by total freeze while installing I-Speeder, even though I am on the cable modem via USB.  However, I still have not had any problem with internet "stutter" since switching from (onboard or pci) NIC to USB for internet.
    WONKANOBY: Thanks for replying.  You seem to misunderstand...the problem happens with no PCI cards installed whatsoever, so how could this be IRQ?  Yet, I am intrigued by your suggestion that this could be an IRQ conflict.  However is this possible with nothing but a mouse and keyboard plugged in?  Should I try switching the optical mouse over to USB (currently its ps/2) and free up and IRQ?  I also just disabled the Com1/Com2/LPT2 ports since I am not using them. Thank you.
    BAS: Thanks for replying. I checked and the PSU says
       3.3V/20A 5V/30A 3.3V+5V/180A 12V/15A
    which I see from your other excellent troubleshooting posts you believe is not enough on 3 of 4 power counts for a 2400+.  Especialy
    But, BAS, does my problem really fit the power-starvation profile?  The network problem went away when I went to USB connection which uses more power than onboard NIC I would think.
    Is there a way I can be sure before I go back to my reseller and demand they let me tradeup for a beefier case than what they sold me with the rest of the system?
    For example, is it as simple as disconnecting every non-essential peripheral inside (2 CDROM/RW drives, floppy) and seeing if that makes the problem go away/lessen?   Or shall I go the other way and hook up an extra case fan, etc. and see if the problem worsens with more load?

  • Presario C500 DIES 1 Minute After Start Up

    While running one week ago the C500 died. The battery indicator (lighting bolt on front) was blinking. I replaced the battery and the AC power adapter with no change. In fact the new battery will not even charge much less power on while the only thing that happens is the power on button LED flashes along with LED's on the front (Power, Battery & HDD) The closest it comes to working is with the original battery and either one of the power adapters but only for the minute.
    With that in mind, what are my options? I have been quoted $70 to diagnose the C500. If I need to replace the DC converter it will be around $200 and if it is the motherboard around $400 to $500. I purchased this new in April 2007 for $650 and to say I am pissed off that I am having to discuss spending this amount so soon is an understatement.
    Any and all thoughts are welcomed. Thanks.

    Similar but not exact case. I know this is an old post and I am packing away the fubared C500 in question for posterity but I would like an answer someday as this problem is niggeling at me like crazy and I would like to know! My C500 runs only on the battery. If the adapter is plugged in it shows that the battery is at, for example, 80% and charging. Couple minutes later it is 75% & charging and keeps going down until it stops running. If you plug in the adapter without the battery, except for a lightly flickering charging LED - nothing.
    It started when I was trying to get a power supply with a frayed wire to connect. After jiggling it about and stuff I rebooted and got a checksum error. I replaced the CMOS battery and that went away but I got the symptoms described above. The battery is good as is the charger (now) and I replaced the power jack. I replaced the Power, LED button system board and tried to change the motherboard. I think the new motherboard is duff but I can use it to charge the battery - ie with the spare jack and charger I connect the battery to the 'bad' motherboard and hey presto - a full battery and a working computer for about 2 hours - less actually.
    It seems to me too much of a coincidence that the CMOS batter blew/ran out just as this problem arose and I was messing about with a power adapter?  Must have surged it in some way but what could blow in the charging circuit?
    Also, is it possible the new (but used) motherboard doesn't work because of some other suspect component - it seems unlikely as the only thing that works on the new motherboard is the only thing that doesn't work on the old one. And the old motherboard is 44169  5-001 and the new 44169  6-001. Every thing I can check says that ought to be ok but is it? The replacement MB is from a C300 but they are practically identical and every motherboard on eBay shows that the MB supports either  C300 or C500.
    The problem with the new MB is that it spins the fan and the disk but refuses to light up the screen at all so I assume it is either duff or incompatible-I have swapped them back and forth 6 times and they both behave consistently badly in their own distinct ways. also tried the old oven trick to reflow the solder but nothing.
    So, although this C500 is destined for the attic or parts show I would like to know the answer - just the way I am I'm afraid. Thanks for reading if anybody did or got this far.

  • Help! My database connection from BMP Entity bean dies after a while!!!

    Hi all!
    I posted a related post about this lately How do I use connection pooling from BMP Entity Beans in OC4J 10.1.2? but it didn't solve my problems.
    I have some entity beans coded with BMP, so I handle all database stuff myself. I have set up datasources.xml like this:
        <data-source
            class="com.evermind.sql.DriverManagerDataSource"
            name="OracleDS"
            location="jdbc/OracleCoreDS"
            xa-location="jdbc/xa/OracleXADS"
            ejb-location="jdbc/OracleDS"
            connection-driver="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
            username="scott"
            password="tiger"
            url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@//URL TO DB:SID"
            inactivity-timeout="30"
            min-connections="10"
            max-connections="50"
        />All JNDI connection lookup is done through the ejb-location as I should. I have been through all my try {} catch {} finally {} blocks, so ensure that I close all objects after use.
    After a few hours of inactivity, my program dies. I have inserted a lot of debug statements (System.out.println()), and it seems like the program hangs when it's trying to execute a PreparedStatement.
    I.e. it dies when I do ps.ExecuteQuery in the code below (NOTE: to make things easier to read, I have stripped out all error handling here):
        Context ic = new InitialContext();
        DataSource ds = (DataSource)ic.lookup("jdbc/OracleDS");
        c = ds.getConnection();
        System.out.println("DEBUG: Got database connection.");
        PreparedStatement ps = c.prepareStatement("SELECT foobar FROM footable WHERE foo=?");
        System.out.println("DEBUG: Prepared SQL statement.");
        ps.setString(1,"foo");
        ResultSet rs = ps.executeQuery();
        // Close all objects (rs, ps, c) here.My database is on another physical server, so I wonder if this is caused by an unstable network, or?
    Please help!
    ~Morten

    Hi again!
    Sorry for the delay, but I have been busy lately.
    Anyway: Our application server is 10.1.2, so I don't think patch 4307303 is relevant here. Database server is Oracle 9.2.0.6. Everything runs on Linux (of course) ;-).
