3750 product question

I have basic product question on cisco 3750 series switches.
I have a few different models here
WS-C3750-24TS-E
WS-C3750G-24PS-E
WS-C3750G-24PS-S
WS-C3750G-24TS-S1U
WS-C3750G-48PS-S
WS-C3750G-48TS-S
WS-C3750X-48PF-S
WS-C3750X-48T-S
Questions
1. What do the TS-E , PS-E, PS-S, PF-S, T-S etc stand for ?
2. Also within the 48 port switches if i have to create a stack , would i be able to mix models in creating a stack ?

show power inline and have taken the details of my second switch  ...

  • Acrobat Saving issue or Product Question

I am developing a .net c# software to be used in house. I have Adobe Professional 8. I am able to put the pdf file into a form using the acrobat.dll file that comes with professional and this allows me to save the filled forms locally and also print them which is exactly what I need except for one thing. I'm going to have about 20 users in the building use this program and it's my understanding that distributing the software with the appropriate dll's won't work. Every user will have to have a copy of Professional on there machine in order to make it work. This would be very expensive and I doubt if I could sell it to upper management.
The reader activex module works perfectly except you can't save the files programmatically you have to use the damn save button on the toolbar which is unacceptable. I can't have users saving and naming forms anything and anywhere they want to.
I understand the need for Adobe not allowing people to have access to local hard drives on the internet, but my software will go no where near a web page.
My question is, is there a product that Adobe makes that would allow me to save filled pdf files locally.
I could even use the ability to save just the data, if I could read it in later. (Anyone have a clue or a bright Idea).
I would rather not use a third party control, but I may be forced to.
    Robert

It may be possible to setup a save button on the screen that uses JavaScript to do the job. I am not sure, but it might be a solution to your problem.
Before you go too much further, it might be worth taking a bit of time to read the EULA with regards to the user rights to be sure your use is within the limits of the EULA. The EULA does not look at forms in the sense of web distribution, but in terms of using the form. I think it also is in terms of number of uses.
Purchasing the extended rights server is probably not a reasonable solution for you at the price that it typically costs. For a small office, it would probably be cheaper to buy everyone Acrobat.
As long as the EULA is not a limiting feature, then look at alternatives such as JavaScript for saving the forms. I am a bit concerned about the automatic nature that Acrobat may have some issues with. Also, depending on the network saving to a network drive may be an issue - several folks have had problems with that.
I probably am not helping in understanding you need either, but at least it is another twist to consider.

  • 3750 stacking questions (2)

My first questin has to do with the Console port in a stack. It has been observed that the console port on the master switch is designated "Con 0". So my question is how do I access the other con ports on member switches to configure them?
The second question is what is the mechanism for statically numbering all of the switches in a stack so they are always numbered the way I configure them to be ie in case of some disaster or power outage I need to know that switch 5 will come back as switch 5 even if switches 1-4 do not come back to life.
    Thanks

    1. When you connect via a console cable to any of the switches in a stack you always access the stack master. The stack master is the only switch that can be used to configure the stack and its members. Assuming you have a stack of two 48 port (10/100/1000) switches; switch 1 is the master and switch 2 is a stack member. If you want to configure ports on switch2 you just use the appropriate port numbers (int gig 2/0/1 to 2/0/52). If for some reason you need console access to a stack member you can use the 'session ' command; however, do keep in mind that this access will be limited to only show and debug commands. All configuration is done via the stack master.
    2. You can renumber a switch to ensure that it always retains the same number by using the 'stack renumber ' command. For example to renumber switch 2 in a stack to 3 you will use 'switch 2 renumber 3' global configuration command.
The following URL has great information on how to manage switch stacks.

  • General Product Question For Beginner

    Hello,
I was thinking of purchasing Adobe Connect Enterprise Server
6 and had a question regarding licensing, but didn’t want to
receive the hard sell from an Adobe representative.
I wish to deploy Adobe connect on a single server behind a
firewall and with an estimated on/off access of around 200 users.
Does anybody use it for a similar scenario? If so what additional
features have you decided to use and how easy has it been to
    integrate?
Most importantly for me, on a cost basis, how does the
licensing work for the product itself and the additional add-ons,
is it a per user cost or per instillation?
All very basic questions, but I thought I would dip my toes
in the water slowly  Any comments would be most helpful.
    Thanks

  • Which Product questions

    Howdy,
I am a private photographer. I have a Nikon D90 camera and a Windows Vista OS on my computer. Which Adobe product would best suit me so that I can enhance, create special effects, insert text, sharpen or blur my images and otherwise make changes to my photos to make them more interesting or creative?
I am looking at the Nikon Capture NX2 program that is offered by Nikon and believe it may do some of the photoshop type changes to my photos but I am not sure it can keep up with the Adobe product(s).
I do not want to pay a monthly fee to use ANY program so an outright purchase is in order. Paying two to five thousand dollars also is not in reality for my usage.
I do not know where to get any one on one advice and coaching from any qualified Adobe representative but that sure would be a lot nicer than some highschool kid in the local computer store.
I live in Arizona. I have attended Nikon schools and seminars that are Nikon sponsored and taught by Nikon employees here in Arizona.  Will Adobe ever do such a school or seminar? I am sure it would be
very well attended. A suggestion is to have it in the Prescott Arizona area as that is near the center of the state and then we would not have to drive some crazy distance to attend.
If you can provide me with some real good information on which Adobe program I should buy, please share that with me. I do not know if the CS5 or the CS6 are programs that I need or if there are better
Adobe programs for my needs and wants.
If I have not provided enough information to assist you, please feel free to ask me.
    Thank you.

You should try downloading the trial version of Photoshop/Photoshop Extended and see if it does all of what you are hoping to be able to do.

If you have questions about it or about products related to it, post them in the Photoshop forum.  Folks there may know other softw3are options that you can consider as well.

  • Post Production Question: Who's responsible...?

In light of my most recent post, receiving video files that are unusable, the following question came to mind:
When delivering video files to an editor or post house, who's responsible for making certain the files are compatible with the NLE being used, the producer/director/cameraman or the editor/post house?
Thanks! Looking forward to the opinions.

    Joe,
I agree - first, the editor should provide necessary specs., whether to shooters, or folk doing preliminary editing, say with dalies.
When I contracted work out, I was always very specific on what I wanted, and how to deliver it. Without my agreement to any change, the contract was null and void - my way, or the highway. It always worked well, and most suppliers greatly appreciated the instructions. As I did quite a bit of work with contractors on Mac's, I felt that my instructions were very important, as many Mac folk seemed to want to do things in proprietary, Mac-only formats, unless specifically instructed NOT to. In some cases, it almost seemed to be a passive-aggressive move. Do not know if it existed going the other way, as I never used a Mac. When sending my work out to a Mac-house, I always wanted to be 100% positive that what I delivered worked perfectly on the Macs, so sought THEIR instructions in great detail.
The same holds true for people in the production lineup, for graphics work too, though one often has to ask for those specs., whether from a printer, a sep house, or an artist in the workflow. I always communicated with all of MY suppliers, and always asked for complete instructions from the person/company, that was the "next step." I was often amazed how lackidasical some sep houses and printers could be, when specs. were requested, and I always took that as a bad sign. As most of the choices of others in the chain were usually hired by my client, I just saw it as a red flag, and would push for specifics, and ask for them in writing, either a PDF, or FAX to me, just in case something ever went wrong. [Side note: if anything DOES go wrong, ALWAYS attend the "post-mortem" meeting, as all blame will fall on the "empty chair."]
I also learned to never trust any specs. that a client furnished, as they usually were not well versed in the terms and requirements of production, and would loosely translate things, getting many wrong - sort of like the parlor game "Telephone." I would always contact the next in line, and get the instructions myself, as I knew what to ask for, and could speak the "lingo."
    Good luck to the OP.

  • Refurbished Products Question

    Hey Everyone---
This question does not apply to only the iBook in general, but to all refurbished Apple products. If anybody has purchased a product from Apple that was refurbished...I was wondering how that program is! Please let me know which product you bought, and if it had any blemishes, or signs of use on it! It would be great to know, because I am very interested in purchasing an iBook, but I don't know if I could spend $ 1,000 at the moment! Please let me know how the refurbished products are! Thanks a lot!
    Chris

    Hello Chris07,
I purchased my refurbished iBook in March of 2004. It looked brand new, no scratches or blemishes of any kind. The one problem I had out of the box was with the adapter, they shipped my iBook with a PowerBook adapter, it wouldn't allow me to use the power cable extender. I was able to resolve the issue by calling Apple tech support. The other problem I had was with the logic board failing twice since I had it. This is a known issue with the G3 iBooks. Apple has repaired it both times and I was very satisfied with the quick turnaround time (4 days the first time and 3 days the second). I feel at ease knowing they will cover the logic board issue for 3 years from the date of purchase. Now I thinking about getting the refurbished PB G4 1.5ghz with Superdrive... once I can persuade my wife

  • New to the product - question about validating multiple fields as a group

I have a static form that I'm building from a word document.  Part of that form requires a person to fill any 3 out 5 text fields.
Since it looks like scripts are applied on a field by field basis, is it possible to have a script that encompasses multiple fields?
Would any script need to be applied to each field in turn?
Assuming the answer to question 1 is a yes, how would you script it to require x number of fields out of a total of y to have some sort of content in order to validate?
I'm pretty familiar with JavaScript and am looking at the Scripting reference guides but was hoping for a helping hand to get me there quicker as I'm in a bit of a time crunch - doing 18 forms with validation and database connectivity by January 15 certainly qualifies in my book.
I would assume you'd do something like this but am unsure of the syntax...
    Get values of each field
Set a valid counter variable for the number of fields with content
If field 1 is not empty, increment the valid counter
    (rinse and repeat)
if the valid counter is less than 3 throw an error message
Many thanks in advance for any help offiered

1). Yes, scripting within Livecycle can be for a single field or even static text, images and other artifacts within the PDF. Really anything, within Adobe's reason, when it comes to scripting.
2). It depends on what you want to do. Things like field validations, calculations and other instances where fields are tied togther really dictate how the script runs.
3). Fields that have calculations or validations with them work in the same, I believe. So for example I have a PDF that I made that is an Excel-type sheet that contains a few hundred cells and every single one has some type of validation or calculation associated with it. I generally run the calculations/validations from the user inputting the data and then after that the script runs, but again, it really dpeneds on what you are doing and with what, so answering some of your questions are a bit difficult.
Javascrip/Formcalc are wonderful tools within PDF, but don't forget the Action Builder (Tools -Action Builder). It is a set of preloaded actions that are turn-key. Just select the cells that will have the action and select the result you want from the preloaded list of actions, using those actions can get you very far, and most of all; they are quick to implement without researching code. So for example, you could use the Action Builder to create an action that checks certain fields and if they are null to return a 1 value to a specific numericField (these could be hidden). Then have a "total" numericField (this would be your counter) that adds all of those fields with the 1 in it. Then create another Action Builder for that "total" numericField and if it is less than 3, display a message box that is a warning.

  • Random Weight Product Question

    Hi All
Do you know of any user exit that we can use in every movement in the Inventory Management (should cover all manual as well as automatic movements as well as custom movement types), so that for certain random weighted products, we can ask the user to enter Actual Qty in alternate Unit of measure (std SAP only stores the qty in base UOM) and then we store that information in a Z table to keep track of Qty in alternate UOM for each SKU/ Batch in a plant/ sloc.
With every goods movement for these random weight products, we then either add or subtract the Qty in alternate UOM (based on the movement type) to keep the qty in the alternate UOM accurate.
This is required because the nature of random weighted products is such that each piece can weigh differently eg 1 leg of ham can weigh 10Kg but another can weigh 11Kg and another may be 9 Kg. In mat master we can only store one fixed conversion factor between base UOM and alternate UOM. (perhaps 10 kG = 1each). Our base UOM is Kg and alternate UOM is Each. We want to do ATP in sales orders based on Each, delivery picking in each, but charge customer based on $ per Kg.
This is so that we have clear cut visibility of the stock in alternate UOM as well (std SAP updates stock in base UOM correctly but only shows the stock in alternate UOM based on nominal conversion factor from material master). We will use one of the product attributes in material master to indicate that the product is random weight product.
We are on ECC6 and are not contemplating using catch weight management at this stage as it may be 6 month project by itself and trying to see if we can do some customisations for random weight products.
    Thanks
    Subodh Deshpande

Why dont you use "Batch specific units of measure"  functionality?
here you can define a "Product unit" . this wil take care of your stocks per batch in Alternate Uom as well.
In every first  goods receipt of a batch  ( external or inhouse )  you will have to give the qty in AUM w.r.t Base unit :
eg: Material M1 ,  base unit KG   , AUM : BAG
    Batch1 : 2 BAGs @ 3 KG per Bag .
    Batch2:  2 BAGs @ 5 KG per Bag .
Now if you issue 1 BAG from Batch1 , system will reduce Stock by 3KG.
you can also see batch wise stocks in AUM (with batch specific conversion factor)  in BMBC report.
you can also develop some report with the help of batch characteristic values for Mass display of stocks in AUM.

  • Yet one more production question: search topics

This might be another pain in the rear question, but I am
looking for a way to globally replace text throughout all topics.
Does Robo have a way to search through ALL topics so that I
can replace text? (This isn't something right now that can be
handled via snippets or variables as the original text is not in a
variable or a snippet. We've decided to change some phrasing and I
am looking for keywords that I can highlight/find so I can reword
the text. I very well may be able to insert snippets or variables
during editing, but will want to locate all instances of a
    particular word or phrase.)
    I have about 50 - 60 separate topics in a project and I'd
like not to have to eye ball each topic in order to find the
    string/phrase.
    Thanks!

    Hi there
RoboHelp does offer a utility called Multi-file find and
replace. But it's probably only reliable for single words. If you
want something fancier and more robust, consider BK ReplacEm or
    FAR.

  • Product Question

Hi! I have a ADSL multi modem and i want to use it for about 2 kilometer area . can you suggest me what kind of accessories i just need and which model is the best one ... ?
Really i wanna to find how i can use my own internet in about 2 kilometer and i dont know what i do need but i can tell you which i am using telenor ZyXEL P2812 multimodem ... and one more thing please suggest me any thing which i can use it simply thanks

As I understand you want to use your existing internet connection from a certain ISP having a modem ZyXEL P2812 at a distance of 2 kilometers. Well, I'm afraid this won't be possible using any of the Linksys products. The wireless products made by Linksys are for home use only and these do not have a range so as to use them outside an average sized home of a couple of floors.
What I can suggest is to go to the community forum for business series products for Cisco and inquire from there. The link is https://supportforums.cisco.com/community/netpro/small-business

  • Product Questions

    1) Is this product 1 antenna or 3?
    AIR-ANT2430V-R (2.4-GHz 3 dBi Triple omni Antenna 3 RP-TNC; Spare)
    AIR-ANT5140V-R (5-GHz 4 dBi Triple Omni Antenna 3 RP-TNC; Spare)
    a) Besides the additional gain these antennas provide, are there any
additional benefits compared to the AIR-ANT2422DG-R or AIR-ANT5135DG-R?
    2) Also, are there any plans for directional (patch) antennas for the
    1252 Access Point?
    3) Can you use different model antennas on the same 1252 Access Point?
    4) We currently conduct site surveys using AirMagnet Survey Pro using
    the Cisco CB21AG card.
Does Cisco Aironet currently have a MIMO client adapter? If not, when
    is it expected?
    5) Can you comment on Air-magnet or any other vendors draft 2.0 wi-fi
certified client cards as a part of the Unified Network Solution?
Have any MIMO client adapters (cardbus, PCMCIA or otherwise) been accepted
    as Cisco Compatible?
    6) The problem of powering both radio modules during a site survey. It
can be done using a power injector connected to a dedicated power
source such as a UPS battery. What other options are there?
What switches are capable of powering both radios simultaneously?

Let me give this a shot...
    1) These antenna are 3 antennas built into one unit
    a) Antenna choice also depends on how you want to mount the antenna. Ceiling mount or the use of di-poles.
    2) From what I heard they will eventually, but no date as of yet.
    3) You have to use all three of the same antennas on the radio. You can't mix different gain antennas on the 1252....
    4) Cisco is not making anymore wifi cards. They have been working closely with Intel with the draft 2.0 standard.
    5) Until the 802.11N is a standard, you will not see anything being certified.
    6) Sparco Technologies has a batter pack that will power the 1252 for around 6 hours 40 minutes. You can also use this to power up the other ap's. Ask for Nathan.
    7) You will need an e-Series switch

  • Adobe Creative Suites3 Production question

Im looking to use CS3 Production as an extra tool with my other editing. I thought that Premier Pro would not cross over to a mac platform, but I just found a software site that advertises CS3 with Premier Pro for Mac. Am I mistaken or can I now use Premier Pro on my Macbook Pro?

    I thought so.
Aren't CS3 and CS4 Suites fully compatible across OS X and Windows?

  • Product Question- TX2-1360ca

    Hello Guys,
I was wondering if this product is discontinued? I can't find any retailers/e-tailers that carries the tablet TX2-1360ca.

The TM2 is the successor to the TX2-series. The only version currently available in Canada is the TM2-1070ca.
From what I can tell, the TX2 has been all but discontinued. HPShopping.ca has a "Call" instead of "Buy Now" button on their website for the TX2-1360ca.
