3d graph plot from .txt

Hi
I have some .txt datas which I want to visualize. I need one of the wavelenght columns as x axis; and the last column OE1_Channel1 as z axis. Last I have ~100 .txt which should build the y axis.
I dont know how to go on, "delete from array" seems to be not enough, and I have no idea how to build this plot from several .txts

This is what I did befor, but I haven´t discovered yet how to make one row the y axis and how to make several txts the x axis.

A graph is just a display of different points in graphical form. You can actually get the points out of the graph, remove the points of the plot you want to take out from the array, and put it back into the graph.
Another way I've done it is to use the property nodes, and make the color of the line on the graph transparent. That way, the data is still there, but the plot is invisible.

I need to copy a chart og waveform graph to another waveform graph in runtime, but its not working, I tried to copy froma chart to a graph by using the history property, but it didn't work coz it just runs the data from the chart the same way in the graph. I sort off want a standing plot from the chart to graph. or from graph to graph. it doesn't matter.
The meaning by that is that I want to check the data , by using the graph pallete and the cursor pallette.
But I can't do that if the source graph is running.
so by copieng the graphs data to another graph. i can check the data all the time i want.
I Hope someone out there Understand what I mean. My english is not that good.

Pass entire list of XY graph properties from Main vi to Subvi XY Graph

Hello Everyone,
I have an XY graph in my main vi that allows users to review data. They have control over how they want to display the data on this graph(scale,color,line style, etc). I have a subvi that excepts and array of XY graph plots (multi-plot) and prints the graph as the user has set it up. As of right now I am passing only certain properties from the main XY graph to the subvi XY graph using property nodes. Using this method only the important items are being passed (scale, flipped, xy scale name label) mainly because I have been to lazy to sit down and make a cluster containing all the property values. I have to beleive that there is a way for me to pass a reference from the main XY graph to the subvi XY graph that will set all the properties in the Subvi graph to the same settings that the Main XY graph has.

Passing a reference to the subvi seems to be half of the solution that I am looking for. This allows me full access to all propertys of the main graph. The problem is that once I am inside the subvi I still have to select what properties I want to pass to the subvi graph. (see attached image). My goal is to pass the reference to the subvi and then have every property of the main graph be assinged to every property of the subvi graph. This way no matter what the user changes on the main graph (line style, width, color, scales, precision, etc) the subvi graph will reflect this. With the method displayed in the image I have to manually select the properties that I think will most likely be edited. And if I miss one the user will not get an exact match of the main graph. I am hoping there is a way to do this, if not then I will just have to sit down and pass all the property values from the reference to the subvi graph but this seems like the hard way of doing it.

3D graph plot properties - cannot be changed

Hi all,
I still cannot change the plot properties of the 3D graph. I open the Plot Properties tab up and it gets stuck on the first page.
This means that I cannot release any VIs which use the 3D graph - a big problem.
Has anyone else experience this? What do you suggest to fix it.

I have experienced exactly the same behavior (can not change 3D graph plot properties) with 3D plots (scatter and surface) in LabVIEW 2011. The 3D plot properties page works correctly at first but then fails to switch pages after larger data sets have been loaded to the graph. For example, my scatter graph contains 13 plots, each with 320 points of data. Once the page "gets stuck" it is stuck for all 3D graphs until the offending graph is deleted and re-created. To reproduce this issue create at least one 3D plot with a large number of plots in it.
On a related note, if there was a programmatic method for deleting plots from a 3D graph then it's possible that this issue could be worked around.

Stop plots from continuously updating in edit mode

I have many plots on a graph in the Report section of DIAdem. When I am trying to put lables in for the axes and a title for the plot, every move I make I have to wait like 10 seconds because it re-updates all the plots. Is there a way to stop the plots from continuously updating during the edit phase?

I have another indirect suggestion that might help with your questions.
Starting with DIAdem 2011 we have a new display type that allows you to add points to graphs programmatically, i.e. you will be able to enter the X and Y of a curve you wish to point to and DIAdem will draw an arrow to that point, and move it when you resize an axis system. See example plot below.
You can join the Beta test for DIAdem 2011 and test this for yourself at http://www.ni.com/beta - you can use my email address (our email addresses are [email protected]) for the NI reference to participate in the Beta test.
I know that doesn't solve your immediate issue, but it might solve your problem when DIAdem 2011 is released and you will be able to automate the task you are right now doing manually.

Bode plot instrument reading differs when compared to grapher plot

Good Day,
Need some help to understand why the bode plot instrument plot (clicking the instrument to see plot) is different from the grapher plot when run in "simulate >>> analysis >>> AC analysis >>> vertical scale (db) >>> simulate.
Problem happens if the AC source AC analysis magnitude is changed from 1(default) to another value. i.e 6.
Please help advise, it seems the bode plotter is only considering the default AC analysis default magnitude value of 1?.

The circuit being simulated is AC source connected to an RLC circuit and Vo is accross C. L and C assume some small series resistances.

In the AC Analysis I set the stop frequency to 100 KHz which is the stop frequency of the Bode Plotter instrument. When I ran the analysis after doing this and compared it to the bode plotter, it was a nearly identical output. Try to configure the start and stop frequency to match in the AC Analysis and in the Bode Plotter and you should see much better results.

Rwbld60.exe error while calling a graph wizard from reports 6i.

I have a latest patch 4f installed on my machine for reports 6i. When i call a graph wizard from my reports i am getting a program error saying "rwbld60.exe has generated errors".
How do i confirm that my new patch is installed successfully.

Auto delete everything but specified folder contents from txt file

I am brand new to using Powershell (like 48 hours into using it for work) and I've run into a bit of an issue. I've only taken a programming concept classes so some of the stuff makes sense to me but a lot of it is new. Basically I've made a
script that automatically deletes any files over X amount of days. My next step is to have an exceptions text that will have a list of folders that should not have its contents deleted. This is what I have so far.

The script below may be also helpful for you, and uses the -whatif parameter in Remove-Item cmdlet, which doesn’t actually remove anything but simply tells you what would happen if you did call Remove-Item.

Wavefrom graph time from .csv file

Hello everyone. I had this problem something about three weeks ago:

and solved it by changing the delimiter to a comma decimal delimitter with the format %,;%.2f
But this problem occurs again suddenly!.

Iam using a table in numbers to plot daily graph lines. If I fill a cell with a text box at say zero it plots the graph. I can't actually set the cell value until the actual day but the graph plots it at zero when I don't want it to plot anything. Is tho

The answer is (sort of) in your subject, but edited out of the problem statement in the body of your message.
When you use a stepper or a slider, the value in the cell is always numeric, and is always placed on the chart if that cell is included in the range graphed by the chart.
But if you use a pop-up menu cell, you can specify numeric or text values in the list of choices for in the menu. Numeric values will be shown on the chart. Text values will not.
For the example, the values list for the pop-up menu was:

-1
-3
-5
The first pop-up was set to display Choose, then the cell was filled down the rest of the column. Any text value (including a single space, if you want the cell to appear blank) may be used instead of Choose.
For charts with negative Y values, the X axis will not automatically appear at Y=0. If your value set will include negative values, I would suggest setting the Y axis maximum and minimum to the maximum and minimum values on your menu list, rather than letting Numbers decide what range to include on the chart. Place a line shape across the chart at the zero level, and choose to NOT show the X axis.

How to read data from txt file respectively

I am triying to form an equation between two known points. I want to do this with the attached VI, the most critical point is that I will read the x1, y1, x2 and y2 coordinates from the same .txt file. They will be written in a .txt file and I will send them to the appropriate channel (x1, y1, x2 and y2) respectively. How can I get data in a rule from a .txt file?

Thank you very much for your helps, I am bit new to labview so I usually can not find the appropriate functions easily. And a new problem has rised in my application. I should write the A, B and C numbers in the respective series to the file 2.txt. I am able to write them in a straight forward case but I want to write the next triples (A B C) in the next row. Like this;
A1 B1 C1
A2 B2 C2
A3 B3 C3
So how can I put new line constant and space constant to my VI?
