402 ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT

Hi Experts,
Many messages are stuck in Inbound queue(smq2) with sysfail error. When i activate the queue it goes into Running status, but still messages doesn't pass.
When i navigate to moni screen the message is in error status and fail at the pipeline step CALL ADAPTER with the error--
XIServer
CLIENT_RECEIVE_FAILED
402
ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT
I have tried to enter the HTTP_TIMEOUT value in the runtime category of IE configuration(sxmb_adm), but it gives the warning "Specify the timeout in seconds(0=system default)".
Please suggest me what should be the subparameter and current value for parameter HTTP_TIMEOUT.
Also help me with the solution to resolve this issue..
Regards,
Suresh.

Hi Praveen,
Its a file to idoc scenario. The receiver system is SAP. The payload is not huge (12,286 bytes)
The messages are getting processed but taking very long time.
The messages stuck in the queue belongs to many interfaces, not just this one.

Vikash

  • ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT - INTERNAL.CLIENT_RECEIVE_FAILED

    Hello,
I have set up the following scenariro:
Synchronous Communication between SAP R/3 and an external Orcale Database via ABAP-Proxy on the R/3-Side and JDBC on the Oracle-Side. The whole thing works fine as long as the requests don't get too big.
But now I have to make an initial Download from the Oracle-DB which approximately lasts about 5 hours. In this case my "Timeout-Problem" begins:
In R/3 I get the following Error in SXMB_MONI:

Has anybody an idea, which Parameter(s) can be responsible for this situation ???
I tried to lift up the TIMEOUT-PARAMETERS on both sides. Here are the Parameters in R/3:
    icm/server_port_0     PROT=HTTP,PORT=1080,TIMEOUT=36000
    icm/keep_alive_timeout (sec.)  = 60
    icm/conn_timeout (msec.)       = 5000
Here are the Parameters in XI:
    icm/server_port_0     = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8001,TIMEOUT=34200
    icm/keep_alive_timeout (sec.)  = 60
    icm/conn_timeout (msec.)       = 5000
The Timeout always comes after 15 min.
Would be great if anybody has an idea - Thanks a lot

  • PI 7.0 - SMICM - Host Name - Conflict with other places

    Hi Friends,
We have host name conflict in SMICM and in other places.
For example, in SMICM it shows the host name 'A' for HTTP protocol and it is green, where as in other places like in RZ10 (Profiles in ABAP), Exchange Profiles (Connection Parameters, Host name), in SLD and in Visual Admin the host name is mentioned as 'B'.
At present, the messages are failing in SXMB_MONI with the error "CLIENT_RECEIVE_FAILED 402 ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT  ".
When we checked the paramter "icm/host_name_full" in RZ11,it shows the empty value.
This problem comes in our quality PI system, ABAP stack.
Could you kindly clarify in SMICM for the HTTP service from where the host name is taken and displays here?
    Kind regards,
    Jegathees P.

Connect to the operating system. Check this file (replace xxx with your SID and, if applicable, 00 with the correct instance):
    C:\usr\sap\xxx\SYS\profile\xxx_DVEBMGS00_ILBNKxxx
    Find this line:
    icm/host_name_full = hostname.company.corp
Is this maybe empty / incorrect / incomplete?
After changing this the server needs to be restarted.
Sometimes we had strange behaviors after host name changes, which went away after going to sicf -> execute -> right-click on default host -> deactivate -> right-click again -> activate -> in the pop-up click the second activate button, which is for activating the system and all dependent entries.

  • Retry messages on Http adapter

    Hi all,
i've got a scenario IDOC-to-HTTP, my problem is that sometimes i'm getting an HTTP error (error code 402 - timeout) from the server we're connecting to.
I would like to know if there are any possibility of configuring XI to automatically retry the message with errors a given number of times.
at the moment, we have to re-process the wrong messages by hand through sxmb_moni transaction
thanks in advance for your help.
    Fabian

    Hi,
You can also increase icm/conn_timeout  parameter so that you dont get this error.
goto smicm -> goto -> paramerters -> change
look for icm/conn_timeout and increase its value
    sxmb_adm -> Integration Engine COnfiguration -> Specific Configuration -> Runtime parameter HTTP_TIMEOUT
Please refer the below link. it  talks abut the same problem.

  • Edit XML before receiving by Receiving HTTPS Receiver

    Hello
I need to connect to target system using HTTPS and I have used a DTD given by the target system.
The target system expects an HTTPS request in an XML format.
This XML shall have a DOCTYPE comment immediately after first line of XML declaration.
    Ex:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE method_name PUBLIC "-//method_path" "http://dtd.doamin_name.com/method_name.dtd">
I used Message Mapping to acheive mapping and it failed while testing.
The SXMB_MONI shows that the DOCTYPE is missing and it must be declared.
Is there any way to change the XML message - add the DOCTYPE comment - before the message reaches the HTTPS Receiver?
    Please help.
    Thx

  • XI - Call Adapter Error - HTTP client. Code 402 reason ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT

I am using HTTP adapter to post XML PO to vendor's site. We are having this problem with one of our vendor when PO's has more than 15 line items. XI server is getting error-"Call Adapter Error - HTTP client. Code 402 reason ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT". Actually PO is posted good for the first time on vendor's site but XI is getting above error message and it keeps posting it again. Is there anyway to stop it otherthan manually stopping the XI message? Is there anyway to increase the wait time of the XI server to get the message.
    Thanks in advance.

I'm getting the same issue "500 TIMEOUT error" in runtime work bench-->IE--->Test Message. When i manually trigger the file.
The issue is basically from 01-01-2015 02:00 pm to 02-01-2015 01:am , File is picked from source ftp folder and places in archive but xml messages are not reflecting in SXMB_MONI.
Today suddenly after 01:00 am messages are successfully processing.
Please help on this issue. Many Thanks.

    Hi Experts,
My Scenario is RFC-XI-HTTP syncronous and was working fine for some period.

  • Timeout error in ECC "INTERNAL.CLIENT_RECEIVE_FAILED Error while receiving by HTTP (error code: 402 , error text: ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT)"

    Dear Experts,
I am very critical situation due to this timeout error in ECC, please help me as much as you can. Go-live date is very near, but I am not getting any clue why this error is occurring. our ECC system is EHP 4, and PI is dual stack 7.4
My scenario is synchronous ABAP proxy to HTTP_AAE. request is triggering from ECC via proxy and reaching to third party (bank) through PI, I am reviving the response back in PI from bank. But from PI to ECC the response is not reaching. So in ECC after the defined Timeout limit its getting timed out.
I have tried everything by increasing the timeout in ECC more than 15 minutes in HTTP_TIMEOUT under SXMB_adm in ECC, but nothing worked, even if I am increasing for half an hour then also its getting timeout after half an hour.
response from bank to PI is coming within 30 to 40 seconds, but PI is not sending the response back to ECC.
This is classical scenario, and I have checked the trace via SXMB_Moni in PI as well as in ECC, in ECC its showing the timeout error, but in PI i did not see any trace for this error.
I have read many thread on SCN for the same error, and everywhere it has been suggested to increase the timeout, and I have tired that, it didn't help me.
All ABAP proxy configuration has been done as follows.
    RFC destinations in ECC
    LCRSAPRFC(TCP/IP)
    SAPSLDAPI ((TCP/IP))
G type destination to path "/sap/xi/engine?type=entry"
    G type destination SAP_PROXY_ESR to path "/rep"
All the destination connection test is working fine.
but i have a doubt on G type destination(AAE_XDJ) to path  "/sap/xi/engine?type=entry" which is returns the status code 500 with message "Empty HTTP request received", is it ok with 500 ?
Configuration in ECC Integration Engine configuration is as follows
    Questions
How the message gets pushed to ECC from PI, once the message received in PI, I believe by G type RFC destination on path  "/sap/xi/engine?type=entry" , please clarify.
How to trace this, if message is not getting pushed to ECC, I mean I have checked the trace in PI XSMB_MONI, but didn't get anything for this error. In ECC SXMB_moni only I am able to the timeout error.
Please expert help me as soon as you can, this error really effecting me badly in front of management
    Thanks,
    Farhan

    Hi Hareesh,
I configured the scenario based on ICO, and again I received the same timeout error in ECC.
I am really sick with this error, and I have raised the OSS message to SAP. Meanwhile I just want to double check my entire configuration with you. Please see the below configuration (for classical) for ABAP proxy to HTTP_AAE, and let me know if anything is wrong.

    ESR Configuration
I have simply created 2 data types for requests(ECC->PI->Bank) and did one to one mapping. Similarly for response(Bank->PI->ECC) 2 data types, one to one mapping for this as well.
But I just want to clarify about selecting the Request and response message type in inbound and outbound service interface. please explain me this for synchronous interface.
Please see the below structure from ESR and inbound and Outbound service and let me know if the selection of Request and response message types is correct or not.
    OutBound service interface
    Inbound service interface

  • Problem with performance in flash player 11.4.402.287

    Hi,
We found the problem in 11.4.402.287 flash player. IN Debug version, Flex application works fine but in standard version we experience  problems with performance.
This happens only in 11.4.402 version for Firefox. In another browsers and Flash player versions everything works fine.
For example, 11.3 for Firefox does not have this problem.
Application has a lot of small objects that receives rollover and rollout events and depend on object highlited some of these objects

    Hi,
Can you try 11.5 beta? http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11-5.html

  • "error in script on this page" while trying to install adobe flash player 11.4.402.278

    hello, all --
i am a newbie of long standing , so please forgive my ignorance.  i plead for mercy from the kind and generous people who answer inquiries here.
i got a notice on my computer that a newer version of adobe flash player was available.  the one i had at the time was 11.4.402.265.  the newer version was 11.4.402.278.  i got to where i thought was the right place and clicked "download."  within a few seconds i got a message saying that a "script error" had occurred on the page and did i want to continue running this script.
    -- line 1
    -- char 12948
    -- error, object expected
    -- code 0
    -- URL http://127.0.0.1:1127/app/_js/adobe.js
it doesn't seem to matter whether i click "yes" or "no" on continuing to run the script.  the next thing that happens is that i get a second "script error" notice.
    -- line 1
    -- char 1180
    -- error, 'globalActiveActionItems' is undefined
    -- code 0
    -- URL http://127.0.0.1:2501/app/_js/adobe.js
it doesn't matter whether i click "yes" or "no" on whether i want to keep running the script.  the screen reverts to saying that it is "retrieving install," then i get the second "script error" message again.  and to make things worse, i can't get rid of the "retrieving install" screen; it has the minimizer button and the "quit" button (x), but the "quit" button does nothing, so for now i've simply minimized it.
what has happened here?  what should i do to fix it?  i've tried going back to the beginning and redoing it, but i end up over and over again with the second "script error" message.  i've tried making sure that "scripting" is "enabled" under "tools/internet options/scripting," then closing and reopening internet explorer (a suggestion i found in a similar thread), but the same things keep happening.
    i am on a dell optiplex 330, windows pro XP/SP3, IE 8.0.6001.18702.
thanks to anyone who has any suggestions for me.

I have the same exact problem
    -- line 1
    -- char 12948
    -- error, object expected
    -- code 0
    -- URL http://127.0.0.1:1127/app/_js/adobe.js
    except
it looks like this being on line 2 and not on line 1
    -- line 2
    -- char 12948
    -- error, object expected
    -- code 0
    -- URL http://127.0.0.1:1127/app/_js/adobe.js
i know it was only released 3 weeks ago but i hope someone can help, oh and i tried what susie did.  it didnt work
    thank you for your time

  • Flash Player 11.4.402.265 and Firefox 15/15.0.1 Not Compatible?

I have mentioned this in two recent posts, but wanted to start a new thread to call attention to what I believe is an important issue.
Starting with the update of Firefox 15, and continuing into version 15.0.1, my Firefox browser has logged a series of "silent" crashes.  By silent I mean that there was no visible sign that a crash had taken place.  I found out about them by typing about:crashes into Firefox's address bar.  (I actually do this about once per week just to make sure that there are no problems that should be addressed.)
All of the crashes--and there were dozens--were "empty" in that no source could be identified.  Specifically, the following appeared at the top of each crash report:
Firefox Crash Reports [@ EMPTY: no crashing thread identified; corrupt dump ]
In addition, the crashes were intermittent.   I checked this out by constantly checking for new crashes after calling up various web sites.  For instance, I would would go to Google News, check for a crash report, go to a feature story, check for a crash report, watch a YouTube video, check for a crash report, close Firefox, open it, check for a crash report, etc.  What I found was that I often would visit 20 or more sites before a crash report was filed; however,  an average of  ten crashes appeared daily--again, all with NO indication of what had caused the crash.
At first, I could see no pattern, so I troubleshooted by enabling/disabling hardware acceleration for both Firefox and Flash Player, enabling/disabling cookies, enabling/disabling JavaScript, etc. I spent several hours doing this.
I also scoured the various Firefox "help" forums, but it seemed that the same answers appeared on all of the forums, and they pretty much echoed the troubleshooting steps I had taken. (It seems that the major issue now is the fact that hardware acceleration causes Firefox 15.0.1 to crash for many users.)
Finally, I noticed that I had been on a site containing an embedded flash video, just prior to a crash.  (Interestingly, I never received a crash report after watching a YouTube video on YouTube.)   I then tried disabling Protected Mode in Flash Player, which worked several months ago after the new "sandboxing" provision was introduced, and was found to be incompatible with the then-version of Firefox. So far, this has stopped all crashes.  After three days of normal usage and surfing, there have been no reports, whereas, prior to doing this, I was averaging at least one per hour.
This leads me to believe that the designers of the  latest version of Firefox have either omitted whatever code string was used to fix the problem that occurred last June, or some new, incompatible code has been included.    Either way, I think that this should be looked into by BOTH Adobe and Mozilla as soon as possible--but especially by Mozilla, since Flash Player 11.4.402.265 worked just fine with Firefox 14.0.1.
It should be noted, by the way, that I did a recent check of Firefox's "top crashers" and the empty crash report is by far the most common--over 877,000 at the time I checked.  If I understood the graph, there has been an escallation since the introduction of version 15.0.  How many of them are silent, and therefore, unnoticed by the users, is anyone's guess, but I suspect that I'm not the only user on the planet this is happening to.
In case it's needed, I'm using:
Windows 7, Home Premium Service Pack 1 (Windows Classic user interface)
    Firefox 15.0.1
    Flash Player 11.4.402.265
Hardware Acceleration disabled for both Firefox and Flash Player
Since all of my crash reports, prior to disabling Protected Mode, were useless, I have deleted them.

Message was edited by: Ortho_Fan  ADDED -- 9/15/12 --   I periodically check Windows 7's "Performance Monitor" and noticed today that one of the "silent crashes" was picked up by Windows.  The following details were posted:

This appeared before I disabled Flash Player's Protected Mode, but coincides with one of the empty crashes reported in Firefox.  I know nothing about Windows crashes, where to find the reports, etc.

    Hi schützenkönig:
Many thanks for posting!  As you can see, I made my initial post over a week ago, and since there were no responses, I thought perhaps I was the only one this was happening to!
In any event, disabling Protected Mode is the only way I've found to prevent the crashes from happening.
I posted about this on the mozillazine forum -- http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2551745&sid=7e877237158ffdc560789fb668c 858c0 -- but didn't get very far.  Apparently, Firefox is blaming Adobe and has no plans to do anything about it.  I was given some reassurance, however, by the comment that adblock plus offers protection from harmful flash content.
By the way, I made a follow on post when I downloaded the latest version of Flash Player -- 11.4.402.278  -- http://forums.adobe.com/message/4708561#4708561
Unfortunately, it did nothing to fix the problem.
