4G iPod w/iOS 4.3.3 Now Supports the Bluetooth Hands Free Profile

With iOS 4.3.3, the 4G iPod now supports the Hands Free Profile (HFP) that many BT headset use.

Those crash maybe is about the new iOS4.3.5 , i also meet the same problem just like you
The whole device became very lag , even worse i can't open some app cause crashed.
What i done is connect to iTunes with my iPod gen4 and iOS4.3.5 in Windows 7 ,and restore it .
First you have to enter the "DFU mode" , shut down your iPod 1st and hold the power button and home button and the same time, and then release the power button after 4 second with holding the home button another 10 second , your device may enter the DFU mode
Second , open your iTunes , select "Restore" .
After i restore my iPod then everything is fine again , try on yours =]

Does iOS 5 support the Bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP) for interacting with text messages in Ford Sync?

I'd sure love to take advantage of Ford Sync's ability to read aloud and let me interact with bluetooth text messages by voice. I had heard rumours that iOS 5 was going to support the Bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP) like other phone manufacturers, but in my latest update I received while testing and reading other non-Apple sites, that appears not to be the case.
Is this something I'd have to upgrade to the iPhone 4S to otherwise get?
It's not Siri I'm interested in, just this particular feature to allow the phone to interact with my vehicle. If there's a 3rd party app out there that helps I'm open to that idea too. Thinking about what my next smart phone's going to be with LTE, and this is weighing in on my decision, lots of enterprise users out there with Ford as their company fleet vehicle too (hint hint!). A nice way to save lives too for those who refuse to not read/reply to texts while driving (I'm not in that club, but many are).

For the public record, here's the feedback I submitted based on Allan's suggestion. Thank you both, guess I'll just cross my fingers and hope others share their feedback in a positive way to Apple too.

Humbly requesting this is something that gets added to a future iOS update.
It's not Siri I'm interested in, just this particular feature to allow the phone to interact with my vehicle by using the vehicles embedded voice and heads-up display commands.
Advantages:
(1) Gives one less reason for Apple people to stray to Google
(2) Saves lives too for those who refuse to not read/reply to texts while driving
(3) Keeps drivers behaving legally (outside of common sense, many provinces and states have enacted laws to try and protect people against themselves)
(4) A critical enterprise feature if Apple is attempting to continue to break into that market, most fortune 500 companies that have employees using fleet vehicles use Ford, but frankly other manufacturers coming to market with these features too.

The only thing I didn't do right is that I didn't Erase all content from iPod... I did it from iTunes...

You need to restore your iPod to factory defaults/new iPod. That is the only choise.
Warning: If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and then forget your password, you will not be able to restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable. If you forget the password, you can continue to back up and use the device, however you will not be able to restore the encrypted backup to any device without the password. You do not need to enter the password for your backup each time you back up or sync.
If you cannot remember the password and want to start again, you must perform a full software restore and when iTunes prompts you to select the backup from which to restore, choose set up as a new device.

If you have more than one tab open, you should still see the "x". When you are down to the last tab, you will need to tap the View Open Tabs icon (upper right, looks like two over lapping squares). You also access Private Browsing from there.

Is anyone having problems with connecting to your car's Bluetooth Hands Free System since installing iOS 8.1?

I have an iPhone 4S and I just installed iOS 8.1. Now I am having issues maintaining my connection to my Car's built-in Bluetooth System. I have a 2013 VW Passat with the stock Fender, Audio, NAV & Handsfree System.
I can establish a connection, but lose it almost as fast. I'm wondering if something changed with my iPhone's Bluetooth settings with iOS 8.1. I never had any issues before upgrading.
I'm just wondering if anyone out there is having the same problem that I am having.

There are a number of reports from people with VW vehicles. Try removing the phone from the list in the car. Then, remove the vehicle from the list in the phone. Do a reset on the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone reboots, put the devices into discovery/pairing mode and see if they will connect. Otherwise, you might do a search of the forum looking for issues with VW vehicles.

Not quite the same problem but my speaker dock no longer charges iPad1 and iPhone4 since upgrading to iOS5.1 but was playing and charging only the day before, extremely annoying as I have only had the dock about 3 weeks now.
I haven't tried my iPad3 yet, but will assume that it will do the same

Bluetooth hands-free + stereo receiver for iPods/iPhone

I'm on a quest to find a very particular adapter.
I have iPod integration in my car. Plug in the iPhone and I can play audio from the phone through the headunit to the speakers. Phone call audio does not go through, and it is my understanding that no docking adapters work for phone audio.
I'd prefer to use Bluetooth to play audio and control my iPhone in the car. I've seen adapters that connect to male iPod dock connectors (such as the one in my car) are powered by the connector, and allow pretty much any Bluetooth device to play audio and be controlled via A2DP/AVRCP. However, these Bluetooth adapters do not work with phone audio because they don't have a microphone and don't support that profile. I have seen auxiliary adapters that include a microphone and work fine with phone audio. So what I'm looking for is something that does both of these. It must have a female iPod dock connector to attach to my existing car interface for audio, control, and power. It must have a microphone (either in the unit or attached via cable) and it must support A2DP/AVRCP as well as the handsfree or headset Bluetooth profiles. My searches are coming up empty but I have to believe I'm not the only one looking for this kind of integration. Both types of devices exist and function in similar ways. It MUST exist. And I must have it.
Has anyone seen or heard of such a device? Does anyone need a prototype tester for such a device? I need to know!

having to manually set a alarm for every reminder is a pain in the asset! Its core task is to remind! Also removing the calender on the side is a mistake
as its a very quick way to drop notes for the month, being a sales rep this was the best function on the pad! Brand new iPod touch, only synced once. Now showing the pairing record missing notification. Not recognised by iTunes OR computer. Have tried literally everything including reinstalling iTunes, rebooting, etc. Please help.

As I've said, brand new iPod touch. I only synced it Friday night, put some music on it. This morning tried to connect to iTunes and got a message saying the pairing record was missing? Computer isn't recognising it either, but it charges off the computer just fine. Have tried everything including changing USB port, rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes twice, literally everything I've found on forums. Anyone help me out here? I'm so annoyed I could nearly cry.
