We want your feedback. Which sales option are you using in your project? What were the main decision criteria? Please reply with your input. At least two points will be rewarded

Over 90% of our orders come in via CRM ISA or EDI.
B/c of the reasons mentioned in the article we use R/3 for entry of the remaining orders as well as order management.  Since R/3 was live years before CRM, there are custom exits and fields required that would be an investment to replicate.  Changing the plant on the line item is a common occurance for our business.  Of the CRM scenarios X,Y,Z we use scenario X where once the order is touched in R/3, R/3 becomes the owner of the order.
Our CRM version just upgraded to 5.0 and our R/3 system is now being upgraded to ECC 6.0.  As our do use the IC web client, we are investigating trying to move to the ERP Sales order.  The upgrade architecture will also open scenario A where either CRM or ECC could change an order even though X should still support our requirements.

  • Sales Order no and IDOC No Link table for Sales Out bound IDOC ORDRSP

    Hi Friends
    How to find Sales Order no and IDOC No Link table for Sales Out bound IDOC ORDRSP.
    Thanks in Advance.
    SR

    Hi
    If the idoc is managed by message, the link are stored in GOS (Obeject Service)
    U can try to use the function module NREL_GET_NEIGHBOURHOOD
    If you put
    IS_OBJECT-OBJKEY = <sales document>
    IS_OBJECT-OBJTYPE = <business object> (I think BUS2032)
    the function returns the idoc
    or if you put
    IS_OBJECT-OBJKEY = <idoc number>
    IS_OBJECT-OBJTYPE = <business object> (I think IDOC)
    the function returns the sales order
    You can investigate that function module in order to find out the tables

    is there a way to fix this?
    Thanks

  • Sales Order Unable to Use New Condition Tables for Tax Condition Type

    Dear All,
    I am currently working on SAP R/3 4.0. I have a new requirement for my tax where I need to create new condition tables other than the 4 standard SAP tables which are Customer/Material, Division/Customer, Departure Country/Destination Country, Domestic Taxes and Export Taxes. My new tables consists of Departure Country/Destination Country/Shipping Point/Tax Code. The requirement is that the tax code is based on the chosen destination country and shipping point. The problem I am facing now is that no matter what types of table I create or even I generate with reference to the standard table, the access sequence will only refer to the 4 standard SAP tables above. Even if I put my own table in the highest priority for the access sequence, the same thing happens. My sales order will only pick up date from the standard table.
    I wonder if anyone encountered the same problem as me.
    Kindly advise.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Yvonne

    Hi
    Yvonne
    I suggest fist check a simple thing ,whether u have successfully determined shipping point for each line item ,it is possible that just adding a line item will not trigger shipping point determination . So after u update the shipping point on line level u can rerun pricing and check agian if u r getting it .
    Secondly for tax purposes I suggest   Try to have Customer and material tax classification approach  this allows to u have long term flexibiliy and also reduces your maintenance activity . As if u change or add number of shipping points and business changes using the sequence of shipping point ,the logic of just using shipping point will not work.
    In Tax classification u cna add new condition table for each new tax category and use it in different access sequences.
    This information can be passed on to FI using Different Tax code for Different combination.
    I hope this helps

  • Sales Order in IC Webclient

    Hi members,
    I'm new to CRM so please excuse if my question is stupid. I'm trying to create a new sales order it says "Navigation isn't possible as there is no business transaction". How can i creare a new sales order?i would be very thankful if anyone could help me out of this.
    Thank you,
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,
    You have to assign a transaction type to your Business Transaction Profile.
    Steps are
    1.IMG--> CRM --> Interaction Center WebClient --> Business Transactions --> Define Business Transaction Profiles
    2. IMG-->CRM --> Interaction Center WebClient >Basic Functions> Define Navigation Bar Profiles
    Best would be that you try the Best Practices for webclient(C78). It will surely help
    The link for the same is http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv250/CRM_DE/index.htm
    Hope this would help.

  • How do I get the Sales Orders Statuses? Is there any API for that?

    Hi!
    I'm trying to track all the statuses of a sales order. I want to get the header status, lines status, holds status, shipping status and the invoiced status.
    Does anyone knows if there is an API for that? Or I'll have to make lots of querys for that?
    I found out the following APIs, but it only returned me Y or N:
    -oe_header_status_pub.get_booked_status;
    -oe_header_status_pub.get_cancelled_status;
    -oe_header_status_pub.get_closed_status;
    -oe_holds_pub.check_holds;
    -oe_line_status_pub.get_pick_status;
    -oe_line_status_pub.get_ship_status;
    -oe_line_status_pub.get_invoiced_status;
    Thanks for the help!

    Hi,
    You can find the status of both SO Headers ahd Lines from the FLOW_STATUS_CODE column in oe_order_headers_all and oe_order_lines_all tables.

  • Sales order picked the batch which will expire before the delivery date

    Hello All,
    I have a material MAT1 with Batch BAT1 which has the shelf life expiration date as 18.03.2014. A sales order was created on 16.03.2014 which is supposed to be delivered on 22.03.2013.
    In this case the sales order should'nt have picked the batch BAT1.
    In the material master for MAT1- Min. Rem. Shelf Life 1 Month.
    Please let me know what could be the reason to pick this batch which is not expected...
    Thanks in advance!!

    There are 2 things:
    Check whether you have a characteristics LOBM_RLZ - Remaining Shelf Life for Batch for respective class used for batch. In batch search strategy(VCH1) for the material Remaining Shelf Life for Batch should be greater then equal to 7 days.
    In your movement type used for the GI, check at least SLExpir.date is not equal to 3 - No check at goods issue.
    Thanks, JP

  • Sales Order Error No customer master record exists for sold-to party

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a sales order in IDES. Unfortunately it is showing me error: No Customer master exists for sold to party. Now I have already checked my assignments, combined sales area in vor1 and vor2. Checked PDP ( In PDP I have creates partner functions as z2, z5, z6, z7). I have also checked in XD02 and XD03 and in partner function tab it shows as maintained. Please help as I am still not able to create it.

    Dear Phanikumar,
    I am not sure whether we can create a customer for a future date or not.
    I might sound absurd but suggested this solution because I had faced a similar issue while I was working on a remotly supported IDES server which I was using for practice purpose.
    Now the case was that, I had created some customers few days back, lets say on 01.03.2014 and today the administrator of the server changed the date & time of the system from 11.03.2014 to 11.03.2013 bymistake.
    Hence when i was trying to create orders for a customer created on 01.03.2014 i was not able to do so as the system was throwing an error customer does not exist.
    I am sorry if I have suggested something awkward or wrong, intention was to provide a solution.
    Please correct if I have suggested someting wrong.
    Thanks,
    Kishor

  • Forwarding Agent on Sales Order Coming as Customer ( I want it for Vendor )

    Hello Folks,
    When i select a forwarding agent on the sales order header , i am getting an error "Customer not created " and opens up an F4 help for customers . The thing is my forwarding agents have been created as vendors and I want my vendors to show up in F4 help.
    FYI , in partner determination ,for the partner function FA(forwarding agent ) i have set up the partner type as LI (Vendor ). Even then it doesnt work.
    Please advice what else I should do.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    At what level this is happening in sales order either @ Header or Item level.
    - Re-check in Tx:VOPA - assigned partner determination procedure.
    If you are using ECC 6.0
    then use the partner fuction : CR - Forwarding agent - partner type (LI - as mentioned)
    where as in Sales order, Partner fucntion you have to use it "SP-Forwarding agent"  ( note: SP is not sold to party in SO , for Sold to Party its AG)
    Check both @ Header & item level.

    No status object is available
        for SDI 2258674/0
    If your system throws the above error message, then go to VA02, input the sale order reference and execute.
    From top menu bar, click on Goto -- Header -- Status . There again click on Object status  and check whether any lock is there. If so, change it and then retry

  • Change in Item category in Sales order

    Hi,
    We have one requirement to change the quantity in the Billing document
    our requirement goes like this,
    Order was created with 10 Qty and PGI also done with 10qty, But physically customer receives 9 qty and Billing done with 10qty.
    Now customers will not accept for the Billing and Business has to change the quantity in the Billing without reversig PGI
    As per the legal regulations, we cannot reverse the PGI and change the quantity in Billing
    But as per the standard, we cannot  change the ITEM category in the sales order once the subsequent document is created.
    can you please let me know is there any solution to change the Item category in the sales order using User exit of any other way
    regards,
    santosh

    Since I was handling similar scenarios quite frequently when I was in domain, from my experience, I can share the same.
    It is known to customer also that billing cannot be changed once it is generated.  Hence, the client can request the customer to either deduct the amount to that extent while releasing the payment against that billing document or the client can give one number extra or credit in the subsequent shipment.  Any customer will accept for this.
    Meanwhile, I also dont understand why you want to change the item category after billing and what you would like to achieve over this.  If the above options is not acceptable to client, then the best approach would be generating a credit note straightaway against that billing document and set right the records.
    thanks

  • Sales order - XI

    Hi Guys,
    I am ABAP Consultant, I dont have much idea on XI but now have some part of development.
    My requirement is <b>XI gives the sales order</b> information to <b>SAP system</b>. SAP is responsible for creating the sales order and error handling also. Could you please suggest me, what are the steps i need to follow in order to this task. Important thing daily XI will send 1,20,000 records of sales orders information.
    Please suggest me best way to optimize the solution.
    Thanks in Advance
    //Suresh

    Hi Suresh,
    If I understand your scenario correctly, you do not need to code anything in the receiving SAP. The beauty of using XI to connect with SAP is that everything is config-based.
    SAP has standard approaches to create SO, such as idoc, BAPI, etc. So you do not need abap proxy or custom FM to generate an IDOC or create a SO yourself.
    For example, if you have SO details from an external system in its own format, you can use XI to graphically map the data into an IDOC structure. Then do some config to receive the reformatted data (in IDOC-XML format) through IDOC adapter, SAP system will receive the idoc and process it.
    In order for you to understand the above, it will be helpful to follow the sample scenario (tutorial) provided by SAP with XI install.

  • CIF: how to "push" a Sales Order item from ERP to SCM via FunctionModule ?

    Hello experts,
    we are implementing a process in ERP (ECC6.0) where we change a sales order item (VBAP- VPZUO) in order to stop SNP (LiveCache) performing the "fcst consumption" for this specific sales order since it is a spezial promotion / trade fair order which does not justify to change the fcst consumption for the entire product.
    We are searching for a function module or any ABAP "handle" of telling the CIF in ERP to "push" a specific sales order item thru to SCM again. We started with an artificial batch input in VA02 / VA32 and changed a non-used text field field in the sales order position and the document save was doing it. I wonder if someone run over same topic and found a better way to get this done with a specific function module or setting a specific trigger in some other ways.
    I was not sure if this is the correct forum - in case someone knows a better match on SDN I'm happy to move it over to the right place.
    Regards
    Thomas

    Hello Thomas,
    You can't really push a Sales Order seperately, and not advisable also as you should not tamper with CIF interface. I can give you another approach.
    You have to identify during CIF that the Sales Order is a special Sales Order. Better have a separate Sales order type for such special Sales Orders. That being the case, I think you can handle your issue by changing the ATP category of the Sales Order during CIF. The standard Order category is BM. You could create a custom category in APO, and during the transfer, you could change the Sales order category to this custom category. APOCF010  EXIT_/SAPAPO/SAPLCIF_SLS_001 exit (Inbound Sales Order in APO) should be helpful for this. You would need to change the ATP category field in IT_SL_REQ table.
    You could then display this "additional" Sales Order in a separate KF in SNP (if you need it) by assigning it a custom category group in SNP planning area which would have only this custom category. For normal SNP planning, normal SNP sales order of category BM would be relevant.
    Please be aware that when you try out things like this, you might need to tweak a lot of SAP standard behaviour at many other places. Things like CCR also need to be tweaked, and also whatever further planning you have to do for this particular Sales Order might also need to be tweaked.
    Thanks - Pawan
