I guess the title says it all.
Had my phone replaced yesterday for the 3rd time.. and had my first re-ocurring fault today..
No message alert for incoming text messages.
I said that I wasn't going to install any apps on this one, until I was satisfied, that it was going to be OK, but upon configuring my email yesterday, the phone downloaded and installed Nokia Email..
I know it's not required, as I've just removed it along with client platform, and my emails still work..
So my question at the top, what is client platform ?

I think its one of the setup files for the connection to your Ovi Account through PC or Ovi Suite.

OF COURSE sim cards have CPUs, otherwise how would you run an OS or a java vm on them?

Product type 56A - what do clients use as the underlying

Hi All
I now understand that you associate some borrowing transaction type/product type combination to product type 56A as a facility in the 'Admin' tab.
The question I have is what do clients normally use as the product type/transaction type combination for these facilties? Do they do like a 0% interest 55A/200 or do they set up a fixed interest 55A/200. I mean I am not sure what to advise the client of mine to use. What product type to use, where to give the injterest (in the 56A or the underlying product type)

just to add a few words to what mentioned by Ravi.
Facility or credit line is a kind of guarantee, that you as a borrower will be able to borrow some maximum agreed amount of funds during certain period of time. And, of course, usually you need to pay certain price for that. Pricing itself really depends on competitive environment.
So, overall you have 2 type of expenses:
--- interest expenses on facility/ credit line (Product category 560);
--- interest expenses on real borrowing/ drawing (earlier mentioned instruments fixed-term deposits, interest rate instruments, etc.). Usually, interest rate here depends on number of factors, like credit quality of borrower, benchmark yield curve for specific currency, etc., and is almost >0, cause money has certain price.

I'm not sure if this is the wright form, but here goes. I have a question. What Instance Client verion (10.2.0.2 or 10.2.0.4) do you install with BRTools 7.0 and BRTools 7.1. Can you use either Instance Client version with either versions of BR*Tools?

JDeveloper as Rich Client Platform?

Hello,
is it possible to remove all default extensions in Developer or SQL Developer and only use custom extensions?
This means, is it possible to do something similar to the Eclipse Rich Client Platform? Has someone already tried this ?

You would like to remove all the extensions that make JDev look like a developers's IDE. You would like to keep the plugin infrastructure that allows the development of modules of 'business functionality' (banking, science, media arts etc) as plug-in extensions. The application will not look like an IDE but we would have the flexibility to use JDev features (such as the wizards infrastructure, or the various viewers) in our applications
In other words, we would like the Eclipse RCP functionality and the ADF framework in a nice integrated package. Unfortunately, I don't think that this is going to happen any time soon. Otherwise, Oracle would have already made an attempt to create an ADF plugin for Eclipse...

Client 200 - Development client, where Abappers would do coding / like a sandbox
Client 300 - Customization Client, where do you customization pertaining to client business.
Client 500 - Quality Client - Where you do your testing before Go-live
Client 700 - Production - Where the end users use the SAP system as per real time scenario.

Normally we have 3 clients in our real time scenario.Development,Quality and production client.Each client has different client numbers like 100 ,200, 300. First we develop our applications in development client.We will assign this to a package like ZDE. at this time a request will be assigned .then we will release this from se01 or se10. then we need to import themin quality client. In quality client we have the data which is closed to Production system.Here we will perform all the testing .If any changes we want to do then once again we will do in dev client and transport it to quality.If everything is ok.Then we will transport this to Production client where key users will use our applications.

My application is based on Eclipse Rich Platform Application (RCP), and rcp includes the SWT_AWT bridge,
which allows RCPs to integrate Swing components as:

First, I create a JavaFX project, where a subclass of the Scene creates, let's look at the code:

There are two lines to create the JavaFX scene to be loaded into a JFrame:

The SceneToJComponent class comes from the JFXtras project.
Its loadScene() method loads a JavaFX Scene class and returns a JComponent object,
which can be used as a normal Swing JComponent.

In Rcp application, when try the load the class, this code compiling,
running and trowing exceptionon console I have the following error:

also if this class is present in the classpath of the java project.
Then I've tried to place this code in simple java application (not eclipse rcp) and all went ok.
Has anyone tried to include this code in eclipse rich client platform (rcp)?

I have download Java FX2.0 to emebed a scene in a Swing component inside a view of a rcp application, setting the classpath with jfxrt.jar.
See the following code:

I'm not trying to be funny or mean, but, in my experience, if you don't know what a product/tool/component is, then you should say so. If you give the impression that you do know about a technology in your interview and you are hired based upon that premise, you might find yourself struggling mightily when your employer asks you to 'implement DataGuard by the end of the week'...

Public folder migration difference what Outlook client see

I have successfully migrated public fodders from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. Problem that I`m seeing is what Outlook client see.
I have two types of clients :
Windows XP + Outlook 2007
Windows 7 + Outlook 2013
Outlook 2013 client see Public fodders as expected.
Outlook 2007 client, sees one level lower including ipm_subtree.
Is these normal ?

Please try to use OWA to check whether you can expand the subtree of Public Folder.
If OWA works, how about using Outlook 2007 with Online Mode?

A client is an independent business unit within an R/3 System, Data in the R/3 are classified as cleint-Dependent and client-independent.
Client-independent data such as ABAP Programs, R/3 repository objects throught the entire system.
Other data is client-dependent. meaning, it can be viewed from one client.Cleint-dependent data includes customizing application and user data.
enterprise IMG is cleint independent.

Thanks for the suggestion but the web servers are resilient and are at two different physical locations with two different internet IP addresses, no shared infrastructure. If I use IE to browse to the URL it does the right thing i.e. it attempts the first IP address and if that fails automatically attempts the second.

This question has been haunting me for a long time.
When we say Java is platform independent,what does the term platform
indicate?
I think it is Processor+Operating System.
But people talk only of Operating System as platform.
A processor has its own instruction set that is different from that of other processors.An executable code on one processor doesn't run on another processor,whatever may be the operating system.
Java code is platform independent because it is just compiled to byte code and that byte code is interpreted and run on a JVM.Here the JVM is different for different platforms.
My question is:
consider two platforms:
Intel Pentium+MS Windows.
and AMD Athlon+MS Windows.
Is the same JVM used for both these platforms?or not?WHY?
If only Operating System is Considered as platform,what happens to the underlying processor?

The "Intel / AMD + MS Windows" is two forks of one plateform, the x86 / Windows plateform.
You could extends the x86/Windows JVM to include Intel extras in such a way that it would not run on AMD/Windows.
One way you could define a plateform is as a binary format, processor intuction set and public API.
So java == .class format, bytecode and the java.* packages
and Linux x86 == ELF, x86 and POSIX (plus others, such as X)
and FreeBSD x86 == ELF, x86 and POSIX (plus others, such as X)
and Cygwin == ELF, x86 and POSIX (plus others, such as X)
and Windowsx86 == PE, x86, MFCs
But does that mean Linux, FreeBSD and Cygwin are the same plateform, well kind-of, they are all unix-sqe, and in some cases the binarys are interchangable (a small plug in to FreeBSD will let you run Linux software, the same sort of thing is aviable to Solaris, and some very small (hello world-level) will actually run (I've seen this in the case of a Linux HelloWorld on a BeOS machine).
