5G Wireless Brings Ubiquitous Connectivity: BEEcube's BEE7 and NanoBEE 5G Emulation Systems

By David Squires, Vice President of Business Development, BEEcube, A National Instruments Company
As wireless operators continue their relentless march to be the first to provide consumers with new services and devices, additional bandwidth and service plans that yield higher profits, infrastructure companies are also racing to field the 5G equipment that will form the foundation of the next generation of wireless communications. To enable this 5G wireless infrastructure, BEEcube (recently acquired by National Instruments) leveraged Xilinx FPGAs and Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoCs to provide 5G equipment manufacturers with a new emulation system as well as a mobile-handset emulator. The BEE7 and nanoBEE are enabling design teams to be innovative and productive so they can bring 5G technologies to market ahead of the competition.
BEE7 PLATFORM ARCHITECTURE: The BEE7 platform is a state-of-the-art architecture that BEEcube designed from the ground up to meet the above requirements of next-generation communications systems. The amount of data that must be moved quickly and efficiently is enormous. The heart of the BEE7 prototyping system is the Xilinx XC7VX690T. This device combines 80 serial transceivers with 3,600 DSP slices, making the 690T a world-class engine for advanced wireless applications (both to prototype and for early field trials).

  • Since dowloading Ios7, my ipad cannot connect to 3G and when I have no wireless or 3G connection, it closes down and reboots every 2 minutes or so. This happened in central Manchester and also on the Virgin Train from Man. to London. Totally unusable.

Since downloading IOS 702 I cannot access 3G. Also when I have no access to wireless connection my ipad closes down and reboots every couple of minutes. I was trying to raed a book on a train from Manchester to Euston and had to give up. I found that auto-lock had defaulted to 2 minutes. I changed it to never but it made no difference.

It pains me to hear about your experience with the Home Phone Connect.  This device usually works seamlessly and is a great alternative to a landline phone.  It sounds like we've done our fair share of work on your account here.  I'm going to go ahead and send you a Private Message so that we can access your account and review any open tickets for you.  I look forward to speaking with you.

  • I updated to ios6 with my iPhone 4 and after the update I connected to my Sweex wireless(the first connection after the update) and since then it has some kind of a problem.

The phone cannot connect to App Store , Weather , iTunes(phone) nor some other things for e.g I cannot post photos to Instagram but still can use the app just to look at others pictures except uploading mine..

    restart phone
    reset phone and reset router

  • My wireless network looses connection between airport express and modem.

The indicator under the "Internet" icon in airport utility switches from green to amber every minute or so.  When it is amber I have no, or very slow speed.

Interestingly the Linksys WRT-54G is one of the few non-Apple routers that are WDS-compatible with the earlier 802.11g AirPorts. There are a number of posts on the Internet (use the following search terms: Linksys AirPort WDS) where the authors described how they configured theirs to work.
If; however, you don't want to "experiment," your suggestion to interconnect the two routers by Ethernet should work just fine. In this case, you would want to configure them both for a roaming network.

  • Connection Error between ITS and SAP: R/3 system

    Dear All,
Recently we have migrated our Backend SAP: R/3 Servers to AIX/Oracle platform. The server landscape is running on two application servers and one central instance with load balancing.
We have changed all RFC destinations from the SAP:R/3 and ITS side and tested the connection.
We are not able to login to backend SAP:R/3 server through ITS.
    The following error appears
    "Fatal Error!
The ITS failed to handle this request
The HTMLBusiness interpreter failed to interpret the template.
    The internal error message is:
0x2101: Interpreter: The specified input file does not exist."
What other changes from ITS side we have to look into or check?

    Hi saikat180965,
Might be the problem is being caused by missing templates. Please have a look in the ITS traces to get more information about the missing file.

  • Macbook Pro can't see wireless network or connect to it, but iPhone can!?!?

    ok here"s the deal:
I got my macbook pro in the states through school and it has been working fine ever since. I now just moved back home to Germany and for some odd reason the wireless network at home at my mom's won't appear in my "join network" list.
I have tried diagnostics and advanced stuff, I have even typed in the network name and password into my preferred networks list manually... still nothing. When I connect the computer through an ethernet cable it works just fine. also searched and updated all my updates in case that was maybe the issue...
here's the clue. my sister and her friend both also have macbooks (not pro's though) and both also run leopard and both of their laptops can see and connect to our wireless just fine. ALSO I have an iPhone, I purchased in the states and it can see and connect without any issues as well..
I have called the German Apple support people, but they are absolutely useless and there are exactly 2 (!!!) genius bars here in Germany. one 4h and one 6h from where I live... sighs
this is what I found in my about section, in case anybody knows what this means:
    +AirPort Card Information:+
    +Wireless Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x8C)+
    +Wireless Card Locale: USA+
    +Wireless Card Firmware Version: Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 (5.10.91.21)+
is it because it says "USA" and I am now in Germany? but how stupid would that be? other people that bring their American macs over don't have issues either... right???
    so yeah... HELP??? ANYBODY??? PLEASE???

    Hello,
I had the same problem when I was traveling with my 2009 Macbook Pro. I am on a French ship and my MacBook was bought in the US. We have a wireless gaming network to play Call of Duty on that is set up on a LinkSys router. I was so frustrated because everyone else here could connect and play without a problem. My iPhone would even connect to the network but my MacBook Airport card wouldn't even recognize the network.
It turns out that some countries use different Wifi channels. The Airport card in the US MacBook Pro is setup to only recognize channels 1-11. The European LinkSys router was broadcasting on channel 13 which is why my MacBook couldn't even see it. I changed the wireless channel on the router to 10 and now everything works great. I hope this works for you.
    Cheers
P.S. - The US MBP can only recognize channels 1-11 on a standard 2.4GHz network. To see what channels your Airport Card will recognize, open System Profiler (located in the Utilities folder) and find the "Network" heading in the column on the left. Click "Airport" and it should display all of the supported channels in the info box to the right.

  • I have a wireless home phone connect device. Can call out on it when dial tone present, but most times cannot receive calls since purchase. Anyone else having a  problem with their home connect device?

Have had Wireless Home Phone connect device refreshed and updated three times since I purchased it in September 2014. Last tech I worked with on it initialized an NRB to check the network. I checked the location of the tower, which is less than one mile up the hill with clear line of site. The device always has two antennas on it. The device is great when it does work, but most of the time it rings three times and then jumps to an automated message saying the person I am calling is not available. I've actually gone up there several times to try an fix the device, but always end up calling a Verizon tech who has me unplug it, pull the battery, and they do some network stuff and then we turn it back on and it works. After the last time on 10/02/14, I called it and got the message. I drove up there, 100 miles one way, and called it while standing in the room. Got the same message. I picked up the phone, heard a dial tone and dialed my phone and it range through. I hung that phone connected to the device and call it using my cell phone. It rang through. I went home and tried to call it the next day. Again it did not ring through and I got the message after three rings. I call another phone at the facility and had them call me on my mom's phone and it is fixed it again. The fix last for a day or two and then it's broken again, like it is today. If it's a network problem then it must be fairly close to the area because no matter what we do it fails again. So much for the 99.98% reliable. This thing is a piece of junk!
I purchased this device and put it on my plan so that my mother who we placed in a home at 96 years old would have a phone connection that she could use and wouldn't flip her out. My family and her family has not been able to faithfully connect with her at this critical time in her life. I am giving Verizon 10 more days to figure this out and then I am going to ask for a total refund not to mention how much time and travel I have put into this piece of junk. Either the home connect transceiver is broken or the network is broken. Why should I pay close to $70 for a service that has not worked more than several days out of 35 days? Also I have spent close to three hours on the phone with decent technical people, but it's my time. I should send Verizon a bill for every time I have gone up there to fix this device as well.
What perplexes me is that a regular cell phone would have sufficed, but because Verizon has to have a data connection that is not available on a regular phone and it was going to cost me $30/month, I decided to go with the home connect. Seemed like a nice solution for an older person who would have a hard time using a cell phone and keeping it charged. Plus after all the fees for getting it connected, it only cost $20/month. That would be a pretty good thing, IF IT WORKED....... The other thing that irks me is, why do I have to pay for a data connection when the cell phone Verizon originally provided can't even access the network. What ever happened to adding a phone line for $10 bucks\ month? All I wanted was a simple phone. She would not be able to use anything more complex and all she needs is a phone line period.
I have no problem paying for something that works and does what it should, but this is ridiculousness. The MTF on this device is somewhere around 1 to 2 days. Out of 365 days that's about a 96.5% failure rate....... Want my advice? Get ride of this device. It sucks and it's bad marketing.

    Hi
I am experiencing wireless connection problem on 4s after ios 8.1 upgrade. The wireless icon appears showing that it's connected but webpages do not load. I have checked my internet connection with other devices and seems to be alright. what to do?
I have tried reseting the network settings and forgetting my wireless connection and re-connecting to it. I even backed up my phone on itunes and restored it, factory reseted it. Nothing seems to work.
Also after my upgrade to ios 8.1 my personal hotspot option under cellular data has disappeared.
Would you please help me out? I would really appreciate it.

    Hi..
Restart your router then restart the iPhone to test.

  • Linksys Wireless N Router w/ Belkin Wireless G Adapter Connection?

I recently bought a Linksys wireless n router to better serve my two new laptops with wireless n cards. They are now lightning fast and super reliable. However, my desktop, which has a Belkin wireless g card connects about a third as fast and last only about 5-10 minutes before needing to be reconnected, which can cometimes take a while itself. I changed the channel to 11 which helped a little and am running the router on 20 MHz only.
My previous router was a Belkin wireless G.
I'm looking for answers/explanations and possible solutions to speeding up my desktop's speed and increasing its reliability w/o jeopardizing my laptops' supreme performance.
    Thanks for your help,

How to restart base station from airport utility? I used to be able to do it remotely
I currently use a Mac Pro 10.8.4 and have a time machine for wireless 6.3 (630.34). Sometimes I cannot connect to the internet and use network preferences to diagnose the issue. This results in being told to restart the wireless. The airport utility includes the drop down option of restarting but is not clickable so I can't choose it.
With my prior macbook and same time capsule, etc  if i had problems connecting to the internet I would run network diagnostics to help out. This included clicking on the airport utility ---> base station --> restart. This worked most of the time.
Bottom line, is there something I am missing in not being able to restart the wi-fi remotely? ]
    Thanks in advance

You are likely forgetting a step.
    Open AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon
Click Edit in the small window that appears
Now click the Base Station menu.....top of the screen....not the Base Station "tab" in the center of the screen
    Click Restart

  • Hi there can anyone help. I am connected to the internet by ethernet but my connection keeps timing out and my network diagnostics shows all green and network connection ok but still no internet connection. the other wireless laptop in my flat works well.

Hi there can anyone help. I am connected to the Internet by Ethernet but my connection keeps timing out and my network diagnostics shows all green and network connection ok but still no Internet connection. the other wireless laptop in my flat works well. Could the other wireless laptops being used in my flat be affecting my connection. what can I do to get connected, keep connected. Thanks for any ideas out there.

My network connected for a few hours then went back to timing out. I have not changed anything. However there four additional laptop users in my family who do not seem to be having any problems using their wireless connection. Could their film and music downloads be causing the timing out of my connection and if so is there a way I could prioritizes my computer or limit their use?

  • Linksys wireless slows gigabit-connected Mac

I have a gigabit-ethernet LAN connecting from my PowerMac running OSX 10.4.11 to a Dell XPS, a Mac 7600, and HP Laserjet 4200 printer. My cable modem connects to my PowerMac via built-in GBEthernet. IPNetRouter is normally my software router/firewall that connects to the rest of the LAN through a second GBEthernet card in the PowerMac. This wired LAN is very quick. Its only shortcoming is that the Internet connection to the PC and Mac7600 drops out several times a day and I have to disconnect the power on the modem to reset the network. I can live with that.
My problem today is that a new PC Laptop that is 802.11n wireless ready has been added to the mix. I'm a GBEthernet jock who knows virtually nothing about wireless communications. We're now using a Linksys 2.4Ghz wireless router that is 802.11g to connect to the PC laptop. To accomplish this, we have made the Linksys the router/firewall. The cable modem now connects directly to the Linksys WAN port. The Linksys also has four 10/100 Ethernet ports. One of these ports is connected to a GB Ethernet port on an 8 port Netgear GBEthernet switch that connects to the rest of the LAN. All cables are Monster cables Cat 6. My PowerMac, which previously was the gateway/firewall machine, is now connected via its built-in GBEthernet port directly to the Netgear LAN switch. The PowerMac's second Ethernet card and software router are turned off and disconnected from the network.
This works fine. The Dell XPS ethernet connection is fast enough, but not as fast as when it was getting its signals via GB Ethernet. What does NOT work fine is my PowerMac's Internet connection. It is as slow as a telephone connection or worse. I was hoping for Ethernet 10/100 speed, but I'm not getting it.
Now for the questions: If I replace the Linksys with an Airport Extreme base station (that has a GB Ethernet WAN port and internal switch instead of the LInksys' 10/100 WAN port and internal switch) is my Internet performance on the PowerMac likely to improve? Does anyone know why I'm getting such slow Internet access with the current configuration? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Can you access the Internet if you connect your Mac, via an ethernet cable, to one of your Linksys router's LAN ports instead of wireless? Be sure to turn off the Airport card on your Mac and setup your Built-in Ethernet.
You access your network settings as follows: System Preferences > Network > Show > Network Status > Built-in Ethernet > Configure > TCP/IP
If your router is providing DHCP service (default), then the following values (or close approximate) should display on the TCP/IP tab:
    Configure IPv4: Using DHCP
    IP Address: 192.168.1.n
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Router: 192.168.1.1
If the IP address reads something like 169.n.n.n, then your Mac is not getting the DHCP private addresses. If this is the case, try clicking on "Renew DHCP Lease" to see if your Mac get assigned a proper address.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless A909g Loses Connectivity

[posted on behalf of another user]
Problem with HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless A909g
New printer will not stay connected to the wireless network. The printer continuously drops the network connection.
For 15-20 minutes at a time, it will go off-line, then come back on for ~5 mins.  If you power off the printer it will re-connect.  Energy Saving feature has been disabled.
When the printer is off-line, I cannot ping it nor reach it by http interface.
The router is a Belkin-N+ router, WPA-PSK security.
The printer is at address 192.168.2.4 and is static in both the Router and the printer.
The SSID is broadcast and the channel being used is 7, wireless mode is b,g and N
The printer says it has a connection strength of 5, and always shows itself connected.
The printer does not reconnect, unless you power cycle it.
If the printer is pingable then everything works fine, when it is not nothing works.  The fact that it works when it is on-line makes me believe everything with the network connection is fine, other than the possibility that there is a signal problem.  But since other devices with b cards, connect to the router with no problem, and the printer reports a strong connection I do not believe this is the problem.
I currently have a script running that pings the server every minute and it still disconnects.

Unfortunately, you are not alone.  Search the forums for this problem and you will find several threads.  Based on being involved with several of those here is what I recommend:
    1. Connect with Ethernet cable if you can.  Your problems will likely disappear.
    2. If not, try changing the wireless channel to 1 or 11.
    3. Try changing your group key renewal time (WPA key) to the maximum allowable by the router.
    4. You can try this firmware update, but it does not list this as a fault it corrects.
Let's try those and go from there...

  • Can't establish wireless connection between the printer and computer.

I recently upgraded my wireless to an Apple AirPort Time Capsule. I'm able to set up the printer via USB cable. And I'm able to set up the printer on the network via the Airport WPA utility. However I cannot establish a wireless connection between the computer and the printer. When I go to the printers window  in my system prefereces, there is no wireless printer available to add in the "available printers" menu. Only the USB version printer is listed and of course when I disconnect the USB cable it shows as offline.I've tried all the fixes on HP's support pages. I've tried reinstalling the printer on both the router and the computer numerous times. The only thing I haven't done is reinstall the printer using the "Install Wizard" software that is supposed to come with the printer - (mine never came with it in the first place and of course HP doesn't have it available for download). And when I reset the printer to factory settings, then connect it to the computer via the USB, there is no installation software that pops up. Cant even find the **bleep** thing in "Finder". (I'm assuming that it should show up as some sort of external device.) I've checked to make sure both computer and printer are on the same network. (sometimes my computer will grab a connection with the next nearest network.) I've checked all the settings for the printer via the HTML configuration utility. I've even updated my Macbook software and restarted it multiple times. Note: the printer actually worked for a bit when I first switched routers, but the printer's wireless function went offline several times and then quit  altogether. Really frustrated that I bought another HP product thinking this time things would be different. HP is no help unless you want to pay $$ for a phone call. I'm about ready to take this thing out in the desert to use for target practice and never buy another HP product ever again.

Hi , I saw your post regarding the problems you are having with your LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer not showing on your Macintosh computer. I may have found some resources for you.
I have a few questions for you, so I can offer some additional assistance:Before you upgraded to the Apple AirPort Time Capsule, was the printer working wirelessly without any issues?
When you say; 'I reset the printer to factory settings', how where you trying to do this?
I found some instructions from this post: How do I reset my Laserjet p1102w to its defaults, copied here for you:
To restore the printer back to factory settings, turn the printer off, hold down the wireless button and the cancel button (x button) then turn the printer back on and don't release the two buttons until the printer stops making noise. (When they say turn the printer off, I think they mean unplug the power cable.)
"I've checked to make sure both computer and printer are on the same network."  Do you know if you are able to access the printers Embedded Web Server (EWS)?To access the EWS - Make sure that the Ready light () is on and that the printer is idle and silent.Press and hold the Cancel button (), and release it when the Ready light () begins blinking. The configuration page prints.Type the IP address or host name of the product in the address field of a supported Web browser, and then press Enter on your keyboardLet me know if this page loads
To answer a few more items you have listed:... When I go to the printers window in my system preferences, there is no wireless printer available to add in the "available printers" menu. This could be an issue with your print system, I recommend resetting the printing system and then Repair Disk Permissions - after that try to add the printer again.
... the "Install Wizard" software that is supposed to come with the printer - (mine never came with it in the first place and of course HP doesn't have it available for download)HP provides their software/drivers to Apple to be released through your Apple software updates. You can review this document on how to Install a Mac Printer Driver Using Apple Software Update. Which leads into your next point...
... there is no installation software that pops upWhen you connect the USB cable your mac may still recognize the printer software as being already installed - check for apple updatesOn the Mac, click the Apple menu (), and then click Software Update, or click About this Mac, and then click Software Update. A list of available updates displays.
... Not seeing the printer in "Finder" From what I understand most printers will not show in Finder unless you install a memory card into a supported port on certain printer models, only then will it read it like an external device. A few more things you can check are that the new settings in the Apple AirPort Time Capsule are setup to allow the printer to communicate. There are several of these settings listed in this document; Tips and Workarounds for Common Wireless Network Printer Issues.  HP regularly releases firmware updates that may also correct the problem you are experiencing. You can click on this link to Getting Printer Updates for HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer.  I did find 2 more documents that may offer some additional information as well;HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer - Connecting the Printer After Changing Your Wireless NetworkAn 'Unable to Find Printer' Error Displays for the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer  Please let me know if any of these steps resolved your issue, or the details of what happened.  I look forward to hearing from you, hopefully with good news!   Thanks,
