64 bit Vista-should I return new computer since I can't use Z22 or E2?

I've read enough to realize there is no compatibility with the new 64 bit systems; I'm no geek (don't even know what 64 bit means) but I know I need my Palm info; I didn't want to go with Vista but didn't have a choice that I'm aware of; just purchased an HP Touchscreen and tried to hotsync and I guess you guys know the rest; is there another OS out there that I can transfer my Palm OS to and just buy a new device?  If not, what am I to do if I need a new computer?  Please help, as I'm scared and confused and tired.  Thanks in advance, as always!

64-bit Windows lets you use more memory in your computer (more than 4GB). Vista-64 also has some additional security features. Microsoft has laid out the differences here:

If you can easily exchange for a computer with 32-bit Vista, that probably will help with other compatiblity issues as well. If not, I think I have read here that you can sync using Bluetooth instead of a USB cable. Do you know whether your new HP has Bluetooth?
