7.1 bug sending sequences with DL AE comps in
I'm seeing this quite regularly but not consistently:
I have a number of sequences in PPro that have short dynamic linked AE comps (name titles). Most of the time it's fine but many times I get an error message in AME that the sequence contains offline material (it doesn't) and that the render will be done with the offline graphic.
Win 8.1 - latest vers of Adobe apps.
Anyone else seen this?
How to solve render after always show "Media Pending" screen. When Adobe Premiere Pro CC updated to 7.1:
If you have this issue, follow these instructions:

Sending Mail with attachment and preserving the order of attachment
Hi Everyone!!!!!!
My requirement is to send Email with attachment in the same order as they were attached by Sender while composing the mail. I want to preserve order of attachment in the mail and when receiver open a mail, the attached files should be reflected in same order as it was on sender side. In my application,the documents being upload are already in my database. So, user just requires to mark the corresponding check box and enter the Sequence number for each attachment. When he clicks on "SEND" button, the Source file is first written from database to OS level and then files are attached from source available on OS . The attached file name could be anything. Based on the Sequence number file should be attached and send. My current code works fine,but problem it is that the Sequence number is not preserved in my attachment . However, when I traced the output of FOR Loop by inserting it in a table " temp_trace" I found that the Sequence is preserved in the order that I want. So, I think that uploaded files are written on the Operating system in same order but they are not attached in same order. Below is the sample code that is I am using to attach file in email. Here, the user_sequence is the sequence number entered by user.
for i in (select case when user_sequence is not null
then trim(to_char(user_sequence ,'09'))||'_'||file_name||'.pdf'
else ||'_'||file_name||'.pdf' end file_name ,
file_src,length(file_src) len,cd.doc_id,PRIORITY from
MIM_CLIENT_DOCS CD,(select DOC_ID ,user_sequence from table P_DOC_AND_user_sequence ) TEMP_TAB
WHERE CD.DOC_ID = TEMP_TAB.DOC_ID order by case when user_sequence is null then 1 else 0 end, file_name)
loop
insert into temp_trace values(i.file_name);
L_OUT := UTL_FILE.FOPEN(v_oracle_dir,i.file_name,'wb',32760);
end loop;
I want my output as
1_first attachment.txt
2_second_attachment.docx
3_abc.sql
_xxx.txt ------------------ When sequence is not assigned by user That is null at last.
Unfortunately, I am not getting attachment in mail in this sequence. Can anyone give me suggestion.

Sending mail with attachment fails on MAC Mail and WRP400.
Sending mail with attachment fails on MAC Mail and WRP400.
We have hundreds of WRP400 connected with Mac (Machintosh) computers. No special configurations are applied (no virtual server or DMZ). Web navigation, P2P programs and sending mail without attachment work right.
The problem is the impossibility to send mails with medium or big size files attachment from MAC Mail.
If we use Windows PCs or a different linksys routers (eg. WRT54G) the problem not happens.
We have upgraded WRP400 firmware version from 1.00.06 to 2.00.05 but the result is the same. Sending mail with attachment using Mac fails.
We tried to configure WRP400 with DMZ to a particular MAC. We tried to configure Virtual server on tcp 25 port of a MAC. The result is always the same.
This is a WRP400 bug? Windows PCs work right. MAC and MAC mail works right with other linksys router.
We need help. Thanks.The problem was fixed since beta firmware 2.00.11.
I think that this issue was caused from a bug that decrease upload bitrate of WRP400 after some days of activity.
See more details on Cisco forum under title "WRP400 stops responding after browsing certain websites".

Sending mail with PDF file attachment ?
Hi All,
I have scenario File ---> Mail, monitoring FTP directory for PDF file and sending using mail attachment.
At the moment i am using JAVA mapping to construct the mail package structure follow all the step in this blog : XI Mail Adapter: An approach for sending emails with attachment with help of Java mapping
it is working if i am using text file but then how to encode the pdf content so i can send throught the mail adapter. ?
Thank you and Best Regards
FernandHi,
Actually, i am using this java code below :
try {
// create XML structure of mail package
String output = "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>"
+ "<ns:Mail xmlns:ns=\"http://sap.com/xi/XI/Mail/30\">"
+ "<Subject>" + mailSubject + "</Subject>"
+ "<From>" + mailSender + "</From>"
+ "<To>" + mailReceiver + "</To>"
+ "<Content_Type>multipart/mixed; boundary=\"" + boundary + "\"</Content_Type>"
+ "<Content>";
out.write(output.getBytes());
// create the declaration of the MIME parts
//First part
output = "--" + boundary + CRLF
+ "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8" + CRLF
//+ "Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit" + CRLF
+ "Content-Disposition: inline" + CRLF + CRLF
+ mailContent + CRLF
//Second part
+ "--" + boundary + CRLF
+ "Content-Type: Application/pdf; name=" + attachmentName + CRLF
//+ "Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64" + CRLF
+ "Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=" + attachmentName + CRLF + CRLF;
out.write(output.getBytes());
//Source is taken as attachment
copySource(in, out);
out.write("</Content></ns:Mail>".getBytes());
} catch (IOException e) {
throw new StreamTransformationException(e.getMessage());
protected static void copySource(InputStream in, OutputStream out)
throws IOException {
byte[] bbuf = new byte[in.available()];
int bblen = in.read(bbuf);
if (!(bblen < 0)) {
//String sbuf = new String(bbuf);
//String encoded = Base64.encode(sbuf);
// replace all control characters with escape sequences
//sbuf = sbuf.replaceAll("&", "&");
//sbuf = sbuf.replaceAll("\"", """);
//sbuf = sbuf.replaceAll("'", "'");
//sbuf = sbuf.replaceAll("<", "<");
//sbuf = sbuf.replaceAll(">", ">");
out.write(bbuf);
This code working fine with text file but not for pdf file. because i got error in mail adapter :
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: com.sap.aii.messaging.util.XMLScanException: java.lang.NullPointerException; nested exception caused by: com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.NestedSAXParserException: Fatal Error: com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: Unsupported character: 8f(:main:, row:11, col:4)(:main:, row=11, col=4) -> com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: Unsupported character: 8f(:main:, row:11, col:4)
I guest the problem because the mail adapter doen't accept pdf content insite the mail package.
please advise me

BPEL 10.1.2 & 10.1.3 bug: sending email witch attachments
We would like to get the following (known)bug fixed or learn of a workaround:
Metalink # 5445787:
When BPEL sends emails with attachments which are opened by Outlook clients,
the email body content will also be recongnised as attachment. The end-user
will then receive an e-mail with 2 attachments and empty body text.Hi,
The bug is being worked on by development. The best thing to do is to log a SR with Oracle Support and say you also need a fix for this bug. The amount of customers waiting for a specific bug fix has sometimes an effect on the priority it is given.

Same Sequence# with different applied value in v$archived_log
Hi everyone,
I have an issue with one of the dataguard servers here.
Basically, looking at the v$managed_standby, it is still applying the latest archived log sequence.
However when I checked for unapplied archived log from v$archived_log, I found at least 1 sequence# which was quite old (around a few days old) not applied.
my query to check this is:
SELECT sequence# from v$archived_log where applied = 'NO';result:
SEQUENCE#
40154
40546with a different query I found an interesting result
select sequence#, recid, stamp, status, applied from v$archived_log where sequence# in (40154, 40546);result:
SEQUENCE# RECID STAMP S APP
40154 8093 777156019 D NO
40154 8095 777156053 D YES
40546 8486 777673729 D NO
40546 8487 777673734 D YESAt the time I ran this query, the v$managed_standby are as follow:
select process, status, sequence# from v$managed_standby;result:
PROCESS STATUS SEQUENCE#
ARCH CLOSING 40562
ARCH CLOSING 40557
MRP0 APPLYING_LOG 40563
RFS IDLE 0
RFS IDLE 40563A simple solution to get those un-applied archived log to be applied is to restart the standby database instance.
Another finding from the production database:
select recid, stamp, sequence#, creator, registrar, standby_dest from v$archived_log where sequence# in (40154, 40546);result:
RECID STAMP SEQUENCE# CREATOR REGISTR STA

How many remote/standby destinations you have in your DR setup?
Might this query you have executed in primary, You should always use DEST_ID when executing from primary (or) do check in standby database, Because the applied column you have to check in standby , If you see above the same sequence showing applied in one destination & not applied on other instance, so please do select for dest_2 or in standby.I have only 1 standby destination.
The query above was executed in the standby database server as well as to show that the same sequence# has different result in the applied column.

Can this be prevented?What is your Online redo log file size (or) how much average archive log file size?
This issue happens when Network glitch while transferring archives from primary to standby RFS , So when is big enough in such conditions it will be in status can be WAIT_FOR_LOG.
BTW, which redo transport you are using? -- recommended to use LGWR
Is there any network problem?
check for exact problem either from primary alert log file or from below query,
SQL> select severity,error_code,message,to_char(timestamp,'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') from v$dataguard_status;
SQL> select sequence#, to_char(completion_time,'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') from v$archived_log where sequence# in (40154, 40546);
HTH.The redolog file size is 100MB and so does the archive log file size.
I'm using LGWR ASYNC
these are the result of the query which I modified slightly:
query:
select severity,error_code,message,to_char(timestamp,'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') from v$dataguard_status where message like '%40154%' or message like '%40546%';result:
SEVERITY ERROR_CODE MESSAGE TIMESTAMP

It appeared to me that sequence 40546 has been sent twice, by LNS and ARC1.
query:
select sequence#, registrar, creator, standby_dest, dest_id, to_char(completion_time,'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') completion_time from v$archived_log where sequence# in (40154, 40546);result:

Why does the primary database has to send twice?

Cannot create sequence with nocache
hi there,
actual I try Raptor build 919 and I have a problem with creating sequences with NOCACHE using the wizzard.
When I want to create a sequence with NOCACHE, the DDL shown in the wizzard is: CREATE SEQUENCE SEQUENCE1 INCREMENT BY 1 START WITH 1 MAXVALUE 10 MINVALUE 1 ;
So the sequence is created with CACHE and cache size 20. After creating it is possible to switch the sequence to NOCACHE.I just checked in our bug database and this was fixed in our development version 1060 so it will be fixed in our next Early Adopter release (post v919).

When you run the transaction "MD11" to create a planned order for the item the scheduling of the operations is correct
as regard the standard sequence,the system, correctly, schedules the operations overlapping
them according to lead time set in the operation details.
But the last operation of the parallel sequence is scheduled to finish the whole lot before the operation
following the "return operation" . The system doesn't overlap this operation. In this way the
last item of the last operation (in the parallel sequence) isn't finished at the same time
with the last item of the "return operation" (in the standard sequence) as we like it would be.
We have set "Backwards scheduling" type on customizing and we use the "Alignment key= 2 "
for standard sequence and in the parallel as well. We have also tryed to set "Alignment key= 1"
in the parallel sequence but the results are howewer not correct.
In conclusion the schedulation of continuous flow production operations
doesn't work properly between operations belonging to parallel sequences.
Could you suggest me what to do?
Thank you.Hi,
I tried with 5 ops 10, 20, 30 ,40,50 ( same work center wc1)
Set up time 1, Process time 1min for 1 pc
set the continuous flow prodn i at op 20 with min send ahead qty 1
Also a parallel seq was created with 3 ops op20 ,30 , 40 .
set up time was 2 min for all work centers( same work center wc2) and proc time
time is 1 min for 1 pc
In that set the continuous flow prodn at op 20 with min send ahead qty 1
sceduling type was forward
.Alignment key was 2 for both std seq and parallel seq .
After scheduling found that op 20 in std seq starts at 6.14am and op 40 ends
at 6.47 am where as in parallel seq op 20 starts at 6.11 am and op 40 ends at
at 6.47 am which is correct.( branch op is 20 and return op is 40)
The three minutes late start in op 20 of std seq is due to 3 minutes extra time
defined for three work centers setup time.
I also tried with alignment key 1in both std seq and parellel seq.
Kindly check that you have maintained the continous flow prodn radio button
in the same operation in both std seq and parallel seq.

Trouble sending attachments with Mail 7.0
I just upgraded to Mavericks and I just started using Mail 7.0 to manage my email (switching from Outlook 2011 for Mac). I'm using an early 2008 Mac Pro. I'm having trouble sending emails with attachments through Mail 7.0. Any attachment regardless of file type or size doesn't go through on the first try. I compose my email, hit send and then after sitting in the outbox for a minute or two I get this error message...
I then click on "Try With Selected Server" and sometimes it will send after that and sometimes it won't. File size doesn't seem to matter. I switch back to Outlook and all attachments send just fine. Outlook has its own bugs (that's why I'm trying to switch to Mail) so I'm trying to make Mail my email app.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need any more info. NOTE: I'm not an IT person so please try to dumb down your answers to a first grade level.I am also having the exact same issue only with exchange emails that have attachments... funny thing is the problem only persistis on my MacBook not on my Imac. Both running Mavericks, set up identically and both totally up to date. I will on occacsion get the can't send mail error on the imac but after I click try again it goes through... on the MacBook I'm not so lucky and end up having to email people dropbox links to every darn file I want to send from my laptop. Talk about a pain in the butt. Apple please address and fix.
btw the unchecking auto discovery trick didn't make any difference for me
thanks for bringin this up

11gr2 bug on Linux with standby database
It looks like there is an oracle 11gr2 bug on linux with standby database. The following shows while activating standby database on Solairs, the standby database on Solaris will clear the standby logfile and recreate it. But, on Linux plateform it generated an exception instead. I don't beleive there is a bug open in metalink yet for this problem.

ArpitHi Arpit,
Take a look at the documentation of FM 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1' for parameter PACKING_LIST. I think you should set t_packing_list-head_num to a different value than 0 for the second attachment.

Cannot send email with new iPad air. Works fine with old iPad and iPhone. I have deleted account and reinstalled.
Thanks. I got the problem fixed. Spent time with the Apple folks and was kicked up to a senior advisor. It seems the problem was with my internet provider - Tmie Warner. Remember I could use the old ipad and the iphone to send mail. I checked all the specifics between the three units. It seems that TW is changing over from the RR.com to TWC.com. How do I use my iPhone's hot spot to send email with Mail ?
Hi,
My land line is dead ... so no phone nor internet at home. But I can use my iPhone'hot spot to get on the web from my iMac. Great ... it works !
Oups ! I cannot send email from my computer using my iPhone's hot spot with Mail.
How do I do that ?
Regards.
Robert LespéranceHi Templeton Peck,
Thanks for droping in my thread ...
Doesn't the fact that I can surf the web with my iPhone's hot spot and that I cannot use Mail normally has I normally do give you a clue what the problem could be ?
What other information can I give you other than normally I can surf and send email with my regular ISP. Now that my ISP is dead I am using my iPhone's hotspot to surf the web awaiting that my ISP's connoection returns. Surfing is OK but I cannot send emails with through Mail.
When I want to send an email from my computer, I get a message asking me to select the the SMTP server. Then I select my usual ISP server, but the message comes back telling me it does not work.
Is there any other configuration to do ? -
Hi, I am wondering why my iphone won't send pictures through messages, I have MMS on and I have tried sending it with 3G on aswell and still doesn't work. Someone please help me :)
Hey lozza567,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues sending MMS messages. The following resource may provide a solution:
iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2755
Issues with sending and receiving MMS
You will need these to send and receive MMS:
- An iPhone 3G or later.
- iOS 3.1 or later.
- A cellular data connection. MMS isn't available if you are using only Wi-Fi.
- A domestic MMS plan from your cellular provider. You may need an international messaging plan to send MMS to an international contact. Contact your carrier for more information.
- A roaming MMS when using a cellular provider's network different from your billing cellular provider's network. Learn more about roaming and contact your carrier for more information.
To resolve issues with sending and receiving MMS, follow these steps first
1. Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
2. Go to Settings > Messages and turn MMS Messaging on.
3. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data on.
4. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Data Roaming on if you are roaming on a cellular provider network different from your billing provider's network.
5. Verify that you have a cellular data connection in the status bar at the top left of your iPhone.
6. Go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi off. Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify that you have a data connection. Turn Wi-Fi back on to continue using Wi-Fi for other features. If your cellular data connection isn't available, follow these steps.
7. Verify that you can send and receive SMS. If you are unable to send and receive SMS, see the "Issues with sending and receiving SMS" section, above.
8. MMS may not be available while on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports.
9. Restart your iPhone.
10. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
11. Reseat your SIM card.
If you are still unable to send or receive MMS, follow these steps
1. Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
2. Go to Settings > Messages and turn on group messaging if you are sending a group message.
3. Make sure that you are using the area code with the contact's phone number. When sending messages internationally, you also need the contact's international code.
4. Verify a "Pay as you go" MMS plan has enough available balance. Contact your carrier if unsure of your MMS plan or available balance.
5. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
6. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact from the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
7. Back up and restore your iPhone as new.
8. If your carrier has recently ported your phone number, the porting process may not be complete. Contact your carrier to confirm that the porting process is complete.
9. Contact your carrier to verify that you are provisioned to send SMS and are in an area with cellular coverage.
10. Contact your carrier to verify that there are no blocks or filters placed on your wireless account preventing you from sending SMS.
11. Your carrier may require APN settings to be modified to use MMS. Learn more about when you should adjust APN settings.
Thanks,
Matt M.

Contradiction: SEQUENCE and AUTO_INCREMENT
Most recommendations tell: You have to use SEQUENCE instead of an auto_increment column. In contradiction to this I found the following AUTO INCREMENT feature in Oracle® Database Lite SQL Reference 10g (10.2.0): 4.3.18 CREATE TABLE auto increment
