7520 EWS NOT DISPLAYING ON MULTIPLE BROWSERS

We're trying to configure a static IP for our brand new 7520, to resolve firewall issues. We've carefully followed instructions, and the EWS will not display for our current printer IP. I see other people are experiencing the exact same difficulty. We get nothing but a blank EWS page on both Firefox and IE for Windows XP and our Verizon hotspot wireless router.
Come on, HP.

ALSO... although the printer is printing, it raises a printer error dialog before it prints. If you wait a few moments, the document will print. Nonetheless, you can hardly have faith in its software if it's producing spurious and annoying error messages at every turn.

  • Navigation & Photo Page not displaying within some browsers

    Hello,
    I am using iWeb '08 and am having great difficulties trying to get my site cross browser compatible. The site is working perfectly on the Mac in Firefox 2 & Safari but not Firefox 3. It is also not displaying correctly in Firefox 2.0.0.13 and IE7 on my WinXP machine. Unfortunately the error is not just a cosmetic issue. The Main Navigation is not displaying on any page and only shows a bullet point where it is meant to be. The other error occurs in the Photo Template and the photos are not displaying. I am using a "Version 1 template" and did a test with a "version 2" template that provided the same errors.
    Has anyone else had these problems???

    You have applied a height of "auto"to your menubar container, which gives it no height at all in some browsers. If you have a clue what height you would like to display for your menubar, give it, instead of:
        <div style="height: auto;" id="p7PMM_1" class="p7PMMh04">
    Better yet, leave it in the CSS file, where you will find it when you go looking for it. You already assign a height there:
    .p7PMMh04 {
        width: auto;
        height: 20px;
        margin: 0 auto;
        font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
        font-size: 11px;
        font-weight: bold;
        background-image: url(http://home.roadrunner.com/~jgigandet/trinity/img/new_bk.gif);
        background-repeat: repeat-x;
        background-color: #000;
        text-align: left;
        line-height: normal;
    Because your inline style of height:auto; has more proximity (is closer) to the element being styled, it overrides the style in the stylesheet and applies the height: auto; instead of allowing the height: 20px;

  • Bold text does not display in internet browsers

    I am working on editing a website for a client that I did not originally create so I am having trouble trying to figure out what the previous designer did.
    I need to make certain text within paragraphs bold, which I normally do by inserting <b> </b> tags. However when I do this in my coding, it does not display as bold in any of my internet browsers ... IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc.
    Can someone please help me with this or suggest what I may have to change in my coding?
    Thanks,

    The reason it is happening is because the <strong> element is the child of an <em>, the <em> is in turn the child of a <p> tag and all of them are set to inherit the font attributes from thier parent tags. The first parent in the chain with a font setting is the <div> tag with the "left_column" class.
    The "left_column" class tells all of those child tags to set their text as 14px, black, Arial due to the font:inherit.
    The reset is meant to allow you to create css styles for all future tags without any default style being applied by the browser (as Rik suggests, creating the actual " strong {font-weight:bold;}" in your css would also do the trick). Since you don't specify any attributes for those tags other than "inherit your font styling from your parent", they take their attributes from the first parent element with an attribute.

  • WVC80N Video Stream not displaying on iOS6 browsers

    I updated an iPhone and iPad to iOS6 yesterday.  Now my Linksys WVC80N video streams will not display on both Safari and Chrome browsers.   On Safari if I go to the Camera "Home" page then use the browser Back button to the View Video page then I can get a still from the camera.  Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

    I just checked the release note of this firmware 1.0.01. Perhaps, you can try another browser for isolation before updating the router. That might be a browser problem (maybe not supported yet).

    Have been trying to start chat sessions throughout the week with no luck. It's been during chat hours, and have tried multiple browsers.

  • Some images not displaying in some browsers

    Hi,
    I'm creating a newsletter in Dreamweaver using the design view.
    The finished thing works perfectly in Internet Explorer but when I view it in Firefox or Safari certain images are not displaying. There's no red cross or sign at all of why they're missing. They do however show as attachments at the bottom of the email.
    The code appears to be fine and all the images were uploaded in the same way, so can't think why some won't appear while others will. The only thing the missing images have in common is that they're all left aligned so the text wraps around them.
    I've been trying to fix this for ages and tearing my hair out. Any help greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks.

    Um, I can't seem to find it on the server, which can't be a good sign ) - :
    Have no idea why it's not appearing where it should but if I can get a link to work I'll send it to you.

  • Characters not displaying in some browsers

    This is another Unicode issue, but as far as I can tell I have all of the correct file transfer settings.
    In MS Internet Explorer 6 and also Firefox 3.6.3 (both Windows versions running on Win XP) some unicode characters fail to display. The math 'times' symbol fails on both. The Greek lower case letter phi fails on Explorer but is okay on Firefox. Both browsers correctly recognize that the text encoding is utf8.
    Everything displays just fine on the Mac version in both Firefox and Safari. So, I assume the files reached Server okay and that the server is working fine.
    If I was using any other web publishing software I could use html escape characters × and Greek letters, but there appears to be no way of doing this on iWeb. As a temporary fix I will change the times symbol to the letter 'x' but I'm not sure what I can do about the phi and any other odd characters that may crop up in the future.
    Any suggestions?

    It's possible your problem could caused by lack of proper fonts on the machines you are testing, especially if Firefox 3 does not show ×. In that case using html escapes would not help. You could test this by creating a test page with the escapes and seeing if they work.
    Could you provide the url of the page where this is happening so I can see what is going on?

  • .Mac Web'08 site not displaying correctly in browsers

    Just published by first iWeb'08 designed web site.
    http://web.mac.com/chasandstephen
    Have tested it in Safari 3, Firefox 2, Internet Explorer 7 all on both a Mac and a PC.
    What a *&%$#@ shambles.
    After spending 4 weeks leaning iWeb'08 and designing this site, with the great help from all you guys:
    http://forums.mactalk.com.au/showthread.php?t=41976
    http://forums.mactalk.com.au/showthread.php?t=42801
    The main problem seems to be text boxes not lining up correctly. Check out the "Links" and "Site Map" pages for the worst offenders. Also the text size has all so mysteriously changed on the Links page.
    Any suggestions guys to what has gone badly wrong here?
    Our families are hanging out for this.

    yippee We have got it working. All the pages now display correctly, except in our windows based Firefox 2 and even then it is only the Welcome page that is the problem. All the text has shrunk and moved over to the far left and all the text on all the pages is slightly fuzzy. All other browsers on Mac and PC work OK.
    The main problem was that the "Links" and "Site Map" pages were just one great big text box. After placing each section of text in a text box and aligning it all up, this did the trick. It also now loads faster. It seems by doing it this way iWeb'08 CSS is constrained far tighter.
    I suppose what I have learnt from all this is that iWeb'08 is more akin to a Desktop Publishing program as opposed to a Word Processing program. I also have learnt to published first to a local folder and view it locally this way errors can be picked up and corrected quicker and easier.

  • HTML entity codes in XML do not display in IE browsers

    I have an XML file generated via PHP/MySQL that contains HTML entities like " &sup2; ". I'm using DW CS3 to create a Spry (1.6.1) dataset from the XML file and filling a Spry table.
    If I open the table page in any IE browser (6, 7 or 8) the table is filled and displays OK but these characters are just missing, however, I can open this same page with the same Spry dataset in Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome, etc. and all characters are displayed correctly, it's just IE that refuses to play.
    I've tried changing DTDs and UTF8 page encoding, nothing seems to make a difference.
    Any suggestions greatly appreciated  [ I can feel wrist slitting time approaching ... ]

    Hi Phil, it works!
    Many thanks for your suggestions, they certainly helped solve the problem. I had previously tried wrapping in CDATA but I just got the entity codes displayed as text and sort of gave up looking there.
    The solution is to use CDATA to wrap the relevant content AND to format the column type to "html" with set "ColumnType".
    I also found that Entity declarations can be removed from the XML, so I shouldn't have to worry about any entity codes I might encounter in source data.
    The site I'm working on will eventually be multilingual with supplied database content, so I can't control the source data and all site features must work equally well in all languages.
    I've updated the sample file with some Russian source data and set both character columns to "html", it works just fine! It shouldn't matter which method gets used to insert any special characters.

    many thanks for all responses, much appreciated!

  • HTLM not loading in multiple browsers

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to view an animation of a student of mine and it is not loading in Firefox (32), Chrome (37) or IE (11). It plays fine in Animate CC 2004. It's not doing anything too sophisticated - just a series of pngs. The student has claimed it works on Firefox - an earlier version.
    Any thoughts on why it it is not working or what I could do to troubleshoot this? The student has claimed it works on Firefox (earlier version).
    Thanks.
    Dean

    Press F12 in Chrome and hover over the HTML-tag. (Elements pane)
    My instinct tells me it's the buggy behaviour of the mp3-files.
    The height of the HTML has nothing to do with audio. Or does it?
    I personally would not waste any time on searching what is conflicting between these 2.
    I would test it with other mp3's first. Starting with 1 and on every browser.
    Good luck.
    Kind regards,
    Lester.

  • Issues with having pages display correctley. It does this in multiple browsers, Chrome, IE, and FF. Some pages display correctley.

    I have been having trouble viewing pages in multiple browsers since last night. It has done this with me before. I am using an Acer Aspire and also Firefox version 23. I've tried looking online and following suggestions such as clearing the cache, retarting in safe mode, etc. Nothing seems to work. It's only on certain pages. For example- Facebook works and displays fine. It's when I go to websites like Amazon, Wix, Ebay, and others that I get the issue. The pages are displaying with a white background and just text/links and basic images. I've checked the page style and it is on Basic Page Style. Here is what I have:

    Hi
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
    Best way to reach Apple is to send a Bug Report via the Safari Menu>Report Bugs to Apple. While Apple doesn't respond directly to these notes, the information gets in the hands of Software Engineers at Cupertino.
    Specific to the referenced site, there are multiple code errors, which would contribute to the rendering problem. Safari is a lot more specific about following correct code than other browsers. I suggest passing the Validation report on to the site developers. Good code practices (W3) makes for better uniformity and security on the Internet.

  • Newly created images will not display in Firefox 8 for Mac. Same images appear in other browsers. Why?

    1. Specific new images are uploaded but will not display in Firefox 8 on my Mac with OS 10.6.8. (Does appear in other browsers, e.g., Chrome and Opera, and appears on Firefox 8 for PC.) Also, other images on the page display.
    2. I have cleared cache, cookies, etc., in Recent History, and restarted both application and computer.
    3. I've tried creating GIF, JPG and PNG, but none show on the page in Firefox on my Mac. I can see the offending image in other browsers such as Chrome on the same computer, and on Firefox on PC. You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
    *Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
    *Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
    *Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
    *Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
    *Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
    *If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

  • Many pages not displayed correctly in non-IE browsers

    Some pages, especially those part of the PDK, are not displayed in non-IE browsers. An example is:

    Viewing the source shows a very badly formatted IMG SRC tag (alt="Oracle9iAS Portal Developer Kit"). Removing this tag fixes the pages.
    Could you please adjust these pages ASAP so they are again also viewable according to the Rehabilitation Act?

    There is enhancement filed about this issue that you are experiencing. Also, there are a new set of PL/SQL API documentation that is automatically generated and we are checking to see if those have the same issue.
