7D Viewfinder info missing

I have just had the Canon 7D Mode dial mod. carried out by Canon Australia. Firmware was updated to v2.05 for some reason.
Now the viewfinder information (Shutter speed, focus confirmation, ISO etc) will not display.
Canon tech support say camera must be returned for evaluation - will be without it again!
Any ideas if something must be reset or if it is a hard fault?

Take it back to Canon Service.

Song and Artist Info missing under itunes but not in the original file, and putting track number next to certian songs. Help

i recently updated my itunes...today i opened it up and moticed abuout 100 songs missing...they are now at the bottom of itunes song list with a number next to them with information mission such as this the example below
01 human                                                                 (this song should have the killers name as artist and cd title, etc)
01 hosanna     hillsong united                                 (this song should have the cd title to it)
02 lay me down                                          burning light
02 leave out all the rest
02 let it be                       the beatles
03 papercut
when i go under the original folders and files in the itunes folder everything is normal no missing info, etc. but under itunes orgnising its picking and choosing the same songs and putting the track number next to it and others songs in the same cd not. plus info missing. under the infor when i click right button all info missing there...but not under original file.
please help

It could be that you have inadvertently imported these CDs into iTunes as part of a compilation. If so, the artists won't show in the artists menu on the iPod.
To check, highlight the tracks on one of the offending artists CDs in iTunes, right click and select "get info". This brings up a multiple song info window, and from there you can check if you have 'yes' in the box marked "part of a compilation".
If you have, select 'no' instead and click 'ok'. Do this with any CD that has this issue. This will alter the info in iTunes, and you should then connect your iPod and synchronize the changes.
The problem arises because the information contained on the Gracenote CD Data Base (where iTunes gets all it's album/artist/track info from), is sometimes incorrect. It can show CDs as compilations when in fact they are not.

Just to mention again Patch 12 is completely missing from this location.

This problem showed up last year spent 2 months with apple senior supervisor for tech support no solution. When the "new" itunes came out problem fixed its self. Just did an update last week or so and back to the problem. In "get info" missing all rt side

Last year upon an update some of my itunes media was not working. Then the new version came out and it fixed itself.
Well another update and we start over with the problem. In the itunes store you can not preview any tv show, music video, or movie.
In your itunes library none of the purchased movies, tv shows, or music videos play. The element the same is in the get info tab. The information in the right side pane in the middle is gone. The left side information is still present. The right side info is the purchase info. Even an item downloaded today had the missing info and will not play. After dealing with apple support with the first go around last year. I uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 8 or more times, in the proper order. I deleted my itunes library and reinstalled it. We deleted all types of program files and program data. nothing worked. I was trying things on my own and foung nothing. Please help I am so frustrated with this. It seems to be a codec error that I can not solve.

Can I start new hard drive set up again?/time machine info missing!

Hi, hoping for some guidance as I think I've made a mistake with my new hard drive set up, and now my time machine hasn't transferred everything over as I've folders missing!
My hard drive packed up & a new 10.6 was installed on my Macbook Pro. Previously running on 10.5.8 which was backed up to time machine 3 week ago. I switched on and went through the 'set up assistant' but when asked 'Would you like to inherit (or reuse) the backup?' I think I chose 'Don't backup now' because I thought I could do my time machine later! I now know I have chosen the hard route!!
Then I tried the 'migrate assistant' - it took 1.5hrs - desktop has screen shots etc as before but I couldn't access thing like 'my pictures' in bridge etc. The dock has LR, PS, Bridge etc as before too. Then I deleted the new admin set up (so I had only my old admin.) I restarted - no change. I then tried 'migration assistant' again but transfered only 'Other files and folders' because when all ticked there wasn't enough room (-81gb)
Now I can go into LR catalog it only has 2 folders (instead of more than 20), and in Bridge I have files & folders, but on accessing them I get 'Items could not be found. It may of been moved or renamed.'
I've looked into erase & install - but I don't have the disc. Maybe I should go back to the shop who installed 10.6? Can I start again so I can transfer from time machine in the set up?
Any advise on how I can get my info back would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same problem, but it is happening with various USB drives including an iphone. If I have any of these connected via a USB hub to the MacBook Pro, they mount and operate fine until I attempt to copy large files to them. Randomly, during large file transfer, the drive will suddenly disappear and I'll get the same error as if I had yanked out the USB cable without unmounting it.
This is happening with:
* A standard (Lacie) powered 500GB USB drive mounted normally.
* A standard (Lacie) powered 500GB USB drive being used as a Time Machine disk (it errors/unmounts during Time Machine backups).
* An iphone 8GB during itunes syncs, only when copying large files (like videos).
I have tried two USB hubs, one powered and one not, and both cause the same problems. If I connect any of these drives/iphone directly to the Mac then they work absolutely fine.
I first thought the (unpowered) USB hub was to blame, but when I started using the powered USB hub and saw the same problems I'm starting to wonder if OS X has a bug with regards to heavy I/O to USB devices connected through hubs...?
Davros: my tip would be to connect the drive directly to the computer (not via USB hub) and see if the problem goes away.

Quicktime file info missing in Finder column view???

In the Finder column view my PowerMac G4 running OS X 10.3.9 shows all QuickTime audio and video file info along with the playable thumbnail video or music bar, including duration/running time and (for movies) dimension/aspect ratio in pixels.
However, on my much newer iBook G4 from 2 years ago running OS X 10.4.10, those two helpful stats are missing. From what I've been told this helpful file date and aspect ratio data is indeed possible with 10.4 Tiger as it is in Panther but I can't see how to show them via either View preferences, QuickTime prefs, Apple's document files or even these message boards. If anyone could please help me I'd really appreciate it, thanks!!!

No, I am running Quicktime 7.2 on both computers. I always install the latest updates when Software Update informs me of one and Quicktime doesn't use different versions for Panther & Tiger as far as I know.
This has been this way for a long time and the only difference at any time in the past has been 10.3.x vs 10.4.x. I sort of accepted it was something not available in Tiger's Finder column view (since I don't remember doing anything specific in Panther to show that extra info) but then after someone pointed out to me that that should be something one can adjust (and after using common sense) I realized Tiger wouldn't disable or take away info provided in the earlier versions, in a sense downgrading something users may rely on.
I don't think I asked: are you (or anyone reading this) showing the duration and dimensions of Quicktime audio and movie files in Finder column view under Tiger? ...or under Panther? Again, I'm referring to those that can be played directly in the preview in column view. Thanks.

Why is product info missing on startup?

I have a Presario CQ61 and it has windows home 7 when I turn on my laptop I get an error message saying my product info isnt valid or missing such as the name, configuration, serial number, and number. How do I restore this info upon startup?

HP mini model differences? Basic buyer info missing -- please help

Ok, so I want a gray or black model in the UK, and it's narrowed down on the HP website to:
HP Mini 210-4160ea PC (B1E15EA) 320 pounds
HP Mini 210-4120ea PC (A9E61EA) 270 pounds
HP Mini 210-4120sa PC (A7R29EA) 249 pounds
Problem is the technical specifications for them are identical. What is the difference? Searching the internets leads to lots of different contradicting information about missing bluetooth / microphone jacks / integrated wifi...
Seriously, not putting this basic info is ridiculous. Shame on you HP!

Garnishment Vendor Advice Info Missing

Friends,
We have setup third party remittance for Garnishments and on Vendor check/Advice(F110) we are missing the employee information.
what we can see now is only "0003100070001510692340000689399900403" and "HRGRNX00031069".
Now in this "99900403" is employee code.
Instead of all this big information we need Employee Name / Garnishment Case Number on the Advice.
Configuration done :
a) T5UGI - Garnishment assigned to Letter Type 08/09 with UFG1.
b) Employee in P0194 has "Information on advice of vendor check" as Answer Letter Indicator.
Would appreciate the Help, let me know what i am missing.

Assign forms to letter types (T5UGI) Type 08.
FI side:-
Copy of the FI advice form F110_US_AVIS to print the garnishment information. And Change section 625-HR of the form to add the text lines REGUD-TEXT1 through REGUD-TEXT9

Upgrade MS Outlook, all info missing

Help!!! Upgrade my Microsoft Office Outlook recently and all my meetings and appointments missing for Outlook calendar. Even if I add new appointment it still won't show in my outlook calendar.. Wonder where i did wrong..

Do you mean you are using Office 365?
Assuming you are experiencing the issue on Outlook client with an Exchange account. This looks like a view related issue in Outlook. You might need to run
outlook.exe /cleanviews to fix your view and try again.
If you have ever installed any add-ins, you might also need to load Outlook in safe mode, this will disable all the add-ins and macros, use the default form: Press Win + R and type "outlook.exe /safe" in the blank box, then press
Enter. If Outlook works well in safe mode, then issue might be caused by some add-ins.

SSL on v.36.0.1 Padlock and Identity Info Missing

Firefox 36.0.1 (sporadically) displays exclamation HTTPS/SSL indicator and is missing ownership information.
I’ve found that using back and forward will cause the correct HTTPS/SSL indicator and data to display
First two images are while on this very system entering support questions.
Second two are after using back and forward on this system

That shouldn't happen with this website.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance

TS3274 Favorites and contact info missing

I noticed my texts coming thru with phone numbers and not contact names. Then I checked on contacts and several contacts are missing from my phone completely. Any ideas on how I can restore them?

Try plugging your iPad into your computer and opening iTunes. Select your iPad underdevices on the left side of the screen and right click. You should be given an option torestore from a backup.
If this option is not available to you, you can go through the Summary tab of your iPad on the right side of the screen and if you scroll down under iCloud you should get an option to restore from a previous backup, where you select the most recent backup to put on your iPad.

Device info missing from My Account App?

Did Comcast for some reason remove your devices info from the My Account menu on X1? You use to be able to bring up the My Account App and you could see info about all your devices.

Please can you try the following:
1) Go to Help & Settings, Settings, TV Settings and Scan for Channels. (This will take 3 or 4 minutes and should only be done when there are no recordings in progress.)
2) Press TV Guide and then press the Red button (This takes around a minute and rebuilds the Multicast EPG)

Finder Window Info missing

the information on the bottom of the Finder window is not being shown in 10.7 I always had the available disk space showing. Anyone know how to get this back?

From the menu bar: View -> Show Status Bar.
