8500A Plus - iPad (iOS 4.2.1) cannot find the printer
Have had a 8500A plus for a couple of weeks. All works well.
Downloaded 4.2.1 onto iPad this morning (23 Nov) expecting to be able to print directly to the printer. However the iPad cannot "see" the printer. Any ideas?
There are no "Product updates" available for the printer (I checked on the printer itself). I take that to be similar to a firmware update? I had read somewhere else that the 8500A may have a compatibility problem that prevents it connecting to iPads and needs a firmware update. If so, is one out or is it still to come?
I am in New Zealand (if that makes any difference).

The problem is with facebook, go to settings / facebook / your user name and delete your account, the do a hard reset (home+power for some seconds).
dont need to delete the facebook app! just delete your integrate account from settings

HELP! iPad vs. Epson 1945W: Cannot "find" the projector in iProject app! Now what?
Greetings and blessings, everyone!
The Epson Corporation was so kind to donate a brand-new $1600 Powerlite 1945W to me. I like it because it can sync wirelessly to your iPad, meaning you can walk around the classroom without fiddling with VGA cables and iPad adapters.
Although I am still new at this, I'm not a bonehead. I've read the manuals carefully and installed the iProjection app, but still no luck getting my iPad and projector to "find" each other!
Good Lord, I am so embarrassed! How do I contact Epson Tech Support without sounding like an ingrate? Or should I uninstall and re-install the iProjection app? Or should I just give up and keep using the VGA connection, which works just fine? HELP!The app developer pulled the app due to some bugs. A new version will be in the store once Apple approves it.

Try turning the printer off at the wall and wait a minute and turn it back on and hten see if your phone finds it.

Should I be able to use a Lexmark Pro 205 wireless 3 in 1 printer with iPad 1? Here is the list of AirPrint printers, and you particular printer is not on it. So that means you will need to use the Lexmark app, and print through your computer.
There is a Lexmark guy that hangs around these forums who may chime in with a response as well.

Why can I print from my iPhone and not my iPad? I have been able to do it in the past. I have tried a hard reset but it still cannot find the printer.
In addition to rebooting the router and the iPad, I would reset the printer as well. Unplug the printer from power and do the same with the router. Leave the router unplugged for about 30 seconds. Plug the router in first and let it totally start up, plug the printer in again, and then reboot/reset the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't work, you can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. Your WiFi passwords, location services, device preferences all have to be re-entered. You will not lose any data or media whatsoever. -

I want to use a printer (HP Officejet 5600 series) in a Windows network. My MacBook is connected to this network by AirPort to a Netgear router. Unfortunately my MacBook cannot find the printer.
Can anybody help?Is the printer connected to a P, or directly to the router? Connected via USB or parallel port? If connected to the router, I assume the router has built in print server?
My HP is connected to an Apple Extreme via USB which built in print server. In the Mac, I went to System Preferences, then Print and Fax. When I clicked on the little "+" button on the bottom left (to add a printer), Bonjour was able to find the printer off the Extreme server.
But, I am currently having problems with it - used to work, now quit printing! -
Laptop cannot find wireless printer HP 2540
Trying to connect my Acer laptops to HP Deskjet 2540 All-in-one printer. Printer is connected to wireless network.
My laptops cannot find the printer. I have tried everything suggested, apart from disabling my firewall which I am reluctant to do as I do not want to have my laptop so vulnerable.
Did not have any problem connecting a Windows 7 laptop to former printer, which was a Lexmark wireless model.
One laptop is using Windows 7, the other Windows 8.1, but both have the same problem.

I understand that you are no longer able to get connected to your HP Deskjet 2540 All-in-One Printer on your wireless network. I suggest that you follow the steps in this document for Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection. I suggest that if your computers are not seeing the printer, that you power cycle your network first as this may resolve your issue.
How to power cycle network
Follow these steps to reset your HP printer, your wireless router, and your computer.
1.Press the Power button on the HP printer to turn it off.
2.Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the HP printer.
3.Disconnect the power cord from the wireless router.
4.Turn off the computer.
5.Wait 30 seconds.
6.Reconnect the power cord to the wireless router.
7.Wait 30 seconds, or until the router is fully on and ready.
8.Turn the computer back on.
9.Wait for the computer to reload.
10.Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the HP printer.
11.Turn the printer back on.

I downloaded upd-pcl6-x64-6.0.0 18849 for my LJ2605dn and it installed OK but cannot find my printer
My LJ2605dn would not duplex so I updated to the universal print driver 6.0.0. My HP H5Z15AA PC now cannot find the printer. If I select the LJ2605dn pcl6 icon in device manager, it will find the printer and print but only in black and white

Right click the PCL 6 printer icon and select Printer Properties.
From the Device Settings tab change the Mode from Automatic to Color and confirm the changes.
Can you see any differerent while orinting now?

You have an 8500a and are trying to scan using the HP Printer Control app on an iPad. Everything is up-to-date and has been power cycled (turned off and on), but the iPad still cannot find the 8500a to scan with using the HP Printer Control app. Is that correct?

I cannot find the AirPlay icon for the life of me. I have iOS 7.0.2 on my iPad Mini. Connected to my WiFi network just fine. I swipe up to get to the control center badges and all I see is the AirDrop icon. Trying to disable mirroring on ipad for Netflix streaming and don't know what to do. Any luck out there?
If you last used an Apple TV to mirror your device and have updated to the newest Apple TV software, go into settings and turn airplay back on. The icon should then appear on your iPad mini when you swipe up allowing you to disable it for Netflix. After updating my Apple TV software for some reason it turned airplay off.
