{871E20E9-938D-4AAE-9CB3-A1C579E94F77} not found by installer after build.

The installation I create fails when you try to install it on a machine. You get the following error from the setup program:
.\Distribution.cpp(237): IInstallerError 10002
Fatal Error. Object not found.
class CPart object lookup by ProductCode failed to find object {871E20E9-938D-4AAE-9CB3-A1C579E94F77}
The Installer work last week. I've got a build that installs the older VI, but I need to dsitrubute the one with the fixes. Anybody know what
causes this and how to fix it.

If I understand correctly, the builds are successful for your executable and the installer, but when you try to run the installer on the target computer, you got this error?
I've never seen the particular CPP error you were seeing (Distribution.cpp on line 237).  Do you have options for reporting this to NI?  If so, you should.  This will send a log file to us for investigation.
Maybe there was some corruption in your installer files.  Have you tried rebuilding the executable and installer and trying again?
Are you including any additional installers like DAQmx or VISA?
Are you using any or of our toolkits like the Control Design Toolkit?

  • "Application Not Found" CS4 installation error

    Problem: "Application Not Found" CS4 installation error
    Some Adobe Creative Suite CS4 Production Premium distribution disks issue an "Application not found" error while loading Disk 2 due to an error in the Autorun.inf file.
    Does your Autorun.inf for Disk 2, 3, or 4 contain
    [autorun]
    open=Autoplay.exe -auto
    icon=\csppdvd.ico
    Autorun.inf should instead only say
    [autorun]
    icon=\csppdvd.ico
    There should not be the line
    open=Autoplay.exe auto
    Only Disk 1 should have this line.
    On Disk 1, Adobe has a file called Autoplay.exe which starts the installation.
    "open=Autoplay.exe auto" runs the Autoplay application.
    Autoplay.exe is not on Disk 2, 3, or 4 so having the open line generates the error.
    Since you cannot edit the DVD, the trick is to turn off autorun so Windows doesn't run Autorun.inf upon loading Disk 2. Look at the Wikipedia description of "Autorun" for details. Wikipedia describes how to disable Autorun using
    Start -> Run -> gpedit.msc
    You will need to do this for XP. Vista has a Control Panel which allows you to "Take no action" for "Software and games". If this does not work, use gpedit.msc instead. You will know Autorun is off if upon inserting Disk 1, no installation window appears.
    Wikipedia notes that "AutoPlay is the name of a different feature in Microsoft Windows" not to be confused with Autorun starting the Autorun.inf file.
    Now that Autorun is off, manually double click Autoplay.exe on Disk 1 to start the installation. Disk 2 should now load properly.
    By the way, it appears you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. Some Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Production Premium distribution disks had the same problem. Obviously, Adobe did not learn from their past mistake.
    You may want to call Adobe to obtain replacement disks which don't have this error.

    Petrula,
    Can you look at the DVDs and send me the numbers you find on the inner edge? Also, any numbers on the outer DVD sleeves. This can help us to identify which sets of media are affected and possibly resolve it, or at least more specifically target solution information.
    Thank you!

  • Problem  : applet not found for installation

    After downloading cap file i try to create applet instance and select it.My script file that i send to apdutool look like this
    powerup;
    //then select the installer applet using this command
    0x00 0xa4 0x04 0x00 0x09 0xa0 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x62 0x03 0x01 0x08 0x01 0x7f;
    //then create wallet instance as
    0x80 0xb8 0x00 0x00 0x0b 0x09 [here wallet applet AID]
    //then select the wallet applet
    0x00 0xa4 0x04 0x00 lc [here wallet applet aid that i specify while converting to cap file]
    powerdown;
    when i send this script file to jcre then for select installer applet sw1 sw2 is 9000 but for second apdu command means creation applet returns apdu response that is 6443 means applet not found for installation and similarly third apdu command responses is not proper
    i don't know where is problem bcoz the script file that i create from scriptgen tool by giving cap file as input runs properly by jcre but when after appending my own apdu commands e.g. create applet,debit or credit then apdu responses r not valid.................plz help me that why all this happened
    thanks

    To use the JCRE you are running the reference implementation. That tool needs you to download the CAP file and the CAP components. That's provided in the results from the scriptgen tool.

  • File not found during installation (WinXP)

    Well, I downloaded Oracle 11g for Windows (32 bit) from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/index.html, and, basically, after having had some trouble configuring a new database, I selected the option to (simply) install a database through the wizard. I breezed through the settings, and, ran the installation wizard, however, some files seem not to be available within \win32_11gR2_database_1of2\database, or perhaps my laptop (Amilo Pro 8210) is too slow to be able to read these files.
    The errors show up during Setting up Oracle Database 11g 11.2.0.10. The errors showing up within the UI are as follows:
    File not found F:\app\Jon\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\bin\db2gc
    File not found F:\app\Jon\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\oc4j\OC4J_DBConsole\config\system-application.xml
    File not found F:\app\Jon\product\11.2.0\db_home_1\oc4j\j2ee\OC4j_DBConsole\config\system-jazn-data.xml
    NOTE: It is quite painful that there is no functionality to enable me to upload attachments (e.g. screenshots and log files) because it is very time consuming to copy everything manually, and, it is human nature to get bored typing after a while, so please, Oracle, pimp this profile :~) I did not take exhaustive screenshots, the error log files shows quite a few exceptions as well:

    The forums are a volunteer organization - people take time out from their personal and professional lives to help others. Some folks, thankfully a very small minority, use the forums as a free personal support/helpdesk tool to read all the documentation on their behalf and look up or solve things on their behalf. The forums work best when there is real dialogue and exchange of information, rather than monosyllabic answers and mudslinging.

  • Third party EXS-instruments not found in LP9 after downloading.

    Hi.
    I have downloaded some EXS-instruments that i found online for free. I stored them along with the original EXS-instruments that came with LP9. When i try to load them in LP I get a pop-up saying the instrument was not found. I have refreshed the library, restarted the mac without result. Why is this?
    Thx, Elias

    Read the Logic Studio Instruments manual available in the Help menu.
    Specificially, the section on loading instruments.  It spells out the storage locations.  There's a main LIbrary on the Mac HD, and a user Library.
    The factory instruments are in the main Library (similar to the path above but starting with the Mac HD vs user).
    User instruments go into the user Library.

  • After Yosemite install Symantec AV LiveUpdate won't run citing Java RTE not found error even after install of Java 8 Update 25

    I just installed Yosemite.  When I attempted to run Symantec Anti-Virus LiveUpdate (which worked fine under Mavericks) I got an error message stating "LiveUpdate was cancelled because Java Runtime was not found. Please run LiveUpdate once Java has been installed. For your convenience we will try to install Java using Apple Software Update."  Accordingly, I went to the Java website, downloaded and installed Java 8 Update 25.  However, I keep getting the same error message when I attempt to run LiveUpdate.  What must I do to get this AV software to work with Yosemite?

    Get rid of Symantec. You don't need it, or Java for that matter, which comprises a potential vulnerability of its own. Get rid of it too.

  • [SOLVED] 'sh: nano: command not found' on installation in arch-chroot

    Hello,
    I'm trying to install Arch Linux on a new laptop with a UEFI motherboard, however while following the beginners' guide on the step which requires you to arch-chroot into the /mnt base system to modify the locale.gen file using nano, I receive the following error:
    'sh: nano: command not found'
    I have mounted the partitions, installed the base system and have tried searching online for a solution but nothing seems to work. Also, nano works while outside of arch-root so I believe it is installed on my system.
    I'm almost completely out of ideas on how to fix this, so any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
    - Thanks.

    I had the same problem during my first attempts to install Arch. When you use the command as stated:
    # pacstrap -i /mnt base base-devel
    it seems not all packages were downloaded/installed. Now I know it was my own fault by not selecting the packages properly.
    In the beginnersguide right above the pacstrap command is stated:
    The -i switch can be omitted if you wish to install every package from the base and base-devel groups without prompting.
    So I did, and installed without a problem

    Hello
    Hmmm... there must be something wrong with recovery disc. What to do now?
    You can try to contact your local dealer and see if they can help. Other way, contact nearest Toshiba authorized service provider. If they can confirm that recovery media is not OK they can order new one for you. For free I think.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

     Hi Shada this can happen if you are including additional installers to your installer for example DAQmx. When you are doing this the installer has to include other files like MAX (Measuremente and Automation Explorer). Probably when you installed Vision Builder it updated MAX, so when your installer is trying to Include MAX, its asking for the source where it was installed in your computer in this case Vision Builder.
     Here you can cache the information so its not asked again, or you can download a newer version fo DAQmx, so it will update MAX and change de dependecy.

    Hello Vivek,
    You can download the requested files from Cisco.com > Support > All Downloads > Products > Security > Identity Management > Cisco Secure Access Control Server Solution Engine > Cisco Secure Access Control Server Solution Engine 4.2 > Secure Access Control Server (ACS) Solution Engine-4.2.0.124
    ACS 4.2.0.124 latest patch right now is Patch 17. Also, there is version 4.2.1.15 available for both the ACS SE and Remote Agent (For Windows Authentication). If you are going to patch your ACS SE it would be recommended to either upgrade to the latest patch (17) or to 4.2.1.15.
    Patches are cummulative as well so applying patch 10 will include Patch 9 fixes as well. You would be looking for:
    1) applAcs_4.2.0.124.10.zip
    2) applAcs_4.2.0.124.10-CSUpdate.zip
    3) Acs-4.2.0.124.10-RA.zip
    You need to apply applAcs_4.2.0.124.10-CSUpdate.zip first and then applAcs_4.2.0.124.10.zip on the ACS SE. On the Remote Agent you will install Acs-4.2.0.124.10-RA.zip.
    Both the applAcs_4.2.0.124.10.zip and Acs-4.2.0.124.10-RA.zip have a link to the file release notes which include the patch installation instructions.

    So - what should I do? Installer cann't find file - but it should be there - because the copy-files section of installation wizard was successful... So - if I restart the installation - I cann't see what can be different??? It seems to me that I cann't do nothing now? Is there any solution for this?
    Well - I have remained some 6% of setting up and full configuration wizard... How can I complete this??

    I have found thread:
    http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=2118383#2118383
    which is exactly for me - so - can one make some preconfiguration steps? It seems strange, that one should check file by file the installation already prepared and tested by Oracle? I am not sure is this the right practice in production environment... well - and I am not sure if it works at all - it can take much time without result...

  • Reference Masters not found any more after upgrading to 3.1

    Hi,
    anybody else having this annoying problem which I thought was fixed in version 3.0.3 ?
    I upgrade to 3.1 and now have the problem that Aperture does not find reference masters despite the volume (AFP mounted volume on a QNAP NAS) is active.
    Of course this can be fixed by reconnecting the masters manually, but it is a pain. Also it seems that 3.1 is now loosing the link to referenced master randomly or at least in a pattern which I don't get. For instance, in one project I have some pictures with a broken link to referenced masters, where as other pictures in the same project are just ok.
    This is a mess and I'm now seriously considering evaluating t Lightroom, given that this fundamental functionality (access data which is in network storage) is not working in a reliable way. The use case to have masters on networked mass storage should not be too uncommon, especially if you look at the new Macbook Airs.

    I have the same problem.
    After completing installation 1 to 10 on the upgrade, aperture was just hanging for a long time. I had to force quit it.
    Then when opening Aperture it came up with the error "WARNING: There was an error opening the database for the library "~Pictures/Aperture Library.aplibrary"
    I had to rebuild my database by doing what Mark Taber suggested which worked ok.
    All my photos were referenced.
    Problem is now my referenced files cannot be found when clicking on "show in finder". The error comes up "The file (null) could not be found. It may have been moved, renamed, or deleted. Would you like to locate it?"
    When locating it it only does one photo at a time.
    Any solutions?
    thanks.

    What if you:
    Select all the images in the Aperture browser that are missing>File>Locate Referenced Images. Then when the Referenced Dialogue box appears, try re-connecting your missing files by pointing Aperture to where you know they exist (using the bottom half of the dialogue box).
    I wonder if that will help.

  • Time capsule not found by airport after new router

    I have a time capsule that I do not use as a router, just for time machine.  It worked fine for a year wirelessly backing up my macs but then I moved and have a new router.  Airport no longer finds the time capsule and it says I can't back it up my macs because the backup disk cannot be found.  I tried plugging the TC in to my modem but no luck.
    Thoughts?
    Thank you!
    Beth

    Plug the TC into a computer by ethernet directly.. press and hold the reset until it starts to flash rapidly.. about 10sec. Then the utility should be able to find it and simply set it up in bridge mode..
    You should download the 5.6 airport utility for lion as v6 is a toy. You can run both side by side and keep 6 for pretty network pictures.

  • Oracle drivers not found by servlets after upgrade of JDK

    I am using jakarta-tomcat 4.0.1 with WIN2K.
    After a recent upgrade to jdk 1.4.0_02 from jdk1.3.1, servlets that try to use oracle crash with this error:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/jdbc/driver/OracleDriver
         at ProductLookup.loadJDBCDriver(ProductLookup.java:23)
    the code at line 23 is:
    DriverManager.registerDriver ( new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
    This all worked prior to the upgrade of jdk.
    The code at line 23 does work using the command line.
    I did check the ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES - in my limitted knowledge they look OK. But I am sure there MUST be something missing &/or incorrect.
    During execution, the servlet is just not finding "something".
    I am relatively new to JAVA and especially new to servlets.
    What should I look for to solve this problem?
    TIA

    The oracle drivers are in a file called classes12.zip.
    Make sure that you unzip these files to where the
    servlets can find them.
    %TOMCAT_HOME%\common\classes
    or
    %TOMCAT_HOME%\classes
    or
    %TOMCAT_HOME\webapps\{app name}\WEB-INF\classesIs %TOMCAT_HOME% an environment variable? I have one called CATALINA_HOME. It is set the jakarta folder "C:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.1"
    Something I noticed: If I execute tomcat "startup.bat" in a command prompt window, I see echo'd messages. One says "Using CLASSPATH: C:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.1\bin\bootstarp.jar;C:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.1\lib\tools.jar" but this NOT match the Environment Variable "classpath" which does specify the path to the classes12.zip folder. Should the "catalina.bat" file assemble the classpath to include the same Environment Variable "classpath" in addition to bootstrap.jar and tools.jar?
    Where can I find specific documentation on how to setup the environment for jakarta-tomcat to find the ORACLE drivers during execution of a servlet?
    TIA
