8900 Smartphone getting hang after boot

I had problem with the 8900 Smartphone, All Contacts, Call logs used to get erase after i boot up the bb after removing the battery.  so I upgraded the bb with 8900jEastAsia_PBr5.0.0_rel1168_PL5.2.0.67_A5.0.0.681_Redington__India__Limited.  But after installing this version my bb takes long time to boot and get hang on white screen with BB logo.  I'm trying to downgrade the version but not able to do so.. Please advise soon.

In that case, have you try updating the latest BIOS, chipset driver, USB driver(if any) from your mainboard website.

  • Forms gets hang after 15 mins in 11.5.10.2

    Hi,
I have cloned an instance from production. Now my forms in production are getting hanged after 15 mins but the development instance is running fine. The EBS version is 11.5.10.2. Linux RedHat 4.0. Jserv 1.1.
Everytime this is happening at 15-20 mins interval. I have seen the log files in iAS_HOME/Apache but they are clean.
Can anyone plz help on this.
    Thanks.
    Neeraj.

Rapid Clone does not modify the source system. adpreclone.pl prepares the source system to be cloned by collecting information about the database and creating generic templates of files containing source specific hardcoded values.
I suggest you use Forms Runtime Diagnostics (FRD) to debug the issue, for more details on how to use it please check Note: 150168.1 - Obtaining Forms Runtime Diagnostics (FRD) In Oracle Applications 11i

  • [SOLVED]Hanging after booting from installation media

Yesterday I booted from a rw-DVD got to the terminal and could execute commands, connect to the internet and use elink etc no problem. I didn't go through with installation as I wanted to read up more on partitioning my drives for dual booting before actually doing so.
Trying the same thing today, and it hangs soon after I boot, regardless of whether I do anything. Printing the following:
nouveau E[ DRM] failed to idle channel 0xcccc0000 [DRM]
    pci_pm_runtime_suspend(): nouveau_pmops_runtime_suspend+0x0/0xf0 [nouveau] returns -16
    INFO: rcu_preempt detected stalls on CPUs/tasks: { 6} (detected by 1, t=18002 jiffiess, g=974, c=973, q=604)
This is without me typing anything. If I try to execute a command quickly after booting it sometimes works, but after a couple of minutes it will complain of a soft lockup.
I've tried burning another disk, and using a USB installation media, but the same thing happens. Any thoughts?
Edit: Trying to run it on a laptop with i7-4700MQ, 16GB ram, and Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M
Second Edit: Booted with nomodeset, which worked and allowed me to install. Just trying to sort out the sodding boot loaders now...

    Welcome to the forum.
First of all, you should get in the habit of using [ code ] tags when posting code, not [ quote ] tags (well, unless you want to apply some styling to it, like bold, italic, etc).
    This is wrong:
    # umount /dev/sdc
    This is correct:
    # umount /dev/sdc1
You were trying to unmount the drive as a whole, which obviously isn't mounted, instead of the first (and probably only) partition. Had you followed the advice from the note to use blkid and check if it's mounted, this wouldn't have happened. But the fact that a DVD produced that error puzzles me... I have no experience with UEFI, but I think you need to press F10, F11, or something like that, to able able to get to a UEFI boot menu, and choose the optical unit as source.
I hope you used a BitTorrent client when downloading the ISO, and not some direct link (which are prone to CRC errors). If you used a direct link, then check the MD5 and make sure that it matches the one from the Download page. For future reference, torrents are checked while they're being downloaded.

    Hi,
Please find below my findings about the memory leak.
Many (around 40 where max connection is 50) connection were created without they getting closed in a very short span of time. This caused the connection pool to be filled as rest of the connections in the connection pool were doing something else. Below is the log message:

So, what might cause this JDBC error. Is the problem at Weblogic end or the database end? It seems that the connections are hanging due to this JDBC error which is causing the connection pool to be filled up. Subsequently threads are hanging which leads to memory leak.

  • Deployment hangs after boot

Hello Forum, I've run into a weird issue. Only one of my images will not deploy. It doesn't boot to the PXE environment, it hangs at the windows screen(see screenshot). I figured, maybe it's a driver thing, so I went to the manufacturer's site and grabbed
the latest drivers as well as the Winpe drivers, still no go. Next, I deleted the deployment's boot folder contents and completely regenerated the boot files, still no go. I've also, rebuilt the wim file from scratch, still at a dead end. I'm totally baffled
because only one of our models has this problem.
    version: MDT 2012 6.1.2373.0
Hosted on Windows Server 2008 R2 VM
    WDS: NO
Since it's not booting to the PXE environment, it's not generating any logs files. Please Help
IT Support " Scripting Noob "

Sorry for the wait guys, I'm totally stuck now. Ok, here we go.
1.) I moved the OS to a test deployment share, it booted to PE but failed due to no network driver. I added the drivers and tried again, it went back to hanging at boot. So, I removed ALL the drivers,
verified the Out-Of-Box drivers folder was empty, and completely regenerated the boot files, it still hangs at boot.
2.) I thought the deployment share was caching the MAC or something so checked the deployment folder in the %temp% directory, it was empty.

A bit OT, but the current rc.conf doesn't support blacklisting modules so '!snd_pcsp !pcspkr' sin't doing anything.
How did you set these interfaces up? Maybe they got mixed up on boot https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Co … vice_Names

  • After recent updates (Oct '14) can't get IP after boot to MDT

MDT 2013 in VM on Hyper-V host.  2 Deployment Shares.  Has been working w/out issue until today.
Just applied the updates to all my servers and office PCs for this month's updates.  Now when I boot to network and connect to MDT, the wizard pops up with the usual credential request.  I enter my credentials and it states it can't authenticate
my credentials.  When I exit the wizard, I check the IP and it is a generic 192.168...which explains why I can't log in w/my credentials as it looks as if it looses the IP it initially had when it was able to communicate with MDT to start the imaging
    process.
When I boot the PC normally, I have a domain IP and have no issues.  When I boot the PC to network and select the appropriate Deployment Share, it shows it is connected to the MDT server as it loads the wizard...it's just after that, that it seems to
    lose its DHCP IP.
Anyone else experience this yet?  I don't know where to start to look on which update is causing this.  Whether it be on the PDC, the MDT server (VM), the Hyper-V server that hosts the VM, or the PC...
***Update:  I even gave it a static IP at the beginning of the wizard and it still comes up with "Invalid credentials:  The network path was not found".
***Just checked ipconfig after this last fail and for some reason the subnet mask isn't entered correctly like I entered it...it shows 255.255.0.0 instead of 255.255.255.0...???  Also...the connection-specific DNS suffix is correct...and default gateway
are correct...but it also did not take the static IP that I assigned it...it has "autoconfiguration IPv4 address...169.254.223.42" which is not what I gave it...

OK...figured it out...this is weird.  I have IPv6 disabled on all my internal servers.  I enable IPv6 and now I can authenticate...
The thing that tipped me off about it was that when I was trying to give it a static IP from w/in the MDT wizard, it was showing the IPv6 address and then saying autoassigned IPv4 with something that I did not give it.  So I enabled IPv6 on the MDT
server's NIC and then booted the PC "normal" and I was able to authenticate...

  • DMP 4305 getting hanged and not reachable

    Hi,
We have a DMP 4305 player which is running the version 5.2.1 and MCS 7835-H2 server playing version 5.2.2.
The players are getting hanged after few days and is not reachable. We need to restart the players, but the same thing repeats after few days.
    Kindly advise.

    Hi,
Normally DMP and DMM are supposed to run the same version so the first step here would be to upgrade your DMP to 5.2.2 so that it matches the DMM version.
If you still have the problem afterwards a TAC case would be the way to go to investigate if we are facing a memory leak or a simple hang of the device.

  • Yosemite hangs in booting after applying Update 2015-003.

I have applied Update 2015-003 to Yosemite.
After booting the progress bar hangs at about 30% for over an hour.
The hardware is a MacBook Pro with a SSD harddrive.

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
To restart an unresponsive computer, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the power shuts off, then release, wait a few more seconds, and press it again briefly.
    Step 1
The first step in dealing with a startup failure is to secure the data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since the last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to start. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
    a. Start up from the Recovery partition, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.” The article refers to starting up from a DVD, but the procedure in Recovery mode is the same. You don't need a DVD if you're running OS X 10.7 or later.
    b. If Step 1a fails because of disk errors, and no other Mac is available, then you may be able to salvage some of your files by copying them in the Finder. If you already have an external drive with OS X installed, start up from it. Otherwise, if you have Internet access, follow the instructions on this page to prepare the external drive and install OS X on it. You'll use the Recovery installer, rather than downloading it from the App Store.
    c. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, start the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
    d. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
    Step 2
If the startup process stops at a blank gray screen with no Apple logo or spinning "daisy wheel," then the startup volume may be full. If you had previously seen warnings of low disk space, this is almost certainly the case. You might be able to start up in safe mode even though you can't start up normally. Otherwise, start up from an external drive, or else use the technique in Step 1b, 1c, or 1d to mount the internal drive and delete some files. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation.
    Step 3
Sometimes a startup failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM.
    Step 4
If a desktop Mac hangs at a plain gray screen with a movable cursor, the keyboard may not be recognized. Press and hold the button on the side of an Apple wireless keyboard to make it discoverable. If need be, replace or recharge the batteries. If you're using a USB keyboard connected to a hub, connect it to a built-in port.
    Step 5
If there's a built-in optical drive, a disc may be stuck in it. Follow these instructions to eject it.
    Step 6
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to start up, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can start up now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
    Step 7
If you've started from an external storage device, make sure that the internal startup volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
Start up in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know the login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
When you start up in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, the startup volume is corrupt and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to Step 11. If you ever have another problem with the drive, replace it immediately.
If you can start and log in in safe mode, empty the Trash, and then open the Finder Info window on the startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) Check that you have at least 9 GB of available space, as shown in the window. If you don't, copy as many files as necessary to another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion isn't complete until you empty the Trash again. Do this until the available space is more than 9 GB. Then restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)
If the startup process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
    Step 8
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see Step 1.) Select the startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it may produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then restart as usual.
    Step 9
If the startup device is an aftermarket SSD, it may need a firmware update and/or a forced "garbage collection." Instructions for doing this with a Crucial-branded SSD were posted here. Some of those instructions may apply to other brands of SSD, but you should check with the vendor's tech support.
    Step 10
Reinstall the OS. If the Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
    Step 11
Do as in Step 9, but this time erase the startup volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically restart into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer the data from a Time Machine or other backup.
    Step 12
This step applies only to models that have a logic-board ("PRAM") battery: all Mac Pro's and some others (not current models.) Both desktop and portable Macs used to have such a battery. The logic-board battery, if there is one, is separate from the main battery of a portable. A dead logic-board battery can cause a startup failure. Typically the failure will be preceded by loss of the settings for the startup disk and system clock. See the user manual for replacement instructions. You may have to take the machine to a service provider to have the battery replaced.
    Step 13
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
