9.2 Web Services Participating in JTA Transactions?

If I set up a web service using JWS in Weblogic 9.2, and make this available to clients, is it possible to set up the web service so that it participates in a pre-existing JTA transaction (Transaction Required type setup)?
In other words, if the client is a Transaction Required EJB and it uses the new web service, do the two share the same transaction, such that if the client rolls back, anything that occurred in the web service is also rolled back?
If this is possible, I would appreciate any references to examples that do this.
          Thanks,
          ken clark

Hello,
From your description it looks like the SAP ME web services are configured correctly on NW side.
The problem is most likely in SAPMEINT/MII configuration. Because the authentication properties for SAP ME web services are not configured in the transaction directly.
These properties are configured in MII Administration Menu -> Security Services -> Credential Editor. The name is SAPMEINT_ME_AUTH
Thanks

  • Creating a Web Service Proxy for a transaction with Microsoft Visual Studio

    Hi experts out there,
I have created a simple transaction which I'd like to call as a webservice. Getting the WSDL from an authenticated browser (from which I started the xMII Workbench) works fine. But when I try to create a Web Reference within my Visual Studio project I only get the following output:
    "XacuteWS" Description
    Methods
Xacute ( LoginName As string ,  LoginPassword As string ,  InputParams As InputParams ) As Rowset
I think this is because my visual studio is not authenticated with the xMII server. So is there any way to achieve this? I have to find a way to generate a .NET proxy for out xMII web services because otherwise it would be too complicated to use the web services from within our .NET applications.
Thanks in advance for any hint on this topic!
    Achim

    Two comments:
    1) The generated proxy looks correct.  If you explore the generated code for the InputParams object and the Rowset object, they should represent the incoming and outgoing data structures for your transaction.  If not, and if you are returning an XML property type from the transaction, be sure that you have used the "Assign Reference Document" technique to tell MII what the structure of your outgoing document is (there are a few other discussion threads on that topic).
    2) Personally, I find it much easier to consume MII services from .NET code using a URL-based technique instead of a SOAP based technique.  Invoke the "Runner" servlet (see the documentation) and you'll get an XML document back, that will always be in the MII Rowsets/Rowset/Row format.  Also, it is "self describing" because it includes Column metadata information.  It is very trivial to load this into a .NET XmlDocument object and parse/process it.  In fact, doing a similar approach, I've been able to make MII services appear as ADO.NET tables/stored procedures to .NET code.

  • MII transaction as Web service integration

Hi MII's transaction can be called as WS but it has its own format. We have a system to integrate and this system should call MII's transaction. However the WS interface of the system is inflexible (it cannot be change, but has a very simple structure). So I just want to know any idea how we could change MII in order to adapt to the data structure .

Now, I am able to create the Web Service in SAP and it is now showing the respective class, attribute and methods to execute this web service (web service to call MII transaction).

    Thank you,
    Shabeer Ahmed.

    Hi
Web AS 6.40 you can create a Web Service Proxy directly in Transaction SE80. Create a new package and right click on it. Choose Create -> Enterprise service / Web service -> Proxy object. Now you can choose how you want to provide the WSDL Source.

  • Urgent: Is it possible to deploy a web service EAR/JAR to a container other than WebLogic?

    Hi,
Is it possible to deploy an EAR/JAR created using JwsCompile to any J2EE container?
Ideally, I would like to make use of the features that are only provided by WebLogic
Workshop, like State Management, Callbacks too. If possible, what are the steps
    involved?
There is an example for interoperability included in the samples that demonstrates
the use of a WebLogic Workshop web service from an ASP.NET web service, participating
in a conversation and accepting a callback. Is it possible to do the same using
a normal C# windows or webforms app instead of using an ASP.NET web service? So,
I would like to access the WebLogic workshop generated web service with state
management and callbacks from a C# windows app.
    Thanks in anticipation,

  • Error Calling Web Service - VersionMismatch Wrong SOAP Version

    Hello,
I am attempting to create a web service from a function module, and to call this web service from outside of SAP.
I used the Web Service Creation Wizard to create a web service from BAPI_CURRENCY_GETLIST, and tested it using the Web Service Homepage button from transaction WSADMIN. Everything seems to work OK so far.
To test calling the web service, I copied the SOAP envelope from the web service homepage into a vbscript file:
    Const HOST = "http://<server>.<domain>:<port>"
    Const URL = "/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ZWSD_Currency?sap-client=<nnn>"

How can I tell what version(s) of SOAP the NetWeaver 2004 platform supports? Has anyone seen and resolved this error?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mark

    Hi Anton,
Thanks for the helpful suggestion. I did try setting SOAPAction using xmlhttp.setRequestHeader, but that didn't seem to make any difference. I may not have formatted the SOAP header correctly, however.
What I noticed is that if I added a slash at the end of the xmlns:soap tag in the SOAP envelope, I got a different error message (SOAP Processing failure, error id = 112).
I downloaded version 2.0 of the .NET framework and the SOAPSonar tool. SOAPSonar was able to format the SOAP envelope from the WSDL. When I pasted the SOAP envelope from SOAPSonar into my vbscript file, it worked. So, the vbscript looks like this:
    Const HOST = "http://nwr051.nwenergy:1080"
    Const URL = "/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ZWSD_Currency?sap-client=100"
    Const FORMAT = "dd-MMM-yy"
    ' Create the HTTP object
    Set xmlhttp = CreateObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP")
    Dim Request
    Request = "<?xml version=""1.0"" encoding=""utf-8""?>" & _
              "<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap=""http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"" xmlns:xsi=""http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"" xmlns:xsd=""http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"" xmlns:tns=""urn:sap-com:document:sap:soap:functions:mc-style"">" & _
              " <soap:Body>" & _
              "    <tns:CurrencyGetlist>" & _
              "      <CurrencyList>" & _
              "      </CurrencyList>" & _
              "    </tns:CurrencyGetlist>" & _
              "  </soap:Body>" & _
              "</soap:Envelope>"
xmlhttp.open "POST", HOST & URL, False
    xmlhttp.send (request)
    MsgBox (xmlhttp.responseXML.xml)
Again, thanks for taking the time to read through this and offer your insight.

  • Web Services error

    Hi there,
We've successfully created and consumed a web services in our development box, however due to internet communication framework error that comes up whenever the other system is down, i've developed an ABAP program to automatically resubmit those. The program is working correctly when run in the foreground(both Dev & QA), but it seems i can't run it in the background in QA. Can anyone let me know where the problem is or if there is a setting that will automatically resend when the link is up.
Or maybe is there a settings to disable the web service to be consumed in the background cause maybe that's what is causing the problem. I'm not farmiliar with all the proxy/web service settings and their transaction codes.
    Thanks.

    HI vision1919,
I understand that you're having problems connecting to web services.  I would try the steps below.  Let me know how it goes.
    1. Obtain your printer's IP address
    a. This can be done by pressing the wireless icon on printer.
    2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.
    3. Select the network tab at the top of the page.
    4. On the left select networking.
    5. Select Network Address (IP)
    6. Select Manual DNS Server
    a. Manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8
    b. Alternate DNS Server should read. 8.8.4.4
    7. Select apply you might get a warning just select okay.

  • Call webdynpro java Web Service from ABAP

    Hello,
This is regarding calling portal web service from ABAP.
    1. created web service in NWDS and deployed it to portal server
    2. created abap proxy to call this web service from abap SE80 transaction
    3. created logical portal for the above proxy  LPCONFIG transaction
this is working perfectly. the web service is getting called from abap and funcitonality is working
but my doubt is we have no where given the login password for portal server in the abap system
then how come it works without login password
if i run this web service directly from portal in wsnavigator, then portal login is required.
If we want to incorporate authentication then how to do that ?
    thankyou,
    B

When you are testing the application in SE80.
Is it ot asking for the user id password.
I created a similar service and for me its asking for user id and password.
Go to SM59 and there look for a RFC destination of type HTTP Connection to External Serv. usually will be named as
    SAP_PROXY_ESR.
for this connection check the logon and security tab.
may be some user id and password is given there. means hardcoded.

  • List all web services available in release

    Hi,
I was asked to give a complete list of the web services available in crm 7 AND ecc 6.
I looked at the enterprise service workplace but to get the complete list means I must go through each process component and drill down and build the list manually.
I tried to get it from wsadmin and soamanager on the test systems available but there is no export function I found.
Is there a simple way to get this list ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
For  ABAP web services, I would use transaction
SE80 --> Repository Information System --> Enterprise Services --> Service Definitions
I just tried it in my CRM 2007 system and I get 224 hits.
It's not perfect because you will not get the different bindings and you get all web services and not only Enterprise Services.
    I hope it helps.

  • Web Service on ECC 6.0 SP14

    Hi everybody,
I have a message interface on PI 7.0.
I need to generate, from this interface, an asyncronous Web Service on ECC 6.0 SP14 for a direct connection without PI.
    How can I do that?
    hank you

    Hi
if you want to create the web service using the function module do the following steps.
the main requirement for creting the web service using the function module is the function should be RFC enabled.
    1. To create web service of this Function Module
Go to Utilities ->More utilities->create a web service->from function module
    2. A new wizard will be open to create the web service and click on continue.
    3. Enter the web service name (any name that you want to give) and give the short description, select the Endpoint type as Fuinction Module and click on continue.
    4. Select the Function Module name that you are using.
    5. select the profile as Basic Authentication: SOAP Pro.
    6. Press continue to release the web service. The web service is now created
To check the web service Go to the transaction WSADMIN and select the node
SOAP Application for RFC-Complaint FMs and expand the node and select your web service that you have created and expand the web service node up to the last .
Now to test the web service select the last node and click on the web service home page button and it will open the home page.
from this page u will get the wsdl file as well as you can testthe web service.
    Thanks

    - A set of XML schemas that are used for messages that fly around on our JMS servers
    - An XMLBeans generated API for dealing with said schemas
    - A set of MDBs that use schemas and generated API to understand JMS message bodies
    - A stateless session bean with some biz logic that also uses the generated APIs.
    - A golden-WSDL that closely resembles the stateless session bean interface and uses <xsd:import> elements to reference the existing schemas. (An implementation that just called that SSB would be great.)
Now I'd like to expose that SSB as a SOAP over HTTP web service - preferably using the already generated XML Bean APIs. I'd like to use the JAX-RPC SOAP processing, but plug-in our existing Java <-> XML marshaling code.
The BEA manual "Programing Web Services for WebLogic Server" has only made it worse as it leaves the impression that the ONLY way to do WLS web services is via JWS/JSR-181 annotations. But it appears that I really want is to expose an EJB as endpoint as described by JSR 109/921.
I'd be happy if I could figure out how to get the service endpoint to just pass the soap body as raw XML. Then I could call our existing xml to java marshaling code myself.
We're running on WLS 9.2MP2 on top of Java5. We need the web-service to start a transaction, to bundle into an ear and be deployable to cluster.
    Any suggestions or pointers?
    Thanks,
    - Chris

Can't you just use the SAAJ API that way you'll have controll as to how your SOAP message is constructed?
