A feature with assets

I'm in a project group that is working on a designing
application. It contains a menu and a canvas in which user can move
certain elements (assets), png-pictures. What might be the easiest
way to create a feature that when the user moves a new object ON an
existing one (in the canvas area already), the older will be
deleted? Our application's canvas area identifies inserted objects
via precise points in x- and y-axis and the deleting mechanism
should work with the same principle.
Another issue the transparency of images. As I mentioned
we're using png-images but we prefer to make them to embed and
transparency is thus a sort of problem. I found a clue how the
embedded images could still remain transparent from here

but that Doug-named guy uses whole different function than us and
the procedure he mentioned can't probably be used at all.

I used to run a cable from my mini display port to the HDMI input of a TV. This feature seems to be lost in the Mountain Lion upgrade. Did Apple feel that once Mountain Lion came out that EVERYONE would have Apple TV? There are no settings in System Preferences/Display like there used to be...only for AirPlay Mirroring.

Running a cable to the HDMI port is still supported. (and still works on mine).
If the Arrangement tab in System Preferences > Displays isn't present then it doesn't recognize the physical connection. Double check all cables. If that doesn't work try a PRAM reset:

Hi Praveen,
You mentined before you wanted to view depreciation simulation, for this RASIMU02 is the report to use.
However, if you want to see depreciation planned /and or posted you can use the Asset Balance RABEST_ALV01. If you click on the indicator "current book value" you will see the actually posted depreciation and current Netbook Value. Also in this report you can enter the Asset Class in the selection parameters.
Regarding viewing the note I forwarded to you previously: you can view it via the SAP Portal - http://help.sap.com/. If you go to SAP ERP tab, you will see on the right hand side pannel a link to SAP Notes. Here you can view any note.

Diff. GL balance (FBL3N) with asset report (s_alr_87011963).

Dear Experts,
There is a certain asset class (Computer) which is not tally to the GL balance. What is the possible reason to check?
I am verifying the GL balance (FBL3N) with asset report (s_alr_87011963). please refer below table.

i have found two line items in GL balance that are not showing in asset report (which is difference amt Rs. 1629).
The document Type is "AA" of below entries.
1. Vat retention @4% for Rs. 1000/-
          asset ac - Dr             1000
                Input vat capital Cr -
2. Vat retention @4% for Rs. 629/-
          asset ac - Dr             629
                Input vat capital Cr -
Report is showing all documents(entries) of Doc type "AA"

I'll get it worked into my main script. Is this Action Manager code, and not just regular Javascript from the Scripting Dictionary? I can't tell the difference. I'll see whether or not it's actually faster than Applescript.

IO assigned with Asset,but not coming at the time of PO creation.
I have made following settings:
1     Depreciation - IFRS (INR)              1     0L
15     Income Tax Act                             0

31     Depreciation - Indian GAAP (USD)       0
In ACSET-Account assignment:
for dep area-20

so currently i am using only dep area-20 only(Indian GAAP)
CAPEX budgeting is through IO. AUC is not doing through IO,its directly from AIAB/AIBU

so what is the problem,why i am not getting IO (which is in display mode in PO) when assigned the Asset with category of "A" (asset) in PO.......when i assigned Asset- the GL account come automatically but IO didn't come.

Asset Acquisition with Asset Value Date earlier than GI post.date

Dear all,
I am curently using SAP ECC 6.0. We are not creating AuC assets but directly capitalizing assets from investment accounts.
If a material is issued with a date in March and i try to acquire it with asset value date from a previous period, for example in February, the system doesnt issue any message and lets me post the transaction. The accountants claim that this hadnt been possible in the earlier version of SAP 4.6 that we had been using and that the system had issued an error message - "Posting not possible (Value date earlier than capitalization date)"
The accounting logic is that you cant capitalize an asset with a date earlier than the date when it has been in use, i.e. in our case it`s the date the material has been issued from the warehouse.
Does someone know what logic does SAP follow in this case - and if i can set a validation control that will check and compare the two dates?
Any opinion would be appreciated

Really frustrated!!! Using SP 2010 with VS 2010. Created a simple project with just 1 elements.xml file for adding 2 columns. Scope of the feature is "Site". When I right click and deploy it gives below error.
Error occurred in deployment step 'Activate Features': Feature with Id 'GUID' is not installed in this farm, and cannot be added to this scope.
If I look at the CA, I see the wsp is installed but NOT deployed (Status = "Not Deployed", "Deployed To" = None). I have checked the GUID in the error and its my feature id.
Please let me know what is going wrong here! Thanks for your help.

I really become desperate with this one. I know, it's mentioned hundred times in the web, and it really works when you use a force deployment, but my simple question is: Why?
To explain my issue: We have several SharePoint 2010 solutions which we want to deploy to SharePoint 2013 with Visual Studio 2012 running on Windows Server 2012. Site solutions work. But farm solutions just don't. I get the error (you
guessed it): A feature with ID 15/... has already been installed in this farm. Use the force attribute to explicitly re-install the feature.
And it does really work with the force attribute, but why on earth do you have to use the force flag? Something has to be different, and if there is an already installed feature with this ID, then why can Visual Studio not uninstall or
deactivate it by itself first? This error never occurred with SharePoint 2010 and VS2012, although features are already installed.

You can type the email using what you set in preferences and then highlight the text and use command - minus sign (or command - + for larger) to reduce the size of the text.
You can also type command - T and a window will appear allowing you to select fonts/sizes/color/ background highlight.
The above works in Notes also. I haven't tried to do this in any other Apple application.
For incoming emails, you can use the above to reduce font size, but I don't know of a way to permanently set the incoming font size to a default.

Thanks Community! I solved the problem. In fact it was not a problem but lack of understanding. These guys at Apple are way ahead in thir thinking. I will try to explain as short as I can.
In Lion, ihe Prefferences/Display show only two choices: 6-7 steps of resolution and some color tab. No two screens, no two display to overlap, nothing for us to do. "That was the problem"! Everything is automatic.
When I connected the HDMI cable to the Miniport into a T-bolt slot, the TV screen showed the "spiral galaxy" how Zyriab is calling it. In fact he gave me the best clue. That shows the connection is good. But where is the Mac Book image?
You have to drag it to the right out of the Mac Book display area, and "voila!" it will continue on the TV screen. The same with the mouse pointer, push it out ofthe Mac Book display area and you see it on the TV sreen. Good image, you can keep the max resolution, etc. The sound is still on the Book's speakers. I have to figure that out.

Follow these steps in the IH08 ALV screen (Output)
- Press Ctrl+F8
- In the pop-up, select Asset field from the Right hand side menu (Column Set) and bring it to Left hand side menu (Displyed Columns) by clicking on the arrow towards left.
- Arrange the position of the field Asset next to the Equipment field (as you desire) by upward/downward arrows.
- Press Enter
Now your Asset column is seen at the place you have arranged.

Use Transaction IE05 - it is a Standard PM Module report that has Equipment number and Asset Number.

I am working on real time but dealing with assets in real time. I am facing problems as when
1) I am trying to purchase or run Depreciation it gives the error message "No Funds Center has been derived for the line item XXXX" but when I open the Additional data option it gives me no option for Funds Center, WBS or I/O.
2) When I try to transfer any asset system comes out with the error message " Account 1035001 is not a reconciliation account" it is a Downpayment G/L that has been assigned in AO90.
What shall I do. How to proceed please answer asap.

Hi Nitin,
1. You would have been Cost centre in asset master record & Cost centre assign to Fund centre in FMDERIVER,so that system automatically picks the same FUnd centre while purchasing the asset and run depreciation.
2. You must define Capital down paymetns account as Reconcialtion account. You must assign reconcilation type as ASSET in GL master data
