A Headache of a problem! After Effects to DVDSP

Hello to every one!
I am having a heck of a time trying to figure this out. I will try and sum this up as best as I can
The goal of the project is - To create a motion menu in After Effects, export and bring into DVD Studio Pro and add buttons for the video. Thats pretty much it.
The Problem I am having - Once I export the menu it looks great, but once I bring it into DVDSP it losses so much quality that I cant use it. I get horrible interlacing, looks like its vertical if anything. Im ages goes very soft and block.
I made the menu in After Effects using the the - NTSC D1 Widescreen SQ Pixels. After doing some reading I was seeing that even if I want it to be a 16:9 Menu It still needs to be made in the 720x480 Dimensions. So I set my comp to NTSC DV Widescreen 720x480 with the Pixel Aspect Ratio to D1/DV Widescreen 1.21.
This did not help at all. But to try anything I could think of I imported the new file with the new settings into Motion and exported it out of there with the default NTSC settings and brought it in to DVDSP and it look good! just a little soft. I though I was in the clear but after I burned the DVD and popped it into a player it looked a little better then the first time I burned but still has all the interlacing problems.
Can any one help me out here? Am I missing something as far as to witch setting I should Set After Effects before I make a menu? Im lost here and have been dealing with this for 4 days
Alslo about Pixel Aspect Ratio Why dose After Effects use .90 and 1.21 but Motion or DVDSP use .90 or 1.20?

I hope some one can add to this... Dose no one use After Effects to build motion menus?
I got a little farther in my problem, I took my comps that are made in NTSC D1 Widescreen SQ Pixels
when doing the final render I selected the Stretch under render Que. and selected the NTSC DV Wide Screen preset. This set the video to 720x480 looking squeezed. Once I imported into DVD Studio Pro, DVDSP un-squeezed the footage and it fit like a 16x9 menu should. However the image still looked bad. I still had the tearing problems and jaggy lines every where. Once again I took the file and brought it into Motion used the NTSC DV preset. Loaded it in and just exported it out and brought back into DVDSP. It looks good no jaggy lines or anything, a little soft though. however when I burn the DVD I still get artifacts around some graphics. (little blocks)
I don't understand why the extra step to Motion makes the file look better in DVDSP?
I also don't understand how there is no information on the web about using After Effects with DVDSP.

After Effects, Illustrator, these programs do not work in Windows 8.1.

It is a widespread problem. I have done a clean install of the system. So there is no conflict with another application.
The problem is as follows:
This application is not compatible with the language of the current operating system.
Open the control panel "Regional and language options" in the Windows Start menu.
Then, on the Advanced tab, change the "Language for non-Unicode programs" setting to match the language of the application.
And the application is running in English.
There was no problem with Windows 8. All has begun with the Windows 8.1 update
Only occurs with Ilustrator CS6, Ilustrator CC, Illustrator CS5 and After Effects.

If it crashes due to text, remove any fonts you may have recently added. Otehrwise you should consider rebuilding your system. Sounds liek you realyl made a mess somewhere that cannot be resolved by just messing with AE, QT and your graphics driver. In particular stay away from installing any CoDec packs. K-Lite is known to cause a lot of damage to Adobe apps...

Supporting Problem After Effects CC do not support Quadro K2100M

I am a user of After Effects CC, i just bought a laptop with Quadro K2100, but surprisingly find out that AE can't figure the video card out. it can't find any cuda and even it can't use the card doing ray-tracing
how can i deal with it ?

That card was added to the list of those that can be used for GPU acceleration of the ray-traced 3D renderer in After Effects CC (12.1):

If you're using that version or later, and it's not working for you, then you need to give a lot more information, including exact version number of After Effects, operating system, CUDA driver, GPU driver...

How are you trying to download it? Are you using the Creative Cloud app?

[PROBLEME] After Effects (erreur): Mémoire insuffisante pour initialiser PSL.

Bonjour, depuis ce matin j'ai un problèmes avec mon After Effect CS6,
je démarre un projet tout ce passe bien jusqu'au moment du rendu ça débute bien
mais au bout d'environs 60% un message d'erreur s'affiche je vous met la capture d'écrans.
J'utilise Windows 8.1
Ma config et un Intel Core i7 4790 avec 8GO de RAM

Bonjour Alexandre Parenteau, je me suis rendu dans le dossier que tu viens de m'indiquer (%APPDATA%\Adobe\After Effects) j'ai supprimer la totaliter des fichier qui si trouver et relancer after effect; et toujours le même problèmes je me suis ensuite rendu dans le bouton edition puis j'ai purger toute la mémoire; et la j'ai ce message d'erreur

Conviene casi siempre tener instalada la versión mas reciente de controladores, especialmente cuando se actualizan aplicaciones.

Multiple problems installing After Effects 12.2.1.5 trail on os x 10.9.3

iMac 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 - 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
I downloaded the CC app and then downloaded After Effects 12.2
Installed the 12.2.1.5 update.
I feel that all my issues are interrelated so I'm posting them together.
Here are the problems:
After Effects warning: Could not rename the file '/Users/...../Library/Preferences/Adobe/AfterEffects/12.2/Workspaces......xml' to Workspaces.xml'. My workaround: i changed the 12.0, 12.1, and 12.2 folder permissions to Read & Write for system,wheel,everyone + all enclosed folders.
Start up time takes 4 minutes because it hangs on Initializing MediaCore.
'Quicktime component not installed on this system...' error message. Strange because QT works for AE CS5
Quicktime not available in Render Queue
Render Queue: Missing lossless, alpha only, lossless with alpha, quicktime, and ram preview formats
Ram preview only works for a few frames then stops.
Preferences : After Effects Multiprocessing: Number of actual cpu's used is stuck at 0. Can’t be changed.
Preferences don't save after restart
Instead of hunting down solutions for each problem I feel there is one solution to them all.
My hunch is there is a permissions problem that stops After Effects from installing and working properly.

And there have been a number of threads about it. You may have a couple of different issues occurring and I've seen some good threads on both.
Permissions issues are mentioned a lot with OS upgrades. Do a forum search and I'm sure you'll find some answers.
Also there's this page on Quicktime issues: troubleshooting QuickTime errors with After Effects that you should probably take a look at.

After Effects CS 11.0.4.2: Problem loading project file (error loading plugins etc.)

Hello Adobe community,
after creating a new project a few days ago, my After Effects CS6 v.11.0.4 has a problem with opening the project. Only this project can't open (everything else opens).
I atteched some pictures to explain my problem better.
I created a video in AE and used the warp stabilization. Ater 2 days i wanted to work on the project. If i open it up it loads and brings up a problem window. (see picture 1)
It says "After Effects Problem: After Effects crashed while opening the Effect-Plugin 'warp stabilization'".
By clicking "Ok", another problem window opens up. (see picture 2)
It says "After Effects Problem: After Effects crashed while opening the Effect-Plugin 'auto color'".
If i click "Ok", the next window comes up. (see picture 3)
It says "Cash at Processing. Latest protocolled Notification: <6796> <ae.blitpipe> <2> Making New Context"
After clicking OK again, it says i can save a copy of the project. (picture 4)
This pops up after saving. (picture 5)
After that AE cloeses.
If i open up the new projectfile, it brings up this problem. (see picture 6)
---> "After Effects Problem: Missing Data in file"
But sometimes it says "No valid file-type"
What can i do? Every other project with warp stabilization opens up.
Does this mean i have to start from the beginning?
Is this problem known by anyone of the community?

If you enable caps lock before opening the problematic project, does it open?

After Effects CS6 (11.0.4) update: bug fixes

After Effects CS6 and Premiere Pro CS6 Long Startup and Application Hang

Problem:
After Effects and Premiere Pro CS5.5 and CS6 are very slow to start all of a sudden. Around 5 minutes to get to/by the intro dialogue box. For AE, the majority of the time is spent on the "initializing user interface." Then, if I can make a comp, and even a layer inside that comp, it will "Hang" if I attempt to open AE's General preferences for example (no preferences window ever comes up). This "hang" is what the Event Viewer in windows calls it, with the faulting module being afterfx.exe. Premiere is not much different. It makes it to the new project window fast, but after setting project parameters and creating the first sequence, I can't get into the preferences either and the application hangs. It is important to note that if I have another application open, like Chrome or Firefox for example at the time the application hangs, they will freeze as well. As soon as I kill the Afterfx.exe process, they come back to life.
I have read nearly all threads on the subject, and am struggling to find a solution:
Deleted preferences folder under my username's appdata.
Turned off Firewall (network traffic from dynamiclink, qtserver, etc was allowed, but what the hay)
ran windows system file checker/malwarebytes/rkill/rootkit detection.
checked for windows compatibility checkboxes under the file.
Uninstalled Wacom Tablet drivers
Disabled Aero
Started with ctrl-alt-shift to delete pref.
uninstalled video driver and replaced with one 6 months ago.
uninstalled, reinstalled, and tested various quicktime versions back to version 7.69
moved plugins folder
moved opengl's plugin out of the folder temporarily
Disabled all 3rd party codecs (xvid was the only one installed and for months)
reinitialized default directshow filters
checked for adobe font list (none found) and removed any fonts from 1 month ago to present.
used msconfig to selective startup without other applications/services running.
Uninstalled all adobe products, and reinstalled.
I performed all of these in a systematic manner, trying to solve the problem. None have fixed the problem.
So it doesn't seem to be a network issue, a codec issue, a plugin issue, a driver issue, font issue, or conflicting application. Any thoughts?

Core i7 - 960 24GB ram
AMD Radeon 6750 v12.10

Who's says that Microsoft can't debug?
I used msconfig, first disabling startup items, -same result.
Enabled all startup items, disabled all non-microsoft services - AE worked!
I re-enabled each service in turn until AE crashed.
The fault was related to an item for a video streaming device I have in my house. It was Monsoon-multimedia's Vulkano Service. Sometimes under the old name of Hava, this is an app that acts like a sling-box to send my Cable TV to my screen. It does load a couple of virtual devices in device manager, and uses a proprietary codec.
I uninstalled the vulkano streamer application and rebooted the external Vulkano device. I reinstalled the Vulkano and verified it connected to the device and could stream. Once it did, I tried AE again and IT WORKED!
I wonder if simply rebooting the Vulkano would have fixed it. Its like opening the garage door to turn on the refridgerator.

After Effects CC 2014,0 H264 Media export

Windows 8.1 (absolutely nothing to do with the problem)
Quicktime version 7,7,5 (absolutely nothing to do with the problem)
After Effects CC 2014.0
Unable to export media with h264 codec of the same quality as in After Effects CS6,
Media Encoder CC 2014.0 - h264 - worse quality, twice the size of the file
Quicktime - h264 - much lower quality, much larger - about 6x - unusable

Without quality media export this program unusable.

Thank you I learned that it is dependent on the setting. After twenty years of working with AE, it is refreshing to me. I recommend you try the settings before you answer and you will see that the original h264 codec, which was removed from After Effects, had at the same file size much higher quality. Full HD 50p has MediaCoder twice the size of a qucktime h264 is unusable. If you say that the same results can edit the settings, please publish here the settings for full HD 50p. (for sure 50 frames per second 1920x1080 px) After the recent modifications indeed degraded to a tool for Youtube, but before that it was a professional tool for video post-production. Please, therefore the publication of setting the same quality as it was before deleting AE h264 codec.
