A problem in HTML

Hi,
when I am trying to copy some HTML code of a live web page,
and paste it into a text file or into a new HTML file in
Dreamweaver , when I want to view in Internet Explorer or Firefox
it appears without the Images , that already exist in the original
web page why ? I hope you can help me with this

Problem with HTML viewer

Dear All ,
I am facing a problem with HTML Viewer . My senario is as follows :
1. I have created one HTML page . On that page there are 4 Images
2. I imported that HTML page in SAP with the help of transaction SMW0
3. I Called that HTML page in my ABAP program using the method "load_html_document" of class cl_gui_html_viewer
4. This is happening perfectly ok on the machine on which all this developement was done.
But the issue is when I execute my ABAP program on a different machine , those Images on that HTML page are not displaying.
Can you please guide me how to remove that machine dependancy?

Please check if the image is properly imported properly. Also check if there is any option which you might have forgotten while imported like dependeency.

Problems with html content in box

Hi! I have a problem with html content. For example photoswipe. If I import the folder with the index.html of photoswipe as an article all works fine. If I link it trough the folio overlay creator/webcontent) into a box in indesign dps, it stays empty. Seems like it doesnt find the images/paths??

This sounds familiar. PhotoSwipe doesn't seem to like working in a web content overlay unless the JavaScript and other source files are uploaded within HTMLResources. This means editing your local HTML file so that paths to the JavaScript, images and CSS files begin by pointing to HTMLResources virtual folder (../../../HTMLResources/) before their subfolder and filenames. It's worth a try.

Problem with html:select or html:options tags using struts,jsp and tomcat

I'm updating a Struts-Project to a new layout and therefore rework all jsp Sites.
I'm also using a new Folder-Structure and update therefore my struts-config file.
My Problem now is:
Till now, we had a select-field with a code like this:

The problem now is, that whenever I use any <html:xy> tag, the tomcat server I use can not show the page, he shows just the headers of the template, but not the
content.-jsp-File where the form would be in. He stops right in the middle of the html page, when he notices the <html:xy> tags.
And the funny thing is, that he has no problem to show a page when there is a <html:errors> within it? Why could this be? the struts-html.tld File is well included and teh Tomcat Server shows no exceptions.

Problem with HTML in a read only textarea item

I'm working on a messaging system for our site. For the body of the message, we use a standard textarea item. However, if we come to the messaging page from a certain page in our system, then we pre-load the textarea item, and make it read only. The only problem with this is that there are HTML tags in the body that we try to pre-load. This is causing problems because they aren't being interpreted as tags, but are being displayed as text. If I make the textarea editable, then everything looks fine, it's just when I set the area to be read only that it doesn't work. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Thanks!

Not always. A user is allowed to edit that area in most circumstances except for when the user arrives at the page coming from 1 page in particular. In this case, then the field is read-only. At all other times though, it is editable.
As a workaround, whenever I know I'm coming from this page, I set a variable, and if the variable is set, then I use a Display Only item and then hide the Textarea. If the variable is not set, then I hide my Display Only item and show the Textarea. Not very elegant, but it works.

Problem in HTML and HTMLCSS format of reports

I'm using Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2 to build a tabular report, in the repot preview everything is ok but in the real time I have two problems :
1- When I try to generate html file or access the report with desformat=html some graphical formats like lines and background colors are gone!. When I see the source of the generated HTML file the tables border is 0. I changed the border to be 1px with solid style and black color but nothing happened.
2- When I try to generate htmlCSS file or access the report with desformat=htmlCSS the graphics is there but when I print the report there is some shift between the generated page and the printed page i.e: the printed pages are not the same like the report's pages. I added some code in the after page property as a page break but nothing changed

Hi
The best way to organize data and images to get them next to each other is to use a table (no borders) in your RTF template. Create a two celled table and drop the image into one and the text next to it.

I4m doin4a Sql query Report with it will be used as a menu with linked option with htp.anchor and in the display html options I use html to create an style that shows the lines in white and not underlined, it works ok, but only in Iexplorer, in Netscape is shows me not underlined, but colored blue
I4m going insane

It seems like this problem is specific to the "Narrative View". If I try the following in the "Static View" it works like expected;

Problem removing html tags from the text retrived

Hi there,
I am using jdbc to connect the database and retriving the data. In one of the columns along with the description there are some html tags in few of the recors of that column. is there a way to retrive the text only ignoring the html tags in between. Or can i retrive and then strip off the html code in the text to display only normal text.
example of the data retrived which are pipe seperated and one of the columns has html tags in it:

Did you read the documentation of the trim() method,
where it describes which whitespace it removes?I believe his problem is that
"Some text here
<blah>
More text"becomes
"Some text here
More text"... and he wants ...

More text"So, your problem is that your regex isn't matching whitespace as well.

Problems with html code for video

I followed this instructions to add my video:
- Upload the files in Muse < Add Files for upload ( These would add the files to your assets )
- Object > Insert HTML :

Page break problems converting HTML to PDF

hello,
i'm using Acrobat Pro 7... yes I know I'll upgrade soon.
I have a bunch of HTML files that are interlinked, and I want to create one big PDF from them.
I'm going in through Windows explorer, selecting all the files, right-click, and click on "combine in adobe acrobat"
it works very well, to combine them all.
the one problem I'm having is page breaks. there are page breaks in the middle of tables.
I have seen online a few references to using CSS style and something like this:
TABLE { PAGE-BREAK-INSIDE: avoid; }
but it seems to have no affect when I generate the PDF.
do I need a different tool to make this work? Does Acro 8 or 9 have it? should it work with 7?

This is primarily a HTML feature as I understand it. Acrobat simply provides a PDF just like any other printer and the HTML would have to be set to add page breaks on print as you suggest. This would be the same case as if you printed to paper. I am not sure it is possible, but that is what I would look for, not Acrobat options.

Javascript problem with HTML embed

I'm migrating a large existing site from Sitegrinder to Muse after converting several smaller sites without problem. Unfortunately this site has a javascript button that doesn't work at all. The button was created with the Object/Embed HTML feature, just as coding for several ads was placed in the same way. All the elements displayed properly in the Muse layout and in the browser preview, so I assumed that the code was being read correctly.
Unfortunately when I click the button on the deployed site, the message "Run script "getPianoDeals()" appears at the bottom of the browser window but nothing else happens. A pop-up window with localized info is supposed to show up. This button appears at the top of every page on a website of hundreds of pages.
I don't know Javascript, simply place the line of code provided to me. The button has always worked in the past. There's a lot going on in the pages so I don't know if there's a conflict or what to do about it. The site is at www.pianobuyer.com; the white button labeled "view local offers" in the top right corner is the problem. For reference I've reloaded the main pages of the old site at www.pianobuyer.com/Julie/ where the button functions correctly.

I've tried several things to sort out the problem.
I isolated the button on a separate layer (helpful with problems between drop-down menu bar and other HTML objects on a page) but it made no difference.
I then edited the HTML file, moving the relative position of the Muse javascript entries and the problem button script. No matter where the lines were placed, when the button script follows the Muse scripts it works fine; when the button script precedes the Muse scripts it does nothing. Also when the Muse scripts follows the button script the normal actions on the site works fine (drop-down menu bar, slide show); when the Muse scripts precedes the button script none of them work. So the conflict definitely occurs between the scripts.
I found two discussions on the forum about similar problems. Both refer to a "require.js" file being added to the page. Unfortunately I don't understand what's being discussed.

STYLE tag problem in HTML Parser.

Overprinting problem in HTML!!Urgent....

I am writing feedback reports for a computerised Liecencing Test.
The reports are written in 28 languages.The report created in a java file which renders an HTML output.In Russian,Polish and Greek languages there ia overpriting problem.Even when I create a print preview showing the output on a frame containing JTextPane ,it shows overlapped output.
Intresting as I select that overlapped text ,it becomes all right but
disappears as any key is pressed or mouse is clicked.

Oracle reports Page layout problem in HTML

Hi,
I am Using Oracle Reports6i to create my web reports. I found some problem with my reports page layout.
When I print my report from browser which is generated in html, it prints my first page's page number in begining of my second page and it continues in all pages disordering the report.
When I try to print from report builder It prints perfectly.
I want to know how do I control my page layout in html without asking user to set anything in browser each time they print.
Please try to help me with this.

Javascript problem in HTML version of XDP file

Hi All,
I have designed a XDP form in adobe livecycle desinger 7.0.
It has three pages and i have a page navigation custom control for navigation between the three pages.
From my application i am displaying this xdp form in HTML format.
my problem is that it loads only the first page. when i click on the next button a javascript error saying "this._peer" is not an object kind of error is thrown.
I made the event to run at both client and server. even if i change to run at server also its not working
Please help me in resolving this problem.

Problem reading html and rtf emails

When I send emails from my pc to my iPhone 5 in html or rtf format they are unreadable as all of the coding instructions are also included in the text when it appears on screen. This was never a problem with my iPhone 4 so I am not sure what has changed. I have a business contact who has had similar problems in the recent past with my emails so I know it is not just me.
I have tried sending html emails from other pc's in the office to my phone and they are all readable so perhaps it is something in the set up of my pc that is causing this issue. As my office is changing over to iPhone 5's does anybody have any solution to what will become a very annoyinmg problem.
Obviously I could send all of my emails in plain text but that doesn't really work for what I need to send, logo's / graphics etc.
