A question about SAP script

Consider a main window, can its width & length be changed/different with first page?

Most of the time main window in first page will have diffrent position and second page onwards it will have diffrent position .
one example :
sales order details - want to print layout form
requirement will be customer address should be in first page and body will be in first page and next page also.
first page - we will print customer address and body
next page onwards we will not print customer address and main window will have more space ,so here we need assign diffrent position.

Hi all experts! I have a question concerning sap script
First some background information:
Ive created a sap script that is called from a function module and from an executable program, when I run the executable program the sap script work fine, but when I run the function module, all the variables in the sap script dont have value
In the function module the variables are defined in the top include
I dont know why these variables dont take his value from the function module
Any ideas?

I think that sapscript expects its variables to be in the program which calls the fm <b>by default</b>. When you test via SE37 the framework itself is the calling program and it's unlikely that it will have a variable named kunnr-name1.
To over-ride this default, inside your fm pass the 'options' parameter(type itcpo) to 'open_form' and set the 'tdprogram' value to sy-repid in the function module.
I have tested this in my own environemnt and initially got the same error as you. When I set the tdprogram variable it started working!

Some questions about SAP esourcing

Hi expert,
I have one question about SAP eSourcing. In RFQ document, before RFQ award is published, our customer do not want the price of RFx response disclosed to collaborators. After the award is published, the price can be released to collaborators. As I know, we can use page customization to hide page field. But the price is collection field. So I failed to use page customization to hide it.
Pls advise me how to realize it.

3 important questions about SAP HANA

Hello Community!
I have got 3 important questions about SAP HANA.
1.
- Our Company has all up about 150 SAP - Systems.
- 12 Systems are ERP-Systems.
=> We consider about SAP HANA at the moment.
=> Is it possible to put all the 12 ERP-Systems in ONE SAP HANA or do I need one seperate HANA for each ERP-System?
=> If it is possible, can you tell me the disadvantages when I use 1 HANA for the 12 ERP-Systems.
=> Is there a Storage-Limit in the HANA (I think no, because of 64 bit).
=> Can I still make realtime-analytics with 1 HANA for 12 SAP Systems?
2.
=> Can I run ONE HANA with different non-SAP-Systems?
3.
=> Is there a Demo-Center from SAP or IBM, where I can test and see the HANA before I buy it?
(I do not mean the Fujitsu TDS Demo Center)

There are no disadvantages as of now.. improve existing planning, forecasting, pricing
optimization and other processes

There is no limit on Stotrage: You need check how much Data you need on RAM (Real time processing) Storage.Minimum you can buy is 64 GB and multiple of it for (RAM)

YEs you can run HANA for 3rd party S/W or non-sap systems for your real time anlytics.
It has ODBC and JDBC both and you can combine it with other systems.

I have a question about calculation script 'Fix'. Below is the sample for my question:
Dimension 'Period' has members '2009','2010','2011'. We want to Fix the data which 'Period' is not '2009'.
From Database Administrator's Guide we could use @NOTEQUAL, but version 11.1.1.3.0 seems not support @NOTEQUAL.
Actually, the dimension is dynamic so we cannot use the way fixing other memebers. What should I do for this requirement?

Question about SAP client setting when create new connection in CR2008

Dear All,
I have a question about SAP client setting in Crystal Report 2008 when I try to create a new connection use SAP OpenSQL(SAP Table,Cluster,or Function).
I have a SAP IDES environment with 5 clients.
While I try to create a CR standard report use SAP OpenSQL, I entered 800 into Client field in u201CUser logon credentialsu201D. The connection can be created and I can get table list. After I built a report ,I can not get data from IDES client 800, but I can get data from client 000.
I am sure client 800 has data.I checked client 800 table with Tcord se16.
I also did other tests and felt confused a lot.
Even inexistent client, such as u201C00u201Dand u201C8000u201D can be used for creating connection.
I just want to know how can I get data from client 800.

I am not sure about your suggestion clearly. What's your mean all the authorizations to use CR?
Maybe I should clarify my operations.
I logon CR2008 as administrator and created two SAP connections with different client.
There is a table named "/BEV3/CHBALLG" be showed in these connections.
I checked clients "000" and "800" both have data in the table.
I can use client 000 connection create report and get right data, but the report base on client 800 connection could not get data.
If change to another table,such as "/SAPDMC/LSOFIL", I can get data both form these connections.
I found one thing is very weird. Client "00" and "8000" do not exist in my IDES environment, but I can use them for creating connection.
May I have your further suggestions?

All I can see at help.sap.com is IDES (the model company created by SAP)and the WWW-version of the SAP-Bibliothek.

Hi all
I am trying to understand more about SAP Support packages. Can anyone please help me to answer the following questions.
1. How do we find out waht version of Support package currently installed on our system. ( e.g what command or transaction provides this info).
2. How do we find the latest support pack available from SAP?
3.   Do we have to apply support pack to each component or to each module e.t.c
    ( Any command or tranaction....)
4. What is a differnce between SAP kernel support pack and SAP Note.
5. Is it requirement to apply support package from SAP solutaion manager or can also be applied throught transaction

Go to Txn SPAM --> Click on Package Level --> Check the level against SAP_BASIS or SAP_ABA

There will be support packs for each component like SAP_BASIS,SAP_ABA,SAP_BW .. etc and you can apply them through SPAM.
4. What is a differnce between SAP kernel support pack and SAP Note.
Kernels are central program that are required to run SAP system and these programs reside in OS level.Kernel support pack means correction to these cental programs .There is no transaction for this.You can replace the existing files with the new one ( in simple words ) . SAP note means correction to SAP programs , more than one SAP note is called a Support pack and Note can be implemented using SNOTE and Support packs using SPAM
5. Is it requirement to apply support package from SAP solutaion manager or can also be applied throught transaction
Now you need Solution Manager to download Support packs from SMP.You can apply SPs in the target system without using Solman.

In SAP, is it possible:
1. To have "Amount Only Requisitions", that is, specify requisitions that enable requesters to order goods and services specifying only a dollar amount and not quantity.
2. Reopen Closed Requisitions and Purchase Orders, that is, re-open ANY previously closed requisition or purchase order, not only those from the last batch of the Close

1) One of the Key building blogs will be the SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1. Its provides the ES Repository for Service Metadata and the ES Registry for the Service Endpoints. The Registry you use for finding and classifcation of your services. Any yes XI/PI could be used as ESB.
Another keybuilding block is the SAP NetWeaver Composition Enviroment 7.1. This one is used at Design and Runtime for Composite Process, Composite Views and Composite Application which consume Enterprise Services.
2) WS-Poilcy, WS-Adressing and BPEL is defenetly supported with PI 7.1(release planned for september 2007)
3) This a part of the NetWeaver Composition Enviroment. For Monitoring you need brokered Service communication... in this case you can use PI as integration Broker which is able to monitor your communication.
4) Exacutable Business Process(BPEL) are supported by PI 7.1
You are able to Design these processes with the Design tools of the PI.
For Highlevel Process modeling ARIS for SAP Netweaver is integrated.
So from High Level Process models drill down to theService Operations are all part of the Enterprise Service Repository and can be used to realise you business tasks.
5) SAP provide the ES Workplace and SAP Discovery System for Enterprise SOA

To create a logo in SAP printouts just do the following
1. Save a Logo using Imaging, Paint shop Pro or Corel Draw as Tiff file.
2. Run program RSTXLDMC and enter the following parameters
Enter file name C:\COMPLOGO.TIF
UOM CM
Line width for text 132
Text name ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO
Text ID ST
Text language = E
Number of Tiff gray levels (2,4,9) 2
3. Then Create a new window 'COMP' with attributes;
Window COMP description Company Logo
Left margin 7.00 CH window width 10.00 CH
Upper margin LN window height 8.00 LN
Finally in the text element, mention
/: INCLUDE 'ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO' OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE 'E'.
Please note that if object name is not indicated as 'ZHEX... the logo may not be printed!
You will not be able to see the logo in a test print. The same will be printed in actual printout.
SMARTFORM
1) In Smart Forms Editor, In left pane, right Click any Page (say Page1) and select Create -> Window, Give it a name and Description (Say Window1)
2) Right Click on Window (Window 1) and select Create -> Graphics, Give it a name and description
3) In general Attributes, Select Name, get search help (F4) , you will find a list of pictures
4) Select any picture and set its Resolution in DPI
5) Press F9 to open Smart Forms Builder, Select window (Window1) and In Output options window set, size and position of the Logo
6) Set any other parameters if required, save and activate.
7) If there is only 1 Window in the forms, set it as Main Window in general attributes.
8) Use TCode SE78 to upload new pictures and logos.

We have the same situation for PO SAPScript. In fact we have logos stored based on "Company code" and "Profit center" conbination. So, we maintains on Z table with "company code' and "profit center" being key and store Logo, object, ID, color and DPI.
You can also use the solution no 2. It is easy to implement. An in future if you add company code, just add entry in Z table, rest will work.

Question about multiple Script declarations

I'm reading Flash Builder 4 and Flex 4 Bible.
On page 121 it states:
"Any particular <fx:Script> element can contain nested ActionScript or use the source property to link to an external Actionscript file, but it cannot do both at the same time. You can, however, have as many <Script> declarations in a single MXML file as you need>"
My questions are about the last sentence.
1) They specifically used <fx:Script> and <Script>. Are these two different entities?
2) I've never seen examples of using multiple <fx:Script> declarations in a project. How would this work?
3) Are they promoting bad practices by making this claim?

IF I understood you right, you have stored in one text, three differente kind of information, and you want to split it and print in three different windows. That's it?
If so, you can do this using PERFORM statement in script. So you can define 3 fields, and in the first window call this perform and populate them. This form will use FM READ_TEXT to separate it for you. Like:
In script:

Question about simple script?

Hello,
I would like to write a small program/script and am looking for advice on how to do so. I do not have a preference about which method or language to use, hopefully looking for the simplest way to do this (if it works with Windows or DOS command line this is
preferable).
I have a program that runs on text files e.g. "program file1.txt file2.txt"
I have 20 folders that each have 5-10 text files. I want to automatically get the name of the largest size text file from each of the 20 folders, and then run the program on these 20 files as described above.
Ideally I could point my script to a folder, and it will automatically find the largest .txt file in each of the subdirectories and run "program file1.txt file2.txt file3.txt ..."
Any ideas on how to most efficiently accomplish this? Ideas or links to tutorials if applicable are helpful.

What I am doing is actually running a perl wrapper that calls a java program, so my command looks something like this and it works fine if I enter multiple full path file names without quotes:
perl Program C:\Folder1\Subfolder1\file1.txt C:\Folder1\Subfolder2\file2.txt C:\Folder1\Subfolder3\file3.txt
The script as you described above does exactly what I am hoping for. For the $Path variable, I would like to either
1) have this script begin from the directory that is it run from so if I copied it to C:\Folder1\ then it would run the command as shown above, or
2) allow for a parameter to be passed to it with the path of the directory to begin from e.g. "powershellscript.ps C:\Folder1"
How would I go about doing this?
So I believe the last line of this script would be:
perl Program ($Results -join " ")
Does this make sense? If so I will give it a try. Thanks again.
