A table "CMP3$111448" appears in DB replicating a big table and spending a lot of space in database

We have a web application which manages digital documents,
its main table is named "DOC_ADJUNTO", this table has a column "DOCUMENTO" of type BLOB and some other columns.
Also there is an Oracle Text Index for the BLOB column of the table "DOC_ADJUNTO"; its definition as follow:
    CREATE INDEX IDX_DOC_ADJUNTO_DOCUMENTO ON DOC_ADJUNTO (DOCUMENTO) INDEXTYPE IS CTXSYS.CONTEXT PARAMETERS('Sync (on commit)') NOPARALLEL;
Just a week ago, a new table "CMP3$111448" appeared in database.
The table "CMP3$111448" replicates the structure of table "DOC_ADJUNTO" and its Oracle Text Index, so it is spending a lot of space for the tablespace and backups for whole database.
One difference between the two tables is that "DOC_ADJUNTO" table has 136.782 rows, and "CMP3$111448" only has 107.380 rows.
I have the following questions about this fact:
    a) Why the table "CMP3$111448" appeared?
    b) Can I just drop the table "CMP3$111448" to reclaim back the space? ¿Will not materialize a negative effect?
    c) If I drop the table "CMP3$111448", will a similar table appear again? If yes, how can I avoid it happens?
I really would appreciate a little of feedback before I take an action to get back the space.
Regards

I've got a similar mystery table that appears structurally identical to a table with some LOB columns.  Same owner.  The shadow/copy/mystery table has far fewer rows.
CMP3$160860 has  12193 rows, the "real" table, fatal_error_log, has  109589 rows.
I also would like to drop this table to reclaim space ...  but I wonder if it is somehow being used by Oracle in some transient shadow kind of way.  Maybe it is left over from an incomplete shutdown/startup where this table wasn't completely flushed or something.
We're also on 11.2.0.4 RDBMS.  Running on Sun Solaris.  Not using Toplink nor any java features (also of course Oracle is probably using some java in the db.)
If you learn anything about it, please share!
Thanks.

    I created a book in iBooks Author using the Photo Book template. When I rotate to portrait orientation, the photo or widget disappears and a table of contents appears with only the interactive media showing.

    Thanx for the prompt response, KT. I have indeed seen that thread, only just after I posted the question.
    I have spent hours on the phone with what I now know is a call center in Texas on this question.
    I think Apple could be a little more "hands on" with iBooks Author users, and it should also be pointed out that landscape photos will not display in portrait mode.
    In my case, I used gallery widgets to display vertical photos, since they look better in portrait mode.
    But instead of simply rotating, the page disappears and a TOC of interactive media appears. The gallery behaves as expected when tapped. This is not what I expected, but since the gallery works, I can live with it.
    Right now I have "tickets" telling me to "fix" this "problem or to disable portrait mode.
    I don't want to disable portrait mode.
    Will Apple accept the books if I tell them this is not an "error?"

  • Table Control Icon appearing  in Personal Data in ESS in Portal

    Hello All,
    We are on SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 SPS09 with version details as
    J2EE Engine 6.40 PatchLevel 87289.311
    Portal 6.0.9.0.0
    After installation of Portal system we installed Business Package for
    Employee Self-Service 4.6C - 4.7 on our Portal system and installed ITS
    6.20 patch 22 over Portal inorder for connecting Portal with Backend R/3 system.Ours is a development serverand Portal application and ITS are installed
    on the same server.
    When we access ESS on Portal ,and navigate to Personal Information /Personal Data / , there a small table control icon appears which we donot want to appear and which does not appear on R/3 side.Simultaneously for this transaction in R3 a selection row appears which doesnot appear in Portal.This problem is given even when we run ESS transactions through ITS on webgui.Wt might be the cause of this error ,do we need to make any settings ( Table specific) in ITS or R/3  or somewhere else. Kindly plz suggest.Plz revert at earliest.My email Id is [email protected] .

  • Why same fields appearing more than once in a Table like EKPO , KNA1 ???

    hi ,
    in SAP IDES version u will see :
    In EKPO table : Two fields MATNR and EMATNR having same spec. and
    showing same redundant data in IDES version .
    IN KNA1 table : NAME1 field appears twice ...
    why so ? any utilities / Reason ????

    HI,
    kna1 is customer master table.
    now 1 customer can have 2 names like 1 official and one nick name or 2 persons or brothers who are given only 1 customer no kunnr by their vendor.
    these things are done by seeing all the business scenarios.
    now in table EKPO
    MATNR IS PRODUCT NO
    EMATNR IS MATERIAL NO.
    now there is a difference between product and material.
    a material can be a raw material semi finished or finished good,but a product is always a material which is been purchased through the purchase order from the vendor.
    the matnr is essentially the final stage of the product by the vendor.
    in many cases these contain same data but there are a lot of cases when these things worry.
    if you have accesss to your production system then you can check there.
    thanks
    reward if helpful

  • Table doesn't appear

    LiveCycle ES2 v9.0. I have put a table in my form - fixed size. Some of the cells contain plain text, some drop-down lists. The table does not appear in Preview PDF or when I Publish to Repository and view in Acrobat. The table does appear when I print the document. Why is this happening?
    Graham

    Hi Miller,
    I had gone through your form. When i "ungroup section" all the sections that are grouped, i'm able to see the able. I'm afraid that following is the reason why the table has not appeared before ungrouping:
    1) Your table structure is wrong. Currently your table structure is as follows:
    <Table>
        HeaderRow0
        Row1[0]
       HeaderRow1
        HeaderRow2
        Row1[1]
        Row1[2]
    </Table>
    You can have multiple Header Rows in a single table provided the Header Rows should be immediate to eachother and should be grouped as one. You can't have a Header Row a Body Row place multiple times between eachother.
    If you wish to have multiple Header Rows, then you should create nested table (table within table). The possible structure in that case would be as follows:
    <Table0>
         <Table1>
             HeaderRow0
             Row1[0]
         </Table1>
         <Table2>
            HeaderRow1  (Group HR1 and HR2)
             HeaderRow2
             Row1[1]
             Row1[2]
    </Table2>
    </Table0>
    So, you need to restructure your table.
    Please feel free to ask me in case of any queries.
    Thanks,
    VJ

  • HT2480 My e-mail, exchange account, on iphone, displays an out of date signature.  My Outlook displays the correct signature but this does not appear to have replicated to my iphone.

    My e-mail, exchange account, on iphone, displays an out of date signature.  My Outlook displays the correct signature but this does not appear to have replicated to my iphone.  The standard signature still says "sent from my iphone" which is fine but I need desperately to change the exchange signature as the office address is incorrect.

    I have already tried that and this doesn't work.  The signature is pulling incorrectly from exchange but I don't know how.

  • Query small set of record in a big table.

    Hi,
    in 11.2.0.2 i've a table with about 2milions of record.
    I use a query that like:
    select *
    FROM DOC
    WHERE INDENTIF = 1001 AND TRASF = 0;
    to identify new record in the table (TRASF=0).
    INDENTIF column contains 5 distinct key and TRASF can be 0,1,2
    SELECT COUNT (*), INDENTIF , TRASF
    FROM DOC
    BY INDENTIF, TRASF
    COUNT     IDENTIF     TRASF
    9           1004          2
    1359        1005          1
    1           1001          2
    306859      1004          1
    767090      1002         1
    2           1002         2
    782981      1001         1
    There is an index on INDENTIF , TRASF but oracle uses full scan.
    Stats are available.
    Every time i check for new record it perform a full scan also
    if there aren't new record.
    Is there a method to use an index without use hint?
    Thank you

    seeing the results from dba_tab_cols_statistics I think it could be a problem with TRASF and the sample_size: there are two known values (I assume 1 and 2) but only one bucket. For a value not included into the histogram the calculation of selectivity may bring very high results since 10.2.0.4: http://jonathanlewis.wordpress.com/2009/04/23/histogram-change/: "If the value you supply does not appear in the histogram, but is inside the low/high range of the histogram then the cardinality will be half the cardinality of the least frequently occurring value that is in the histogram." For a value outside the known range the result will be smaller, but may still be much too high. Perhaps you can give as the plans for:
    select *
    FROM DOC
    WHERE TRASF = 0;

  • How to Slice big table in chunks

    I am trying to derive a piece of generic logic that would cut in chunks of definite size any big table. The goal is to perform update in chunks and avoid rollback too small issues. The full table scan on the update is unavoidable, since the update target every row of the table.
    The BIGTABLE has 63 millions rows. The purpose of the bellow SQL to give the ROWID every two million rows. So I am using the auto row numering field 'rownum' and perfrom a test to see I could. I expected the fist chunk to have 2 millons rows but in fact it is not the case:
    Here is the code +(NOTE I had many problems with quotes, so some ROWID appears without their enclosing quotes or they disappear from current output here)+:
    select rn, mod, frow, rownum from (
        select rowid rn ,  rownum frow, mod(rownum, 2000000) mod

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
    You can install the new hard disk yourself if you want to. You just need a 2'5" SATA II hard drive, which is compatible with your MacBook Pro. You can buy one at OWC > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/hard-drives/2.5-Notebook/ You can filter hard drives by computer, so press a "Click to view all...", choose your computer in the sidebar and it will give you the compatible hard drives.
    There are different brands for the MacBook Pro. The most recommended are HGST and Seagate, which have good reputation. A 7200 rpm hard drive will give you extra performance

    When trying to update  Apps in iTunes on my computer my old Apple ID appears, which is no longer in use and has no password; even when I try to create a password for this Old ID, Apple won't let me. When I go into see my Account settings My new Apple ID / iTunes ID are listed and the passwords are correct obviously so why can't I update my Apps?   Why does my Old apple ID keep appearing and how can I get Apple to change this?

    I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
    The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account.  I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there.  On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back.  Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email.  The device is currently useless.
    The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
    Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

  • When I open Iphoto, I see all my photos for a second and then they disappear and only a white dotted box appears.  Then I click on it and for photos is a triangle with an exclamation point.  It doesn't happen to all but quite a lot. how to I get them back

    Have you recently deleted photos using the finder or run clean up software?  Is so restore your backup
    If not the backup your iPhoto Library and launch iPhoto while depressing the option and command keys. Rebuild your database

    Thank you

    So it seems from reading the COMMAND manual that my first issue is that I used a 16GB SD card, and the manual says it will only recogize up to a 2GB SD card. I did use my MB Air's SD card slot and crated a folder and dragged the music files to it, then to the card. So I am going to get a 2GB card and try that next. Otherwise just stick with the iPOD connected. At least that is 8GB

    Hi there terri900!
    You may want to try configuring your router settings to match the recommended settings for iOS and OS X devices, which can be found here:

  • I appear to have two separate Apple IDs and have purchased music under both.  Is there any way to consolidate the accounts into one?

    I appear to have two separate Apple IDs and to have purchased music under both of them (one is my husband's email account, the other is mine).  Is there a way to consolidate them, or is it possible to make the purchases made under two separte IDs downloadable on the same device(s)?

    Not at this time. There is no way to merge two Apple IDs or be signed into the iTunes Store with more than one Apple ID at a time on an iOS device. However, you can USB sync the music to more than one device at a time, no problem. As long as all the music is on the same computer.

  • Hi, when I upload music into itunes from a cd it sometimes appears in itunes as two different albums and split up the music in 2 or even three albums....how can i merge these albums...this is particularly true when one album may have different composers?

    Hi, when I upload music into itunes from a cd it sometimes appears in itunes as two different albums and split up the music in 2 or even three albums....how can i merge these albums...this is particularly true when one album may have different composers?

    Generally setting a common Album title and Album Artist will fix things.
    For compilations that aren't, select all tracks, Get Info, and on the option tab set Part of a Compilation to No. If it already says No tick the box alongside, then click OK.
    For deeper problems see Grouping tracks into albums.
