Abandened Transactions during Load test

          Hi Guys,
We are frequently seeing the following trace message in Weblogic console as attached
          at the end of mail.
Actually we are conducting a load test for a JMS based applications running on
Weblogic server 6.1 sp4. The test stubs are spawning multiple threads and sending
both synchronous and asynchronous messages. During the course of tests we are
not getting any application specific error. Please let us know as to how we can
track root cause of these abandened transactions.

During a two phase commit of a transaction, the coordinator
will try to do the second phase commit operation for each
participant for 24 hours (you can configure this
time period using the "AbandonTimeoutSeconds" attribute of JTAMBean ).
If it fails to complete the commit by then, it logs this message and
          abandons
          the transaction.
I'm not sure why it can't complete the transaction.

  • Unable to capture the D4OSESSION during LOAD testing??

    Hi,
    Summary:
---------- I am doing the performance testing of the 50 concurrent users using one of the third party load test tool. But that tool is not able to capture the opening workbook sessions.
    Detail
----------- Normally when I open a D4O session in the URL from the client machine in the database I saw the 3 sessions in v$session table.
    2 sessions from Application Server.
    1 Session from client machine.
the protocol that I used to open the D4OSession is HTTP
When I Choose any workbook from the opened d4osession in the V$session table the session from the client machine status becomes active.
so for the single d4o session oracle opening 3 session in the database.
Under this calculation I try to record the session for the performance testing using one of the third party tool called QA LOAD. I am unable to record all the 3 session,
I am able to record the application server sessions only ie.2 session ,but I am unable to record the session from Client machine.(User session is coming only when I opens the workbook)
I am not able to understand why the tool is not able understand d4osession protocol??
What could be the problem. Why I am not able to capture the d4osession when I opens the workbook.???? . Without using the tool I can able to see the all 3 sessions.
Actually the goal is to do a performance testing for 50 concurrent users. Its very difficult to do performance testing without a performance test tool...
Normally this tool can understand all kind of javabased application,Microsoft applications but I am not sure why it won't understand part of the d4osessions???
Even when I ry to capture this opening workbook session using winsock protocol also...but no luck!!!!.
    Any advice/ Idea....Please post it !!!!
    Eg: ---------------
    Details of the d4o session
    ---------------------------- d4osession user : user1
    Workbook name : workbook1
    URL : http://applicationserver:7778/discoverer/plus?us=user1&lm=olap......
    Browser : Internet Explorer 6.0
    Database : Oracle 10G
Discoverer plus for olap : 10.1.2.48
Load Test tool : QA LOAD
    Database OS : Linux
    Application Server OS : Windows.
    Thanks,

  • Threads get stuck during load test

    Hi,
We are running some stress tests and receive some warnings about threads getting
    stuck.
My question is regarding the warning itseld, how can I know from the warning string
    what was the thread doing.
We got two kinds of warnings:
    1) Warnings regarding "null" requests, which look more or a less like this:
    <Jan 19, 2004 8:23:59 PM GMT> <Warning> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000337> <ExecuteThread:
'117' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default' has been busy for "1,411" seconds working
on the request "null", which is more than the configured time (StuckThreadMaxTime)
    of "600" seconds.>
    2) Warnings regarding "ConnectionXXX.SessionYYY", which look like this:
    <Jan 15, 2004 6:12:15 AM CST> <Warning> <WebLogicServer><BEA-000337> <ExecuteThread:
'9' for queue:'weblogic.kernel.Default' has been busy for "707" seconds working
on the request "connection72.session501", which is more than the configured time
    (StuckThreadMaxTime) of "600" seconds.>
Does anyone know what is the meaning of this part of the warning?
    TIA,
    Lior

    Hi,
Thanks for the explanation. My question was regarding the fomrat of the warning
    message.
Can I find out what was the thread doing according to the <request "null"> or
<request "ConnectionXXX.SessionYYY"> which appear in the warning?

Does anyone know what is the meaning of this part of the warning?Basically it means that given threads spent time processing requests
that exceeded configured threshold (600 second is a default value).
When it happens, weblogic signals this situation with the warnings
above. It's done to notify about potential exhausting of execute threads.
If the request processing times above are normal, you need to increase
the threshold to eliminate these messages. If not, you may want to find
out why it's taking so long.
Let me know if you have more questions.

  • Texts not replicating during loads

    Hi All,
I am doing initial loads for sales transactions from ECC 6.0 to CRM 5.0. The transactions are loading perfectly with all the partner details product details but not the header and item level text.
When i create a new transaction either in ECC or in CRM with header and item level text the texts are replicating fine. Which means my access sequences are correct. But i am not able to replicate the text that are existing with the transactions during loads. Am i missing any configuration step in mapping these texts?
I am facing this problem with all the transactions Inquiries/Quotations/Standard orders.
    Please advice.
    Thanks in advance,
    Karuna.

    Hi Karuna,
Check for the filters because the system does not transfer texts if filtering is activated in the R/3 system. Reffer to the oss Note 720147 - Download: Texts not transferred.

  • Error during loading of transaction data: An RFC call-up triggered the ...

    Dear Sirs,
during loading of master data from a 4.6C SAP system to BI 7.0 SP9 I get the following error during processing (data packet).
<i>"An RFC call-up triggered the exception (ID: RSAR NO: 503) "</i>
The strange thing with this error is that it emerged today, after successfully loading master data and a subset of transaction data yesterday from same source system.
Has anyone else come across this error, and can tell us where we should look for a possible solution? (or a better error explaination).
The RFC connections works fine when testing in SM59, and was functioning yesterday. No relevant dumps in either system.

    Hi folks,
I am also interested in this error.
    Thanks.

And in Debug tag I am getting the following errors:
    *"<disconnected>org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.Main at localhost:59115"*
I am working with OATS on company network and also I am using the correct proxy setting(confirmed). When i tried recording a company internal web application(No Proxy Required) its still giving same proxy errors.
Error results are always changeing when I change my Port No. for proxy setting (Default Port No for my network is 8080).
For port No 8080 following error is displayed result tab:
*"Failed     HTTP response code: 407 Proxy Authentication Required ( Access is denied. )      "*
For port no 7777 & 443 following error is displayed in the result tab: (Have changed the proxy server address to "xyz"):
*Failed     The attempt to connect to the server xyzproxy.xyz.com on port 7777 failed.*
*Comparable WinInet error code: Error 12029: ERROR_INTERNET_CANNOT_CONNECT. Caused by: java.net.ConnectException occurred. Error Message:Connection timed out: connect*
I have just disabled the cookies from my script, no other changes have been made(no parametrization and no correlation as of now).
I have tried everything with port numbers and also with Playback settings in openscript preference for proxy, tried to playback the script with proxy, without proxy for both the type of applications, company internal and external but still the same errors.
Anyone please suggest me a solution to this problem.
    Thanks,
    Abhi.

    Hi,
I think your password is encrypted. Try replace password "a99fad1866af01d9375627d5d08d7f1c11ed4d3f6d5d2372d40908884a15b8e6" with your password.
    Or Get output of obfuscate("your password") and replace "a99fad1866af01d9375627d5d08d7f1c11ed4d3f6d5d2372d40908884a15b8e6" with {{@deobfuscate( output of obfuscate("your password") )}}

  • FORMS CRASHES (FRM-92101) ON AS 10.1.2.0.2 DURING LOAD PERFORMANCE TESTING

    Hiya
We have been doing Load Performance Testing using testing tool QALoad on our Forms 10g application. After about 56 virtual users(sessions) have logged-in into our application, if a new user tries to log-in into our application, the Forms crashes. As soon as we encounter the FRM-92101 error, no more new forms session are able to start.
The Load Testing software start up each process very quickly, about every 10 seconds.
The very first form that appears is the login form of our application. So before the login screen appears, we get FRM-92101 error message.
However, those users who have already logged-in into our application, they are able to carry on their tasks.
We are using Application Server 10g 10.1.2.0.2. I have checked the status on Application Server through Oracle Enterprise Manager Console. The OC4J Instance is up and running. Also, server's configuration is pretty good. It is running on 2 CPUs (AMD Opteron 3GHz) and has 32GB of memory. The memory used by those 56 sessions is less than 3GB.
The Applicatin Server is running on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 64bit Enterprise Edition.
Any help will be much appreciated.
    Cheers

    Hi Shekhawat
    In Windows Registry go to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SubSystems
In the right hand side panel, you will find String Value as Windows. Now double click on it (Windows). In the pop up window you will see a string similar to the following one:
    %SystemRoot%\system32\csrss.exe ObjectDirectory=\Windows SharedSection=1024,20480,768 Windows=On SubSystemType=Windows ServerDll=basesrv,1 ServerDll=winsrv:UserServerDllInitialization,3 ServerDll=winsrv:ConServerDllInitialization,2 ProfileControl=Off MaxRequestThreads=16
Now if you read it carefully in the above string, you will find this parameter
    SharedSection=1024,20480,768
Here SharedSection specifies the system and desktop heaps using the following format:
    SharedSection=xxxx,yyyy,zzzz
    The default values are 1024,3072,512
All the values are in Kilobytes (KB)
xxxx = System-wide Heapsize. There is no need to modify this value.
yyyy = IO Desktop Heapsize. This is the heap for memory objects in the IO Desktop.
zzzz = Non-IO Desktop Heapsize. This is the heap for memory objects in the Non-IO Desktop.
On our server the values were as follows :
    1024,20480,768
We changed the size of Non-IO desktop heapsize from 768 to 5112. With 5112 KB we managed to test our application for upto 495 virtual users.

  • Load Test Results - time series request data for by URL in VS2013

I am trying to figure out how to export and then analyze the results of a load test, but after the test is over it seems I cannot find the data for each individual request by url. This data shows during the load test itself, but after it is over it seems
as if that data is no longer accessible and all I can find are totals. The data that I want is under the "Page response time" graph on the graphs window during the test. I know this is not the response time for every single request and is probably
averaged, but that would suffice for the calculations I want to make.
I have looked in the database on my local machine (LoadTest2010, where all of the summary data is stored) and I cannot find the data I'm looking for.
My goal is to plot (probably in excel) each request url against the user load and analyze the slope of the response time averages to determine which requests scale the worst (and best). During the load test I can see this data and get a visual idea but when
it ends I cannot seem to find it to export.
    A) Can this data be exported from within visual studio? Is there a setting required to make VS persist this data to the database? I have, from under Run Settings, the "Results" section "Timing Details Storage" set to "All individual
details" and the Storage Type set to "Database".
    B) If this data isn't available from within VS, is it in any of the tables in the LoadTest2010 database where all of the summary data is stored?
    Thanks
    Luke

    Hi Luke,
Since the load test is used to
simulate many users accessing a server at the same time, it is mainly verify a wev server load stress.
As you said that you want to find the data
for each individual request by url, I know that generally we can analyze the url request from the Summary like the following screen shot.
    >>I
have looked in the database on my local machine (LoadTest2010, where all of the summary data is stored) and I cannot find the data I'm looking for.
I suggest you can try to add the
SQL Tracing Connect String in the Run Setting properties to trace the data.

In addition, you can try to create an excel to analyze the load test result, for more information:

    Hope it help you!

  • How can I do the load test for EBS 11i

    Dear Suport
    I start to try OATS.
I have used a Openscript to record the functional test and it works fine for EBS 11i.
However, I cannot directly use the script from Functional Test. Is there have any ways to convert the Functional Testing script to Load Testing script?
Since the fail of using functional script, I create a new Load Testing script in Openscript and record what I do in functional test. However, I got the below error when I record the script.

However, the file, formsRecorder.jar, will be deleted when record the test by openscript. (Antivirus too is disabled during record the script).
Do you have any idea for record the Load Testing script by Openscript?

  • Master Data/transactional Data Loading Sequence

I am having trouble understanding the need to load master data prior to transactional data.  If you load transactional data and there is no supporting master data, when you subsequently load the master data, are the SIDs established at that time, or will then not sync up?
I feel in order to do a complete reload of new master data, I need to delete the data from the cubes, reload master data, then reload transactional data.  However, I can't explain why I think this.
    Thanks,  Keith

Different approach is required for different scenario of data target.  Below are just two scenarios out of many possibilities.
    Scenario A:
Data target is a DataStore Object, with the indicator 'SIDs Generation upon Activation' is set in the DSO maintenance
    Using DTP for data loading.
The following applies depending on the indicator 'No Update without Master Data' in DTP:
    - If the indicator is set, the system terminates activation if master data is missing and produces an error message.
    - If the indicator is not set, the system generates any missing SID values during activation.
    Scenario B:
Data target has characteristic that is determined using transformation rules/update rules by reading master data attributes.
If the attribute is not available during the data load to data target, the system writes initial value to the characteristic.
When you reload the master data with attributes later, you need to delete the previous transaction data load and reload it, so that the transformation can re-determine the attributes values that writes to the characteristics in data target.
    Hope this help you understand.

  • Whats the best way to load test?

So our app is ready for prime time and we are concerned about response times whether we will survive 100 simultaneous users.
It would be additionally useful if I knew how many users we could tolerate simulataneously.
I attempted running jmeter but I didn't spend a lot of time with it and it didn't overwhelm me with information.
I get the sense that I would probably have to spend a couple weeks to really create useful, valid test simulations which I didn't have time for.
Also, is it even legitimate? The fact that it is one single machine trying to simulate a hundred users on distributed machines?
So, I really lacked a lot of confidence in my test.
In fantasyland it would be great, if say there were some distributed google cloud machines that could simulate 100 users and start firing away at my app.
Starting at 10 users and ramping up until no longer responsive and then providing those results.
The fact is I don't have a lot of experience with this and would appreciate insight.
Also, it just occurred to me that this is an internal app inaccessible from outside the organization.
Does anyone have something they might consider the holy grail of load testing or good advice? Thx.

If you have money to spend, I would recommend using Oracle's Application Test Suite (ATS) since it is the only test tool I know of that allows you to create a functional test and then convert it to a load test. The capabilities of this tool are pretty amazing considering that it is a single tool where the go to toolset in the past was Win Runner / Load Runner. With Win Runner, you needed 50 machines (or VMs) if you wanted to generate front end load for 50 users. With ATS, you record a script with your browser, and then convert it into a load test. You can adjust things like think time, ramp up time, sustained load, etc.
What a lot of people miss is that testing tools can be used indefinitely, not just for getting through a migration. If you script your tests appropriately (which means that your user base trusts them), you can use them for every code release because it takes very little effort to run a test script. On top of that, you can set up strategically placed machines around your network that are set up to run a specific test script (think of a common transaction) so that performance metrics can be captured. I worked for a company that had 160 locations around the world and we used our testing tool as a performance monitor in the locations with the worst performance. Having a tool allowed us to see whether our performance issues were related to network, database, app servers, etc. This took the burden of explaining performance issues off of the users. Most users can't really articulate what the problems are anyway (and they aren't expected to).
If budget is an issue, you can use JMeter from Apache, which will give you the load testing capability but you will miss out on the excellent reporting and management capabilities of the Oracle Application Test Suite.
