ABAP Add-on Toolkit

We have a need to order the ABAP Add-on Toolkit but I cannot figure out who to contact or how to order online. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

This bug is infuriating! I have had it (and reported it) twice now.
The way around it is to install the 3.0 original Add On and then upgrade to the 3.0 SP1 version.
This is the way I did it at a client recently:
Add On Installation
3.0 Add On AOI B600020610634_0000011.PAT u2013 password 8281CA33B6
3.0 SP1 Add On AOU B600020610634_0000022.PAT u2013 password F2F4C333B1
Transport Installation
Then imported transport VSN301_TPO_ECC6_AOI.zip (control file and data file).

ABAP Add-on certification on sub-contractor system

Hi all,
My company has some ABAP Add-on, which was developed for us by an outsourcing contractor on his system based on our design and instructions.
This Add-on and all code sources are our property of course.
Now we wish to certify this ABAP Add-on on our contractor system but the certification needs to be on our company name of course since this is our property.
How can perform such a process?

Register ABAP Add-On in SLD

We have developed an ABAP add-on (AAK/Saint).
Our add-on is supposed to register itself in the SLD, but we do not know what this means. Is there some metainformation we need to provide along with the add-on, or even some interface we need to implement to provide this information.
Our systems are coupled with the SLD but we do not find our add-on when we install our product.
Any idea?

We have used another library for delpoying it, with this it is working.

The steps we carried out are-
1) Created File1.PAT file by using AAK (Transaction : SSDC) for our package .
2) Created File2.SAR file at OS level (i.e By using command SAPCAR_700 -cvf File2.SAR File1.PAT )
3) Imported File2.SAR file into test system by using transaction *SAINT*.
Note : We can see File2.SAR file is uploaded to application server directory *EPS\in.*
Please help me if anybody worked on this.

Creating add-on deployable package using AAK for ABAP add-on certification

Hi all,
We are planning for ABAP certification next month.
I have some doubts if you can clarify please.
We have our name space registered and AAK is also installed on system.
Now with ABAP custom development we are planning to create Add-on CD using AAK.
For custom development I can use AAK (SSDC & SSDA) to create .PAT installable files.
How to create installable files for customizing i.e. configuration changes ?
We have to create BC-Set using IMG activity and follow upload - download process or any other process to be followed to install configuration changes.
Please provide some documentation for creating installabe files using AAK and BC-Set if available.

ALV in WD ABAP: add a text field in aggregation line

Hi,
I implemented the SALV_WD_TABLE in a web dynpro and I add a column sum;
in the new aggregation line I would to edit a field inserting a text: is it possible? I think not because the class cl_salv_wd_aggr_rule has not useful methods,
any ideas?

Hi,
there might be incomplete language transports in your system or other things. But first you could position the cursor on the button in the application and then press F1. Then the help information is displayed together with the technical information where you should see the technical info about the object.

IP for ABAP ADD-ON

Greetings,
This is a question bothering me for quite sometime, a gentleman told me that developing a product using ABAP is not advisable because of the licensing terms that SAP uses for ABAP, he further told me that you can not own the intellectual property right on your product if it is developed on ABAP. You can only sell a solution to a customer and customer can only use it and SAP can takeover the IP (Intellectual Property right) anytime they want. He sited this as a reason why they are developing their product on Java stack rather than ABAP stack.
Is it true ? Can someone throw some light on this ?

File Upload in Web Dynpro ABAP not using File Upload UI element

Hi all ,
I have searching for a way to upload a file using the file open dialog ( or even by manually specifying the path/file name) without using the file upload UI Element in ABAP web Dynpro . The File Upload UI element works for smaller files however with large file sizes 64 MB , the system seems to be running of memory (SYSTEM_NO_ROLL) . This is due to a known fact that the UI element makes a duplicate copy of the whole copy while it does the upload.
I have been looking at the ACFUPDOWNLOAD as a way to solve this problem but cannot seem to figure out how it works , even the sample program provided by SAP does not work. I am working with a regular abap server and not kpro( knowledge mananagement provider) or portal .
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are on NetWeaver 7.01, you can try both the ACFUpDownload UI element or try creating your own FileUpload in Adobe Flex with Flash Islands. ACFUpDownload requires the KPRO by default (which is why the same application isn't working for you), but you can write your own handler class to act as the KPRO receiver. However in both of these approaches you still have to be careful with how you handle large files. The problem is that they are processed often a single binary string. This makes the processing easy, but requires total amount of session memory at least as large as the file being uploaded. In NetWeaver 7.02 ABAP adds the concept of Streams and Locators to help with the partial processing of large files. How to install sound and vibration toolkit 8.5

Hello all, I have just started using labview and would like to run the "SVXMPL_Third Octave Analysis for Multiprocesor" example as an example for multithread programming, but I run into the issue that the "Sound and Vibration" toolkit is required before running the example. I have installed the labview 8.5. I have gone through the posed link and gone through the list of products installed in my machine (ControlPanel>Add and Remove Programs> National Instruments Software), but I couldn't find the "sound and vibration toolkit". I have tried to run the installation setup in order to add the toolkit. it looks like I have already installed all the available software. I don't know how I should install the toolkit. I appreciate on any comments on how to install the toolkit. I appreciate if you can help me on how to install "sound and vibration toolkit" in my machine.

Which extra field do you want to add or see? Without specifying the field, it is difficult for one to tell you precisely whether you need a custom field or just change the layout to get the standard one.
There are so many fields which exists but are not displayed when you execute 2KEE. You need to change the layout selections to your preference.
Nonetheless, if the field you want to add does not already exist, then yes you can do customization. Is there a customization requirement? No. But remember, you are making changes to SAP Standard program which will no longer be supported by SAP should in the case an issue arise in the future related to this very program.
Have your abaper add the said field in the program or why not just create a query to pull the report?

Usually the Abaper adds this field to PO ADDITIONAL DATA tab, if it doesnot already exist. Check in ME21n, whether this tab is available in PO, if yes, tell your abaper to add your required field there. If No, tell him to make one for your requirement.

ABAP development license and AAK install

Hello,
What is the ABAP development license? Is it a license that has to be registered within our SAP system that our development is done on? Or is it just a license number that we reference on our test reports, certification etc? Just wondering what work, if any, is involved here.
AAK install. Is this just a typical install through SAINT?

Yes, indeed you will have to maintain such a development landscape, purchasing development license is not sufficient. Every customer Add-on must be delivered using a development namespace (i.e. /ABC/<name_of_object>), it is not advisable to delivered Add-on in customer namespace (i.e. starting with Z***).
AAK or Add-on Assembly Kit will be delivered to only those vendors who sign up for ABAP Add-on certification with ICC.
