Abap issues....its urgent

can anyone please enlist what are the problems at which abap consultant should enquire when going for a company visit to check the problems over there.
Reward points will surely be given on urgent basis.

How to improve performance in reporting side?
Query Performance Techniques:
1. Check Query properties—Use RSRT tcode
2. Check whether cube is compressed
3. Optimize query definition
4. Analyze query execution
5. Check for additional indexes
6. Archive unwanted data
7. Check for partitioning options
8. Check for additional aggregates ( Consider DB ratio and KPI ratio)
9. Check for parallelization options
10. Use Nav attributes instead of hierarchies, use free char and filters.
Possible causes for the performance :
A) High Database Runtime
B) High OLAP Runtime
C) High Frontend Runtime
Depending upon your analysis
A)Strategy - High Database Runtime
Check if an aggregate is suitable (use All data to get values "selected records to transferred records", a high number here would be an indicator for query performance improvement using an aggregate)
Check if database statistics are update to data for the Cube/Aggregate, use Tcode RSRV output (use database check for statistics and indexes)
Check if the read mode of the query is unfavourable - Recommended (H)
B)Strategy - High OLAP Runtime
Check if a high number of Cells transferred to the OLAP (use "All data" to get value "No. of Cells")
a) Use RSRT technical Information to check if any extra OLAP-processing is necessary (Stock Query, Exception Aggregation, Calc. before Aggregation, Virtual Char. Key Figures, Attributes in Calculated Key Figs, Time-dependent Currency Translation) together with a high number of records transferred.
b) Check if a user exit Usage is involved in the OLAP runtime?
c) Check if large hierarchies are used and the entry hierarchy level is as deep as possible. This limits the levels of the hierarchy that must be processed.
C)Strategy - High Frontend Runtime
1) Check if frontend PC are within the recommendation (RAM, CPU Mhz)
2) Check if the bandwidth for WAN connection is sufficient.

  • ABAP QUERY - ITS URGENT

    Hi Experts,
In this scenario we have one Material – Mat1 and 2 plants namely, P1 and P2. At time of execution, in the selection screen, if we give for example: Mat1 and P1, data is displayed for that particular material and plant. Where as if we give MAT1 for P1 and P2 , the material again displayed for P1 which is in first row and it is not displaying the material for P2 which is in 2nd row.
If we interchange P2 is in first row, the material is displayed and it is not displaying for P1 which is in 2nd row.
In general – Any material for any plant which is in   2nd row is not displayed only zeros are visible.
Kindly locate the solution for the above query in the below program.

My first question to you would be ...you have defined the plant code as parameters so you can enter multiple plants...change that to a select-option and you would be able to display all the results.

    Hi
If that field which you wants to add is available in one of the structures like EKKO,EKPO then you can add that field just beside the other fields
If that field is not there in the any of the structures then you can define a variable using define command
    /: DEFINE  &VAR&
    / &VAR&  = <some value>
or you can write subroutines to fetch the data from outside tables and can use those fields data in the script

    thanx in advance

    Hi,
Within LSMW, there is an option to write our own code wherein this code can be incorporated.
This is in the Field Mapping Option...
Just go to the Menu Extras->Layout
and click on the check box Form Routines
    Global Data.
Here you can define Global Variables and also perform your ABAP Coding.

    Balaji.

    Hi,
Follow the below steps . Definately your issue will bve resolved.
Let us suppose you are printing following fields
    PH &v_text&
    PH &v_text1&
    PH &v_text2&
you will get the output as you expected.
and if you have any conditions  for these fileds
/: if v_text is not initial.
    PH &v_text&
    /: endif
    PH &v_text1&
    PH &v_text2&
if you have data in each field then you will get output as expected .
    But when v_text is initial.
the data will be moved up wnhich is happening in your case.
so what you need to do is?
/: if v_text is not initial.
    PH &v_text&
    /: else
PH  (Here you need to mention empty line with same paragraph format
    /: endif.
    PH &v_text1&
    PH &v_text2&
    Reward points if useful

When I put a filter in the report then i can see the subresult of single segment but am not able to see the rest of the Segments. It is just showing the filtered segment with the subresult. I want to see all the segments with the subresult and overall result rows.
Can it possible in the report if it is then Plz tell me how to do that. Its urgent

I guess ORI-DES is a characteristic. if yes then, Ori-des should come before Flt. NO. and in properties->display, result rows should be 'Always display' to get desire result

Right click the program to create a screen 100 for the dialog. Enter Short description, set screen type to Normal and enter 0 or blank into Next screen. Then move to Element List tab and enter the OK code as OK_CODE (i.e. the same as what you declared in the top include with data: ok_code type sy-ucomm).
    • Step 5 (Create table control)
Press the Layout button to bring up the screen painter editor.
Press table control button and drag it on to the screen, enter the name of table control created in TOP include (TC100). Now press the yellow button for attributes and set the table control as below options
    • Step 6 (Populate table control )
Press the orange button (Fields). On the next screen enter ZTC_EKKO and press the ‘Get from Dict’ button. Select the fields you want (all) and press enter. Now drag them onto your Table Control.
Below is the result, there will been syntax errors if we check now! So Save and go back into the flow logic tab.
    • Step 7 (Create flow control )
Within the flow logic of screen 100 and create two modules, one to select the data from the database and the other to move the selected fields into the table control. Also insert the two loop statements to populate and retrieve the lines of the table control.
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
    MODULE STATUS_0100.
    module data_retrieval.
loop at it_ekko into wa_ekko with control TC100.
    module populate_screen.
    endloop.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    loop at it_ekko.
    endloop.
    MODULE USER_COMMAND_0100.
Double click the module data_retrieval to create and click yes to get past the popup. Ensure that a new include is created to hold all the PBO modules (default). Press enter.
Select 10 rows of data from the EKKO table and load into the internal table it_ekko. Go back to the flow logic to load this data into the Table Control.

  • Java (JMX) vs WLST (Please Reply.. Its Urgent!)

    HI,
I know that there are two ways to admin weblogic server. One way is by WLST scripts which we write in WLST console. Second way is by JMX which we write in JAVA language.
I know that java language gives more flexibility but still all the scripts present in my companies Weblogic servers are WLST scripts.
Can anyone tell me about all the benefits and advantages I can have if I change them to Java (JMX) code.
One of the Flexibility is that I can implement multithreading and start multiple AdminServer (in multiple domain) at same time.
    Thanks

Like I said in your former topic: just debug it. Run the debugger or put some simple System.out.println() lines to check if the array has a length, if the array elements are not null, if the final SQL statement is correct, etcetera.
By the way, with putting pressure by shouting "please reply its urgent" you don't gain that much respect from our side. Some will refuse to reply. Urgency is your issue, not ours.

    hi,
there is no direct tcode for going to webdynpro component/interfaces in ecc 6.0.
but u have se58 in ecc 5.0,as webdynpro convertor.u give ur program name and click web dynpro convertor button then it takes u to se80 .but this wda(webdynpro abap) component comes as in application tree hierarchy .
i can say in wda component refers a class .if u select webdynpro component/interface,it ask u to create a class or interface.
after that it automatically generate component controller(it is also a class),
interface view and windows.all these 3 are classes.for every window one interface view will be created.ie.. window is internal visible where as interface view is external visible.
u create view and embed these views in windows.by going to the window layout, right click on the window name and click embed view.u can enbed as many view as u wish.in order to navigate from one view to other view ,click  "create navigation" by right clicking the view plugs.
by default windows and view have inbound plugs.this is literally a event of that class.
if u want to navigate from view1 to view2 ,create outbound plug for view1,the click outbound plug of view1 and right click the click create navigation the select inbound plug of view2.
then create a application .this is simillar of creating an object.
click on this object and test .this will open in browser.
for deploying u have use "sap webdynpro iview".
