ABAP RFC Function to merger table data?

Hi All,
Has anybody tried to merger that from multiple table in 1 table using ABAP RFC function module.
I have to merger 3 table into 1 which I am not able to do using Combine or Union operater.
One solution suggested in the below thread by Marcel was to use ABAP RFC function mod..I dont know how to do that.
If anybody has tried please share.
Union operator between tables
Thanks,
Murtuza.

Thank you for the reply,
I got the solution without ABAP code.
I created a structure of table (Key Figures) in Column of query designer and then use that structure in VC to output table.
There I had used formula for each KeyFigures using IF ...something like this:-
NVAL(IF(@Key_Figures=="Prior Sales",0,IF(@Key_Figures=="Price",NVAL(IF(#ID[ACA257]@Price_Impact_value>=0,#ID[ACA257]@Prior_Sales_Value,#ID[ACA257]@Prior_Sales_Value+#ID[ACA257]@Price_Impact_value)),IF(@Key_Figures=="FX",#ID[ACA257]@GAP_3,IF(@Key_Figures=="Volume",#ID[ACA257]@GAP_4,IF(@Key_Figures=="Lost Mix",#ID[ACA257]@GAP_5_6,IF(@Key_Figures=="Gain Mix",#ID[ACA257]@GAP_5_6,IF(@Key_Figures=="Current Sales",0,123))))))))
This way I got the output table as required.
Pls see this thread for the requirement.

  • RFC function : passing a table as input

    Hi,
    I have no trouble passing input values to an RFC model in web dynpro, but I have difficulties to pass an input table.
    By default, the input "it_table" node of the model I use, is defined like this : card 0..n, selec 0..1 Singleton True.
    Do I have to change something?
    Then, what is the correct code for creating the node (because card is 0..n) and then add items (for each line of my table)?
    For the moment, I get this error : value node is created without a reference.
    Thanks

    I finally managed to get it work.
    Here is the COMPLETE solution.
    Note that in my solution, it was easier for me to put data in a value Node FIRST and THEN to copy it to the model Node.

  • Using RFC Function Module to send data to NON SAP Application

    Hi friends,
    Please guide me how can I send data from SAP -> Dotnet Applcation using Dotnet Connector through RFC function module from SAP side. In my scenerio, I Run Z transaction  to executte RFC function module which create some data to pass to dotnet connector.
    Regards,
    Rajesh Kumar

    Hi,
    You can make use of Dotnet connector to read the content of SAP RFC .. (eaiest of all)
    The RFC can be executed using connector , and can read the data simultaneously.. u need to code in dotnet for this..
    else create a webservice and read it from dot net ..

  • Table with XSD binding merge tables data

    Hi All,
    Case 1 : If i bind the table to XSD,and create a few table. After save  the form and re-open the pdf, all the table data are merged.
    Case 2 : If i remove the table binding and create tables., after save  the form and re-open the pdf, then the tables are not merged.
    but, i need to have the table binding as later i will used that to  capture data from the pdf.
    If anyone have any suggestion ,  please  advice.
    The Dinamic PDF Form
    Data entry into the  2 table

    Hi,
    I could not use both solution because I've two list (two data model) from different source, when the jsf page is generated it generated the correct number of column and output text but when I try to retrieve the component output text for example the 1 row and the second output text I got a null pointer exception because the column only have 1 child and not the full elements that we can see at html rendering.
    There is no solution for getting the full list of components before the page is generated ? because findComponent recursivly called doesn't found what I want.

  • To upload a data into SAP Table with the help of RFC function in BODS

    Hi,
    Please provide me step-by-step solution to upload data into any SAP table with the help of RFC function in Data Services.
    I have created RFC function that upload data into SAP table. RFC Function contains one table that has same structure as my database table.
    In the data services how can i filled the table of RFC function, i am using this function in query transform of data services but it gives me error.
    I am also follow link http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/BusinessObjectsDataServicesTipsand+Tricks
    but it did not help me.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

    Hi Abhishek,
    Did you import the function module in the SAP datastore first? When you open the SAP datastore, the function should be listed in the 'functions' section. If not, import it. Make sure your function is remote executable.
    Once the function is there, you can use it in a transformation. In 'Schema Out' right-click on 'Query' (top level) and choose 'New Function Call'. You can then select a datastore and a function in the datastore. The wizard will show you which output parameters are available. I believe you have to add at least one and can select as many as you like.
    After confirming your selection the function and the output parameters appear in Schema Out. You can then right-click on the function and choose 'Modify function call'. A popup will appear where you can specify the input parameters.
    I hope this helps.

  • Inserting records in the ABAP exit function (hashed table XTH_DATA)

    Hi all,
    I want to add records in the logic of an ABAP exit function. Due table XTH_DATA being a hashed table the normal insert or append is not possible.
    My logic MUST move the data to a temporary table (ITAB) where the logic is executed (modifying KYF values and creating new records.
    In order to quickly get to a result I have solved the problem in an awful way through hardcoding the structure of ITAB to be the same as XTH_DATA is in this specific case.
    I would like to know if someone has an exmaple of a nice way to dynamically create an ITAB with the structure of XTH_DATA?
    At the end it should be possible to do: XTH_DATA[] = itab[].
    Greetings,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
    the only way I know is to solve this problem with sort of pointers, field symbols. Roughly spoken the idea is you lookup the structure of xth_data in table dd03l. you define an internal table of type any. you loop around your xth_data table and assign the value of each column of xth_table to your internal table. then you do your your adding. Hopefully then you can simply assign xth_data to your itab.

  • Problem while calling an RFC Function Module in Background

    Hello,
    I have created a RFC function module for reading data from an external DB system. The FM calls an external RFC program (coded in C++ using RFC SDK), which delivers the required data. This external program is maintainged as an TCP RFC Connection in SM59.
    Further I have created a report, that calls the RFC function module to get the data from the external RFC programm.
    My problem is, when I call the report in foreground, everything works OK, the RFC connection works and data can be read from the external program.
    However, when I schedule the report to run in background as a job, the report is stating in the protocoll that there was a problem calling the defined RFC connection (although the connection is working properly at that time).
    More funny is, this particular problem with running in background occurs only in the productive system, in test and development system the report works correctly also while running as a job in background.
    Can you suggest the solution to this problem? Could it be something with authorisations or server settings?
    I will be on holiday for the next 6 weeks, so take your time to answer .
    Regards,
    Dusan.

    Please read the forum rules about u r g e n t ...

    This is an external RFC server program, not a remote enabled ABAP RFC function module as the others seem to be assuming, right?
    Is it possible that your DEV and QAS systems only have one application server, but the PROD has many and dedicated one(s) for processing low priority background jobs?
    It might be that the target server of your TCP connection is not this BTC instance, and your RFC server is returning the data "locally" - so, into nirvana...
    Just guessing, but might be worth checking.
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • How to pass table in RFC and use that table to populate fields in Mapping?

    Hi,
    I have a requirement FIle to CSV, the file consists of thousand lines...
    What I did first is to put RFC look up per line. It is taking too long to process the message.
    One work around that I could think of is to pass all the values to a table then pass the table to RFC then RFC returns another table, so only one RFC call is required.
    How am I going to use the table returned by the RFC? Please advise how to achieve this scenario.

    Hi,
    I use an ABAP RFC function, which has a parameter that contains many rows.
    In ABAP, I create a two types. First is a ROW - contains some fields, for example, param1, param2, etc.
    Second is a TABLE - contains multiple count of ROW.
    Then I create a Remotecallable Function that has this TABLE-type as parameter (you can make this parameter as INPUT and OUTPUT). So in my mapping program after import RFC Function, I see a message looks like this:
    MY_TABLE_PARAM (Occurences: 1)
    item (Occureces: 0..unbounded)
    param1 (Occureces: 1)
    param2 (Occureces: 1)
    etc (Occureces: 1)
    Regards.

  • ABAP RFC doen't get called, although XI says it does

    Hi all,
    sorry for my noob question, but I'm completely new to XI.
    The following situation:
    I've a scenario, where some mappings are done in XI and at the end the payload is handed over to a ABAP RFC function to persist the mapped data to the backend system.
    I've got a communication channel set up,
    Inferface mappings are fine,
    receiverdetemination looks fine,
    SXMB_MONI shows all messages, all with checkered flags,
    The last message of XI lists properly the RFC function to be called. Receiver determination is ok, lists the proper business system which has a communication channel (receiver) available.
    But when I have a look at SLG1, not even a starter log is written. Nothing. It seems that the ABAP function is never being called.
    So my questions are:
    Where can I find some information what might get wrong?
    Any ideas where I can have a look at, what might be configured wrong?
    Can I test the login credentials I gave in the communication channel for the business system?
    The SOAP message part "RunTime" lists in the "User" element a different user name that I gave in the Business System / Communication Channel. Where does this one come from?
    Any help and ideas appreciated,
    Tnx,
    Martin.

    Oh thanks! This was the useful hint!
    With the help of the Message Monitoring I could find out, that there was an authorization problem.
    Although the password was given properly.
    I found out, that XI doesn't like whitespaces at the beginning or at the end of a password!! Somewhere deep down, there must be a trim() call on the password. ARRRGGHH Cost'd me several days!
    Thanx to all!

  • RFC Function Module Configuration

    Hi Experts,
                 I have created an RFC function module which pushes data from R/3 system to XI. I need to configure this RFC in SM59. I am having XI server details and R/3 server details. Anyone can help me how to configure this and what kind of connection i have to use. so that data is pushed  to XI system. we are having a bunch of RFC's in our project. we need to create configuration for all the RFCs.
                  and what is Program ID?
                  Please give me the sequence of steps for configuration.my mail id is [email protected]
                  Points will be awarded for all the answers.
    Thanks & Regards,

    hi poorna,
                  step 1- first go to the transaction sm59 and here you can
                            create a destination for R/3 to R/3 server type 3.
                  step 2- Now give the IP address for the another R/3 system (XI) here
                             and the system no will be 00 (default).
                   step 3- press save. now go to the second tab logon/ security
                               here declared the clind no, language , user name and
                             password.
                   step 4- press save and then check the test connection.
    Do reward if usefull.

  • Call different RFC Functions depending on variable

    Hi,
    I have to implement following requirement:
    My program generates a report for the user and the user can choose which data he wants to have.
    Depending on the user decissions, I have to use different RFC - Functions to get the data.
    I have the name of the RFC Function und I want to call the RFC Function with this name dynamically.
    For example:
    rfcName = "Z_FUNC_1";
    rfc = get the object for Z_FUNC_1 somehow. This is my problem
    rfc.execute();
    Is there any way how to solve this?  I know that I can solve this like this, but this is not the flexible way that i want:
    if (whichRFC == 1) {
      Z_Func_1_input rfc = new Z_Func_input();
    rfc.execute();
    Any ideas?
    Best regards,
    Peter

    Dear Peter,
    There are how many RFC models are you going to make? In my opinion it would be  too tedious and redundant as you have to create diifferent models fo each RFC.
    Instead of this you may create a single RFC and in that you can call your required RFC depending on the user selection.
    It will simplify your application as well as your task.
    Hope it helps!!
    Warm Regards

  • RFC function is called with null paremeters on SAP side

    I used the new version of .Net Connector 2.0.1.
    I created a simple client called RFC function with one table parameter and simple RFC function inserts record to simple table on SAP side.
    If I call this RFC function from SAP side the record is inserted to my table with correct value.
    If I call this RFC function from NET side the record is inserted with null value.
    What's wrong ?
    Could anybody help me ?
    Code :
    SAP side
    FUNCTION ZRVFRFCNV.
    *"  TABLES
    *"      ITDATA STRUCTURE  ZRVNAMEVALUE
    insert into ZRVNAMEVALUE values ITDATA.
    ENDFUNCTION.
    Net side
    ZRVNAMEVALUE nam_val2 = new ZRVNAMEVALUE();
    nam_val2.Name = "100";
    nam_val2.Value = "NORD";
    ZRVNAMEVALUETable tblTest = new ZRVNAMEVALUETable();
    tblTest.Add(nam_val2);
    // for testing : dataGrid show correct values
    dataGrid1.SetDataBinding(tblTest, "");
    this.sapProxy11.Zrvfrfcnv(ref tblTest);

    The problem was in insert statement. I changed insert to modify on SAP side and solved it.

  • RFC Function Call - System not available

    Hello,
    in my own program i´m using an RFC function call to get data out of our BW - System like this:
    CALL FUNCTION 'RRW3_GET_QUERY_VIEW_DATA' DESTINATION i_dest
        EXPORTING
          i_query               = i_query
          i_view_id             = i_view_id
          i_t_parameter         = i_t_parameter
        IMPORTING
          e_axis_data           = gt_axis_data
          e_cell_data           = e_cell_data
        EXCEPTIONS
          system_failure        = 1
          communication_failure = 2
          OTHERS                = 3.
    This works fine and fast as long the BW System is up and running. If the BW system is for some reason down my program has very bad performance because this RFC function call is trying for about 10 seconds every time.
    Is there a way to avoid this long waiting time? A kind of parameter?
    If there is no answer after one or two seconds the programm should continue.
    Any ideas for this?
    Thanks a lot.

    ID1---Description1

    But i can't, because it only appears numeric functions for pivot table data
    How can i configure pivot table? Why is defined the pivot table data as a numeric field with functions summation, count, ......? Can't i show plain text of the description?

  • RFC Function calls modal dynpro

    Hello,
    I programmed an outlook addin which calls an abap RFC function to store the email with sap content. Within the function a modal dialog is called to enter some information. The outlook addin is waiting for the function to add some information to ms outlook. This handling has three big disadvantanges. 1. the dynpro is opened in the backgound of the outlook window. 2. the modal dynpro has no button in the task band. 3. The dynpro is not bound to the outlook window.
    To get the dynpro in the front you need to lower some other windows or you have to use the ALT TAB function to click through all windows. The RFC function gets the windows handle by the outlook addin but I dont know how to handle it? Can I bound the dynpro to the outlook window so that if I click on the outlook button the dynpro will appear? Can I give the focus to the dynpro? Is there any better idea to handle this problem in a better way?
    Thanks in advance for any suggestion...

    Hi,
    The second fm is called inside the first fm. , so giving result out you need to declare export paramters in the first fm.
