Ability to adjust duplicate identification for Contacts

Here are the rules for Contacts: First Name, Last Name, Work Phone #, and Email OR External ID (Created by another software system)
Is there a way to adjust these rules? Say I only want matches based on First Name, Last Name, and Email?
Also, I just tested the rules above by creating 2 identical records using the fields listed and the app allowed the second one to be created. Is duplicate checking something that has to be turned on?

I understand the ability to merge records once they have been identified as duplicates. What I am talking about is the ability to alter the existing rules that are defined in CRMOD that determine what is and is not a duplicate. It looks like ActivePrime has built this kind of capability as an add-on to CRMOD, both in real-time data entry and batch processing mode, but does anyone know if Oracle plans to expand the internal data quality tools for CRMOD? (other than integration to the EBS DQM tools via the EBS PIP)

  • Duplicate entries for contacts after BB update 10.2.1.2102

    Hi,
    This is in regards to my boss's blackberry q10.
    I recently updated the OS to 10.2.1.2102 (done via phone update not via BB link).
    After the update, i noticed that all contacts had a duplicate entry with only one of them containing the proper details while the other was blank. I have uploaded the pics through the dropbox link below.

    If i delete the blank contact, it solves the problem but I have to do it individually for each contact.
    Is there a better way of doing this? Would really appreciate your help here.

    If you open the blank one and go to the bottom and hit "Link" does it show what contact list the blank one is in?
    Also, where was the source of the contacts to begin with? Did they come from an Exchange mailbox? Another email account? Wired sync from Link?

  • Caller Identification for Contact person along with Main Customer Name

    Dear Experts,
    When a contact person calling to the Interaction center, we want to show Contact person and relevant main customer name in the context area.
    for instance XYZ is a contact person for ABC, when call comes from contact person, we want to show both Contact person and Main Customer names in Context area.
    How can we achieve this. Kindly help us to solve this probelm.

  • Duplicate Numbers for Contacts E65

    I did some editing to my contact list with PC SUITE 6.84 and E65 and all my contacts now have the same number twice... Once I go back to PC suite to edit the number on the contact, only shows up once. Any way to erase not on the phone? Any fix? Cheers, Amit

    Hi Ian,
    This is not about the interface but about printing the contact sheet.
    There are photographers who would like to be able to make the backgrounds on their contact sheets print black ink.
    I am actually making this request on behalf of another local photographer who attended our last Guild meeting. He searched high and low to see if it could be done but had no luck. I too searched for a way but couldn't find it. I think it is a worthwhile request since many of us might like to present comps with black rather than white paper showing.

  • Duplicate Check for Business Partners

    Hi,
    I was checking the Application COMM_CONTACT. When I create a new contact person, there is a duplicate check. When you want to create a new business partner of type person, the system raises an pop-up. This pop up appears when you want to create a new contact person of an company, which already exists.
    I would like to have this kind of functionality for the creation of an business partner of type organisation.
    Does any of you folks have an solution for that issue without an third party product.
    Or do you have any clue, why the explained problem on the top does not work with business partners (organizations), as it is working with business partners (person).

    goto Table:CRMV_BP_DCIFL and choose table =ADRC and required filed name at waht level you want to have Duplicate check for ORG and fill other relevant data as you filled for ADRP table entry

  • Status of Backup Assistant for Contact Information

    Can some one tell me (preferably a Verizon technical resource) the status of Backup Assistant for Contact Information?
    I upgraded to a new phone a few weeks ago, and when searching MyVerizon saw the availability of the "free" contact backup capability...     It is not really free for me, because I don't have a data/text plan, so I had to pay for the app download and sync text transfer.    I figured it would be worth a few dollars to have the backup capability and ability to enter data from a keyboard instead of the numeric pad (I have a flip phone without a qwerty keyboard).     The sync import of my phone's contact list worked fine, and I spent quite a bit of time updating addresses online...   However, the changes online were not exported back to my phone, so my  work added no value me.  
    I attempted to wait a few days to see if a regular update would resolve the problem...   Tried making a few updates today--the web application seemed buggier than a few weeks ago...  If I tried to input more that a one field, it refused to save the contact.   I could update by doing small updates and saving, but this was painful...   Tried several times to update the ICE contacts--they would appear to be OK, but after a save the changes were lost...
    Tried reading documentation to see if there was an explanation of how to download changes made online to phone...     Could find nothing other than instructions to download to a "new" phone...
    Came to the forum to see if there was a message here that would help me...   I was very disappointed to see that the Backup Assistant has apparently been "broken" for several weeks with no apparent resolution timeframe available.  
    As an IT guy, I was appalled that Verizon does not have anything on the web site that warns users that there is a problem with the site and gives an approximate resolution time for the problem.    This is always a priority for my group--make the users aware of the problem and give them status on resolution progress.  Verizon's lack of information has let me waste time and money trying to work with an application that is known to be broken.
    Key questions for me:
    1)  Can the cost of downloading backup assistant and the syncing be refunded to me?   (The service to date has only provides me with a frustrating online update experience with no benefit to me on my phone.)
    2)  When will the site be functioning with normal capability?
    3)  What is normal function?   Are the problems that I have had with updates due to the problem discussed in other posts or are they standard features of buggy code?
    4)  If the application were working normally, how would one do updates online and have those updates exported back to the phone?

    I am not a Verizon employee, I am simply a customer, satisfied for the most part with my service, and I like to help others.  This recent BA mess is not fun....and I hope it gets resolved very soon.

  • Can't adjust audio keyframes for certain sequences?!

    I have a Sequence that I used Pluraleyes on (syncs multiple cameras automatically) but to do this, you're reuired to export a FCP .xml, import it in Pluraleyes, run the sync, which it exports a new FCP .xml, which you have to import back into Premiere... but now I've lost the ability to adjust ANY Audio keyframes! The Keyframe switch on the left of the timeline just stay greyed ouy for all my video clips!
    I've created new sequences and dropped the same video into those, and it works fine...
    Does anyone know why, and how to fix it?

    Nevermind, figured it out... Pluraleyes was somehow splitting the stereo audio into two mono tracks upon import into premiere, and I guess this confused Premiere...
    Not sure if this is a Premiere .xml import bug, or a Pluraleyes bug...

  • Duplicate cleaner for iPhoto cannot continue as Library is not selected in iPhoto.

    I.) Version Information:
    iPhoto version 9.6 (910.29)
    Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto version 1.8 (1.8.01)
    OS X Yosemite (version 10.10.1)
    MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)
    I have only one iPhoto library.  I have launched iPhoto prior to launching 'Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto."
    II.) Error message:  "Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto cannot continue as Library is not selected in iPhoto.  Please start iPhoto and select a library."
    III.) What i've tried:
    1.) disabled photo stream in iPhoto.
    2.) launched iPhoto while holding command & option
      a.) - Repair Permissiones
      b.) Rebuild Thumbnails
      c.) Repair Database
      d.) Rebuild Database
    3.) Disk Utility --> verify & (later) repair disk permissions.
    4.) (after turning off file vault encryption) I ran resetpassword from the terminal and reset permissions exactly as described here:  http://osxdaily.com/2011/11/15/repair-user-permissions-in-mac-os-x-lion/
    5.) Deleted "com.apple.iPhoto.plist" (and subsequently recreated it at 1st launch of iPhoto)
    6.) Verified that my user account is the owner of my iPhoto library
    7.) Against my better judgement, I called their support.  I even participated in the Log Me In Rescue support session.  I hung up when their agent told me to reset Safari.
    I'd like to think that I'm not an idiot, but I have tried everything I could think of.  I haven't been able to find much online.  I understand that this is 3rd party software, but I don't know where else to post this.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your response.  I was just about to try your suggestion when I opened Mail.  In my frustration, I emailed their support last night.  To my surprise, they offered a solution.  I just downloaded this "beta" version, and it worked.  I just removed several duplicates.  I have posted the resolution that worked for me below.  Again, thank you for your suggestion.

    This seems so simple yet I cannot determine how to create a new duplicate address book contact. I have a few contacts from the same company and want to change the variable data instead of re entering the data
    I can create a new contact, copy the data of the record I want to duplicate yet when I paste the info into the new record - address book puts everything into one field.
    Why not a duplicate contact command?

    To duplicate an address card:
    Select an address card.
    Choose Edit > Copy, and then choose Edit > Paste.

    I have a number of clients who have this issue since the iOS6 update (as do I on my personal iPhone). These are the steps I took. The combination is that they were using iCloud / iPhone with their contacts.
    Log into www.icloud.com and see if you have any duplicatesI had no duplicates here
    Check Outlook (if you use this) to see if you have any duplicatesI had no duplicates here
    On your iPhone check to see if you have duplicatesI had duplicates here
    On my iPhone, I went to Settings, iCloud, and TURNED OFF the CONTACTS switch. Then it asked me if I want to keep my contacts on the phone... In my case, I did not as I know all of my contacts are stored in iCloud as I've confirmed that in STEP 1 & 2.
    In your iPhone, check your Contacts, it should be empty.
    Go back to Settings, iCloud, and TURN ON the CONTACTS switch. This will redownload all of your contacts from iCloud without the duplicates.
    I hope this helps as this was kind of annoying as there was no reason for my contacts to be duplicated as I did not choose to integrate using the Facebook option.

  • Duplicate accounts in contacts app?

    Hi,
    I have OS X and contacts setup with multiple accounts (LinkedIn, Google Apps corporate, Google Apps private, Facebook). OS X is configured to synchronize the account settings across my devices using iCloud. I upgraded to 10.10.3 and ran into an issue with contacts app starting to prompt me for an account password. I went into Internet accounts system settings and added the password. During that process it also started to ask me for my Google Apps accounts passwords. I guess this was the migration Apple did to some new Google Authentication mechanism.
    Anyway, I know have duplicate accounts in Contacts. If I toggle account activation/deactivation in Internet accounts only ONE gets deactivate in Contacts. If I try to remove/delete the other one in Contacts it doesn't let me and prompts me to go to Internet accounts.
    Are there any files/settings on disc that I can remove manually to fix/delete the Contacts state? All my contacts are remote so flushing Contacts database is an option.

    I solved it using the following approach:
    Close Contacts App
    Go to Internet Accounts and deactivate contacts for all of them
    rm -rf ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/
    Go to Internet Accounts and activate contacts for all accounts you want to appear in Contacts App

  • I get duplicate emails for iCloud since converting to iOS 5.0

    Since upgrading to iOS 5.0 and converting from MobileMe to ICloud I get duplicate emails for same acount.  It's like a MobileMe account and a Icloud account...
    Plus I don't have any "On My Iphone" calanders, reminders, contacts, etc..  Not sure but maybe related...

    My recommendation would be to go to iTunes on the computer, under LIBRARY find the APPS tab and at the bottom it should say 9 Available Updates. Click on this, then you can update them from iTunes. To get them on your phone, go to Settings > General > iTunes Wi-Fi Sync (if you have iCloud set up).

    I need to create a report which I think most of the sd consultants have also done it.It basically covers sales order cycle without item lvel detail such as:
    Sale Order No -- Sales Order Date-- Delivery No-- Delivery Date
    Now as we all know ,sales orders and deliveries are connected through item table which means in the output I will get duplicate rows for the report above.For Example, if a sales order share 3 items with the delivery then we will get 3 exact duplicate rows in the report.
    What can be the best solution?connecting through VBFA has alos same result as it also has item level details.
    I need a good solution.This a common report and there must be some solution

    It is standard SAP rule that system will catch the document flow (document link history) at item level.
    Now your problem that you dont want to show the line item based report because of duplicacy.
    Try this.
    Brows table VBFA -
    In screen selection select the following......
    1. Subsiquent document category
    2. Preceding item
    select "J" in Subsiquent document category
    and "000010" in Preceding item  then execute the table.
    Now system will not show multple line item based delivery report. so No duplicacy will be there
