About abap

hai,
now iam learning sap i want operations performed on internal table.

An internal table is a run time instance.  It get created when program starts execution. It get destroyed when program terminates. it has two different parts.  Header Line(optional) & Body(Compulsory).
Any value that comes to or goes from interanal table , that travels through headerline.
<b>*A related program is .</b>
<b>*declaration</b>.
data: begin of inernaltable occurs 0,
         x type c,
         y type i,
      end of itab.
<b>*initializing headerline</b>
internaltable-x = 'd'.
   internaltable-y = 34.
<b>*storing value into internal table</b>
append internaltable .
append internaltable .
append internaltable .
<b>*reading internal table</b>
loop at itab .
write: / internaltable-x, internaltable-y.  "writes to output list
endloop.
<b>Fields of Internal Tables</b>
<b>SY-TABIX</b>
Current line of an internal table. SY-TABIX is set by the statements below, but only for index tables. The field is either not set or is set to 0 for hashed tables.
<b>APPEND</b> sets SY-TABIX to the index of the last line of the table, that is, it contains the overall number of entries in the table.
<b>COLLECT</b> sets SY-TABIX to the index of the existing or inserted line in the table. If the table has the type HASHED TABLE, SY-TABIX is set to 0.
<b>LOOP AT</b> sets SY-TABIX to the index of the current line at the beginning of each loop lass. At the end of the loop, SY-TABIX is reset to the value that it had before entering the loop. It is set to 0 if the table has the type HASHED TABLE.
<b>READ TABLE</b> sets SY-TABIX to the index of the table line read. If you use a binary search, and the system does not find a line, SY-TABIX contains the total number of lines, or one more than the total number of lines. SY-INDEX is undefined if a linear search fails to return an entry.
<b>SEARCH</b> <itab> FOR sets SY-TABIX to the index of the table line in which the search string is found.
<b>SY-TFILL</b>
After the statements DESCRIBE TABLE, LOOP AT, and READ TABLE, SY-TFILL contains the number of lines in the relevant internal table.
<b>SY-TLENG</b>
After the statements DESCRIBE TABLE, LOOP AT, and READ TABLE, SY-TLENG contains the length of the lines in the relevant internal table.
<b>SY-TOCCU</b>
After the statements DESCRIBE TABLE, LOOP AT, and READ TABLE, SY-TLENG contains the initial amount of memory allocated to the relevant internal table.

    ABAP mapping
ABAP mappings run on ABAP Stack and are developed in the ABAP workbench of the Integration Server.
You normally do not need to use the ABAP mappings and is preferable for someone with ABAP programming background. I should say JAVA functions would suffice any complex scenarios.

    XSLT Mapping
XSLT stands for EXtensible Stylesheet Language Transformations. It is an XML based language for transforming XML documents into any other formats suitable for browser to display, on the basis of set of well-defined rules.

Steps required for developing XSLT Mapping
u2022 Create a source data type and a target data type
u2022 Create Message types for the source and target data types.
u2022 Create Message Interfaces includes Inbound Message interface and Outbound Message interface.
u2022 XSLT Mapping does not require creation of Message mapping, so donu2019t create any Message mapping.
u2022 Create an .XSL file which converts source data type into target data type.
u2022 Zip that .xsl file and import it into Integration Repository under Imported Archives.
u2022 In Interface Mapping choose mapping program as XSL and specify this zip program. (Through search help you will get XSL Mapping programs that you imported under Imported Archives, select your corresponding XSL Program)
u2022 Test this mapping program by navigating to Test tab.
By having look at above steps you can easily find out that this mapping is no where different from other mapping programs, here the challenging lies in creating an XSLT file. If you spend couple of minutes in studying XPATH tutorial you would be in ideal position to create an XSL Transformation (.xsl extension).
If you still find difficulties in generating XSL Transformation, then you can make use of a tool u201CAltova MapForceu201D which will create XSL file for you.
Steps for creating XSL file using this tool:
    1. Open the Alto MapForce, import the source .xml and .xsd file in it
    2. Similarly import the target .xml and .xsd in MapForce.
    3. These two data files should match with source and target data types in Integration Repository.
    4. Complete the graphical mapping using extensive list of XSLT functions available there.
    5. Save the mapping file.
    6. Click the XSLT tab. You will have the entire xslt logic there.
    7. Copy that content and save it as .xsl file.
    8. Zip above .xsl file and import the same into IR under Imported Archives.
    Hope this clears your doubts
    Thanks

  • About ABAP Object

    Hello All,
i have some question about ABAP Object.
What is the meaning of friend class and singleton?
    Regards,
    Luke

    Hi,
The addition Friends makes class class a friend of classes classi and or interfaces ifaci. At the sam time, all subclasses of classes classi, all classes that implement one of the interfaces ifaci and all interfaces that have one of the interfaces ifaci as a component interface become friends of class. you have to specify at least one class or interface.
The friends of a class have unrestricted access to the protected and private components of that class, and can generate unrestricted instances of the class.
The friends of class are not automatically friends of subclasses of class. the addition Friends does not make class a friend of its friends.
Thea ddition global is allowed only when you use the addition public for the global class of a class pool at the same time. You can list other global classes and interfaces from the class library after global friends. This addition is generated when the Class Builder creates a global class and you specified friends at the corresponding tab page of the class Builder.
    `
In the example , classs c2 is a friend of interface i1, and therefore also of the implementing class c1. It can instantiate these objects and access their private component a1.
    interface i1.
    endinterface.
class c1 definition create private friends i1.
    private section.
    data a1(10) type c value 'Class 1'.
    endclass.
    class c2 definition.
    public section.
    interfaces i1.
    methods m2.
    endclass.
    class c2 implementation.
    method m2.
data oref type ref to c1.
    create object oref.
    write oref->a1.
    endmethod.
    enclass.

  • Anything new about abap web dynpro?

    Hi out there!
(First, I'm sorry: I know, this question is related to Web AS General-forum, but I think, I wouldn't get any answer there.)
Is there anything new about abap web dynpro? Just saying wait for nw05? No nice preview/minisap/promotion? Perhaps documents in service.sap.com? I read, it is used in some ramp-ups for ecc 05 (neither knowing, what it is). Is there nothing to say about? Is it drag&drop deployment like java webdynpro or more coding like mvc-"Basteln" in abap/bsp? Are BSP-Extensions used there? Something exiting new?
That are enougth questions for starting.

Brian McKellar is gonna lock this thread:-)
Anyway you can find some info about WebDynpro for ABAP in the Teched 2003 presentations in SDN and there is a quite detailed overview with examples in the Online help.
For the linux version of NW'04 MiniSAP the non-supported version ABAP Dynpro is available....anyway for MiniSAP you don't get support;-)
    Peter
    Ps: "Something exiting new?"
The whole thing is something really exiting!!!

  • Doubt about ABAP Proxies

    Hi Gurus!
    I have a simple doubt.
Exist any difference in the name of Poxies created with SPROXY against created with SE80?
I think "SPROXY Proxies" are named ABAP Proxies and the "SE80 Proxies" are named Client Proxies, aren´t they?
    Helpful answers will be rewarded.
    Thanks and regards,
    Manuel.

    Hi Manuel,
SPROXY is about proxy (client or server) you generate against an SLD connection, I mean when you Business System belongs to an SLD and it is connected to it. Finally when your Bus Sys has an integration server linked.
Via SE80 you can create also proxy related to an integration server or client proxy in order to consumer Web Servicies.
    Hope this help

  • Questions about ABAP 7.02 Trial and CE 7.2 Trial

    Hello,
I am interested in setting up a java and abap stack to try out some of the newer technologies.
Can I install ABAP 7.02 Trial and CE 7.2 Trial and have them interact (WD4J accessing ABAP backend)?
Also is there a way to extend the licenses for the two application server trials?  When I visit https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap%28bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==%29/bc/bsp/spn/minisap/minisap.htm, I do not see these two listed.  Will I be able to use one of the other systems to extend the license?
If these are not a good choice for what I need, what versions would you recommend?  I will be installing on my notebook running Windows Vista with 3GB of RAM.
    Thanks,
    Steven

    Hello,
I'm also interested in issues that you've asked. I would like to install java stack on ABAP trial Netweaver, but I've found somewhere that since ECC6.0 SAP is proposing to install separate java system instead of doing dual stacking. However I've found this info in only one place, so I'm not sure if it's 100% true.
I think it should be possible to make these 2 systems talk to each other, but as in your case, my PC is to weak to run two SAP instances. ABAP needs at least 1GB on XP and 2GB on VISTA and JAVA if I remember correctly 2GB on XP and more on VISTA. So I think that you won't be able to run both of them in the same time.
And about license, yes it is possible. Check this site http://tonkapome.wordpress.com/2009/07/04/sap-netweaver-trial-version-license-renewal/
I did it for my 7.2 NSP system and it worked. I didn't try it for CE1, but since it is on this list you should be able to do it without any problems. I don't know why but after this update my developer user BCUSER has lost developer key so I had to input it once again, but beside this everything works fine.
    Best regards

  • Examples about ABAP Proxies and Web Services creation

    Hi everybody.
I have been reading SAP NW PI 7.1 help about Web Service creation and sincerely, I am a bit confused. Also I have searched SDN forums, blogs and documents but my confusion persist.
I will try to depict my integration scenario below.
SLD are conformed by two machines: SAP ECC 6.0 system, client 100 and SAP PI 7.1 system, client 001.
    There are two integration scenarios.
    1. ABAP Client Proxy -> PI -> Web Service
I need to consume a Web Service provided by a third part. They provided me with WSDL files and I imported them into ESR. I already construted all other objects (data types, message types, etc.). In the examples I found I cann't see what to do with those definitions, I don't find any suitable example. This is an asynchronous scenario. The Web Service will be consumed from SAP ECC 6.0 system through an ABAP Cliente Proxy.
    2. Web Service -> PI -> ABAP Server Proxy
I need to provide a Web Service for others to consume it. I already have created the WSDL for Service Interface I created in ESR using the respective wizard in Integration Builder. This is an asynchronous scenario. The Web Service will be consumed by others outside landscape configuration. When the Web Service is consumed must run an ABAP Server Proxy.
In spite of my investigation about Web Services building in SAP NW PI 7.1 I cann't finish my work successfully.
I just need a good example, any suitable example for each integration scenario.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rafael Rojas.

    Hi,
    1. ABAP Client Proxy -> PI -> Web Service
    1. Create all necessary objects in ESR
    2. Create integration scenario objects with PROXY as sender SOAP or WS adapter as receiver
    3. Create client proxy in your SAP backend using SPROXY
    4. Create ABAP client proxy to execute the proxy which then will call your PI runtime to execute the webservice.
    2. Web Service -> PI -> ABAP Server Proxy
    1. Create your necessary objects in ESR
    2. Generate server proxy in your back end system
    3. Create integration scenario objects with PROXY as receiver and SOAP or WS adapter as sender
    4. Generate WSDL from integration scenario and pass it to your partner.
You can find many blogs which discuss these steps in more detail.

    Lim...

  • Query about ABAP future in SAP HANA

    Hello Experts,
I have read many articles and SDN post about SAP HANA but does not get clear answer.
I am having 7 years of experience of SAP ABAP and wanted to learn ABAP in SAP HANA.
I learn that SAP HANA is having its own language also as SQL script in earlier release but would this be using also in current and future.
So would learning of SQL script give more advantage and how can i get started learning ABAP in SAP HANA.

Please suggest on how or where I can find description for these tables.

    Hi John!
There is no documentation - you can't expect, that <i>every</i> bit is documented in SAP.
If you are interested in something special, ask this - but I doubt that you will find someone, who writes a FM documentation based on his own experience.
The most important fields you can guess by the name or comparing with SM50 / SM66.

    Hi Experts,
In ABAP programming, the topic INTERFACE is usually involved . But for me,actually,I do not have clear recognition on it. What does the interface stand for , BAPI, RFC ,or something else?
If you have profound knowledge on the topic, please provide some basic introduction.
    Thank you.

    Dear Micky,
Thaks to your explanation, now I understand the basic infrastructure of interfaces.Could you provide more detailed info. about that, such as:
       1. User Interface.        "  Like Dialog?
       2. Interface between two systems (SAP / NON SAP).    "Remote Function Call  ??
       3. Interface in context of Object Oriented programming.    "Class Programming

  • About ABAP Technical Systems and Business Systems

    Hi experts,
I have an Integration scenary with XI and an R3 vía RFC. I've already created it in the development environment and when I'm going to transport to Consolidation and Production I find that the ABAP Business System related to the ABAP Technical System of the R3 have a different name from the development one.
In the Integration Repository everything its OK because my scenario is developped on a third party system BS and TS. The problem is in the Directory because of the BS of the Message interfaces....
I think that transport Directory  scenario with .tpt wont work. I'll probably have to develop it in each environment... What do you think?
    Regards
    Gonzalo

This is what you need to do to move from Dev to QA.
    1. Go to Dev SLD and Export all your SWCV, Products, Technical and Business Systems. This is nothing but saving of the SLD objects as a CIM file on your local machine. You would also need to export the Technical And Business System poitning to your XI integration server .
    2. Go to the QA SLD and then import these objects exported in Step 1 in QA SLD
    3. Now, create the QA Tech and Business Systems in the QA SLD
    4. Go to the Dev Business systems imported on the QS SLD and you will have an option Transport Targets. In this map the Source Business System to the Target Business Systems.
Make sure that all Dev Business Systems have the correspodning Transport Targets for the QA Business SYstems
    5. Now if you import the ID  objects in QA , the business systems name will be renamed automatically.
