About creating deployment package.

Hello,
I am using java1.5.x, Eclipse 3.4.2 ,sun java wireless toolkit 2.5.2 and MTJ SDK.
I am creating application and debugging well.But when I am going to create package for deployment error raises like
Could not find jar tool executable.
The jar tool requires full jjdk installation.
specify full jdk installation in java prefereneces.
In jdk compliance I keep default compiler compliance level as 1.5 is it require to set others or not
please help me

You can download the Creative Cloud Packager (CCP) from your Licensing account (www.licensing.adobe.com) .

Can't create deployment package

I tried using AAMEE 3.1 to create an Adobe Drive CC deployment package. When i mount the drive installer and point AAMEE to it, i get a valid installer could not be found. I followed the directions in the CC admin guide and I have used AAMEE multiple times for creative suite deployments.
I have tried downloading the drive dmg multiple times.
What am I missing here?

I'm getting the same results as treznor. I need to create a deployable package of Adobe Drive 5.0.2 for Mac clients (primarily OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and 10.9 Mavericks), and I keep hitting the same roadblock ("A valid installer could not be found."). I'm running AAMEE 3.1.1 on a MacBook Pro running 10.9.2.
Is there any way to get AAMEE 3.1.1 to recognize the mounted volume of Adobe Drive 5.0.2 as a folder containing a valid installer?

Deployment Package vs Right-Click, Deploy directly from Software Update Groups?

I'm not sure I understand the difference between collecting updates into a group and then just using right-click to create a deployment from within Software Update Groups?
One thing I did notice this morning, is that if I want to distribute that content to other DPS, I have to create deployment package first? Are there other reasons for not simply deploying from within Software Update Groups?

Update Groups *group* updates together. That's it, they have no additional functionality.
Updates can be deployed individually or as groups (in the form of Update Groups) -- it would be pretty painful to manually deploy every update individually so that's why there are update groups.
Update Packages (I don't like calling them deployment packages even though that's what they're labeled as in the console because they have nothing to do with deployments) make update binaries available to the clients.
Update Groups have nothing to do with Update Packages. Update Groups contain references to updates, update packages contain binaries. Deploying an update or update group assigns those updates to the client within the collection specified. Clients that have
an update assigned that is also applicable will download the binary for the update from any available update package and install it.
You create an update package by right-clicking on an update or update group and choosing download. The wizard offers you a choice between using an existing package or creating a new one. You cannot directly create on.
Secondary sites have nothing to do with this process whatsoever. Clients are clients are clients regardless of where they are located. As long as they are within t he collection targeted by the deployment and they have access to the assigned update binaries
in an update package, they will download and install the updates properly.

A question about creating packages as local objects in ABAP

Hi,
I have a question about creating packages with SE80. Whenever I create a new package it is assigned a new transport request. After that, I can create new programs inside this package, and each time I can choose whether to assign the new program to a transport request or just save it as a local object (I often do this for test programs that I don't transport and I remove them once my tests have been done).
What I would like to ask is that, is it possible to create a package (and not just programs inside a given package) as a local object? so that every new object created in this package will be considered as a local object?

Web Deploy Package : Create WebDeploy package without installing the web deploy tool on remote server.

Hi,
I didn't get any valid category for this item. Hence creating it under C#.
I have two machines source machine, where the web deploy tool is installed and the target machine where the websites are hosted.
I want to run the web deploy command in the source machine and it has to create the Web Deploy package for the website hosted on the Target server.
Basically the Web deploy tool will NOT be installed on the destination server, but still i want to create packages from it. How this can be achieved?

Is anyone having problems using AAMEE to create CS5.5 deploy packages?

I am able to create a deploy package without an issue. SN gets verfied so I know its not that eventhough it's getting the pre-chrome license error in the log files. I looked at the directions that Adobe gives for the pre-chrome error and the only way I can do a silent install is by enabling the built-in Administrator account, logging to that account and running silent command from there. Thats really not a fix when you have 10,000 computer to deploy to. Anyone have the workaround for this?

Deployment Package problems DMS 5.2.1

All just an FYI for anyone else having issues with a deployment package.
This is on DMS 5.2.1
If your presentation references a video file from the Media library that has a space in the Title the deployment does not complete.
No error - just does not complete.
It does create the LOCAL -- presentation name GOTO URL.
But if you check the deployment/content directory you will see that you are missing assets.
To fix the problem you need to remove the asset from the presentation.
Delete from the Media Asset library
Re-add it withOUT a space.
Add back to the presentation.
Re-do the deployment package.
Then all is good.
Will try to test later on 5.2.3 but thought I would share this with others!

The ACNS software will not be corrupted by a power outage, except in the usual situation where you were doing a software upgrade and the power outage occurred right in the middle of the flash write. If this happens, the software will tell you about it, and you can fix it by using the flash-based rescue image or recovery CD. Almost certainly this is not what happened in this case, however.
What may have happened is that the data in the CFS volume(s) got corrupted due to some bug. ACNS 5.2.1 is pretty old. I would suggest upgrading to the latest 5.3.x build.

Problems about creating an application client using Netbeans 5.0

I have created an "enterprise application" project in Netbeans 5.0 and I want to create an AppClient to access the EJBs in the project. Since Netbeans 5.0 did not contain automatic support for AppClients. I need to do some configurations to make it act like an AppClient. (I am forced to use version 5.0 but not 5.5)

SCCM WSUS Deployment Package Confirmation

Our WSUS setup is pretty much finalized but wanted a quick clarification so I can draw out a procedure. Let's assume I have 400 security updates that I need to make sure are deployed and I have E:\WSUS\Security Updates. I'm going to make 4 Software Update
Groups with 100 updates each. I make SUG 1 and create a package in the above mentioned folder with a name similar to the Deployment Name, lets assume Security Update Group 1 4-9-2014.
Overnight the deployment was a success and when I come in the following morning I'm ready to deploy the second software update group. Should I be creating new package for the second SUG or use the first deployment package? What exactly will happen if
I use the first deployment package? Will the data from the first SUG be part of the package or will it only contain date from the second update group?

Update Groups are in no way tied to update packages. Update groups organize updates and are used to assign the updates to clients (via collections). Update packages are simple repositories of the update binaries. Once a client determines that it needs to
install an update assigned to it, it will pull the update from any available update package. The client knows nothing about either update groups or update packages.
So to answer the questions:
Should I be creating new package for the second SUG or use the first deployment package?
- It doesn't really matter. I generally create calendar based update packages for all updates within that period whether it be yearly, semi-annually, quarterly, bi0-annually, whatever. My only rule of thumb here is not let the package get too big because
then you may have issues if the package ever gets corrupted.
What exactly will happen if I use the first deployment package?
- Nothing special as long as the package is available to client it doesn't know or care.
Will the data from the first SUG be part of the package or will it only contain date from the second update group?
- Neither. There is no connection between the two objects. As mentioned, update groups contain the updates (the metadata) and the packages contain the binaries. Both have distinct purposes in the process.
As a final note, you mentioned using "E:\WSUS" -- actually two notes.
- Each update package must have its own unique (sub-)directory.
- Don't use the directory configured as the WSUS update repository -- that is a folder for exclusive WSUS use and bad things will ensue if you try to use it. The package source directories should typically be part of your normal software reposiotry in their
own unique and distinct folders.

Populating Deployment/Packages on the new Dashboard?

I've just updated to the new CCP on the systems I use to build Windows and Mac install packages. The enhanced Deployment panel sounded like something we really needed, particularly the ability to get timely notifications about updates. However, when I opened it up after updating CCP and went to the Deployment/Packages tab, it told me "No Packages created so far." Is there any way to point it to the (large) library of install packages I already have built or will this just work with packages I build from here on?

How to create a package without BIDS in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

I have inherited some SSIS packages that I found I can edit by opening the .dtsx file in my local copy of Microsoft SQL Server management studio. I then get Control Flow tab, Data Flow tab etc. I can add or change or delete any of the control
or data flows. I have found that if I use the same path to the local file where the packages are stored that exists on the server, I can edit the dtsx file on my local machine and copy the dtsx file to the server into the same directory structure and
sucessfully execute the package on the SQL 2008 server.
I have VS 2010 installed. I have read that I have to install VS 2008 to use BIDS from within VS. However, this has not worked out very well. Since I can basically create a new package by deleteing all of the control and data flows from
an existing package, I am in pretty good shape. However, I would just like to know if there is a way to create a new dtsx file from within Microsoft SQL Server management studio. Also one thing I have not been able to change is the event handler
name or package exploration name....it is just an annoyance since it does not cause any problems, just would like to be able to rename it.

We cannot develop SSIS package in SQL Server Management Studio. If we use SQL Server Import and Export Wizard, we can save it as a package but the package is rather simple.
We use Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) or SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) to develop SSIS packages. To develop SSIS 2008 packages, we must use BIDS installed by SQL Server 2008, and the BIDS 2008 can only be integrated with Visual Studio 2008.
To develop SSIS 2012 packages, we use the SSDT installed by SQL Server 2012 which uses Visual Studio 2010 shell and can only be integrated with Visual Studio 2010.
Different versions of SSIS package have different package formats/schemas. If you can create SSIS packages project in you Visual Studio 2010, it means that you have installed SSDT already, and the packages you design are SSIS 2012 packages. If you open and
eidt SSIS 2008 packages in you Visual Studio 2010, the packages will be upgraded to SSIS 2012 package format. SSIS 2012 packages cannot be downgraded to SSIS 2008 packages or deployed to SSIS 2008 server.

Why do I get an error message when trying to publish animate deployment package?

I continually get the following error message every time I try to publish an animate deployment package. I have no idea what Poster3.png is. There is no image in my file with that name. I have tried saving my composition under a new name and it doesn't resolve the issue. I have no idea how to fix this.

You may get this error if you had done the following:
- create a comp and save it
- publish to OEM
- delete the poster in file system
- publish again
Workaround:
Go to the composition click on stage and generate a poster image from the properties panel.
Now publish again.
Let me know if this works.

Jerky performance in iBooks widget and Animate Deployment Package

Hi folks,
I'm making a interactive children's book using Edge animate as I wanted it to be full of rich interaction, animation etc. My plan is to make the whole book in Edge and then drop that Edge file into either iBooks author or Adobe DPS. When I preview the work in Chrome through the actual application of Edge it plays perfectly, really smoothly and with no lag at all.
However, when I export as an iBooks widget or use the Animate Deployment Package option and preview through either iBooks or DPS then I see a marked reduction in performance. There is a slight lag between tapping an item and the animations starting and they play through in a slightly jerky fashion.
I read a discussion on these forums where the person said they had noticed the same thing when they had used symbols in their work. Unfortunately, because of the complexity of my project, I have to use symbols. Is this just how it is?
It's not absolutely dreadful, and if if that's how it is then I can live with it - but I would prefer it to be as smooth as it appears on my browser previews.
Any thoughts or suggestions on what I can do to improve the performance?

Thanks for getting back to me.
The largest graphic that I animate is 1024 x 768, but I didn't notice any particular drop in performance between larger items over smaller ones. I did notice that bitmaps suffered more from the jerky framerate than DIV elements created within Edge, but I guess that's to be expected.
Most of the images are .pngs because they need to be character's arms, legs etc to make the figures animate, so that must be the issue I guess. I've probably just been spoilt from seeing it run so smoothly on my desktop browser!
The 'symbols' comment was something that I thought was odd too - I only mentioned it as it had been brought up on the forums in relation to playback issues in iBooks.
Anyway, like I said it's not dreadful so I'll just have to live with it as I can't optomize the graphics to not have transparency in this instance.
