About execute java procedure in C#

Hello,
I have create java class in oracle lite, and the procedure is ok,
I have use the sytax "select procedure_name from dual" to execute my procedure successfully,
My question is how can I execute it in C#, and my procedure may have array paramenter and I don't know how to execute it?

This is it, yes?
public static void main(String args[])
so isn't the param a String array and not JUST a string?

  • Error 03113 while executing java procedure with pl.sql

    Hi All,
    I am using oracle 10g on linux server. Client machine is on xp. I hava a java procedure which executes the sqlldr on server. Earlier it was working fine, but after reinstalling the oracle 10g on server. It started giving "end of Communication channel error". I am not aware that what paramete has to set. Can some body put light on this error.
    Bye

    According to the documentation:
    ORA-01555: snapshot too old: rollback segment number string with name "string" too small
    Cause: Rollback records needed by a reader for consistent read are overwritten by other writers.
    Action: If in Automatic Undo Management mode, increase the setting of UNDO_RETENTION. Otherwise, use larger rollback segments.
    Error: ORA-01555: snapshot too old (rollback segment too small)
    Cause: This error can be caused by one of the problems, as described below.
    Action: The options to resolve this Oracle error are:
    This error can be the result of there being insufficient rollback segments.
    A query may not be able to create the snapshot because the rollback data is not available. This can happen when there are many transactions that are modifying data, and performing commits and rollbacks. Rollback data is overwritten when the rollback segments are too small for the size and number of changes that are being performed.
    To correct this problem, make more larger rollback segments available. Your rollback data for completed transactions will be kept longer.
    This error can be the result of programs not closing cursors after repeated FETCH and UPDATE statements.
    To correct this problem, make sure that you are closing cursors when you no longer require them.
    This error can occur if a FETCH is executed after a COMMIT is issued.
    The number of rollback records created since the last CLOSE of your cursor will fill the rollback segments and you will begin overwriting earlier records.

    This is the most frequently asked question from Oracle developers.. Never mind putting some light on this error, I want to put it alight! ;-)
    First thing. It is not The Error. It is a sympton of an error.
    This message does not come from the database. It comes from the client OCI (of JDBC) drivers - which suddenly discovered that the Oracle connection (usually a TCP socket connection) has been torn down at the server side. It attempts to write to that socket, only to find that the other party has hung up.
    Why has the other party hung up? That party is either a Dedicated Server Process or a Dispatcher Process. If a dedicated server dies (crashes), it will take its socket handles with it to The Great Recycle Bin In The Sky. If you was serviced by a shared server and it died, the Dispatcher (who handles the TCP comms for it), will automatically close that shared server's connection.
    Usually when a process dies on the Oracle server, it leaves behind an error in the alert log, and trace files. That is where you will find the inklings of what The Error was that caused your client to get the EOF on comms channel message.

  • Question about executing a procedure what what is replicated

    With Logical Standby Apply, if I execute a procedure on Primary database that changes data, is the execution statement replicated or just the changes made in the primary database by the execution?

    Hi,
    As per my understanding related to standby database architecture,
    whatever changes happening on primary database, will apply on physical database also on logical database using SQL APPLY technique...it could be DDL, DML changes...

  • About "EXECUTE ANY PROCEDURE" privilege

    I found in our EBS system. New user is default granted "EXECUTE ANY PROCEDURE" privilege and it seems I cannot revoke it. Is this supposed to be?

    What is the application release?EBS: 12.1.1
    database: 11.1.07.0
    Is this new user a custom user or seeded one?It is a custom user. I used admin account to create a new user. Only explicitly grant create seesion privilege.
    Do you get any error when you try to revoke it?No error. It works fine.
    If this is a custom schema user, you need to verify why this privilege was granted to the user and what is the impact if you revoke it (try it on a test instance first).It seems be granted default. The impact is the user has more privileges supposed to grant.

  • Error while executing java stored procedure from a pl/sql procedure

    We have a requirement where we need to execute JAVA code stored in an Oracle database (Java Stored Procedure). This code uses some JAR files which we have already loaded without any errors in the database.
    The class file was also loaded in the database without any errors. But when we execute the method of this class (JAVA code), it gives the following error:
    ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
    Is there any way of debugging the code and getting to know where exactly the problem is? Or, any tool/software available for doing the same.
    Any pointers would be of great help!
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Uday,
    My guess is that there is a problem with your java stored procedure that is causing the "ExceptionInInitializer" error to be thrown. According to the javadoc:
    is thrown to indicate that an exception occurred during
    evaluation of a static initializer or
    the initializer for a static variable
    Since I didn't see any of your code in your post, I can't help you much more, I'm afraid. Perhaps if you would provide some more details, I may be able to help you some more. I think the following details would be helpful:
    1. Complete error message and stack trace you are getting.
    2. The section of your java code that you think is causing the problem.
    3. Oracle database version you are using.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

    Says it all. Exposure on the Net doesn't mean quality.
    Burleson code usually has not been tested, is not robust, and quite often doesn't work.
    Why didn't you implement run_cmd, as suggested earlier?

    In Jython you don not need to declare the type so String userName = "HXXXXXX"; should simply read userName = "HXXXXXX" . Lots of your code need to be rewritten to work with Jython if you choose that as your technology.

  • End-of-communication channel while executing sqlldr from java procedure

    Hi all,
    I am having 10g 10.1.0.3.1 ( Infrastructure ) on linux, I am executing Sql Loader
    ( sqlldr ) from client (XP) using java stored procedure. After loading the data I am getting Error - ( end-of-communication channel). But same java procedure is working fine without any error on 10g without (Infrastructure). Is this problem is becuase of infrastructure or some patch has to be installed on the database. For my satisfaction I reinstalled java Virtual Machine on database with the help of
    ( initjvm.sql ). But problem is still there. Any idea what exactly the problem is.

  • How can i execute "*.java " files in Workshop

    Hi,
    Im sunil,new to this weblogic workshop8.1..i dont know how to execute standalone .java files or servlets in workshop.plz help me and tell the way.
    regards
    Budati sunil

    Im not too sure about the Java project. But single normal java files with public static void maain(String [] args) are very simple to execute.
    1. Write the java code somewhere lets call this class A.
    2. Make a dummy page flow.
    3. In the begin action of this pageFlow, call the main method of the A class directly using A.main(null) since main is a static method. your code will work fine.
    4. If you have to pass a String[] as parameters. Before calling main, create this String[] and then pass it.
    In this way you can make a jsp and take the input from the user also.
    Hope it helps

  • How can I execute Stored Procedures in PARALLEL and DYNAMICALLY ?

    Hi
    I have a stored procedure. It can be executed like this
    exec test @p = 1;
    exec test @p = 2
    exec test @p = n;
    n can be hundred.
    I want the sp being executed in parallel, not sequence. It means the 3 examples above can be run at the same time.
    If I know the number in advance, say 3, I can create 3 different Execution SQL Tasks. They can be run in parallel.
    However, the n is not static. It is coming from a table.
    How can I execute Stored Procedures in PARALLEL and DYNAMICALLY ?
    I think about using script task. In the script, I get the value of n, and the list of p, from the table, then running a loop with. In the loop, I create a threat and in the threat, I execute the sp like : exec test @p = p. So the exec test may
    be run parallel. But I am not sure if it works.
    Any idea is really appreciated.

    Hi nam_man,
    According to your description, you want to call stored procedures in parallel, right?
    In SSIS, we can create separate jobs with different stored procedures, then set the same schedule to kick the jobs off at the same time. In this way, we should be careful to monitor blocking and deadlocking depending on what the jobs are doing.
    We can also put all stored procedures in SSIS Sequence container, then they will be run in parallel.
    For more information about SSIS job and Sequence container, please refer to the following documents:

    You are using column type declarations which is good. But, for ORA-00932 it's good to triple check that the all your data types match up. For instance in your:
    insert into dummy_table values(ENTRY_NMBR_field,TRAN_ID_field,SNDR_NAME_field,SNDR_ADDRSS_field,RCVR_NAME_field,REMARKS_field,TRAN_DATE_field,BNFCRY_field,BATCH_TRANID_field,BATCH_TIME_field);You are implicately ordering by the actual column order of the table. Which is often the cause for this error.
    Outside of that, are you using Java because you can not use a database link?

    I think this must be simplest question any one can I ask, but I cant figure out the solution.
    Please help,

    First remove the horrible exception handler(s) which are hiding all errors;
    ie the
    when others
    then
    null;
    end;Then remember the main syntax is
    begin
    packagename.procedurename;
    end;
    /But also remember that procedure name must be declared in the package header if you want to call it. (This is called a public procedure). A private procedure does not have to be declared in the package header and can only be called from within the same package body.
    I always use sqlplus for verification as that is delivered with oracle. You know if it works with sqlplus it will work with any othere client and if it does not, it's usually a client issue.
    from what you have posted, There is nothing obvious as to why it won't work.

  • Why doesn't the "grant execute any procedure" work?

    Hi to all.
    I want to grant the execute privilege for all SYS schema functions/procedures. To achieve it I do the following:
    SQL> connect sys/*****@orcl
    Connected to Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0
    Connected as SYS
    SQL> create user test identified by test;
    User created
    SQL> grant create session to test;
    Grant succeeded
    SQL> grant execute any procedure to test;
    Grant succeeded
    According to the [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14200/statements_9013.htm] the "grant execute any procedure" - grants Execute procedures or functions, either standalone or packaged.
    So, the steps seem to be right. Then, I try to connect to the test user and execute any procedure from the SYS schema, for example, dbms_lock.sleep:
    SQL> connect test/test@dizzy/orcl
    Connected to Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0
    Connected as test
    SQL> begin
    2 sys.dbms_lock.sleep(1);
    3 end;
    4 /
    begin
    sys.dbms_lock.sleep(1);
    end;
    ORA-06550: line 3, column 1:
    PLS-00201: identifier 'SYS.DBMS_LOCK' must be declared
    ORA-06550: line 3, column 1:
    PL/SQL: Statement ignored
    So, the execution fails due to insufficient rights. However, the direct grant on the sys.dbms_lock works!
    SQL> connect sys/*****@dizzy/orcl as sysdba
    Connected to Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0
    Connected as SYS
    SQL> grant execute on dbms_lock; to test;
    grant execute on dbms_lock; to test
    ORA-00911: invalid character
    SQL> grant execute on dbms_lock to test;
    Grant succeeded
    SQL> connect test/test@dizzy/orcl
    Connected to Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0
    Connected as test
    SQL> begin
    2 sys.dbms_lock.sleep(1);
    3 end;
    4 /
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed
    So, to be sure that the grant on any procedure from the definite scheme is given, should I avoid giving the execute any procedure grant?
    P.S. Is there any special tag for code?
    Thanks in advance.

    Sybrand, thank you for the reply.
    You are right. I tried to connect by another user NOT SYS and created the function:
    SQL> create user testic identified by i;
    User created
    SQL> grant create session, execute any procedure to testic;
    Grant succeeded
    SQL> create or replace function get1 return number is
      2  begin
      3  return 1;
      4  end;
      5  /
    Function created
    SQL> connect testic/i@orcl
    Connected to Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0
    Connected as testic
    SQL> select get1 from dual;
    select get1 from dual
    ORA-00904: "GET1": invalid identifier
    SQL> select kaisa_rgali.get1 from dual;
          GET1
             1Thank you for the tag. This's exactly what I asked about.
    Finally, I tried t open the hyperlink http://download.oracle.com/docgs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96521/privs.htm but it failed.
