  • Registered, asked ? about javascript & NPR, logged in, can log in again, had to reregister, wtf?

I registered (shadevine) and submitted a question about javascript not working for my NPR.org Player. I was able to log in briefly, but did not see my question in my sent folder. Now I can not log in using correct ID and password, asked for password reset, but nothing ever was sent to my email ([email protected]).
So now I have had to reregister (shadevine1), just to ask the stupid question about my registration not working, much less getting to my original question of Javascript & NPR.
I am now using Safari to send this question, which I was hoping to get away from.
    Very disappointing.

Yes this was my previous posting, I see you had a database error, which solve the ID issue, but I am still not sure how to solve the issue with the NPR player and possibly javascript.

  • Quick Question About Javascript Code

I'm trying to write some code in JavaScript so that a different image will display every time someone loads my homepage. I have come across a section called
'imgct' what does "ct" stand for?
Please excuse the stupid question but this is my first time!
If anyone could point me in the right direction of how to do this aswell I would be extremely grateful!
    Thanks
    Kyra

I'm so sorry about this, it just doesn't seem to be working, I did what you suggested but it still doesn't show up in my browser. :S
The is the code view of my page now:

      <noscript><img src="Images/Homepage/Image2.jpg"/></noscript>
As you can see I have also tried to add in a 'noscript' tag incase someone doesn't have javascript enabled etc. although when I preview it in IE I see both 'Image2' and the image placholder where teh random image is meant to appear, but doesn't.
I'm very grateful for all the help you are giving me!
    Thank you

  • Where can I learn about javascript?

I would love to be able to use javascript in my interactive PDF forms and am finding it difficult to find good reference articles on the subject. Does anyone else have or has solved this issue?

    Some Details:
MDN JavaScript site for the JavaScript Reference -  https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript. Obviously, weighted toward the web, not for forms.
Acumen Training - Kremer's reference http://www.acumentraining.com/QEDGuides/ is to "Beginning JavaScript for Adobe Acrobat." To my surprise, this is a hard-copy book arriving via snail mail. Amazon Kindle has a Acumen Training's "First Steps" version for $1.99 - very introductory, but helpful if you're at that level.

Please tell me how to fix this problem. Thanks!

Ok, try to clean your PC with [https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download CCleaner], do deep defrag and optimization with [http://www.iobit.com/iobitsmartdefrag.html Smart Defrag], make sure you have space on your primary drive(where your OS is installed), test your memory with [http://www.memtest.org/ Memtest86+]. If this doesn't help probably most painless and fastest solution will be to reinstall your Windows. Also keep in mind that Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, so if you are in position to move to a newer version of Windows would be a right thing to do. If you reinstall your OS, just update OS and install drivers before you install Firefox and test it then without any other software installed.

  • About javascript url

    Hi all,
I am successfully deploy the portal (version 7.0), and now i am facing some problems, actually, i am usuing the gateway, so that it is rewrite all other pages, and i have one system connect to the portal, and that system have one javascript function call "openWindow", if i click throught that function using portal, the url will become like that:
    <gateway server name>/redirect/<application url>/lib/javascript/content_redirect.jsp?contentID=210
but the correct url should be:
    <gateway server name>/<application url>/content_redirect.jsp?contentID=210
I am already tried to modify the ruleset, but it seem not work, the rule set i modify should be:
    <Function name="openWindow" paramPatterns="y" type="URL"/>
It is the javascript function details:
    function openWindow( url )
    window.open(url,'_blank','scrollbars=yes,menubar=yes,height=560,width=760,resizable=yes,toolbar=yes,location=yes,status=yes, top=25, left=50');
    }

    Hi all,
I just further study the error, and found that the javascript of portal "psSRAPRewriter_convert_expression" rewrite my url incorrectly.
Since my content_redirect.jsp is put under root directory, and other javascript are put under "<root directory>"/lib/javascript/", and after throught the portal page, it treat <host path>/lib/javascript/ as root path, and I dont know how to correct the portal setting in order to get the correct rewrite url, is anyone have hints to give me.

  • Question about Javascript?

'm trying to implement some stuff and am having some trouble.
Here is a good example of what I want to do.
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/
    Huffingtonpost
On the right side of the page a little bit down is a section
called "MOST POPULAR ON HUFFPOST" is a list of links, when you
click on a link the page grays out with a synopsis of the story.
What I want to do is a bit more simple, I just want the page to
gray out with a list of links. If anyone knows how to do this give
me a heads up. I'm pulling my hair out trying to find out. I
inspected the element in safari webkit and this is what it showed.
    <a
    href=http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/02/28/miley-cyrus-drinks-ketchu_n_88898.html
    onclick="return QV.pop(this);">Miley Cyrus Drinks
    Ketchup</a>
I placed in bold what I think is causing this action but
don't know how to implement this.
    Thanks in advance

Thanks for the feedback, Dave. I'll see if I can increase the
    transparency
    on that background image.
It's fast because it's just loading text rather than fetching
    an upsized
    image....

  • About JavaScript and LiveCycle Designer generally

Conditional statements have to get structure strictly, i. e. else has to followed after if. Never without, otherwise you will get confused solution!

You should be able to open the form. As far as edits, you will have to go to the FORMS menu. The TOOLS>Forms is for the AcroForms, not LiveCycle. The FORMS menu is generally your entry to LiveCycle. If you do not have that, it is apparently an issue with Std (I thought they had added Forms to AA9 Std).

  • How can I get Firefox to display details about a JavaScript error when one occurs?

When in Internet Explorer I can set it up to display JavaScript errors as follows. Select Tools then Internet Options… then the Advanced tab. Under Browsing, find '''Display a notification about every script error '''and be sure its box is checked.
I cannot find out how to do this in Firefox. I would like for it to display details about JavaScript errors when they occur instead of doing nothing.

  • SQLite3-WinRT / SQLite3Component for Windows Phone 8.1 (HTML5 & JavaScript)

    Dear all
I am a newbie in the developpement for Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1.
After a few weeks reading books and watching videos to learn developping Windows Store Apps 8.1 with HTML5 and JavaScript, I have started my very first serious application as a Universal Windows Store App using visual studio 2013 community edition. I would
like to use SQLite for persisiting the data of my application.
I installed the necessary extensions to VS2013 both for windows 8.1 and windows phone 8.1 (SDK + SQLite extension)
I cloned the SQLite3-WinRT projet from GitHub, and, as VS2013 asked it, run the targetting process to upgrade to Windows 8.1.
I successfully installed and tested SQLite3-WinRT using Javascript for the WIndows 8.1 part of my project.
But when i tried to add the SQLite3Component project as a reference to my Windows Phone 8.1 project, VS2013 complained that SQLite3Component project is an invalid reference for a windows phone project... I can understand this as the SQLite3Component project
seems to be a windows 8 only project.
I have been looking for a solution for two days now without success and decided therefore to post my question here: is there a SQLite3Component project targetted for WINdows Phone 8(.1)? If not, what are my alternatives for persisting potentially large amount
of data with advanced search queries locally on a windows phone?
Thank you for any help the comunity could give me.
    Regards
    François

While not specifically talking about JavaScript/HTML5 this article series outlines how to use SQLite in Universal App projects:
    http://blog.tpcware.com/2014/04/universal-app-with-sqlite-part-1/
I have already used it from C# and given that we're talking about WinRT components it should be accessible from WinJS as well. Hope it helps.

  • Can Web Performance Test work on AJAX or Javascript Project which will show only one URL for all the pages?

    Hi there,
I'm working on testing a AJAX and JavaScript Project which has several pages but all in the same URL. I need to test some attribute on the page or parameter past by AJAX or Javascript. Can Web Performance Test work to get what I want?
    Thanks,

    Hello,
    Thank you for your post.
Web performance test is used to test if a server responses correctly and the response is consistent with what we expected. And we test the response speed, the stability and scalability.
The Web Performance Test Recorder records both AJAX requests and requests that were submitted from JavaScript, but
web test does not execute JavaScript. I am afraid that you can’t use web test to test parameter past by AJAX or JavaScript.
    Please see:
    Web Performance Test Engine Overview
About JavaScript and ActiveX Controls in Web Performance Tests
From the first link, “Client-side scripting that sets parameter values or results in additional HTTP requests, such as AJAX, does affect the load on the server and might require you to manually modify the Web Performance Test to simulate the scripting.”
If you want to execute the function typically performed by script in web test, you need to accomplish it in coded web performance test or a web performance test plugin. Please see:
How to: Create a Coded Web Performance Test
How to: Create a Web Performance Test Plug-In
I am not sure what the ‘some attribute on the page’ is. If you mean that you want to test those controls on the page, you can do coded UI test, which can test that the user interface for an application functions correctly. The coded UI test performs actions
on the user interface controls for an application and verifies that the correct controls are displayed with the correct values. You can refer to this article for detailed information about code UI test:
Verifying Code by Using Coded User Interface Tests

  • What's wrong with my JavaScript?

My site works perfectly in Firefox, but when viewed in IE6,
my Flash video and buttons in the body of the homepage aren't
there. When I view the source, they show up but I can't see them on
the page. I don't know much (or anything, for that matter) about
JavaScript, just basic HTML. I didn't write any JavaScript, but
there is a folder containing script for the flash. It's the same on
all pages and only the homepage flash isn't showing up.
Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? Thanks so
    much for any help.

    hi,
see first of all if u keep same name for the check boxes more than one then it makes an array of the check boxes....then either u have to iterate them(check boxes) via for loop and access them thru their index number...for e.g.....if (!document.uploadservlet.channel[0].checked)
