About load the html in the flex
hi, everyone. i want to achieve the function that can show
the webpage in the flex, i find it in the internet, many pepole
achieve it with the " iframe". it is opportunistic , not load the
webpage to the flex, when we open the swf file the flex produces,
the webpage don't show. i know the AIR can load the webpage, but it
is only desktop applicaction, i want the flex web also can have the
same function with the AIR, hope you can give me some
advice.
No you're not missing anything. I agree with you. Everything has moved to CSS whether it be through included files or in the head, or inline when it comes to making emails. The only difference currently is that the HTML version writes stuff inline vs. the css part which writes it in the head or attached CSS document.

Using the URL class i can get the content of the data from a STATIC page and output that response to file so that is does not display to the client broswer.
But this only works if the URL i give points to a static html page.
So the problem i'm getting is if i'm righting in arguments in the URL, this means that server needs to process the arguments i give and its sends back a dynamic result. Because its dynamic the URL class can not handle this and throws me an exception everytime :(
Have u ever tried to do some things like this?

is there any way to exchange/transfer values or data between the html in the form layout editor and the form parameters?
for instance, is there any bridge such that the form template design (controlled by some html-based attribute), or the display property (again managed by some string value for the style:display attribute) of some of its divisions etc could be controlled by the values passed to some parameters of a portal form?
has any body ever tried to do it or thought of doing it? or it's inherrently beyond the portal forms capacity?
folks, any clues or hints on 'yes, that's how' or 'no, and that's why not!' please? will greatly appreciate.

My website, www.higherlearninganovel.com, has a link for listening to and/or downloading six selections of recordings. There is an arrow to the left of each selection, but this arrow does not come up when the site's home page first appears. It has to be refreshed several times before the arrows appear. This does not occur on any other browser (Safari, Opera, IE)
The MP3 wpaudio converter script doesn't seem to work properly in Firefox 3.6.<br />
I do get the players in Firefox 4 nightly build, so there it works.

Calling a function in the HTML window the course sits inside - Captivate 8
Hi,
I've scoured the forums for an answer to this but as yet have come up blank.
Our LMS launches a course in a popup window and inside of this the .htm Captivate output file sits.
Currently this pop up window has a button in it which executes a function. The problem is this button is rather unsightly sitting above the course in the HTML window and I'd like to be able to call this function from inside the Captivate course itself.
The function is called closeSCOContent() and it closes the course window but crucially forwards the user to a feedback page.
So essentially is it possible to call this function using the Javascript function in Captivate 8?

k: no. And there is plenty wrong with it, it does not appear. I did not change the code because I want to look at a sample that has been altered to make sure I alter it the correct way. Where can I find the page source of a page that has the simple contact form widget used and uploaded to a commercial hosting site, and the forem works.

k: This was a bug that was described last year and the release of this version advertised it had been corrected. It is not corrected.

Parikshit: there is either something wrong on the host's end that this doesn't get uploaded. We've already had many users upload it to an external hosts. We don't keep user site URLs with us, and hence I won't be able to provide you with one. But the best method here would be to post this on our forums, and then all our forum members (including users who have successfully implemented this) will be able to see the post and reply to it.
k: I've seen them all complaining that this still doesn't work. Perhaps you should encourage some of the successful uploaders to post to the forum. Send me a link. I had numerous tech support people at the host check this and there was nothing wrong with their PHP or the upload path.

i am having problems with not seeing the HTML on the bar because i always look and copy and paste it on things like Facebook and stuff. but now with this new feature, i cannot see or copy or paste it.
You can find the Copy, Paste, and Cut buttons in the Edit menu and the Edit sub menu in the Firefox menu.<br />
If you need access to the menu bar then press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
You can also find them as toolbar buttons in the toolbar palette in the Customize window and drag them on a toolbar.

Actionscript not working on the HTML file PLEASE HELP

The problem is, when I publish the file, and run the html file, the actionscript doesn't work. When I run the project in flash it works perfectly. I do not believe it is the player or anything of that sort that is wrong, although I can not be sure. I've tried this on like 10 different computers, and none were able to load the actionscript. Does anyone know why the actionscript wouldn't be working when I run the html file for the site?

I think you didn't select the Flash with SFCommand in the HTML tab inside the Template dropdown menu, that's the reason your Actions Scripts doesn't work in the html view.
To access hold down CTRL+SHIFT+F12--->HTML tab--->The first dropdown menu at the top

How to retrieve data from the HTML form in the JEditorPane?
I could quite easily use JEditorPane to render and display a simple HTML file.
My HTML looks like this:

It gets diplayed fine and I can type in text, select radio buttons (they behave mutualy-exclusive,
as they should) and check checkboxes.
The problem I have is with retrieving the values which were entered into the form.
If I, after editing, try to write the html to the file using HTMLWriter,
it records the changes I made into the textarea, however all the radio and checkbox selections are lost.
Maybe the problem is that when I enter the values I do not use any methods like
insertBeforeStart and so on, but I believe I shouldn't need to use them to populate a form.
Especially I never change the structure of the HTML.
Also, when I try to traverse the Element tree and see the input elements attributes,
I can never see a change in the entered values. However it is probably b/c I am traversing through
the model and the changes are in the view (just a guess.)
Anyway, if anybody could direct me onto the right path: how to retrieve the values typed in the form,
or if it is possible at all in the JEditorPane, I would greatly appreciate.

PS. I have seen the answer to a similar question posted some time last year. However, I am trying
to find a soultion which allows forms/surveys to be built by people who have no java and only basic

Files created in DW with slices, how can I email the html files to someone

I was wondering if someone could help me please? I created my first website in DW CS4. I used Illustrator to create it, added slices, then did the rest in DW. My site is not live yet - I have not yet uploaded the files to the web host. However, I need to email the .html file to someone so that they can see what I have created so far for the site. But when I attach the .html files, the person I send them to cannot view them - when they open the file it is just a bunch of placeholders where the slices are and you can't see the web page at all. I am a newbie to web design so this is probably quite an ignoramus question. I appreciate any help anyone can give me!!The best practice is to upload the site to a TEST folder on your remote server for debugging purposes. (yourdomain.com/TEST/index.html)
Then send your client an email with the URL so they can see the site. When you're done testing & debugging, remove the TEST folder from remote server.

How do you edit the HTML export template?
Fireworks HTML and images export does not render correctly when viewing in IE9 due to the default browser padding values. I'm a little disappointed the Fireworks dev team didn't see this coming and add some code to prevent this rendering issue. Anyway... I've come up with a work around to edit the html pages by adding my own style sheet which includes the yahoo CSS reset styles to take care of this problem and it works great. The only problem is, adding it to every page of a multiple page export is tedious. So, I'd like to directly edit the HTML template fireworks uses to generate the html in the head of each page it exports so it includes a reference to my own external style sheet. I just need to know where/if I can make this change. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

GregI've never tried it, but the HTML Code folder inside Fireworks' application Configuration folder contains a number of items related to HTML Export. (Incidentally, I'd never mess with this folder without first saving a backup, and even then it's at your own risk.)
There's no simple HTML template file here, but there are files like "DreamweaverLibrary.htt", which is a "hypertext template" file that looks a lot like JavaScript to me. So if you're comfortable modifying JavaScript, then you could take a crack at it. I'm not sure, but it looks like this library file might govern what gets written into the head of an exported HTML document. If not, you could try a different one.
Another, less invasive approach might be to do some kind of Find and Replace on the exported HTML documents—using Dreamweaver or a text editor. -
Reading HTML after the onload Method is used in the website

I try to read a HTML site with the HttpURLConnection. That works fine.. But I only geht the static html. Is it possible to read the html after the javascript is done... In the site I calc a result with a external method (JS) so I need to calc and than I read the elements....

Thanks for helpThe server just generates the Javascript. It doesn't run it at all. That's the job of the client, which in this case is your program. So, you would have to parse the HTML and execute the Javascript that's in the onload method. This will be a non-trivial amount of work.
