About my Lumia 625

While headset is connected to listen songs it makes tunning sound & screen is blanking continuously when brightness is set to automatic & battery discharges quickly phone is heated up more rapidly for this when i contacted nokia care they simply degraded my software version to amber and said no problem will occur but still problem appears can anyone help me for getting rid of these problems thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum!
When did this issue start to come up? Did something happen to your Lumia 625 prior to this issue? When you say the phone was degraded to Amber by the Nokia Care technicians, does it mean that it's already running Lumia Black when the issue occurred?
Since the phone has already been inspected by the Nokia Care Point technicians, we suggest trying to recover its software to further verify if the issue is software or hardware related. Check this link for the procedure: Nokia Software Recovery tool.

Black Update for Lumia 625

Could someone help me? I have a Lumia 625 and I wanted to update it to Lumia Black. I always look at this website (http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/wp8-software-update/wp8-availability-in-asia-pac... to check tha availability of the update. I'm from the Philippines and the website says Black update is already available in Lumia 625 but I check for updates in the Settings and it just says: "Your phone is up to date. @Abi99 Good news! I think I got the update via the Nokia Software Recovery Tool because I'm so curious about the program when I last checked my product code. It says that I can install the update 3056.40000.1349.2001 ( I'm sorry I didn't took a screenshot of it from my computer because of my excitement) I followed the instructions and it started downloading . It took almost an hour before it completed the download. My phone started rebooting and then the Nokia logo was shown (with a red background and a status bar) so I thought it is already installing the update to my phone. It took 20 minutes to install. Again it rebooted and started like normal. My apps were wiped-out by the update. The initial setup also appeared (thank God I had a backup on the cloud). I went to the Settings>extras+info and to my surprise, it shows that it already runs Black update. Did I just did the right thing to update it via Nokia Software Recovery Tool?

Just purchased a new Nokia Lumia 625 on 27 August 2013. From the afternoon of 28th the phone would hang and no activity can be performed on it. After about 10-15 minutes it will start by showing NOKIA -> Windows Phone -> normal screen. This has happened four times since then. My concerns:
1. How do I prevent it from "hanging"?
2. How do I restart it when it hangs?
3. Unable to remove the battery so as to allow it to reboot as the batteries are screwed to the body. By removing the battery it should be easier to reboot the phone.
4. Surprised at this behaviour within 48 hours of purchase.
I shall appreciate a solution for this issue.

I think its a common problem with lumia 625.
Same experience for me on a new phone brought in amazon.com.
Same day 10-15 times hanged and had issue with even restart. Screen gets dead and it switch off as it wish .
Night phone was on with full charge morning i saw it was switched off.
The worst part is replace did not happen in nokia care as it was purchased from net .
This means they dont support / replace if its purchased from other sources.
I was really dissaponted with quality and performance of product from nokia.
Better go for andriod device where atleast all basic things works. Micromax phones are far far far better than this.
I belive windows still in the reboot and restart mode, please come out of it and give some simple and working product.

Lumia 625 does not detect MicroSD cards, please he...

My Lumia 625 does not detect MicroSD cards when inserted.
I have tried powering off/on.
I have tried formating them in my PC.
I have updated my phone to 3050.0000.1334.0007
I have tried a Kingston 64GB SDXC Class10
I have tried a Sandisk Ultra 64GB SDXC Class10
I have tried formatting the cards in various ways including exFAT / FAT32 / FAT64 etc.
The only progress i made was when i tried formatting in NTSC and after inserting the card i recieved a message saying "incomattable formatted card inserted, do you whish to format the card in a compattable format?" After choosing yes, the phone formatted the card and then the card was undetected...
This was confirmed by checking the card in my PC, which confirmed that the card had been formatted using exFAT, which i believe is the correct format for the phone/card.
Clearly the phone is somehow detecting and writing to the card and the card is functioning properly, except that the phone does not detect that the card exists as expanded memory and will not allow me to use it.
Any help with this would be really appreciated!

Have you tried to perform a reset? It will delete all your data so backup is required. See this link: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/how-to/wp8/basics/back-up-my-stuff for the steps on how to backup your files. After creating a backup, go to Settings > About > Reset your phone.
If the reset will not work, it is best to have your phone checked by our care point. Visit www.nokia.com/support for more info about the repair process.

Lumia 625 GDR3 Not getting Lumia Black

Hi,
I updated my Lumia 625 3 weeks ago to GDR3 and it was supposed to update to Lumia black as well. However i didnt get the black update. the extras+info still shows amber however i received all the GDR3 options like screen orientation lock and closing the apps with the x button in multitasking window. I attached for you the screenshot of the "About Phone" showing that i have the latest OS version which i compared with my other Lumia 925 and it is the same.
I've been trying to update in "Phone Update" for the past weeks and it is always showing that my phone is up to date. iI also checked nokia support page for my country Lebanon and it is showing as available. we do not have any carrier branded phone here so it is a SIM free phone.
Please help!!!

Lumia 625 black update

I got update for my Lumia 625 ,I installed it and after been finished I can't find any difference and I opened the extras&info sill showing amber software how can I know that the black update is on my device know although its fully installed and the phone restarted and told me update is full

It's not obvious that your phone has been upgraded.
Go to settings > Extras + Info.
It'll tell you the software release version
But...... have a look at

Another BUT..... The Nokia Glance screen is not availble for the Nokia Lumia 625.
One wonders why Nokia doesn't tell you this, you have to search for stuff on their website and only at the bottom does it tell you that the Glance software isn't available - VERY Unimpressed.

Lumia 625! photo shadow

Lumia 625. Even reboot many times still there is photo shadow continuing ( showing malty copies of taken single picture). Will you please help get out of this irritating problem.

Hi, pastornani. Is the behavior the same with the other media files (music, videos)? Do you have a memory card in the phone? Where are the pictures saved (automatically)? In the phone memory or memory card? Go to Settings > Phone Storage to check this.

Lumia 625 wont start after power off!

I bought a lumia 625 5 months ago and it worked fine. but recently when i switch off power it wont turn back on. So i had do keep it in air plane mode at night. After like one hour it switches on back. I tried resetting and restarting. Phone only vibrates after i release power key ( in all resetting methods), but does not show anything in the display. How can i fix this. help would be appreciated

I'm going to suggest a hard reset of the phone. Do a backup first, then either go to Settings/About and select Reset my Phone, or for the 625:
Warning! All data will be lost!
1.Power off your phone
2.Press power button and after phone vibrates once press volume down until you will see exclamation sign on the screen
3.Press in this order:volume up
volume down
power
volume down
4.Wait until format ends and the phone restarts
I'm thinking that something with the sleep mode has gotten corrupted in memory. If this doesn't clear the problem, then you likely have a hardware/firmware fault and the phone should be taken in for repair or replacement.

Lumia 625 poor battery

yeaterday i got lumia 625
battery was half charged i used it for 5 hrs or less and it says plug charger
i charged mobie to 100% and then go to sleep just get few fb messages
it was 8 hrs sleeping i look at phone again it was 5% remaining and ask for charge
i am very worry about this any one have something to help me

now it's like one week i went to nokia care power management check was made they re-install os and told me every thing is ok i think i was confused as it's my first experience with windows phone ever it's now working about two days after full charge whith sample use and may be one day or something with quite heavy use fb, what's app, skype video may be 30 min or less by the way it's good phone

Lumia 625 maps

Having eventually decided to replace my aging C6-00 with a Lumia 625, I merrily set up my new phone, lamenting the lack of slideout keyboard, and downloaded my usual stock of European maps (being in the region of Europe). I then find that the specified "Free voice guided turn-by-turn navigation" isn't, and it wants a sum of money to 'unlock' Global Navigation as I have a 'regional' license. Given that the phone spec page says it's free, what on earth is going on?

Try downloading the HERE Drive+ and see if it allows you for Free global Navigation ..
The Nokia India sites mentions about the free Global License (thru' HERE Drive+) but is missing on Nokia Global site ..!!!

Cant register Lumia 625 as device

Hello pls could you help me?
first of all these are specs:

OS- 8.10.14157.200
time+date - automatic sync is off
screen unlocked
pc:
win 7 home premimum sp1
ipOverUsb running
registry entries correct
possible issues: - I dont have driver for my device and also cant find anywhere, so this can be the issue
wanted to attach pic but i dont have msdn subscription
I can access my phone but drivers for lumia 625(RM941) are missing -
if i go to devices and printers and open phone i see in hardware that there are 2 drivers missing besides i have there Nokia usb connectivity,Usb composite device and Windows phone
If i try to connect phone through windows developer registration it will show statement that is hould check whether usbOverIp service is running(it is)
note: if i try to connect via Win phone power developer tool it will throw this error:
0x80131600 - 0x80131500-0x89731810
i tried also different usb cable and ports and other laptop
tried to restart usbOverIp
tried to restart phone
any help is highly appreciated im completely lost

Based on your description, I see that your Lumia 625 OS is Windows Phone 8.1, but your computer OS is windows 7 home premimum SP1, then you can not install Windows phone 8.0 SDK or developing Windows Phone 8.1 on your computer. So you
can not register your Lumia 625 for Windows Phone 8.0 or Windows Phone 8.1 development.

Hi, waydie. Lumia phones do not support TV-out feature via cable, but you can wirelessly show pictures and videos on your TV using the DLNA feature. Bar numbers on lumia 625

Hi i can't seem to be able to bar numbers on my Nokia lumia 625 as i don't have the call sms filter. Spoken to my provider they can't sort out they got me to up date my phone then switch of but nothing.Please can anyone help.
