About scheduling agreement

Hi,
Can anoybody tell me that what is the difference between scheduling agreement with release document and scheduling agreement w/o release document?
what are the benefits of the scheduling agreement with release document?
Thanks
Ashish

Hi Ashish,
Release nothing but creating output messages which we will send to vendor ( just like purchase order output message like printouts), by automatically ( without release, document type LP) or depending upon certain criteria i.e with release, document type LPA.
If you ar using scheduling agreements without release documentation ( document type LP), the message is generated directly. i.e the movement you save the schedule lines the system creates the delivery schedule and sends to the vendor
If you are using scheduling agreements with release documentation ( document type LPA), you must explicitly generate SA releases ( FRC or JIT)
The schedule lines of a scheduling agreement release contain finalized information for the vendor regarding quantities and delivery dates. The schedule lines are recorded with the aid of the release documentation and can thus be displayed and verified at any time. The release documentation enables you to see which schedules you transmitted to the vendor during the last two weeks, for example, and check the correctness of goods receipts against the relevant schedule lines.
In the case of with release (delivery schedules) the output messages are controlled by creation profile.
Creation profile
1.     it aggregates the release (i.e. scheduled) dates and quantities
2.     It generates an SA release in accordance with the creation strategy and the entries on the initial screen for SA release creation.
3.     The releases (delivery schedules) are transmitted as messages to the vendor
The advantage of with release is you can create forecast delivery schedule (FRC) and Just in time delivery schedule ( JIT)
Forecast (FRC) delivery schedule
Provides the vendor with longer-term data regarding the quantities needed of a material and when delivery is required. In such schedules, the timing of delivery is usually expressed in terms of calendar months or weeks. Note: approximately equivalent EDI terms for the ”forecast delivery schedule” are: ”planning schedule with release capability” (ANSI 830) ”delivery schedule (message)” (EDIFACT DELFOR), and ”delivery instruction” (ODETTE DELINS).
•       Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery schedule
Provides the vendor with data on required quantities and desired delivery dates/times covering the near future. In such schedules, the timing of delivery is usually expressed in terms of specific days or even times of the day. Note: equivalent EDI terms for the ”JIT delivery schedule” are: ”Shipping schedule”: (ANSI 862) and ”Delivery just in time message” (EDIFACT DELJIT).

  • Delivery issue about scheduling agreement

    Dear experts,
    Case:
There're 2 delivery dates in scheduling agreement: One is July 28 (delivery quantity 10K), the other is July 30 (delivery quantity 20K). If July 30 is entered in the field "selection date" (VL01N), delivery only captures the second one (quantity 20K). The first one (delivery date July 28, quantity 10K) is not delivered at all.
Q1: Why the first one (quantity 10K) cannot be captured in delivery? You know, delivery for sales order can capture those items as long as "selection date" is July 30.
Q2: Any chances to make delivery of scheduling agreement capture the first one (delivery date July 28, quantity 10K) as well?
    Plz help. Many thanks.

Try tcode VL10A with either following CalcRuleDefltDlvCrDt (By default it is 2-Today and tomorrow) option with relevant date interval.
(Blank) - Everything Up To Maximum Number of Days
3 - Due for shipment by the end of next week ( past-due delivs)+
4 - Due for shipment tomorrow (includes past-due deliveries)
    9 - User Exit
CalcRuleDefltDlvCrDt is rule for determining default value for deliv. creation date. i.e., rule for determining the default value for the selection interval for the delivery creation date.
    The following are implemented:
    1. All documents due for delivery today
    2. All documents due for delivery today and tomorrow
    3. All documents due for delivery up until the end of next week (includingthose that were due before today)
    4. All documents due for delivery up until and including tomorrow(including those that were due before today)
    Hope this can assist you.
    Thanks & Regrads

  • Explode LUMF material in scheduling agreement

    Hi SAP experts,
In short: Is it possible to have LUMF materials explode in a scheduling agreement?
At our company we have a lot of projects. We are in the process of selecting an appropriate way to handle these in SAP. We came to the conclusion that a scheduling agreement could do what we want.
Unfortunately we discovered a problem in our current configuration with respect to scheduling agreements and LUMF materials.
When we add a LUMF material to a standard SD document, the LUMF material explodes in all the necessary materials.
When we do the same in a scheduling agreement we get the error that the T 184 table does not contain a position type for ZLZM LUMF.
Would it be possible to configure this? Could you give us a clue on how to make this possible?
    With kind regards,
    Nanne Sluis

Thanks for your answers. I am not sure if we are talking about the same here. I get the feeling you are talking about scheduling agreements for vendors.
I need sales scheduling agreement as described in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/33/4361299d7a11d194e200a0c9306794/frameset.htm
We are currently using quanity contracts but they lack a delivery date and MRP relevance. In the SAP help it is in this case described that you need a scheduling agreement.

  • Corrupted line items in Scheduling Agreement

I have encountered an issue about Scheduling Agreements. Some items inside the SA's  are corrupted and shows Gross price conditions which should not be the case since this is a ZLP-type SA (SA for Planners).
As consequence, when we GR for this material, the idocs cannot be posted. The Idoc message indicates that there was an error in the price determination process.
For workaround, we recreate the items inside the SA and block the existing one. But this is occuring more often so I need to find out it's cause.
    Please help! Thanks!

I got this message from them:
"If the issue is concerned with the price determination, please ensure
you are using the standard pricing calculation schema RM0000 and retest
    the issue."
How will I know if this schema is the one the system is using?
Thank you very much. I am a newbie in MM..

  • SAP BW Purchasing - Scheduling Agreement delta processing

    Hi,
I have a question about Scheduling Agreements coming from ECC to BW with delta processing.
When a goods receipt happens for a Scheduling Agreement item, it registers process key 2.
However, it seems that when a second goods receipt happens for that same scheduling agreement item, the old goods receipts updates with a process key 4, and the new receipt takes the process key 2 when we aggregate at an InfoCube level. In the first level write optimized DSO, the process keys are in tact for every line item & schedule line (all goods receipts process key 2 are there).
    Can somebody confirm this logic?
We are having issues because we need all of that goods receipt history stored in our InfoCubes, and we do not know how to resolve. Please help! Points will be assigned...
    Thanks very much,
    Courtney

are you saying that Process Key is 2 for both the good reciepts in write optimized DSO but in cube, first good reciept is having a process key 4 when second good reciept is also there?
If yes, it seems that problem is with the info object for process key - is it a Key Figure or characteristic?
It should be a characteristic so that the value is not added but overwritten.
you are doing a full or delta from Data Source to DSO and DSO to Cbue?

  • About selecting Scheduling Agreement and Forecast delivery schedule

    Hi Experts,
i want to write a Report, with 2 parameters for the selection : Sold-to-party and Period
For this Sold-to-party/Period, I want to list all scheduling agreement + Forecast delivery schedule.
I already found the Function SD_VBEP_READ_WITH_VBELN to read all Forecast delivery schedule lines using Sales Doc.No. , but how can I select all Scheduling Agreement for the Period ?
    Regards,
    David

    Solution:
by selecting data from table VEPVG (Delivery Due Index) and using function SD_VBEP_READ_WITH_VBELN for each SD Document.

  • How to measure performance of supplier when using scheduling agreement ?

    Hello all,
My client has an absolute need to be able to measure the performance of its suppliers based on delivery dates and delivered quantities. That is to say he needs to be able to compare what dates and quantities were asked to what has been really delivered.
Most of the procurement processes used are based on scheduling agreements : schedule lines are generated by MRP and forecast is sent to supplier while firm requirements are sent through JIT calls.
It seems that when doing GR in MIGO, it is done against the outline agreement number, and not against the call. Therefore, we have no way to compare dates and quantity with what was expected (in the JIT call).
Do you know if SAP proposes a standard solution to this, and what could be a solution to this issue ?
    Thanks for your help
    E. Vallez

    Hi,
My client faced the same problem and we ended up developing an own analysis in LIS. Since the GR is not linked to specific schedule line (SAP does some kind of apportioning, but it doesn't have to correlate to the correct match), one needs to do assumptions. Our assumption was the closest schedule line, i.e. each GR is related to the schedule line with the closest date. Then all GR the same day are totaled together before the quantity reliability is calculated, since the very same shipment can be reported through several GR transactions in SAP (one per pallet).
If anybody has info about what SAP has to offer in this question (or is developing), please tell us!

  • Information on Requirements type in scheduling agreement

Does anyone can give me infomation about 'requirements type' found in the procurement tab of the scheduling agreement?

    Hi,
The requirement type determination in orders/ SA as follows:   requirements types are determined according to a specific search strategy beginning with the material strategy group. Strategy for Determining the Requirements Type
    1. First, an attempt is made to find a requirements type using the strategy group in the material master.(note: Define a requirement type and a class for each strategy which you will  define in the production module)
    2. If the strategy group has not been maintained, the system will determine it using the MRP group.
    3. If the MRP group has not been defined, the system uses the material type instead of the MRP group when accessing the corresponding control tables.
    4. If no requirements type is found here, the system assumes a special rule and attempts to find a requirements type with the aid of the item category and the MRP type.
    5. If this is not possible, a last attempt is made to find a requirements type with the item category only.
    6. If the last attempt fails, the system declares the transaction as not relevant for the availability check or transfer of requirements
Hope this will help you to understand better

  • Auto Update of conditions in Scheduling Agreement

    Dear experts,
i have a requirement like this..
when we create a scheduling agreement ...we enter material, vendor, target qty and validity date ,price and enter tax code.
After that we maintain condition types Vendor, material and Plant level....
So in the same scheduling agreement we are adding one more material and giving same tax code.....Is there any possibility,so that system should copy condition types when we choose this tax code....rather than entering again and again for each material....
    Please do reply me...
    Thanks and Regards
    MK

    Hi MK,
Are you asking about pricing conditions or tax conditions?
Tax conditions flow auto when you enter tax code
Whereas pricing conditions if those are manual conditions have to be maintained
    manually
for conditions to flow automatically you have to customize the condition type for "changes can be made" with manual entries indicator as B
    and maintain the condition record

  • Problem updating Volume in Sales Scheduling Agreement

    Hi gurus,
we have problem with Sales Scheduling Agreement. It's about volume of material. First, I create a Scheduling Agreement for material A, what is 100 CCM of volume in its register master material. I create several forecast delivery schedule. After, I modify by other reasons the volume of material A in master material to 200 CCM. What is the problem? The problem is when system creates the deliveries for Scheduling Agreement, the packaging is did in base 100 CCM of volume and not is for 200 CCM.
Besides of this, after if modify volume in master material I will add new forecast delivery schedules, the volume is calculated based in old volume factor: 100 CCM.
We don't understand this behaviour in system.
    Thank you!!!!

    Hi,
The reason is, the link of updating automatically from material master data to sales SA is broken!
You should double check the volume at item level in Sales SA, enter the sales SA, select menu>Goto>Item-->Shipping, see the value of field "Volume", whether it's 200 CCM, or not? I think it should still be 100 CCM, change it to 200 CCM, that will be okay!
    Good luck

  • To generate Schedule lines for scheduling Agreement when MRP is run.

    Hi,
Please help advise on my following requirement:
When I run the MRP for 'Single Item - Multi level' (MD02) for a material, I want MRP to generate delivery schedule lines for that material in Scheduling agreement.
Please advise as to how i can go about with this.
    Regards,
    Manju

    Hi Manju,
For this you need to set creation indoactor for planning run in SPRO.
The path is spro-MM-CBP-Carry out overall maintenance of plant parameters-Click on maintain-give your plant-click on external procurement under planning run-here you can give your option for the schedule line creation.
Traction code is omi8. Hope this will help you.
    Cheers

  • Scheduling Agreements / Delivery Schedule / Firm zone, Trade zone

    Dear all.
I am in the process of setting up scheduling agreements (LPA type) with firm zone and trade zone in SAP 4.5b
    The following issues  I have:
1.) with the release via ME84, it gives me an error 'no processing message ME 857, no message record found'.
As far as I know the customizing is correct. Can some one give a tip about what I maybe have forgotten?
2.) I am also using the firm and trade zone, but in the automatic generated delivery schedules line it is not turning up?
If there is any one who can help me with this subject, any information is welcome.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Wilfred

You have to create a condition record for your message type LPH1 in order to be able to generate the message (mn10).
At funcional level, try to update your schedule line manually through TCode me37 and then go to the ME84.
At customizing level, here are some things that were missing when it occurred to me :
Check in SPRO - Purchasing - Messages - Output Control - Message Types -
Define message type for scheduling agreement schedule lin - Fine-Tuned Control: Forecast Delivery Schedule/Expediter that you have operation 9 for LPH1 and the checkbox activated.
Check in SPRO - Purchasing - Messages - Output Control - Message Determination Schemas - DefineMessage Schema for Scheduling Agreement Release - Define Message Determ. Schema: Forecast Delivery Schedule/Ex in the control data : You must havefor LPH1 the requirement 109.
    Hope it helps

  • Delivery from sales scheduling agreement with one item per schedule line

    Hi all,
I have a sales scheduling agreement where the same part number has 3 different JIT schedule lines and I need to create a delivery with 3 item lines: every item line of the delivery has to be referred to one schedule line of the scheduling agreement.
When I create the delivery with transaction VL10E it has only one item line and its quantity is the sum of the 3 schedule lines of the sales scheduling agreement.
I've tried to change the customizing of the User Role, choosing the Split Schedule Line = 2 ("One item per schedule line") but the delivery is created again with only one item line.
How can I solve this issue?
    Thanks in advance for reply

    Dear Alex
The SAP standard behaviour is that all schedule items with delivery date in the past have to be rescheduled anyway to one date and are combined therefore.
Partially this behaviour can be influenced in VL10* by 2 parameters in
the user role : Split per sched.line and Rule (delivery qty).
Please find below informations about these different parameters
"Split per sched.line propose you 3 Rule for creating one delivery item
per schedule line. In a delivery list in item view with multiple
schedule lines, you can decide for the same document item whether you
want to generate one delivery item per schedule line or whether you want
to deliver the cumulated quantity of the last schedule lines selected.
About rule for delivery quantity, the following rules are currently
    implemented:
    1. No cumulation
The open schedule line quantity to be delivered is the quantity at which
    the list line is delivered.
    2. Sum of all open schedule line quantities to be delivered that fall
before the chronologically latest date in the to field (following the
Deliv. creation date field) of the selection criteria.
    3. Sum of all open schedule line quantities to be delivered whose
delivery creation date falls within the selection time frame (between
the dates in the Deliv. creation date and to fields, respectively),
making the calculation of the quantity to be delivered consistent with
selection criteria. However, calculationof the quantities delivered with
the order's schedule line quantities is not affected."
    Hope this helps.
