Access Denied Using REST in SharePoint 2013 and InfoPath 2013 environment

So here is the story. I developed a simple application in InfoPath 2013 (saving as InfoPath 2010) and published to a SharePoint 2010 server.
A major component to my form is the use of REST to query a SharePoint list. Everything works fine and dandy through the web browser within the SharePoint 2010 environment. Now that I have moved the source list to SharePoint 2013, saved the form as InfoPath
2013, reset the REST data connection, and published to SharePoint 2013, I get the following message on the Form Load.
Warning
An error occurred querying a data source.
Click OK to resume filling out the form. You may want to check your form data for errors.

When I go to the Event Viewer, I see this......

Any thoughts, questions, or troubleshooting ideas would be very welcome!
Thanks in advance.

Same issue here calling UserProfile REST.

Same issue...running SCOM 2012 RTM with UR3 on Windows 2008 R2 and SharePoint 2013.  I got the discovery to work after editing the .config file.  All appeared to be working with the exception of the Configuration Databases and Content Databases

Difficult to guess what's the real problem just seeing the screenshot. But can you check if you are requesting the script files from correct location? Sometimes maybe you are looking script from different site collection/url. Also is there's any possibility
that users are browsing as anonymous or maybe the requires sharepoint scripts are not loaded beforehand.

  • JS Ajax Call return 'Access Denied' for Rest Call

    Hello Everyone,
I I am building one application where I need to pull the data from Eloqua using REST API, when I am using Java, I am able to fetch the data, but whereas when I applying the same logic in JS Ajax Call am receiving 'Access Denied', Can any one help us to understand the issue here, whats going wrong here.

mortecouille wrote:Similarly, I cannot enable/disable services. The couple of times I booted with systemd with initscripts and sysvinit still installed, systemd used rc.conf's NETWORK to start the network. Now that I've removed it, it tries to start dhcpcd@eth0 whereas I need dhcpcd@eth1. But disabling the first and enabling the other does not work, and if I reboot, systemd is back to trying dhcpcd on eth0.
    Any ideas ?

  • Access Denied using T transactions in portal

We have 2004s, CRM5, and using business package 5.0.  Our single sign on works, our system connection works; with a transaction in the portal, when we click on any of the action buttons such as 'go to', 'new' and others, we get an access denied displayed in the bottom corner of the screen.
Is there an easy fix for this?

Not sure whats causing thi exactly. But still - please check the permission setting in all the iViews got reated from your Business Pakage. You can right click on your Business Package Root folder and say Open -> Permission. There see if the permission is given to your user id or to the Everyone user group. Otherwise you can search for the "Everyone " group and assign read/write permission to them on the root folder - check the End User check box. And after saving apply the same on all the child objects... might solve your problem. But as I said not sure exactly what is returning this access denied error.

  • SharePoint Foundation 2013 and InfoPath Filler 2010

Hello, I am having an issue in which when I click to add a new document created in InfoPatht, I am taken to a page that says the following:
    The webpage cannot be displayed
     Most likely cause:
•Some content or files on this webpage require a program that you don't have installed.
    What you can try:
Search online for a program you can use to view this web content.
      Retype the address.
Go back to the previous page.
I confirmed that Office SP2 is installed on the machine. If I click on new document, on a machine that has InfoPath Filler 2013, it works fine. However, the users have InfoPath Filler 2010. The site has been added to the Local intranet and the trust on the
form is set to Domain trust.
Any Ideas as to what might be causing this???

Hello, if I remember correctly the issue was that I created the form with InfoPath 2013 and was trying to test using InfoPath 2010. This does not work.
Did you create the form using InfoPath 2013?

  • SharePoint 2010 and Office 2013 Can't edit documents

    Hello
I have built a desktop image with Office 2013. I am receiving the following error when I click on a document in a SharePoint library and click "Edit in Microsoft Word" (the problem is not limited to Word):
The document could not be opened for editing. A Microsoft SharePoint Foundation compatible application could not be found to edit the document.
    I have tried the following:
Ensuring the "WebClient" service is running
Ensuring the site is in the "Local Intranet" zone
Checking the "SharePoint OpenDocuments Class" add-on is loaded
Making sure Internet Explorer is not running in 64-bit mode
    Manually re-registering OWSSUPP.DLL
Ensuring the SharePoint Foundation integration components are installed
    Repairing Microsoft Office
The document sometimes loads succesfully but not always. When it will and won't load seems quite random. I am at a complete loss as to why this is!
I am running the following on my client:
    Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 (x64)
Office Professional Pro Plus 2013 (VL)
If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate this.

This took a lot of tracking down!!!!
The issue is with Office 2013. Someone at Microsoft has hardcoded what I think maybe the US local into a registry key request!!! Just brilliant!!
The key in question is: HKCR\Installer\Components\55EAFA0B8A4403B428FDE038B252C621\x86\2057
    2057 is the US local
However we are not in the US !! Our local is 1033. So the key that exists on our PCs is
    HKCR\Installer\Components\55EAFA0B8A4403B428FDE038B252C621\x86\1033
But Microsoft is looking for x86\2057 and that is why it fails - Also, if you are getting it were the document opens first time then errors from then on until IE is restarted -
That is because the first time you make a document call through SharePoint in a new IE session, it calls it differently to subsequent calls. I have verified this by tracing what is going on in the background...
Now due to the nature of the call you cannot just rename they key to be the missing key - we need to create and additional key ending in 2057 with the same value as (in our case x86\1033. So in the end you should have the following keys in place:
    HKCR\Installer\Components\55EAFA0B8A4403B428FDE038B252C621\x86\1033
    HKCR\Installer\Components\55EAFA0B8A4403B428FDE038B252C621\x86\2057
So there goes several hours of my life that I'm never getting back all for some sloppy coding - Thanks MS
To everyone else who has been suffering from this problem, time to smile once more :-)

  • Cascading Dropdown Menu with O365 and InfoPath 2013

    Hello
I'm trying to resolve a situation where I have 2 dropdown lists in an InfoPath form on SharePoint for O365.

I have found a good few examples on the web but I cant get them working, I'm wondering if this a snag with the O365 version.
    Many thanks

  • Outlook 2013 and Lync 2013 suddenly cannot run at the same time

We recently switched to Office 365 and up until this month's Tuesday Patch Day, everything was working great. As soon as I installed the patches from 3/12/2013. Ever since then I've had the following issue:
    Launch Outlook 2013
    Launch Lync 2013
Get the following dialog box: "Outlook Data File: The file <filename> is in use and cannot be accessed. Close any application that is using this file, and then try again. You might need to restart your computer."
Click Ok to dismiss the dialog box. Everything seems to function normally.
About three minutes later I get the following dialog box: "We're sorry, but Outlook has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. Outlook will need to be closed as a result. Would you like us to repair now?"
Click Close. Everything seems to function normally.
Steps taken to attempt to a fix:
I deleted the Outlook profile and recreated it from scratch. No improvement.
I rebooted the machine. No improvement.
I repaired the Outlook data file. No improvement.
    Other notes:
If I start Outlook 2013 by itself, it works fine and no dialog boxes.
If I start Lync 2013 by itself, it works fine and no dialog boxes.

    Hi all,
I had the same problem as the original poster, and I fixed it using the method I'm about to describe.  First, let me state that I am using a volume-license version of Office 2013 Standard, installed the conventional way ... we are not using the desktop
apps available with Office 365 plans E3+E4 or "Midsize Business".
I had originally installed Lync 2013 using a 'streaming' installer that you find by logging into the Office 365 Portal site -> Office 365 Settings -> Software -> Lync -> Install.
That installer does not work with the version of Office 2013 I'm using.  I uninstalled Lync, and reinstalled using the links below:
    (32-bit):
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35451
    (64-bit):
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35450
The version of Lync that you choose (32-bit or 64-bit) has to match the version of Office 2013 you already have installed.  Upon installing the 64-bit version of Lync at the URL above, the error message "Outlook
Data File: The file <filename> is in use and cannot be accessed." disappeared and Outlook and Lync now happily cooperate.

  • App-V 5.0: Adding Visio 2013 and Project 2013 to a previously deployed virtual Office 2013

    Good morning.
I can successfully deploy Office 2013 via PowerShell and App-V v5.0 without difficulty.  I've read the document at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2915745/en-us and followed all instructions successfully.
My question is this:  If Office 2013 without Visio 2013 or Project 2013 is virtually deployed, how can those components be added later?
For instance, we may have 100 users that acquire a virtualized Office 2013 without Project or Visio.  We then may have 25 users that require a virtualized Office and Visio without Project and, perhaps, another 15 that require Office and Project without
    Visio.
Currently, when I attempt a second virtual deployment of one of these components, it removes Office 2013 making it inaccessible.
How can Project and/or Visio be deployed to an already existing virtually deployed Office 2013?
    Thanks very much.
    John

As a part of MDOP, you'll also have access to UE-V which will provide a mechanism of moving user preferences across the same applications from difference packages.
It will require planning, configuration and deployment, but will ensure you don't face the same issue in the future.
