Access Level for Nutrient Profile

I have a question for Nutrient Profile. According to the User Manual, in the Summary Tab in the Summary Information section there is a field called ‘Access Level’. What is this used for?
Our users have concerns over using the Nutrient Profile and LIO because it can be changed in so many places and there is no versioning/revision info associated with that. So, if there was some access security built around it that could control who could change this data where it might make it a more attractive feature to the users.

I believe that the Access Level field is used as part of the Object Level Security functionality.
If you are wanting to lock down Edit permissions for certain sections of the Nutrient Profile, you can look at the Section Level Editing feature. This is documented, along with reference examples, in the Extensibility Pack, in the ReferenceImplementations\SectionLevelEditing folder.

  • Access level for Tab

    Hi,
How can i define security level for each tab?
i have set of users and i want a particular tab to be displayed to certain users only not to all users.
i have already defined access privilege for the particular tab in the Advance option for tab granting privilege to specific user and also specified that this particular tab should not inherit privilege from the page, but still the tab is displayed to all the users.
    regards,
    Sunil

I also have this problem. I am using Portal 10.1.2.0.2.
I've set up two groups (systema_users and systemb_users) and have set up two tabs, each of which should be only accessible to one of these groups. However, no matter which user I log in as, I can see both tabs regardless of which group the user belongs to. On each tab I have set access to 'Specify Access Settings' and have specified the appropriate group, with the Customize Portlets (Full) privilege, since I need them to be able to customise the content of the tab. What am I missing here?

  • LDAP access levels for wireless users

How is it possible if I want my Directory Server 5.2 to authenticate only few number of users to have wireless and dial-up access. LDAP should not permit the other users when they try to login by wireless or dial-up. But everyone should be authenticated when they try to login through a direct ethernet connection. Currently all my users are under ou=people.

    Hi,
Directly-connected APs are supported in 7.4 code, if you are not on that code then
The PoE Ports are not for the APs
Ports 3 and 4 are PoE only ports; do not connect access point devices to these ports. The ports can be used for infra-switch connection using multiple an AP-Manager or data interface
Connect port 1 to a trunk port on the switch.
configure the native vlan ON THE TRUNKPORT only eg vlan 10
Let's assume your wireless is on vlan 10 and your WLC2504 is 10.10.10.20 /24 gateway 10.10.10.1
Enable and Configure DHCP scope for vlan 10
The APs are then connected to a vlan 10 access port on the switch
    Configure the SSID
    DHCP server tips
    - enable bridging mode if using the controller as the DHCP server, otherwise disable it.
    - if using other DHCP server and the DHCP server is in the same vlan as the controller, nothing further is needed.
    - if DHCP server is on another vlan, you will need to configure option 43 (vendor specific into)
Check with these configuration it will hopefully fix your issue.

  • Access Level Management for Lync2013

In Microsoft Communicator 2007, there was an option to set the 'Access Level Management' as a global setting. Is this feature still available in Lync 2013 apart from setting the 'Access Levels' for each contact individually.
Since we migrated from Microsoft Communicator 2007 to Lync2013 and we needed to change some 'Access Levels', I wasn't able to do so. So would like to check if this feature can be enabled or disabled at the global level.
Thanks. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

    Frieda

    Hi,
In Lync 2013, you can view the contact in turn of Relationship as following:
You can modify the relationship of the contact by right click the contact, and choose "Change Privacy Relationship", then you can choose the relationship you want such as Workgroup, Blocked Contacts.

  • SRKIM: R12: Concurrent Report Access Level

    PURPOSE
    EXPLANATION
    • Permission "Submit Request"
    • Permission "View Request"
    • Permission Set "Request Operations" containing the permissions "Submit Request"
    and "View Request"
    • Object "Concurrent Programs"
    • Object Instance Set "Programs that can be accessed"
    • Object Instance Set "Request sets that can be accessed"
    4) Object Data Context 에서 "Instance Set" 을 선택 후 "Programs that can be accessed" 이나 Request Sets that can be accessed 를 선택 한다.
    Viewing Requests
    • All requests submitted by a user
    • All requests submitted by a user for a given application
    • All requests belonging to a program submitted by a user
    • All requests belonging to a request set submitted by a user (irrespective of the constituent programs' owning application) to another user (or a group of users - via a role).

  • Managing "Access Levels" on a domain level from Lync 2010 client

    Hello,
Our company moved from Office Communicator 2007 R2 clients to Lync 2010 clients.
Previously in Office Communicator 2007 R2 client, it was possible to set default Access Levels for complete domains (instead of individual users only), using the Access Level Management view.
In the Lync 2010 this options seems to be missing. The management options per user are still there (by right-clicking a user), but the access to manage it for a domain is no longer visible.
Is there any way to manage Access Levels for domains, in a similar way we had in Communicator 2007? It appears that Lync 2010 stilluses the Access Levels set previously for domains, but users do no longer have any possibility to make further updates,
and are stuck (from their perspective at least) with the settings made in 2007 before.
    Thanks.

Lync 2010 doesn’t have the feature natively.
With Lync Server 2010, by default, the contacts from federated domains are added as External Contacts.

  • Security and access levels

I have created 4 users access levels, however, when I try to implement, when I keep inheritence, default security keeps coming up,   e.g. try changing everyone to my new access level and I get the new access level, but I also get view (inherited) - how can I "clean out" the old security settings??

    Sorry for the delay!
    OK, here's our situation - it's pretty straight forward;
    1500 users
    1500 (all) users in Everyone
    Of the 1500 users in Everyone;
    1200 in subgroup A
    200 in subgroup B
    90 in subgroup C
    10 users in Administrators
    4 universes
    1 connection
    Goal:
Everyone and subgroups, same as admin, exception: can't delete or save to "corp" doc's.  My thought is to use same access level, then use the advanced configuration on the folders to prevent everyone from deleting any "corp docs"
    I have applied this access level to everyone and admin at;
application > infoview, webi. cmc, deski, discussions, search
    universes > all 4
    connections > the 1
folders > root folder,  level 1, denied access to everyone accordingly on level 2
I have also added this access level to the top level security for users and groups
    Issues;
    1. When I check the access level for everyone on folders, level 1 and below, I get the custom access level as inherited, but also view aslo as inherited.
    2. The users added to the admin group do not have same rights as the "administrator - for example, administrator can delete objects in the folders, but other users (within admin group) can not?  if I manually add the users to the folders, I can get this to work,  but doesn;t make sense, why would a user within a group have different rights, than any other user within the same group, with the same rights???
    Hope this helps!

  • Can not assign custom access level with a user login

    Hi,
I am using Business objects XiR3. When I am loging in with a user having full control access and then I select a folder added a principal from user sercurity and when I am trying to add custom access level it gave me error
An error occurred at the server during security batch commit: Request 0 of type 38 failed with server error : You do not have sufficient rights to make the requested security changes.
it allow me to give access to standard access levels. also when I tried to assign custom access level with administrator user, it assigns custom access level to a principal without error.
Can any body tell me what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance,
    Rajendra

    Hi Rajendra,
You have to make sure that the user group has the right 'Use access level for security assignment' assigned as granted on the access level you created. You can find this right under System / Access Level. That should do the trick!
    Hope this helps...

  • QaaWS Access Level

    All,
I am setting up access level for users in the production environment for QaaWS tool. All users can view QaaWS in production, but they CAN'T create/modify/delete QaaWS in production. What access level do I need to enable this?
I tried to use the "View" access level out-of-the box, but I got this "You are not authorized to design or edit a query. Please contact your administrator (QWS 02718)."  If I use "Full Control" access level, the user can login fine, but the issue is that user can create/modify/delete QaaWS in production. I am puzzled as to what access level can give me the view ability...
    Please advise...
    thanks...

qaaws is a query tool designed for editing wsdl's. If you grant view that is most likley for infoview not for opening with the client. So I believe this is by design. If you do not get anyone to verify this then I'd suggest opening a case with support admin team so they can test it and verify that for you.

    Tim

  • Access Level - Granted vs Effective

I created an ACL with an ACE that grants "Discover" and "GetContent" to a specific DirectoryGroup. However, users who are NOT members of that DirectoryGroup can see the document that uses that ACL. I wrote some code to display the Granted and Effective Access Levels for that user and ACL, and I get "NONE" for Granted but "Discover", "GetContent" for Effective! Obviously, something isn't working right, but it appears that the ACL is setup correctly.
The ACL is setup as a shared ACL, created by user "system".

I just face this problem this week.
I will have to look at your code, but what I realize is this :
// test the actual access level for current user.
    myPublicObject.checkEffectiveAccess(AccessLevel.ACCESSLEVEL_CREATE);
// test the actual access level for current user.
    myPublicObject.getAcl().checkGrantedAccess(AccessLevel.ACCESSLEVEL_CREATE)
The confusion here is cause by the fact that ACL Object is a subclass of PUBLICOBJECT. The ACL subclass inherit the function checkEffectiveAccess from the PublicObject API and that function will check the AccessLevel on the ACLObject and not on the PublicObject.
    myPublicObject.getAcl().checkEffectiveAccess(AccessLevel.ACCESSLEVEL_CREATE);
the documentation is not very clear on that.

  • IBE: Items Per Page for Display profile at Responsibility level

    Hi,
we would like to have different number of items per page for different sites. We thought we would achieve it by setting profile "IBE: Items Per Page for Display" at the responsibility level and have unique responsibilities to access different sites.
However, I saw that by default profile "IBE: Items Per Page for Display" is not visible at the responsibility level. Can I alter it to be visible at responsibility level in the profile definition and then set it at the responsibility level?
    Kindly help.

I tried to change at SERV level and still the profile never gets updated. Kindly help.

    Hi again
Well, here's the way it may work for a compiled .CHM setup.
If you are using compiled .CHM files, I'm guessing your software is
modular. Meaning that at the time it is installed, the user has
options of choosing between the following modules:
    Module 1
    Module 2 - 9
    Module 10
In this setup, you would create help that is generic that all
modules would need. That one would be the Master. Then you would
create separate projects for the remaining modules. You would then
provide it all to the person that handles the installation program
for your application. That person would then handle configuring the
installer application so that only help for the actually installed
modules is installed. If a module has been excluded, help is not
installed for that module and doesn't appear and is not available
    to the user.
Hopefully that makes sense to you. If not, ping back and I or
someone else will take a stab at another explanation.
    Cheers... Rick

    Hi,
That sounds like a job for the COUNT function.  Count how many of those groups each user is in, and pick the opnes where the count is 4.
Since I don't have a copy of your table, I'll use the scott.emp table (which almost everybody has) to illustrate.
Say we want to find which jobs are in each of the depatments 10, 20 and 30:
    SELECT    job
    FROM      scott.emp
    WHERE     deptno IN (10, 20, 30)
    GROUP BY  job
HAVING    COUNT (DISTINCT deptno) = 3
    Output:
    JOB
    CLERK
    MANAGER
It doesn't matter if the same job appears in other departments or not; only rows with the given deptnos (10, 20 and 30) are considered.
