At the end of the migration process, when the modify access
database step, the following error ocurs:
An error ocurred (3011)which is untrapped and probably unknown to
the aplication. Please report this to Oracle Support.

Hi Josep !
I need to know the following information
what version of the wizard are you using ?
on what platform are you running the wizard ?
Also, please read the online help on how to set Debug mode on.
This will cause a Debug.log file to be generated and reading it's
contents may help you in determining the exact problem.
When the wizard is working on the 'modify ms access' part of the
migration it uses the Oracle odbc driver installed to do it's
work. There have been a number of problems with the Oracle odbc
driver shipped with the wizard.
If you are using the 8.0.4 version of the wizard try installing
any ODBC driver version equal to or greater than v8.0.5.4.0 and
rerun the migration.
If you are using the 8.1.5 version of the wizard try installing
any ODBC driver version equal to or greater than v8.1.5.3.0 and
rerun the migration.

Access Migration Error Creating Migration Project - string literal too long

I get this error when attempting to create an MS Access Migration Project:
ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK Error. ORA-20001: GET_STMT error. ORA-20001: Execution of the statement was unsuccessful. ORA-06550: line 8, column 8: PLS-00172: string literal too long &lt;pre&gt;begin &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;declare &amp;lt;br&amp;gt; p varchar(32767) := null; &amp;lt;br&amp;gt; l_clob clob; &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;begin &amp;lt;br&amp;gt; dbms_lob.createtemporary(l_clob,FALSE, dbms_lob.session); &amp;lt;br&amp;gt; dbms_lob.open(l_clob,dbms_lob.lob_
I suspected the 'string literal too long' was due to a very long code section in the Exporter .sql file -
So I edited out that code except - essentially by cutting the macro code within the quotes, cutting down that code module.
Same error.
Any suggestions on what else may be causing this?

I found it - two other big long ugly macros that I had to cut out as well. Then the migration project created just fine. Thanks for the moral support :)

Access migration - error handling field default value "=Now()"

Hi All,
I'm doing an Access - Oracle Migration.
I've exported the structure, captured the model and generated the SQL.
When I run the SQL I get:
SQL Error: ORA-00907: missing right parenthesis
00907. 00000 - "missing right parenthesis"
It looks like it's related to a default value in Access of =Now()
The access table has a field "Creation Date" type Date/Time and default Value =Now()
The generated SQL looks like this:
CREATE TABLE Offer_Detail (
HotDealID NUMBER(11,0) NOT NULL,
Creation_Date DATE DEFAULT 0w(),
Which causes the error message.
If I change this to:
CREATE TABLE Offer_Detail (
HotDealID NUMBER(11,0) NOT NULL,
Creation_Date DATE DEFAULT SYSDATE,
it succeeds.
I'm using SQL Developer 1.2.1.3213 with extension "Oracle Migration Workbench - MS Access" version 10.2.0.32.13

Migration Error from Access to Oracle through SQL Developer.

Oracle Migration Tool giving Access denied error for Read operation

Oracle Migration tool is giving access denied error when we are trying to Read a record for Access Profiles.
We are getting (SBL-ODS-50085) error.This is happening only for few records(Access Profiles).
Although the user role is administrator having full access and privilege (Manage User and Access checked).

Does it happen when you try to read "any" Access Profile?
If yes, please have a look at the
"Admin: Users and Access Controls - Manage Users and Access - Manage Users and establish User Quotas. Define Access Profiles, Roles and Groups to manage data access controls." privilege in the role of the user you use for migration.
In order to avoid any problem, I usually create a "Migration" role temporarily and assign this role ALL the privileges to avoid such failures at the time of export.

Error "creating file: 1008:5, -5000 Access Denied Error"

I'm unable to install Flash Player 9 in OS X (10.4.8). I
followed the following tech note:

* I uninstalled Flash Player using the uninstaller
* I repaired disk permissions
* I tried re-installing Flash Player
I still get the error message saying I don't have the
appropriate permissions.
Some background: I'm upgrading from a G5 tower to a new Mac
Pro. I ran the migration utility to copy over my user settings,
apps, etc. I noticed that pages with Flash were crashing the
browser(s) instantly. Of course, that's because the PowerPC version
was previously installed. I uninstalled and tried to re-install.
When I got the above error, searched the support area and found the
tech note saying to uninstall (done), repair permissions (done),
then re-install (fails.)
I'm stumped.
Any suggestions?

I have the same problem, after trying more than a few times
to install the
player, uninstall it, uninstall the Firefox 2, reinstall
Firefox... with the
same result : it says that I need a plugin, and put me to the
page of the Flash
player installer...
I had this new error message after erasing, as it was

Access Exporter: Error #7866

Howdy all (and hey there, sspadafore! It feels different being on the OUTSIDE again.. :) ),
Forgive me if this has been covered before (or elsewhere), but I was unable to find anything relevant by searching the forums and OTN.
I'm trying to import the sample Microsoft Access databases available from Microsoft (for example, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=7A50205E-A29B-4A43-8508-78E549ECD14C&displaylang=en), via Access 2003, and am getting the following error message:
Error # 7866 - XMLExporter - Microsoft Office Access can't open the database because it is missing, or opened exclusively by another user .. (path-to-mdb-file) Database Schema Export did not complete successfully.
I'm on Windows XP SP2, Access 2003 SP2, and OMW Exporter version 10.2.0.1.0 (which shipped with the pre-release APEX migration utility), and there are no other users on the system that would be using the file. To make matters worse, the same error is reported for every MDB file I try to export. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this problem?

Not so much. "Highly sensitive environments," and all. This workstation is actually pretty lenient for this environment -- which is a bummer, because I was hoping to demonstrate this type of Access migration to the customer to convince them to use Application Express as a database consolidation/departmental application hosting environment, rather than Microsoft SharePoint (ick).
If anyone has any internal insights into the tool (or Access in general), and can explain what the 7866 error is, and what steps can be taken to work around it, I'd be much obliged!

ACCESS MIGRATION

When migrating a database from Access to Oracle, and using NOT the "Quick Migration" (doing the whole thing from scratch), I notice an error (a logic one) in the generated trigger statement for simulating the auto-incremental field functionality.
Firstly, in some conditions, the triggers gets into an almost infinite loop, only stoping when reachs the upper limit of the sequence. If I'm not mistaken, it happens when the related table already has some/many records/rows on already (I don't remember).
And secondly, the original trigger logic imposes that the sequence value of 1 (one) will never happen.
Here follows the original trigger code:

Hope you can change these for the next release. I make tens of migrations every month and fixing it manually is sometimes boring and error prone.

Have you changed something on your SharePoint 2007 environment recently before this issue occurred?
This issue may be related to Alternate Access Mappings settings like the following similar post, if you have configured AAM, you can check if this issue happened to some URLs, if it's the case, please add the problematic URLs as a Publish URLs for the default
zone for your web application, and also add these URLs as trusted locations, then check results again.
If above doesn't work, please enable ULS log on verbose level to get more useful log errors which time are corresponding to the errors occur.

Access denied error while writing a file to the file system - myfileupload.saveas() throws system.unauthorizedexception

hi,
as part of my requirement , i have to perform read and write operations of few files [ using the file upload control in my custom visual web part] and on submit button click.
but while writing these files - with the help of fileupload control - and when i use myfileupload.saveas(mylocation);
- i am saving these files into my D:\ drive of my server , where i am executing my code -, am getting access denied error.
it throws system.unauthorizedexception.
i have given full control on that folder where i was trying to store my attached files. and also after following asp.net forums,
i have added iusr group added and performed all those steps such that, the file is saved in my D:\ drive.
but unfortunately that didnt happen.
also
a) i am trying the code with runwithelevatedprivileges(delegate() ) code
b) shared the drive within the d :drive where i want o save the files.
c) given the full privieleges for the app pool identity- in my case , its
network service.
the other strange thing is that, the same code works perfectly in other machine, where the same sp, vs 2012 etc were installed .
would like to know, any other changes/ steps i need to make it on this server, where i am getting the error.
help is appreciated!

MII 14.0 SP4 :Migration error while importing SAP BM Templates

Hi Experts,
I am facing some migration errors while importing SAP Batch Manufacturing Templates into MII 14.0 SP4.
There are almost 23 transactions which are not getting imported and the error message for all of them is-
"Unable to migrate transaction Unable to import file
<Name of the Transaction>"
Any first hand experiences will be really helpful for me to proceed further.

Hi All,
Got the solution. The STARTUP.BAT file is been placed in the installation directory(usr/sap) and then it works fine. Also I have installed the patches and all working fine.

Access Denied error (code 5)

I am using server 2008 r2 sp1 while installing any windows update or my sql I am getting error code 5 access denied
and i am installing with Admin ID. What can be the reason?

I'm trying to set up a basic read, write and delete code for XML files which I can build upon in the future. The three methods are bound to three buttons on the page and all three calls are awaited. Here's my code:

When I tap each of the buttons once it all seems to work. But when I tap any of the buttons again within the same debug session I get an Access denied exception (E_ACCESSDENIED). Other people with this error had to await when calling their method, but I'm
already doing that: private async void btnWrite_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { await WriteToXMLFile(); }, etc.
And the intervals between my taps isn't that short that you'd expect that the previously called method still had not finished completing. I don't understand why I'm getting the access denied error.
Related to my question: I have added XML to the File Type Associations, File Open Picker and File Save Picker in the appxmanifest, but somewhere I read that you do not need to do this if you're working with local app data only. Is this true?

Access Denied error on Registry Key with CRXIR2A SP6

We ship now the latest CRXI version (2ASP6) with our application. One of our users (Win7 Home SP1) gets an error on instantiating a report. Using ProcMon.exe this seems to be caused by an Access Denied error when accessing the HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal Reports key. What can be the cause?

I had to take ownership and then change persmissions to full. The problem did not go away however. As I noticed that the register key mentioned did not contain any subkeys I tried to remove it. This again failed because of persmission denied error. Funnily some subkeys suddenly showed up. I took ownership, changed permissions and tried again. Lo and behold the subkeys I tried to delete (and in which no subkeys were visible) suddenly showed more subkeys. At this point I stopped fearing that I was damaging the client's computer. The subkeys were related to the RAS server. Does that say anyting to you?
