Access the oparational attribute 'entryUUID' of an ldap entry

How can I access the oparational attribute 'entryUUID' of an ldap entry? Does someone have a sample code fragment?

Attributes attribs = initLdapCtx.getAttributes(fullName, new String[]{"+"});
This is for OpenLDAP only, because it's the only server I know which supports "+" meaning "all Attributes".
For other Servers you might need to specify the entryUUID Attibute explicitly in the String Array. But be aware that this Attribute might have different Names on different Servers.

Peter

  • Accessing Terminal Services Attributes from Active Directory LDAP property userParameters

    After many years of complaints, Microsoft has done little to address the overwhelming outcry for information on the accessing the Terminal Services properties through LDAP.
    I found this document that fully describes the Encode/Decode mechanism for the userParameters attribute.
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff635189.aspx
    The property is used for more than terminal services, but even Microsoft is confused about it's use it would seem.  I won't go into details, but for all those trying to access the terminal services attributes, this document should help.
    I have not yet converted the mapping into a JAVA module, so please don't ask for help.  I just need a more public place to put this, than the currently buried location at microsoft, to make for easier retrieval from the web community of java developers.

    Hi,
    What about other changed attributes? Are other attributes retrieved by DirSync control turn to be encrypted form?

  • Accessing the session attributes in targeting rules

    Hello,
    Can I somehow access to the session during the creating of targeting rules? For example, if an attribute that should be used in the rule is stored in session? Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Yury.

    Define a session scoped component and define all you session attributes as properties to that component.
    Now you can expose that component a trageting source which will enable that component to be shown in targeting rule.
    This is done by defining /atg/targeting/TargetingSourceMap.sourceMap as:
    sourceMap+=MyComp=/MyCompPath
    Refer "Setting Up a TargetingSourceMap Service" section of Personalization Programming guide for detail

    Hi,
    Is ZYBTT a new attribute? Have you changed the status of the attribute to implemented or released (in SWO1: Edit -> Change release status)?
    And actually I think that your syntax is wrong too (BOR world is different compared to classes). If you want to use an attribute, I think that the syntax should be something like this:
    SWC_GET_PROPERTY <Object> <Attribute> <AttributeValue>.

  • Accessing the attributes of a class using field symbols?

    An option to pulll a variable into a user exit that otherwise would be out of reach is detailed [here|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/208811b0-00b2-2910-c5ac-dd2c7c50c8e8]

  • How to access the attributes from a method

    Hi,
    Thanks to all who replied to my previous thread. Please let me know how to access the attributes in method of component controller in the view.
    Let Component_method be my method in component controller which contrains few attributes like this
    method component_method.
    data : node1 type ref to if_wd_context_node,
            itab type standard type of mara.
    endmethod.
    I want to access the above attributes in method of view.
    method view1.
    wd_comp_controller->method_component( ).
    ????? how to access the data of the method_component?
    endmethod.
    Kindly help me out in the syntax.
    Rgrds
    Mahathi

    Hi mahathi
    You should define the parameters in the header, not in the body of the method:
    You can define it as importing, exporting, changing or returning, as you need. For example, in SE80
    Parameter             Cl.declar.          RefTo        Opt        Type ref
    node1                    importing            X                          if_wd_context_node
    itab                       exporting                                        mara
    method_component().
    " code here...
    endmethod.
    and when you have to call the method,
    wd_comp_controller->method_component(
                    EXPORTING     node1 = nodelocal   " not importing!!!
                    IMPORTING      itab   = itablocal      " not exporting!!!
    i think that it's this what you want, don't i?

  • Error accessing constnt public attribute of a class in an overwrite method.

    Hi Gurus,
    I am facing an error while accessing a constant public attribute while using it in the overwrite-exit of a methods.
    The constant which is declared as public in the attribute section of the class is not available in the overwrite-exit of the method.
    Please suggest me how to access the public attributes in the overwtire exits of the methods.
    Thanks.

    Hi Ramneek,
    Let me explain you the entire scenario:
    Actually we are trying to ehance the SAP standard class : CL_FITV_POWL_FEEDER_TRIPS in ECC 6.0 EHP 5 .
    We tried to create and overwrite-exit of the method "IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_ACTIONS".
    Overwrite-exit of a method is just like a method which will be called instead of the standard method : IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_ACTIONS.
    But the problem which we are facing here is that the Attributes which are defined in the class CL_FITV_POWL_FEEDER_TRIPS,  are getting accessed from the overwrite-exit method.
    Becuase of this we are not able to implement our custom logic.

  • How to access the parent class variable or object in java

    Hi Gurus,
    I encounter an issue when try to refer to parent class variable or object instance in java.
    The issue is when the child class reside in different location from the parent class as shown below.
    - ClassA and ClassB are reside in xxx.oracle.apps.inv.mo.server;
    - Derived is reside in xxx.oracle.apps.inv.mo.server.test;
    Let say ClassA and ClassB are the base / seeded class and can not be modified. How can i refer to the variable or object instance of ClassA and ClassB inside Derived class.
    package xxx.oracle.apps.inv.mo.server;
    public class ClassA {
        public int i=10;
    package xxx.oracle.apps.inv.mo.server;
    public class ClassB extends ClassA{

    import xxx.oracle.apps.inv.mo.server.ClassB;
    public class Derived extends ClassB {
        int i=30;
        public Derived() {
           System.out.println(this.i);                  // this will print 30
           System.out.println(((ClassB)this).i);  // error, but this will print 20 if Derived class located in the same location as ClassB
           System.out.println(((ClassA)this).i);  // error, but this will print 20 if Derived class located in the same location as ClassA
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            Derived d = new Derived();
    Many thanks in advance,
    Fendy

    Hi ,
    You cannot  access the controller attribute instead create an instance of the controller class and access the attribute in the set method
    OR create a static method X in the controller class and store the value in that method. and you can access the attribute by
    Call method class=>X
    OR if the attribute is static you can access by classname=>attribute.

  • Controlling access to display attributes that are also characteristics

    In earlier versions of BI an authorization relevant characteristic (such as profit center) could be secured in navigation but could be made visible universally by creating a second authorization object for the characteristic and granting * access for the second object and restricted access for the first. As long as one authorization object for the characteristic had * access the display attribute was visible but one could still control navigation and selection. Now that authorization objects are no longer created what mechanism would be used to allow restrictions on navigation while keeping access open for a display attribute?
    For those that are having trouble seeing where this might be relevant: consider a cube that has both  consolidation unit and a profit center characteristics that are both authorization relevant. They are not exactly orthogonal for business reasons (especially at the node level) but someone who is reporting on the profit center characteristic may want to see what consolidation unit that the profit center belongs to. The consolidation unit is also a display attribute of the profit center but the user may not be authorized for the entire consolidation unit. Without authorization he cannot see the display attribute. There is no authorization issue for the attribute display but there is a restriction for the consolidation unit as a whole. The user can summarize over the CU ( only.   How is this allowed in the latest versions that use analysis authorizations and not authorization objects?

    Good afternoon Corwin,
    Have a look at SAP Note 761089 - point 4 might be helpful. It may be that you haven't given the users enough authorisations to see and use the attributes.

    Karen

  • Access to class-attribute by Interface-reference

    Hi OO-Gurus,
    I use an implementation of BADI ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST to fill and handle user-defined fields in the MM-Purchase-Requisition, method IF_EX_ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST~OPEN.
    There I  use a reference variable which refers to an interface (type ref to IF_PURCHASE_REQUISITION_ITEM) to access the item-object. My problem is that I need to have access to the class-attribute my_state. The corresponding class lcl_req_item is defined locally (LMEREQF01). So I can’t use  a reference variable with reference to this class (so widening cast using the interface-reference is not possible) .. Does anyone know a trick how to access the class-attribute anyway?
    Coding:
      data:  l_item_list       TYPE MMPUR_REQUISITION_ITEMS,
               l_item             TYPE MMPUR_REQUISITION_ITEM,
               l_item_akt       TYPE mereq_item,
               l_item_ref        TYPE ref to IF_PURCHASE_REQUISITION_ITEM.
      l_item_list = im_header->get_items().
      loop at l_item_list into l_item.
        l_item_akt = l_item-item->get_data( ).
        l_item_ref = l_item-item.
      endloop.
    (Debugging the code, I manage by doubleclicking the fieldcontent of l_item_ref (e.g ) to show the content of the class-attribute my_state. This works only if the field “Interface” in the Debugger is empty because then I see the attributes of the class. If the field Interface is filled with “IF_PURCHASE_REQUISITION_ITEM”, there aren’t any attributes shown.)
    Thanks in advance for your kind help!!
    Nicole

    Hello Nicole
    The following sample coding shows you how to solve your problem. Please do not ask me how I came across this solution.
    However, if you are studying it carefully you may stumble across a most beautiful property of field-symbols as I did.

        <ls_item>       TYPE mereq_item,
        <ls_itemx>      TYPE mereq_itemx.
      l_item_list = im_header->get_items( ).
      LOOP AT l_item_list INTO l_item.
        l_item_akt = l_item-item->get_data( ).
        l_item_ref = l_item-item.

  • Error using the JNDI Attributes interface on LDAP

    I'm having a problem accessing an objects attributes on an LDAP server.
    Encountered the following naming exception: ' javax.naming.CommunicationException: Bad file descriptor [Root exception is java.io.IOException: Bad file descriptor]; remaining name '' '
    This occurs when executing the line:
    DirContext ctx = (DirContext)initialContext.lookup(name);
    initialContext is a valid Context which has already been instantiated, and name is a valid String value.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,

    What initial context factory and ldap you are using? They have different formats for files. So even your name is a valid String name it may be in wrong format. You should check it out. Follow the specified format.

  • How can I access the Attribute Values from the Search Region

    Hi all,
    I have a table which contains Company id, department id, and PositonId. For a particular Company and Department there may be multiple records.
    I have to pupulate a table which contains the position and other details that comes under a particular Department and Position based on the selection in the Three comboBoxes.
    Also I have to populate a select many Shuttle to add new postions and records under a particular Department.
    I created a query panel *(Search Region)* for the serch and a table to display the data. That is working fine.
    Now the issue is I am using a view criteria to populate the shuttle with two bind variables ie, DepartmentId and CompanyId.
    If the serach will return a resuktant set in the table it will also pupulate the correct records, otherwise ie, if the if the serch result is empty the corresponding iterator and the attribute is setting as null.
    SO I want to access the attribute values from the Search Region itsef to populate the shuttle.
    I don't know how can I access the data from the Search Region.
    Please Help.
    Regards,
    Ranjith

    you could access the parameters entered in search region by the user as follows:
    You can get handle to the value entered by the user using queryListener method in af:query.
    You can intercept the values entered as described
    public void onQueryList(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
    // The generated QueryListener replaced by this method
    //#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}
    QueryDescriptor qdes = queryEvent.getDescriptor();
    //get the name of the QueryCriteria
    System.out.println("NAME "+qdes.getName());
    List<Criterion> searchList = qdes.getConjunctionCriterion().getCriterionList();
    for ( Criterion c : searchList) {
    if (c instanceof AttributeCriterion ) {
    AttributeCriterion a = (AttributeCriterion) c;
    a.getValues();
    for ( Object o : a.getValues()){
    System.out.println(o.toString());
    //call default Query Event
    invokeQueryEventMethodExpression("#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}",queryEvent);
    public void onQueryTable(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
    // The generated QueryListener replaced by this method
    //#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}
    QueryDescriptor qdes = queryEvent.getDescriptor();
    //get the name of the QueryCriteria
    System.out.println("NAME "+qdes.getName());
    invokeQueryEventMethodExpression("#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}",queryEvent);
    private void invokeQueryEventMethodExpression(String expression, QueryEvent queryEvent){
    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ELContext elctx = fctx.getELContext();
    ExpressionFactory efactory = fctx.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
    MethodExpression me = efactory.createMethodExpression(elctx,expression, Object.class, new Class[]{QueryEvent.class});
    me.invoke(elctx, new Object[]{queryEvent});
