Access to resultlist

Hello,
How do you access the test results found in "ResultList" which are generated while in the main sequence? When I am back in the SequentialModel sequence I am unable to find the data that was just generated. Actually, I would like to access this information from within a subsequence call (PostUUT Callback). I have thought about the reference that is being used in other subsequence calls (TestReport Callback) but I cannot seem to change the inputs to PostUUT Callback (i.e. add the reference) futhermore if I were able to get the reference in there how would I decode it in LabVIEW?
Thanks,
Kevin

I posted this question to the TestStand List and Sacha sent me a vi that was really close to solving my problem. The key point I was missing was that within the Locals.ResultList[x].TS.SequenceCall.ResultList resided the UUT Result Container(s)! Not the data for each test run for the UUT. I was also missing the method of how to get at that container (via refnum) which is done by using 'GetObjectProperty' This method allowed me to get a refnum for the Locals.ResultList[x].TS.SequenceCall.ResultList in order to obtain the number of elements (where x is the last test number run). Then using 'ResultList[%d].TS.SequenceCall.ResultList[y]' from the Locals.ResultList refnum I was able to extract the actual data from each of the tests run (for example ResultList[%d].TS.S
equenceCall.ResultList[0].TS.StepName) via the 'GetValString' method. Another point, if you are trying this from scratch, is that the first thing you must do is get the renum from the 'Caller' of the subsequence. I am posting a vi to help illustrate...pictures are worth a 1000 words
Hope this helps someone else too...
Kevin

  • Access to ResultList objects from Labview user interface

    Hi!
    I would like to have access to TS Locals.ResultList[] objects from user interface (LV) after test report is generated.
    According to TS Help in this point I can get sequence context for the process model sequence file which posts UIMsg_ModelState_PostProcessingComplete message.
    But objects of my interest are located in context of client sequence file.
    Can I get access to Locals.ResultList objects with use provided model file context?
    Are there another ways to get wanted data?
    I have references to sequence file and execution in this point and tried to use Execution.RunTimeVariables property.
    But could not get wanted data with any supposed lookup string from this object.
    Thanks in advance for any ideas.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    The general idea is the following:
    You have to keep in mind that Locals.ResultList on the model level (callstack) is simply the return value of a sequence call step (MainSequence). Therefore, you will only have this single entry [0].
    To get access to the results of the steps inside you MainSequence (and any other sublevel in the callstack), you have to dig into this callstack using this "root-property":
    Locals.ResultList[0].TS.SequenceCall.ResultList
    hope this helps,
    Norbert

  • Mapping in XI - cannot access Global Container parameters

    Hi all,
    we have the following problem in graphical XI mapping.
    Trying to retrieve the run-time value of a global parameter, we cannot access the value itself (e.g. test using "display queue" menu).
    We use 2 simple user-defined functions (getIdoc and corresponding setIdoc).
    The source code for our custom get/set methods is:
    public String getIdoc(Container container){
    // This is a CUSTOM global parameter set <- cannot get the value itself
    //String codMsgExport = (String) container.getGlobalContainer().getParameter("idoc");
    //return codMsgExport.toString();
    GlobalContainer globalContainer;
    java.util.Map map;
    globalContainer = container.getGlobalContainer();
    map = globalContainer.getParameters();
    // This is a STANDARD global parameter set <- cannot get the value itself, as well
    String headerField = (String) map.get(StreamTransformationConstants.INTERFACE_NAMESPACE);
    return headerField;
    public String setIdoc(String codMsgExport,Container container){
    container.setParameter("idoc", codMsgExport.toString());
    String retValue = (String) container.getGlobalContainer().getParameter("idoc");
    return retValue.toString();
    => anyway, get method returns only blank values (testing by "display queue" with some custom values...)
    It seems as if the parameter is seen, as pointing to a not existing variable - e.g. getParameter("idoczz") - XI runtime returns a NullPointerException.
    Some XI server details:
    Runtime Environment
    Java version: 1.4.2_06
    Java vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc.
    Version
    Service pack: 14
    Release: 30_REL
    Thanks all!

    Hi Sudharshan and Bhavesh,
    I forgot to put a value under the tab PARAMETERS (this is the reason for the blank value, thanks:)).
    Anyway, modifying (run-time by the set function) the standard runtime constant => leads to a get function with a single value returned (out) for "display queue", despite of test valorization: the initial value set under tab PARAMETERS.
    Instead of using the runtime (standard) constant, using my (custom) global variable => leads to NullPointerException ("display queue" for get function) EVEN IF I initialize the variable (e.g. initIdoc() function called once at top-level target message).
    under JAVA_SECTIONS_TOOLTIP button:
    Global Variables
    String idoc;

    idoc = "";
    Clean-Up Section

    public String initIdoc(Container container){

    if ( globalContainer.getParameter("idoc") == null )

  • Accessing container element in the User Defined Function

    Hi All,
    I am accessing a container element in the user defined function.
    But it is not working. Actually i want to split a message(1800 records) into a batch of 200.
    But it goes in a infinite loop.
    Please can you tell me where i am wrong.
    Smita
    The code is :
    public void SplitMsg(String[] a,ResultList result,Container container){
    Object container1;
    String counter;
    int i,j=0;
    container1 = container.getParameter("value");
    if( container1 == null){
    counter  =  "0";
    else {
         counter = container.toString();
         j = Integer.valueOf(counter).intValue();
    for ( i = j ; i <= j + 199 ; i++){
         if ( i  >= a.length){
              container.setParameter("value","9999999");
              break;
         result.addValue(a<i>);
         j += 200;
         counter = Integer.toString(j);
         container.setParameter("value", counter);

    Here is another way to accomplish what you wanted.
    For the target mapping, use this sequence for mapping
    Source element -> removeContext -> Your User-defined Function -> Target Element
    When defining User-Defined Function, select "Cache Queue" option.
    Since you are using removeContext before calling the UserDefined function, your input to the user defined function will be a String array without ResultList.CC.
    Now manipulate the array the way you want it, and build the ResultList result.
    After every 200 records, use method
    void addContextChange().
    This will insert the ResultList.CC at the appropriate places.
    Use Display Queue in the Mapping Editor to see the debug values.

  • In VB how do I pass my low and high limit results from a TestStand Step into the ResultList and how do I retrieve them from the same?

    I am retrieving high and low limits from step results in VB code that looks something like this:
    ' (This occurs while processing a UIMsg_Trace event)
    Set step = context.Sequence.GetStep(previousStepIndex, context.StepGroup)
    '(etc.)
    ' Get step limits for results
    Set oStepProperty = step.AsPropertyObject
    If oStepProperty.Exists("limits", 0&) Then
    dblLimitHigh = step.limits.high
    dblLimitLow = step.limits.low
    '(etc.)
    So far, so good. I can see these results in
    VB debug mode.
    Immediately after this is where I try to put the limits into the results list:
    'Add Limits to results
    call mCurrentExecution.AddExtraResult("Step.Limits.High", "UpperLimit")
    call mCurrentExecution.AddExtraResult("Step.Limits.Low", "LowerLimit")
    (No apparent errors here while executing)
    But in another section of code when I try to extract the limits, I get some of the results, but I do not get any limits results.
    That section of code occurs while processing a UIMsg_EndExecution event and looks something like this:
    (misc declarations)
    'Get the size of the ResultList array
    Call oResultList.GetDimensions("", 0, sDummy, sDummy, iElements, eType)
    'Step through the ResultList array
    For iItem = 0 To iElements - 1
    Dim oResult As PropertyObject
    Set oResult = oResultList.GetPropertyObject("[" & CStr(iItem) & "]", 0)
    sMsg = "StepName = " & oResult.GetValString("TS.StepName", 0) & _
    ", Status = " & oResult.GetValString("Status", 0)
    If oResult.Exists("limits", 0&) Then
    Debug.Print "HighLimit: " & CStr(oResult.GetValNumber("Step.Limits.High", 0))
    Debug.Print "LowLimit: " & CStr(oResult.GetValNumber("Step.Limits.Low", 0))
    End If
    '(handle the results)
    Next iItem
    I can get the step name, I can get the status, but I can't get the limits. The "if" statement above which checks for "limits" never becomes true, because, apparently the limit results never made it to the results array.
    So, my question again is how can I pass the low and high limit results to the results list, and how can I retrieve the same from the results list?
    Thanks,
    Griff

    Griff,
    Hmmmm...
    I use this feature all the time and it works for me. The only real
    difference between the code you posted and what I do is that I don't
    retrieve a property object for each TestStand object, instead I pass the
    entire sequence context (of the process model) then retrieve a property
    object for the entire sequence context and use the full TestStand object
    path to reference sub-properties. For example, to access a step's
    ResultList property called "foo" I would use the path:
    "Locals.ResultList[0].TS.SequenceCall.ResultList[].Foo"
    My guess is the problem has something to do with the object from which
    you're retrieving the property object and/or the path used to obtain
    sub-properties from the object. You should be able to break-point in the
    TestStand sequence editor immediately after the test step in question
    executes, then see the extra results in the step's ResultList using the
    context viewer.
    For example, see the attached sequence file. The first step adds the extra
    result "Step.Limits" as "Limits", the second step is a Numeric Limit (which
    will have the step property of "Limits") test and the third step pops up a
    dialog if the Limits property is found in the Numeric Limit test's
    ResultList. In the Sequence Editor, try executing with the first step
    enalbled then again with the first step skipped and breakpoint on the third
    step. Use the context viewer to observe where the Limits property is added.
    That might help you narrow in on how to specify the property path to
    retrieve the value.
    If in your code, you see the extra results in the context viewer, then the
    problem lies in how you're trying to retrieve the property. If the extra
    results aren't there, then something is wrong in how you're specifying them,
    most likely a problem with the AddExtraResult call itself.
    One other thing to check... its hard to tell from the code you posted... but
    make sure you're calling AddExtraResult on the correct execution object and
    that you're calling AddExtraResult ~before~ executing the step you want the
    result to show up for. Another programmer here made the mistake of assuming
    he could call AddExtraResult ~after~ the step executed and TestStand would
    "back fill" previously executed steps. Thats not the case. Also, another
    mistake he made was expecting the extra results to appear for steps that did
    not contain the original step properties. For example, a string comparison
    step doesn't have a "Step.Limits.High" property, so if this property is
    called out explicitly in AddExtraResult, then the extra result won't appear
    in the string comparison's ResultList entry. Thats why you should simply
    specify "Step.Limits" to AddExtraResul so the Limits container (whose
    contents vary depending on the step type) will get copied to the ResultList
    regardless of the step type.
    I call AddExtraResult at the beginning of my process model, not in a UI
    message handler, so there may be some gotcha from calling it that way. If
    all else fails, try adding the AddExtraResult near the beginning of your
    process model and see if the extra results appear in each step's ResultList.
    Good luck,

  • Partner application access to portal login info

    How can an SSO partner application (Java) tell whether or not a user has logged in to Portal?
    I need to log activity in a public application servlet, so I'd like to log the user as PUBLIC if not logged in or as their actual userid.
    I don't seem to have access to this info until the user has visited a secure part of the app.
    Any pointers would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Rob

    DIY answer ...
    The cludge I used to get round this was ...
    Make a PL/SQL item which displays a Login or Logout link as appropriate, based on the current userid from portal.wwctx_api.get_user.
    The login link goes to a secure portal page called FORCE_LOGIN, passing a URL parameter called nextPageURL which contains the URL of the next page to show after the login is complete. You can use portal.wwpro_api_parameters.get_value( '_pageid', 'a'); to help build the current page URL if you want to retun to the current page.
    The FOIRCE_LOGIN page contains a PL/SQL item which builds an IFRAME whos src is a URL to my app servlet ForceLoginServlet, passing on the nextPageURL parameter. Use portal.wwpro_api_parameters.get_value( 'nextPageURL', 'a'); to help with that.
    The ForceLoginServlet is a secure servlet (set up in web.xml) so that forces a silent authentication to my app. All the servlet does is display HTML to redirect back to the URL in nextPageURL.
    Horrible! But it does the job.
    Anyone who know a better way of doing this, please tell me.

  • How to allow access to web service running under ApplicationPoolIdentity

    Hi All,
    I have a WCF web service hosted in IIS 7 (or maybe 7.5, whichever comes with Windows server 2008 R2) using DefaultAppPool running under ApplicationPoolIdentity per Microsoft's recommendation. The web service needs to call a stored procedure to insert data
    to a db. The web server is on a different VM than the database server. The db server is running SQL 2008 R2. Both VMs run Windows server 2008 R2.
    When the web service tries to connect to db, it encounters this exception:
    Exception in InsertToDb()System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'.
       at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlInternalConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection)
    Here's the connection string in web.config:
    Application Name=somewebservice;Server=somewebserver;Integrated Security=SSPI;Database=somedatabase;Connection Timeout=60"
    How should I configure SQL security to make this work?
    Thanks in advanced.

    Thanks for the link Dan. Maybe I'm the one who cause the confusion :)
    If I understand you(and Erland) correctly, you suggest using a custom, domain account for application pool identity. However, if we do that, our IT will need to maintain those accounts, and they don't  want that. So I'm choosing a built-in account called
    ApplicationPoolIdentity as the application pool identity, but it's not working. Network Service, on the other hand, works, but my boss wants us to follow MS's best practice.
    What's puzzling is that according to this: http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/624/application-pool-identities/, both Network Service and ApplicationPoolIdentity uses machine account to access network resource (like db in this case), but in my case, Network Service
    works, but not ApplicationPoolIdentity.
    Hallo Stephen,
    with respect - it seems to me that only idiots are working at your IT ;)... It is absolutely useful to work with "service accounts" created within the domain. That's the only way to manage and control accounts!
    If you want to "pass through" the identity of the web user (SSO) you have to check whether the app pool is set to "allow impersonate". As far as I understand the ApplicationPoolIdentity-function the app pool will create a unique user named as the service.
    I assume that will not work with the connection to the sql server because this user is unknown.
    Local Service will not work because it's restriction is located to the local machine.
    Network Service will work because access to network resources will be available.
    So my recommendation is to use a dedicated service account or impersonation:

  • How to let SAP user use SSO to access Application in DMZ?

    Hi All,
    Our J2EE application is running on a system in DMZ which can not be connected with LDAP. So I am wondering if it's possible to let SAP user use SSO to access our application.
    After talking with my colleague I think the only way is to import SSO public key to our WebAS and create user in UME and then assign user to the corresponding public key, but anybody know where to download SSP verification file or is it allowed to download and import into another system at all?

    Hi,
    Take a look at this example, it uses property nodes to select tha
    active plot and then changes the color of that plot.
    If you want to make the number of plots dynamic you could use a for

    Hi,i have a problem with the model Cisco SB SF302-08PP Switch , i connect a cable rj45 to my pc and configure the adapter local area connection (ip address:192.168.1.252), the LEDs blink green, and go to the address bar and get the IP by default, which according to the manual is 192.168.1.254 and the result is: page not found. Is there any way to change the web utility? How do I access the web utility?

  • MS ACCESS, NULL, and '%'

    I am using a prepared statement to query my access database which contains personal data first name, last name, address, city, state, etc.... I allow the user to search the database by any of these fields (or any combination of them) by making the default values for any empty fields '%'. Here's my select statement.
    stmt =conn.prepareStatement("SELECT * FROM Data1 WHERE first_name LIKE ? AND last_name LIKE ? AND city LIKE ? ....");
    stmt.setString(1, firstNameField.getText()+"%");
    stmt.setString(2, lastNameField.getText()+"%");
    stmt.setString(3, cityField.getText()+"%");
    This worked but didn't return a record if ANY of their values are NULL. So I changed my select statement to allow for NULL values.
    stmt =conn.prepareStatement("SELECT * FROM Data1 WHERE (first_name LIKE ? OR first_name IS NULL) AND (last_name LIKE ? OR last_name IS NULL) AND (city LIKE ? OR city IS NULL) ....");
    stmt.setString(1, firstNameField.getText()+"%");
    stmt.setString(2, lastNameField.getText()+"%");
    stmt.setString(3, cityField.getText()+"%");
    This fixed that problem, but now it ALWAYS returns the records with NULL fields. I want it to only match NULL fields if the coressponding JTextField is left blank. Can anyone tell me a good way to do this?

    How can I create it dynamically and still keep the
    speed of a prepared statement??Unless you are doing block inserts in a loop you are probably not going to see any speed improvement anyways.
    But as I said you can simply create all the combinations and then use an array to keep track of them.

    Any Idea ?

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that your site is not accessible from outside using external host name with https sometimes.
    As your site can be accessible with public IP, however it can’t be accessible from outside using external host name with https sometimes, the issue could be caused by the gateway server in your environment.
    I suggest that you need to check the gateway server configuration.

  • When I login to my bank, I get the message: 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied. Have new MacBook Air with Yosemite. How to solve this problem?

    When I try to login to the website of my bank, I get the following error message:
    403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
    You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.
    I have a new MacBook Air with OS Yosemite installed.
    What is the problem and how can I solve it?

    Some websites require a special client certficate for access. If you don't have that certficate, you'll have to contact the site operator to find out how to get one.
    Sometimes the problem is caused by a web server that is configured to request an optional client certificate. Safari treats the request as mandatory. In that case, other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome may be able to connect to the site, because they ignore the request.
    The first time you were prompted for a certificate, you may have clicked through a dialog that requested access to the Apple certificate in your keychain that is used to secure the iMessage service. In that case, you may be able to regain access to the site in Safari by doing as follows.
    Back up all data.
    Double-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    com.apple.idms.appleid.prd
    Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
    Paste into the search field in the Keychain Access window by clicking in it and pressing the key combination command-V. An item may appear in the list of keychain items. The Name will begin with string you searched for, and the Kind will be "certificate."
    Delete the item by selecting it and pressing the delete key. It will be recreated automatically the next time you launch the Messages or FaceTime application.
    The next time you visit a site that prompts for an optional client certificate, cancel out of the prompt. You may have to do this several times before the server stops asking.

  • Gmail access fails on safari. But it works when i login as administrator. Please help!

    I am unable to use gmail from a regular user account on my iMac.It fails with an error string that ends with "... becasue Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server "accounts.google.com". "
    I have tried resetting safari and it does not help.
    I have tried adding DNS entries based on some discussion board suggestions and that does not help either.
    I am able to access gmail as an administator on the same machine though!
    Please point me in the right direction, please! Thanks!

    You may have to take the computer to the Apple store to have the computer checked out.
    Dead line is tuesday?
    1. Try an external USB keyboard.
