Accessing data from tables P2050, P2051 and P2052
Hello all,
I am trying to access the data stored in P2050, P2051, and P2052. I cannot access this data directly. Is there a way to get this data through another tables??

HI!
You have to trace the transaction, which fills these structures.
Use the transaction ST05 to sqltrace them.
1. Turn on SQL trace in ST05
2. Switch to an another modus with alt-tab, enter into the transaction
3. Navigate until you will see the required data on the screen
4. Go back to ST05 with alt-tab, deactivate trace, and show results. You'll see all read tables here.

Problems with retrieving data from tables with 240 and more records
Hi,
I've been connecting to Oracle 11g Server (not sure exact version) using Oracle 10.1.0 Client and O10 Oracle 10g driver. Everything was ok.
I installed Oracle 11.2.0 Client and I started to have problems with retrieving data from tables.
First I used the same connection string, driver and so on (O10 Oracle 10g) then I tried ORA Oracle but with no luck. The result is like this:
I'm able to connect to database. I'm able to retrieve data but from small tables (e.g. with 110 records it works perfectly using both O10 and ORA drivers). When I try to retrieve data from tables with like 240 and more records retrieval simply hangs (nothing happens at all - no error, no timeout). Application seems to hang forever.
I'm using Powerbuilder to connect to Database (either PB10.5 using O10 driver or PB12 using ORA driver). I used DBTrace, so I see that query hangs on the first FETCH.
So for the retrievals that hang I have something like:

On the side note, I have no problems with retrieving data either by SQL Developer or DbVisualizer.
Problems started when I installed 11.2.0 Client. Even if I want to use 10.0.1 Client, the same problem occurs. So I guess something from 11.2.0 overrides 10.0.1 settings.

Installing 11g client changed something that even using old 10g client (which I still have installed) fails to work. The same problem occur no matter I'm using 10g or 11g client now. Powerbuilder hangs on retrieving tables with more than like 240 records.

Accessing data from Table control

I created a table control using report program and i am trying to enter data in the table control which i want to update in the DB table. How can i get the data entered in table control to the report program, so that i can update the DB table.

1. While designing set the table control as input field.
2. In ur program create an internal table, with the same structure as your table control.
3. Whenever an entry is made in the table control, modify your internal table.
4. While saving use the internal table data to update the custom table.
If internal table name is same in both screen painter(table control) and in the program then the values will automatically come into the internal table in the program with out programming.
Otherwise we have programtically transfer the values.
In the PAI event using move or move-corresponding statement.

POWL accessing data from multiple tables/objects
Hello,
I have a query on the POWL applications.
If the powl application has to access data from multiple tables/objects, then the solution would be creating a data structure of those tables/objects and referring to that structure in GET_OBJECT_DEF methods.
Is there any other soln? or I am right here?
The queries which are saved for a particular user are transportable? if not, how can they be made transportable?

how to find out when data was deleted from table in oracle and Who deleted that ?
I did that to fidn out some data from dba_tab_modifications, but I m not sure that what timestamp shows, wether it shows for update,insert or delete time ?

Audit is enable in my enviroment?
customer is facing the issue and data missing in the table and I told him that yes there is a delete at 11-12-13 18:23:39 in table after seeing the DELETS column and timestamp in dba_tab_modifications, but not sure I am right or not

Data fetch from table without Refresh and without using tab key.
hi Friends,
I have a problem i want to extract data from table without Refresh into text field without using Tab key. when i'll enter any value in a text field then corressponding value should come in to corressponding textfield without using Tab Key.
eg. when i enter emp_id 101 in a text field then the first_name and last_name ,adress should come in to corressponding text fields without refresh and without using Tab key.
How Can I do this.

I assume that this is similar to: Data fetch without Refresh rather than Re: Value of one textfield should come into another textfield Without Using TAB ?
If so, the only change you need to make on the first one is to use "onkeyup" instead of "onchange" in the item's "HTML Form Element Attributes" setting.
Note, however, that the user must move away from the item at some point (for example, to click a button), so the onchange will be triggered anyway.

Accessing data from db table on another client on a separate server

We are trying to access data from a db table on client 400 NSQ with a program running on client 200 NSD. We are also trying to find the name of the table in which the connection configuration should be maintained. The two clients are on separate servers.

Now in your program you can call function module RFC_READ_TABLE (with reference to this destination) to read entries from the other system.
If you know ABAP, In fact you can create a Z RFC FM specific for this tables, so that you get the data in exact structure. This is because RFC_READ_TABLE returns data in text format with a delimiter.

Access data from from two lists based on lookup columns and insert into another
Hi,
I am new in SharePoint and is stuck in some problem.
I want to insert data in to a list by fetching data from 2 lists.
The scenario is :
List A Columns : EmployeeName, EmployeeID, EmployeeSalary
List B Columns : DepartmentName, EmployeeID, ManagerID
EmployeeID is lookup column
I want to fetch data from these 2 lists and insert data into another list:
List C Columns: EmployeeName, EmployeeSalary, DepartmentName
Can someone please explain me all the possible approaches to do the above taskIf ListA and ListB are the lists that you created, it would be better to generate the lists data into one list not seperate lists, as they both represents the property information of one employee.
If they are existing lists, you may have following considerations:
1. if you are a programmer, it would be easier to have a lookup column at ListA, to generate the EmployeeName, EmplyeeSalary, then using ItemAdded event, to generate the DepartmentName column based on EmployeeID column.
2. have a lookup column look at ListA, use workflow, set when item is created, start the workflow automatically, then in the workflow, find ListB related item based on EmployeeID column, to set the DepartmentName column, SharePoint designer workflow
set Item Value activity can do this work, you can research to find more information about how to do this.

APEX Application accessing data from two different databases
Hi All,
Currently as we all know that APEX Application resides in database and is connected to the schema of that database.
I want APEX Application to be running and accessing data from two different databases. Elaborating my question,
Currently, my APEX Production Application is connected with XXXX Schema of DB1 Database(Where APEX Resides). Now I want to add some pages into this APEX Application for REPORT Purpose, But I want to connect this REPORT APEX Pages to get data from Different Schema YYYY for Database DB2.
Is it possible to configure this scenario?
The reason for doing this is to avoid the REPORT related (adhoc queries) resource utilization effect on Production DB1 Database.

Nil1. If you do the joining of two or more tables in DB1 then all data is pulled over to DB1 and then the join is executed: so more data over the databaselink and more work for DB1. Better keep the joining stuff where the data resides and just pull exactly that data over that you need.
2. Don't know about your different block sizes. Seems a nice question for one of the other forums (DBA or SQL).
3. I mean create synonyms on DB1 for reports VIEWS in DB2.

2. these are the steps.
a) make an entry in DBCON
b) make connection string
(on the physical application server,
so that it can connect to secondary database)
(this will be done by basis team,
in which, they will specify the
IP address of the secondary database server,
the DATABASE ID, and the port number)
c) then using open sql / native sql,
we can use the secondary database connection,
just like normal.
d) if we use open sql,
then there must be Y/Z table on
sap as well as secondary database,
and the field names , their type all should be identical.

Getting data from table BSEG taking too long ... any solutions.
Hello people I am currently trying to get data from table BSEG for one particular G/L Account Number With restrictions using For All Entries.
The problem is that even with such tight restrictions its causing my report program to run way too slow. I put an option where you dont have to access table bseg. And it runs just fine. (all of this is done during PRD Server).
My question is
1.) How come BSEG seems to make the report slow, even though I put some tight restrictions. <b>Im using For All Entries where Zuonr eq i_tab-zuonr</b>it seems to work fine in DEV and <b>hkont EQ '0020103101'</b>(Customer Deposits).
2.) Is there a way for me to do the same thing as what I mentioned in #1 but only much faster.

It should be better you don't read BSEG table if you haven't the keys BUKRS and BELNR, because the reading could take many times if there are many hits.
If you want to find out the records of G/L Account it's better read the index table BSIS (for open items) and BSAS (for cleared items), here the field HKONT is a key (and ZUONR too). So you can improve the performance:
DATA: T_ITEMS LIKE STANDARD TABLE OF BSIS.
SELECT * FROM BSAS INTO TABLE T_ITEMS
FOR ALL ENTRIES I_ITAB WHERE BUKRS = <BUKRS>
AND HKONT = '0020103101'
AND ZUONR = I_ITAB-ZUONR.
SELECT * FROM BSIS APPENDING TABLE T_ITEMS
FOR ALL ENTRIES I_ITAB WHERE BUKRS = <BUKRS>
AND HKONT = '0020103101'
AND ZUONR = I_ITAB-ZUONR.
Remember every kind of item has an own index tables:
- BSIS/BSAS for G/L Account
- BSIK/BSAK for Vendor
- BSID/BSAD for Customer
These table have the same informations you can find out from BSEG and BKPF.

I have SAP BW system and SAP HANA System
SAP BW to SAP HANA connecting through a DB Connection (named HANA)
Whenever I created any Open Hub as Destination like DB Table with the help of DB Connection, table will be created at HANA Schema level ( L_F50800_D )
Executed the Open Hub service without checking DELETING Data from table option
Data loaded with 16 Records from BW to HANA same
Second time again executed from BW to HANA now 32 records came ( it is going to append )
Executed the Open Hub service with checking DELETING Data from table option
Now am getting short Dump DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_KNOWN getting
If checking in SAP BW system tio SAP BW system it is working fine ..
will this option supports through DB Connection or not ?
Please follow the attachemnet along with this discussion and help me to resolve how ?

Here the issue is At OH level ( Definition Level - DESTINATION TAB and FIELD DEFINITION )
in that there is check box i have selected already that is what my issue even though selected also
not performing the deletion from target level .
SAP BW - to SAP HANA via DBC connection
1. first time from BW suppose 16 records - Dtp Executed -loaded up to HANA - 16 same
2. second time again executed from BW - now hana side appaended means 16+16 = 32
3. so that i used to select the check box at OH level like Deleting data from table
4. Now excuted the DTP it throws an Short Dump - DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_KNOWN
Now please tell me how to resolve this ? will this option is applicable for HANA mean to say like , deleting data from table option ...
