Accessing KM Content from Collaboration room & Storing rooms in KM

Hi all
We have a scenario. We want to access KM Content from collaboration rooms. Is it possible?
When we create a Room Template can we change the 'Path to Initially Displayed Folder' to anything other than ' /room ' ?
Our problem is we want all the room parts to be stored inside our KM.
If anybody knows the answer please help us

Your requirement is definitely possible and that's the reason for me to provide the earlier link for configuration.

Here you find information about "Configure Entry Point Providers" and "Prepare the Entry Point with a KM Folder of Your Choice " which would point your rooms to the repository of your choice.

Yes the user existed in QA before I transported the category. (Since users are not transported, I simply created a user with the same name.) Also, I used the role SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR for the receivers via subscription and roles.

you can try to use the:
ConsumerTreeListPreview
layout for KM navigation ivew (or customize to your own).
This layout shows a folder tree on the left, a document list on the right. When you click on a document from the list it shows the contents of the file on the bottom of the iview.

Accessing KM content from within a web application

We are trying to migrate an application from a BEA webServer onto the webAS. The application relies heavily on the BEA content management system (CMS), this is to be replaced by the KM. We cannot rebuild the application using iViews etc as we have to retain the current look and feel, and hence we will have to call the KM content from the jsp code within the application. Does anyone know if this is possible and can give us an idea of what API's we call...(if the APIs exist and if this is the correct approach).

BEA have a content tag library for extracting content from the CMS within a JSP page. I think this is what James may be referring to.
Does the KM have equivalent taglibs? If so, can these be configured to access the KM running on a different J2EE instance (specifically one running on another machine).
Going to browse the API docs anyway, but if you have a short answer to this, please post.

You may be able to do something with Oracle Text. The following shows how to get an HTML rendiditon of a binary document. I think you can also get plain text instead of HTML

Accessing/Extracting content from a DVD

I have several DVDs that contain old family films from which the original media has been damaged or destroyed. I would like to be able to import these home movies into iMovie for editing. I can create a disc image on my desktop from the DVDs, but do not know how to import the content into iMovie from there. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Scott

It's a good practise not to mix jdbc code in your jsp (mvc and all that you see)
Finally you'll have to quickly decide on your front end - jsp or swing. It looks like the former, but then with the code you have posted, the server is apt to pop up some windows prompting the user who has logged on (to the server) to choose the files for the client :)

Using content from PSE's "Content Panel" in Photoshop CS5

I own a copy of both Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop Elements. Overall I use PS for everything though I am not a graphic designer and some of the content in PSE is very handy. Mainly the content in the "Content Panel" (see screenshot below) My question is this, is there a way to access that content from within Photoshop CS5. I looked through the Program Files and could not find any of the content. I could go through and save each individual file as a separate PSD and use Bridge to browse those files. Is there a specific file I am missing?
Note: I only looking for the Background, Frames, and Graphics. The rest I can replicate in PS.

Look in the Program Data files, something like:
(on windows the Program Data files are hidden files so you'll have to enable Show Hidden, files, folders or drives in the folder options)
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\10.0\Photo Creations
Substitute the 10.0 above for your version of elements.

JNDI lookup from a Java stored proc?

Anybody know if a JNDI lookup, or accessing an EJB from a Java stored procedure is possible? I looked through all the docs and it says it is possible but doesn't specify how. In the java class thats resolved through the stored proc, how are the server generated classes and interfaces made available? Normally setting the classpath for the client app that does the lookup accomplishes this, but what if its called through the stored proc?

Cannot access the content producer portal via reverse proxy

Hi all,
I hope my post is in the right forum
We have an FPN environment using RRA with our EP (NW 7.0 SPS18) as the consumer and our BI portal (NW 7.0 SPS18) as the content producer. The consumer is registered with the producer using HTTP protocol. Everything works as expected.
We're trying to implement an Apache reverse proxy for our FPN with SSL termination so that we can access the portals from the Internet with HTTPS protocol while keeping HTTP protocol for the internal users.
Through the reverse proxy, we can access the consumer portal and we can access the producer portal directly without any problem. The only problem is that, if we logged onto the consumer via the reverse proxy, we cannot access the content from the producer. We'd get the browser security warning message
"Although this page is encrypted. The information you have entered will be sent over an unencrypted connection. ..."
When we hit the Continue button, we'd get the eror 404 Not Found - The request resource does not exist.
Our Unix admin tried both Apache and SAP Web Dispatcher but we couldn't get it to work properly. We went through a lot of blogs and documents and we are at our wits end. We would greatly appreciate if someone can point out where we should look at.

We do not have problems with the "correct name" in the reverse proxy and our main SSL termination works fine.
It's just that the consumer is registered with the producer using HTTP protocol; as a result, the producer's URL link is 'hard-coded' to use HTTP protocol in the consumer portal since we are not using SSL in the internal network. Hence, we'd like to know if there's any way to change them to HTTPS for the Internet clients while keeping the HTTP protocol for the internal users.

Accessing Collaboration Room with Room Link (URL) doesn't work

i'm trying to access a collaboration room by room link (url) but it doesn't work. the room url is: https://www.sportal.ch:443/irj/index.html?NavigationTarget=CollaborationConnector://portal_content/com.sap.ip.collaboration/Rooms/b0ce78ec-3f30-2910-2184-b171271d4d95/workset&NavTargetAsRoot=true
i have checked the roombackend-properties => they are ok
i have checked the roles and permissions => they are ok
what me surprises: when i open a new browser window and type in the mentioned url, our portal-start-page is displayed but in the content area there is no content displaied. i expected, that when i type in the url, then the authentification-dialogue would appear, but it does not.... (does this url only work if i am already logged in the portal??)
if you have any ideas, how the problem could be solved, please let me know!

when i use the function "send room-link" the url looks like this:

with this url i can not access the collaboration room.
but when i change the url like this:

now i can access the room (with authentification).
OK, for me the main problem is solved, but can someone perhaps tell me whats the difference between:
NavigationTarget=CollaborationConnector
and
NavigationTarget=ROLES

ICE for room to room content transfer

Hi,
We are currently on EP6.0 SP10.
We are about to upgrade to EP7.0. Quite alot of collaboration rooms
are there with lot of content like documents etc. So we are planning to transfer
all that content to the new portal. I have heard that transport of rooms as a whole is not possible. They would have to be manually created again.
But it also said that content transfer is possible using webdav or ICE.
I tried using ICE online transfer for that but the target rooms are not getting the
contents properly. Is this actually possible, does anyone know the actual procedure.

I had faced the problem with the room id of destination room.
Then nothing gets transferred properly.

Could you pls clarify what you mean by this,because room extensions
contains a folder heirarchy ie cm_stores->documents->workspaces.
That contains quite a lot of folders with the same workspace name ,ie documents
pertaining to different rooms. So transporting the content from the appropriate folder is quite hard to point out.
Also our source portal will be a EP6.0 SP10 and target a new EP7.0 installation
wher we wnat to have the old rooms content.

Not able to access the floating content from UCM into WLP using VCR

I am facing an issue while accessing the content ( floating content i.e CSS,content,javascript) from UCM 11g into WLP 10.3.2 using VCR. But at the sametime, i am able to access the content once its moved to contribution folder.
Please let me know is there any limitation in VCR i.e VCR can read the content from UCM once its moved to Contribution folder.

Without an iPhone or iPod Touch to restore the backup to, you cannot access the camera roll photos stored in the iCloud backup. Signing into the account on your computer and enabling photo stream will only allow you to access photo stream photos from the last 30 days, and any shared stream you were subscribed to.
You can redownload purchased music in iTunes on your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519.
