Accessing Panel Collection property( View & Detach) in programmatically

Hi All,
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.2.0.My scenario is two pages have same table surrounded by Panel Collection layout. Now User hiding some columns in first page table using panel colletion View property then he navigate to the
second page the hidden columns from first table need to be hidden in second page table also.How to get the hidden columns from the panel collection layout (VIEW property)?....
Thanks,
Arun D.

Hi,
column visible state is defined on the columns
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/apirefs.1111/e12419/tagdoc/af_column.html
So before navigating to page 2, you access the table instance, call getChildren to access a list of columns, iterate over the columns and check the value of the "visible" property. This should show false for columns that you did hide using the paneCollection menu. Pass this settings on to thenext page and hide the columns there (e.g. referencing a managed bean from the visible property)

  • How to close the detach popup on click of a button in the panel collection

    Hi,
    I'm using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0.
    I have an af table surrounded by panel collection. There is a button on panel collection to commit the changes in the table.
    Clicked detach button to view the table in full browser.
    On click of Commit button, the detach popup is not closed. I have set partialSubmit of that button to false. Then also detach popup is not closed.
    Can anybody suggest me how to close the detach popup on click of a button in the toolbar.
    Thanks,
    Vinod

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for your response. Popup is not closed.
    I tried this approach, when the view tree is navigated on the Detach, I see that the tree is same as if it is traversed on the page without detach.
    Printed client id and UI component class in the while loop, result is as below.
    r1:0:pc1:t3 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.layout.RichToolbar
    r1:0:pc1 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.output.RichPanelCollection
    r1:0:ph2 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.layout.RichPanelHeader
    r1:0:pgl1 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.layout.RichPanelGroupLayout
    r1 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.fragment.RichRegion
    pgl1 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.layout.RichPanelGroupLayout

    ps1 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.layout.RichPanelSplitter
    f1 class oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.RichForm
    Tried with setting partialsubmit property to false on the command button, still the popup is not closed and my Faces Message are shown behind the detach popup.

  • Implementing Detach(as in Panel Collection)like functionality for Bar Graph

    I have created a jsff containing horizontal stacked bar graph through collection model.I have not used any VOs ,but I have created an ArrayList in which I send the values to be shown in the graph by fetching data through jdbc call.
    Now I want the graph to be displayed in a pop up through a link in the jsff so that the data can be viewed in larger screen area,similar to the funnctionality of 'detach' in the panel collection.
    I am using JDev 11.1.1.6 and WLS 10.3.6
    Please suggest a mechanism to achieve this.Any help on this issue is appreciated.

    Hi Saif Kamaal
    The Use Case :
    i. When the page is initially rendered , a bar graph will be shown in a region.
    ii. That region will contain a button ,which on clicking willl bring the graph in the entire page as popup (Similar to the detach functionality in Panel collection,where a table is rendered and clicking on detach brings the table on entire screen)
    I have developed the graph as jsff and that is added to a jspx page and I need that button,if possible, in the jsff itself.

  • Can I HIDE the view menu in a panel collection?

    I have a two column table -- I want the popup and menu features of pc-- less the view as this is unnecessary for this table.
    Is there a way to hide this unwanted menu?

    Skinning would apply to all refs of this component. There are times instances where I do want view menu displayed.
    So my only option is to not use panel collection or roll my own custom component?
    Seems there should be an easy way to disable features of pc that I do not what to turn on.
    Thanks,

  • No provision to provide Tool tip for Default Panel Collection Components

    "View" is a default menu item provided by Panel Collection Component. The "shortDesc" property can set the tool tip for entire panel collection.
    How to set the tool tip specifically for the default components given by panel collection component ?

    Hi,
    panel collection labels and tool tips can be changed through skinning See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/apirefs.1111/e15862/toc.htm and search for af:panelCollection and go to the Resource String section. So far the good news. The bad news is that there is no skin selector to change the tool tip of the "View" menu option (though yo can change the label through af_panelCollection.LABEL_MENU_VIEW). If you need this, please file an enhancement request through customer support.
    Frank
    Ps.: Skinning is documented here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/web.1111/b31973/af_skin.htm#BAJFEFCJ

    How to grant access for all the views created in own HAGGIS schema to comqdhb schema on the HAGGIS database.
    Oracle Grant Privileges

    Oracle System Privileges

    System privileges should be used in only cases where security isnt important,because a single grant statement could remove all security from the table
    Role based security
    ============
    Role security allows you to gather related grants into a collection-since the role is a predefined collection of privileges that are grouped together.privileges are easier to assign to users.
    [http://www.dba-oracle.com/art_builder_grant_sec.htm]
    can we grant select update to all the views at a time to the other schema.
    Are there any other ways to secure the data other than creating users and assigning roles.
    Thank you
    Edited by: Trooper on Dec 23, 2008 9:24 AM

    I think what was suggested was that you use SQL to generate the grants on each and every view, that is, you use SQL to generate SQL where the SQL being generated is "grant select on view_name to role'"
    If you users to connect to Oracle you have to create usernames for them though if the users only connect via an application the application might run just as one user and access to the application is controled via application security. The control on the application can be via Directory Services such as OID or MS Active Directory. User access to Oracle can also be controlled via OID.
    To connect to Oracle you can use OS authenication (not recommended), usernames with passwords, or via Advanced Security Option which supports single sign-on products like Kebros or Oracle Internet Directory etc....
    Example using SQL to generate SQL
    How do I find out which users have the rights, or privileges, to access a given object ?

  • Accessing Grouping Collection newCollection variable

    Upon looking at my grouping collection, I noticed a new
    little property called newCollection, however, its icon is a red
    square in the variable watcher indicating that its a private
    property. I need to get read access to this property since it has
    nicely packages objects inside with my groups.
    Is there a way to be able to get this property by default? Or
    do I have to change and recompile my Flex SDK? I would think that
    something like that would be public since it would allow you to use
    the grouping collection with other datavis components such as
    charts without having to perform loop after loop. You would be able
    to use the already grouped collection and create a new series based
    on each grouping object and set the series dataProvider to that
    object.children property and have a nice dynamic chart entry point.
    The scenario of this approach would be when you have an array
    collection as your dataProvider for a chart, but you want to group
    your chart data based upon the unique values within the array
    collection. You would be able to use the newCollection objects in a
    for each loop to generate the individual series dynamically.
    Maybe this should be a feature request?

    I'd go into GroupingCollection and find a protected method
    that uses that
    variable, then extend GroupingCollection and add code of your
    own that grabs
    that information and copies it to your own variable.

    I have recently purchased and installed Nik collection. I have no problem reaching the plug-ins in Photoshopbut can't in Lightroom (except for HDR)

    I suspect there are potential issues on some systems with the Google "combined" version, when I installed it I had recieved a copy of the Google complete version free because of my purchase history. I was advised that I could install over the Individual Plugins I had. I never got as far as trying it with Lightroom, only in Elements. The plugins appeared but the load times were abysmal and I mean realy bad , far longer than the Nik individual Installs, so I dumped it and reverted to the originals. Pity cos I wanted the Sharpen Plugin that I have'nt got. After reverting all was back to normal The Nik individual Plugins load very quickly. It was this that convinced me there is a difference in the Google setup.There are people on here with far more knowledge than me, hopefully one of them can help you, alternatively you might try asking Google for help with this.

  • GotoAndStop error 1120:Access of undefined property on MC's loaded from .swc

    I am trying to tell a MovieClip added from a .swc library to do simple things like "gotoAndStop()" and all I get is a red X error message 1120: Access of undefined property whenever I do.
    I can add the MovieClip to the application and position it without any problem. I cannot make it do anything. In my Flash IDE library the CustomCheckBox()'s base class is
    import flash.display.MovieClip;
    import mx.flash.UIMovieClip;
         //  **** TRIED EACH IMPORT STATEMENT AND BOTH**** (NEITHER of which work at all).
    private var _checkPlaylist:MovieClip = new CustomCheckBox();
    private var _checkClassroom:MovieClip = new CustomCheckBox();
    _checkPlaylist.gotoAndStop(1);
    _checkClassroom.gotoAndStop(2);
    I can declare my CustomCheckBox as a MovieClip and in my Symbol Properties panel it's base class is — mx.flash.UIMovieClip — and it shows up just fine. I just can't make the thing stop or do anything else a MovieClip is supposed to be able to do.
    One of the other developers here who is way more advanced than I am also cannot get a ******* movie clip to stop either.
    I am new to Flash Builder — yet have been using Flash and AS3 for years and I have never had a more difficult time getting up to speed with a new technology than Flex / Flash Builder has become for me. I feel stupid that I keep spending days on end just trying to figure out basic things like this.

    I keep answering my own questions. When I added a gotoAndStop command to the referenced MC inside of the init function it stopped throwing that error at me. I was trying to initialize the button states after declaring them as MC variables, but the compiler did not like that.

  • Need help with error msg 1120: Access of undefined property

    I am not a coder, so I need coding help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    I'm doing a Flash banner that has clickTAG instructions from Google. The code they said to put on the button is:
    ClickTAG parameter code for ActionScript 3:
    import flash.events.MouseEvent;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    someButton_or_displayObject_to_receive_mouseClick.addEventListener(
          MouseEvent.CLICK,
          function(event: MouseEvent) : void {
          flash.net.navigateToURL(new URLRequest( root.loaderInfo.parameters.clickTAG), "_blank");
    Replace someButton_or_displayObject_to_receive_mouseClick with the actual name of button that will receive the click.
    Note that it's not necessary to specify the destination URL for the ad anywhere in this code; this is taken care of through the usage of clickTAG. Also, depending on the structure of your Flash ad, it may be necessary to prepend "_root." or "_level0." to "clickTAG" above, resulting in "_root.clickTAG" or "_level0.clickTAG". It is strongly recommended to upload the ad into your account and verify that the ad is behaving normally prior to it going live, allowing time for any necessary changes.
    And this is the code I put in (btnClickTag is the name of my button):
    import flash.events.MouseEvent;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    btnClickTag.addEventListener(
          MouseEvent.CLICK,
          function(event: MouseEvent) : void {
          flash.net.navigateToURL(new URLRequest( root.loaderInfo.parameters.clickTAG), "_blank");
    and this is the error I got:
    Scene1, Layer 'actions', Frame 1, 1120: Access of undefined property btnClickTag. btnClickTag.addEventListener(

    First, make sure you have assigned that name to the button via the properties panel, then, be sure to adjust the code so that it is not spread out over several lines... normally it needs to be on one line.  You should not nest the function in the event listener either, so try the following (no need for the import statements)...
    btnClickTag.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, tagClick);
    function tagClick(event:MouseEvent):void {
          navigateToURL(new URLRequest( root.loaderInfo.parameters.clickTAG), "_blank");

  • How to access Panel Overview

    I have downloaded the 30 day trial version, cannot access Panel view of icons is there something am missing?

    Hi Harry,
    Do you see the panel on your right screen side?
    If not, that may be hidden entirely. Keyboard F8 will bring it back.
    In that situation I can confirm that Windows/panels/metadata does not have any effect.
    It starts from Top to Bottom with Histogram, Quick develop, Keywording, Keyword List, Metadata (the section you want), Comments.
    If you right-click on some header, you find several options - one of them might be the unintentional culprit:
    'Hide all' should not be ticked - choose 'Show All'.
    If 'Solo Mode' is ticked, then only one of these sections will show and all others will get minimized to their header. But then Ctrl4 would work.
    So from my tests also on Windows7 F8 would be the trick you are missing.
