Accesssing WSDL  from SAP

I have WSDL located on SAP with a valid username and password .I tried to access WSDL through internet explorer, it prompted for username and password.I given SAP user name and password it is accessible.I want to do this through java code.How and where can i supply the username and password for invoking the service.

Hi Nicholas,
as far as I know there is no direct support of .NET for the SAP BC (i.e. client libraries exist for Java, VB or C++ as far as I remember; anybody, please comment if I'm wrong).
This leaves you in essence with plain http calls (check BC developer guide).  If you have simple fields you could just use a direct POST along with specifying the variable names.  Depending on the output of the service you could use the output templates to convert it back into something that you can interpret.
The best way is probably to translate the values into XML messages.  In case you want to generate a web service, you can also use the generated WSDL.  However, beware, that the BC can only create a WSDL for a single BC service (not as you would expect to create a WSDL for a single webservice with multiple methods/BC services).
Hope this helps, harald

  • Problem using WSDL from SAP in IBM's RAD for generating web service client

    When importing a WSDL from the ABAP stack on a SAP 6.40 system into IBM's RAD tool for generating a web service client there are errors with the soap fault classes that get generated.  The WSDL declares the types for the faults with WebServiceName.RfcException and these have elements of name, text, and message.  When the tools see this in the WSDL they generate classes that extend the Java exeception class and this causes an error because the "message" name conflicts with the standard java exception message.  Has anyone else ran into this problem?  It seems like a basic problem many java tools for generating web service client proxies would have because the soap faults get turned into java exceptions.  This name conflict of the java exception with the WSDL fault definition means that code always needs to be adjusted and cannot simply use the classes that are generated from the WSDL.  Anyone run across this or a similar problem in the java environment using the SAP WSDL?

  • Problem to Import WSDL from MII in SAP Netweaver

    Hi everyone,
    i'm tryng import a wsdl from MII (WebService Transaction) but when i create the adaptative web service model in webdynpro project and insert the WSDL URL, show this error message:
    "The WSDL contains neither services, bindings or porttypes and can therefore not be processed".
    I have read some tutorials for connect webdynpro and mii and i think that my procedure is correct.
    With others webservices for exmple for sap EC i don´t have this problem.
    Someones knows what´s can be the problem?
    Thank You

    Hi,
    WSDL is a XML document contains type, message, operation, binding, port, service tags. so check your WSDL document contains all these tags with appropriate information.
    We can generate WSDL XML document from MII by executing a transaction.
    http://<server name>:<port>/XMII/WSDLGEN/<transaction name>
    To test SOAP protocol : http://<server name>:<port>/XMII/SOAPRunner/<transaction name>
    Kindly ensure all the configuration settings.
    Thanks

  • WSDL file from sap

    Hi all
      I need sap data as WSDL file for a requirement. What I am thinking is to create a BAPI and export to WSDL.  Is it possible to do this? I am in a conception that using WSDL file, the SAP data is always latest. hope this is correct.
    Else pls let me know how we have to export sap data as WSDL/XML schema as applicable.
    I have to use this WSDL file in Adobe form to create a offline interactive PDF which should always contain the latest data when opened.
    I know that ABAP WD is one option but that is not suitable for me because, I have to get this PDF doc uploaded to a collaborative environment(similar to forums) and whenever the user downloads the document , it has to fetch data from SAP.
    Please help me proceed further.
    Thanks in advance
    Karthika

    I fail to see how this question is Web Dynpro ABAP related.  You even state in your description that Web Dynpro ABAP isn't a suitable option for your requirement. Then why post the question in the Web Dynpro ABAP forum?  Please post your questions in the correct forum.

  • How to consume a web service provided by third party system from SAP system

    Hi Friends,
    Could any of you provide me a clear picture on how to consume a web service from SAP system and is provided by a third party system?
    Do we get an URL to create a client proxy for consuming the web service?
    Thanx in advance,
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
    of course you cannot supply the WSDL URL. Inside the WSDL (just view it in your browser) you find (usually but not necessary) towards the end something like
    <soap:address location="http://www.weather.gov/forecasts/xml/SOAP_server/ndfdXMLserver.php"/>
    which is the actual adress of the service.
    An example service can be found here:
    <a href="http://www.weather.gov/xml/">National Digital Forecast Database</a>
    containing the WSDL URL at
    <a href="http://www.weather.gov/forecasts/xml/DWMLgen/wsdl/ndfdXML.wsdl">this address</a>.
    You might also want to browse for the amazon webservices which allow you to embed queries against amazon into your application.
    have fun,

    Hi,
    With regards to your statemetn "SDN downloaded document says to Generate Webservice URL through ABAP"   <- can you tell me more please? references/links/attachment?
    As far as I am aware, that the type of web service required for integration it a 'normal' Netweaver Web app server web service.
    There are limitations about the complexity of the WSDL - see Notes:
    1653655 - Limitations in Web Service WSDL URL usage in Xcelsius 4.0
    1703839 - Limitations of Web service usage in Xcelsius / Dashboard Design
    also , changes between SAP versions requires reworking the WSDL
    Note 1625091 - The WSDL URL for web service which generated in SAP Enterprise Central Component cannot be loaded into Xcelsius

  • How to move offline form from SAP dev to QA and Production environments?

    I developed and Adobe Form that can be used offline - steps in development are as below:
    1. Webservice generated out of a BAPI in SAP.
    2. WSDL generated from SOAMANAGER transaction code and kept on a newtowrk folder
    3. Used this WSDL to prepare the form in SAP WebDynpro view
    4. generated the URL of the webservice per Dev / QA / Prod when the form is being generated out of the WebDynrpo app - function module ICM_SERVER_INFO (used here)
    4. Placed a regular type button on the form and passed the URL on the click of the button
    5. This worked fine in Dev system.
    6. Now the transports are moved to QA. But click of the button was still pointing to the Dev system.
    7. Realized that it is reading the Dev WSDL from the network drive - it still tries to submit to the dev url of the webservice
    8. So generated the WSDL from SOAMANAGER fo QA and over wrote with the Dev WSDL files.
    9. When I opent he Adobe Form in WebDypro in QA, it reads the new WSDLs and updates the correct URLs - I checked this in the XML of the source of the Adobe Form
    10. here comes the problem - even though step 9 is done correctly, I can not save the form and activate it to reflect the new URLs - since QA is not open. Same procedure may need to be followed in case of Production also.
    So the question is:
    How to circumvent this issue of updating the WSDL and URL after the development transport is moved to QA and Prodcution?
    Or - QA and Prod have to opened, WSDL and URl updated in change mode of form and a transport also created?
    (seems to be a limitation)
    (I looked a bit but did not get any pointers when I googled - may be my search is not correct).
    Please advise.
    Thanks,

    hi Chandra,
    I store the url in one of hidden field in form, then copy javascript below to click event, button control type: Regular.
    just replace all the "<>" in the code below.
    var message;
    var response;
    // The name of the data connection will be pulled from the WSDLConnection name in the ConnectionSet packet
    var sWSDLName = <DataConnection name>;
    // clone, modify and execute the connection.
    var vConnection = xfa.connectionSet[sWSDLName].clone(true);
    vConnection.soapAddress.value = <url>;
    // Execute the connection, without remerge data after the result.
      var ws_rc = vConnection.execute(true);
    for multiple data connection, you have to repeat these code with replace different data connection name and it's url address.
    you may use script object (something like subroutine).

  • Creating Proxy Classes in Visual Studio 2010 from SAP ES

    I am having problems with Microsoft's Visual Studio 2010 creaating a proxy class when importing a WSDL file from SAP's Enterprise Services.
    When attempting to define the proxy class by pointing it to the endpoint WSDL, the import seems to work OK but the proxy class is not created.    I don't have this problem with other WSDL's from non-SAP sources.   There seems to be something "special" about the ES endpoint WSDL.
    Is anyone else having this problem?

    not always the 18th. For me it is the 14th. I think it is because I have  some buttons hidden already. But seems like it is always the last one.
      // The SAP Crystal Report logo is the last item on the 4th control.
    System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip oToolStrip = (System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip)crystalReportViewer.Controls[4];
                    oToolStrip.Items[oToolStrip.Items.Count-1].Visible = false;

  • Problem with generating WSDL from ABAP

    Hi all
    I have encountered a problem.I created a WSDL from a ABAP program,but in the ABAP function module what it does is it inserts value onto a transparent table from a table which let me specify as a virtual table.So after generating the wsdl i am surprised to see the virtual table has come in the output part .I am unable to make out why this happened.
    i am mentioning below the ABAP code which inserts value on to a transparent table from a virtual table
    Code-Function module-smlg_modify
    <u>virtual table Definition</u>
    "table with items for insertion
      DATA INS_TAB LIKE RZLLITAB OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.
    DESCRIBE TABLE MODIFICATIONS LINES ITEMS.
    LOOP AT MODIFICATIONS.
        MODIFICATIONS-GROUPTYPE = GROUPTYPE.
        CASE MODIFICATIONS-MODIFICATN.
          WHEN 'I'. "insertion of an item
            INS_TAB = MODIFICATIONS.
            APPEND INS_TAB.
    END LOOP
    DESCRIBE TABLE INS_TAB LINES ITEMS.
      IF ITEMS > 0.
        INSERT RZLLITAB FROM TABLE INS_TAB-->(one i mentioned as virtual.)
      ENDIF.
    In such a case how comes the virtual comes as the output in wsdl
    I am mentioning below the the wsdl

  • Webservice:get data from SAP ECC

    hi,
    i want webservice.that webservice will fetch the data from sap ecc system.
    i need steps for creating webservice.i have some functionality .what can i expose as webservice.
    thanks
    raj

    Hi Raj,
    If we trying to fetch data from SAP ECC system then expsoing as a web service from NWDS (Netweaver Developer studio ) would the best option.First we need to create a Portal Service that invokes the functionalities of the SAP application component( Business solution which uses ECC) using the SAP Java Connector. Then you can create a Web Service from the Portal Service.
    If your SAP application component runs on SAP Web Application Server (WebAS) 6.20 or later, then you can directly enable Web Services on the application component by using the application server's native Web Service capabilities.
    1. To turn on the WebAS 6.20 SOAP Processor, you need to:
    Configure the Internet Communication Framework (ICF) of the WebAS to start the Internet Communication Manager (ICM) and activate the HTTP protocol support
    Use transaction SICF to activate the SOAP Runtime Handler: default_host -> sap -> bc -> soap -> rfc.
    Once the SOAP Processor is turned on, the RFM-implemented Web Services can be invoked at http://<host_name>:<port_number>/sap/bc/soap/rfc
    6.20 also provides a Web Service Browser, which is a BSP web application that can be used to browse all RFM-implemented Web Services in the system, and generate WSDLs for these Web Services.
    2. In a WebAS 6.40-based SAP application component, such as SAP Enterprise Core Component (ECC) 5.0, or a WebAS 7.0-based application component, such as ECC 6.0, by default, few Web Services are pre-delivered by SAP. But it is pretty easy to create Web Services in a WebAS 6.40-based system.
    Inside-Out Approach: if within the SAP application component there already exist one or several RFMs or BAPIs that suit your needs, you can create Web Services based on them without any additional programming. The basic steps include:
    Using the Service Definition Wizard, which can be started from transaction SE80, SE37, or BAPI, to create a (Web) service definition from an RFM, a function group, or a BAPI.
    When creating the service, you have the option to rename or hide operations (methods) and parameters, define default values for parameters, and changing parameter types.
    After the service definition is created, you need to use transaction WSCONFIG to release the service definition for the SOAP runtime.
    Afterwards, by using transaction WSADMIN, you can for any released Web Service, call the Web service homepage which provides utilities for using and testing the Web Service, generate WDSL, configure the logging and tracing settings, and publish the Web Service as a Business Service in an UDDI registry.
    Hope these steps are helful to you.

    Shaila

  • How to start BPM process WSDL from WDA

    Hello,
    I need to start BPM Process from SRM ECC with WDA; i have been through this link ;
    http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1643425
    also followed the pdf named 'Triggering NetWeaver BPM Process from ABAP' provided from SAP but still stuck on some issues;
    - I have a WSDL in order to start BPM process and works fine as i successfully call it from EP Java AS with WDJ..
    - What i need to do is to trigg it from SRM Screens so i need to call this WSD from ECC, so;
        When i try to create a consumer proxy using external wsdl option, after putting in WSDL Url it throws an error;
    Exception occurred in communication framework:Error in HTTP Framework:405 Method Not Allowed http://xxx.local:50000/bpm/de

    Exception of class CX_SLIB_HTTP_FAIL
    And this is error from BPM Logs for the same action;

    But no help so far,
    So, is there anyone faced similar or the same issue? Any suggestion will be appreciated.

  • Problem while genearting WSDL from ABAP

    Hi all
    I have encountered a problem.I created a WSDL from a ABAP program,but in the ABAP function module what it does is it inserts value onto a transparent table from a table which let me specify as a virtual table.So after generating the wsdl i am surprised to see the virtual table has come in the output part .I am unable to make out why this happened.
    i am mentioning below the ABAP code which inserts value on to a transparent table from a virtual table
    Code-Function module-smlg_modify
    <u>virtual table Definition</u>
    "table with items for insertion
      DATA INS_TAB LIKE RZLLITAB OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.
    DESCRIBE TABLE MODIFICATIONS LINES ITEMS.
    LOOP AT MODIFICATIONS.
        MODIFICATIONS-GROUPTYPE = GROUPTYPE.
        CASE MODIFICATIONS-MODIFICATN.
          WHEN 'I'. "insertion of an item
            INS_TAB = MODIFICATIONS.
            APPEND INS_TAB.
    END LOOP
    DESCRIBE TABLE INS_TAB LINES ITEMS.
      IF ITEMS > 0.
        INSERT RZLLITAB FROM TABLE INS_TAB-->(one i mentioned as virtual.)
      ENDIF.
    In such a case how comes the virtual comes as the output in wsdl
    I am mentioning below the the wsdl
