  • How to display multiple categories of webapp items in list view? Changing listbox list to checkbox list to select category in submission process?

    Hello!
    1.
    I am trying to get my page to list webapp items that are part of a few categories. I understand that if i want to view only one category, I just need to do the normal process of choosing that category and placing it out. So my question is: How do I display multiple categories of items in a webapp in a single page. I've tried this
    {module_webapps,WEBAPP_ID,c,CATEGORY_ID1,,,,10,,1} {module_webapps,WEBAPP_ID,c,CATEGORY_ID2,,,,10,,1}
    This only displays the everything from the first category, then everything from the next, which will not make it in order of date.
    I've also tried this for fun:
    {module_webapps,WEBAPP_ID,c,CATEGORY_ID1&CATEGORY_ID2,,,,10,,1}
    How can I go about doing it?
    2.
    I am looking to allow users to input a webapp item and allow them to select a category to tie to that item.
    <label for="CAT_Category">Category (You may select more than 1)<span class="req">*</span></label>
        <select name="CAT_Category" id="CAT_Category" class="cat_listbox" rows="4" multiple="multiple" style="height: 60px;">
        <option value="CATEGORY_ID1">--- Option 1</option>
        <option value="CATEGORY_ID2">--- Option 2</option>
        </select>
    Is it possible for me to change the listbox style into a checkbox style such that the user doesn't have to control+click multiple options?

    No answer to No.1 but I really want to find it out too.
    No.2
    If you already know list of the categories & ID you can manually create a list of checkboxes
    <input type="checkbox" name="CAT_Category" value="89081" />
    <input type="checkbox" name="CAT_Category" value="89082" />
    <input type="checkbox" name="CAT_Category" value="89083" />
    something like that should work

  • How to display records of int. table in list tree?

    friends,
       i want to display a list tree using fm RS_TREE_CONSTRUCT and RS_LIST_DISPLAY.
    this is the data that i have to display
    Matnr      doc no.        Stock qty.     Age
    1     45601236           100          55
    1     45601237           10          54
    1     45601238        11          53
    1     45601239           101          52
    now, only the first record should be displayed with a + symbol... when the user clicks the + symbol, then the node has to expand and display the other 3 records pertaining to that material...how to display 4 fields of an internal table in one line and like that, 3 records...i have seen some threads relating to this, but they all display only one value in the child node..how to  display multiple fields like this?
    please address this functinality using FMs alone, as i am not exposed to objects :!
    thanks all

    satish,
    Before passing the Node name ,Concatenate all the values of record in one string and pass that string as node name.Now it will work.

  • Best way to create a scrolling expandable list of checkboxes

    Stupid question time: I want to create a list of checkboxes where there can be more than will fit into the fixed space in the UI so I want it to scroll as necessary. I also need to add and remove items to reflect changes in external factors.
    I've tried to use the Radio Buttons item (which seems to be an NSMatrix that contains NSButtonCell objects) but I'm having problems (added items disappear off the top/bottom of the NSMatrix area, they seem to revert to the radio-button even if I set the 'prototype' to be a checkbox, I cannot get it is scroll).
    I'm sure that this is a standard thing to have (a scrolling dynamic list of checkboxes) but I'm not sure how to create this. It's almost like the pop-up list in the combobox control but I want it on the screen the whole time.
    In Windows I would simply use a CheckedListBox control - what is the equivalent in Cocoa?
    Thanks
    Susan

    For what it's worth...
    I kinda sorta got this to work using an NSMatrix instead of an NSTableView. Clicking the checkboxes afterwards only seemed to "select" the checkbox (ie put a focus ring around the checkbox) rather than actually checking or unchecking the checkbox. So you might still need code similar to what you've already done for your table view.
    Here's what I did. This was in Leopard with Xcode and IB v. 3.0, but it may be somewhat similar in earlier versions of IB.
    1. Drag a single checkbox into your window.
    2. While your checkbox is selected go to the menubar and select "Layout -> Embed Object In -> Matrix".
    3. The inspector window should change to "Matrix attributes"
    4. Use the "Cells" attribute counters in the inspector window to add more rows (or more columns if needed) to your matrix. This should add more checkboxes to the matrix.
    5. Add rows and/or columns until you get basically the number of checkboxes that you'd like to be able to see in your scrollable area.
    6. Now while your matrix is selected go to the menubar and select "Layout -> Embed Objects In -> Scroll View"
    Initially the scroll view will not show a scrollbar (because your scroll view was sized to encompass all of the current checkboxes). But if you click into the scroll view so that the embedded matrix becomes selected then you can use the "Cells" counters in the inspector window again to add some more rows or columns of checkboxes... and the scroll bars of the scroll view will become active.
    If you don't know the total number of checkboxes beforehand then you can do something like this in code at runtime:
    [theMatrix addRow];
    [theMatrix sizeToCells];
    This assumes that "theMatrix" is an outlet to the matrix. The addRow method will add a row to the end of the matrix but there are other methods that will allow you to add a row at a specific index. The "sizeToCells" seems to be required to get the scroll view to notice that the matrix has changed size and it's scroll bars may need to be adjusted.

  • Splitting a long list of checkboxes

    Hello i have made a list of checkboxes, based on a LOV.
    Is it possible to split the long list(70 boxes) into different columns?
    My last solution is to make i static, but that is something i hope to get around.

    Hello,
    In the LOV section of your checkbox item, you can define how many columns you want to use do display the checkboxes.

  • Dynamic List of Checkboxes and their Default Values

    Hello,
    I have spent more than five hours feebly attempting to figure out how to make a dynamic list of checkboxes (using an LOV) adhere to the values in the database which those checkboxes represent. The LOV itself works; I can get a nice list of checkboxes with the appropriate names, but I can't get HTML DB to check the boxes that have a value of 'Y' in the database. The code for my LOV follows:
    SELECT mesg_name n, mesg_id r
    FROM notifications
    WHERE mesg_id = (SELECT mesg_id
                      FROM subscriptions
                      WHERE upper(network_id) = upper(:APP_USER))Since this is a dynamic list of checkboxes, I obviously cannot use the "Label" property to set the labels of each checkbox. That is what n is in the query above. r is the unique ID of the message (a varchar2) that I will need to pass back to the program after the page is submitted by the user for processing. I cannot take up the value field of the checkbox with a "Y" or something as equally vague. The ID of the subscription that the user is subscribing to or unsubscribing to must be passed back to the program so the appropriate modifications to the database table can be made.
    I would most appreciate it if anyone could lend assistance.
    Thank you,
    Marc Weil

    Marc,
    I think I see what you're trying to do. You'll have to separate process that renders the LOV as a series of check boxes from the process that sets the checked values for each user.
    Before the LOV is rendered on a page, make sure you set the session state value of the LOV item to a colon separated set of IDs based on your query:
    SELECT mesg_id
    FROM subscriptions
    WHERE upper(network_id) = upper(:APP_USER)
    If you have trouble, let me know, I'll try to come up with an example.

  • Trying to remove a checkBox from a list of checkBoxes

    Hello,
    I have a dictionary that has TKey equal to a Decimal and with TValue equal to a List<CheckBox>. I declare it like so:
    Dictionary<Decimal, List<CheckBox>> entireCheckBoxList = new Dictionary<Decimal, List<CheckBox>>();
    The reason for doing this is that I can pass it a NumericUpDown value (which only is in Decimal), then I can find any created CheckBox's that corespond to the NumericUpDown value. So let say I have my NumericUpDown equal to 1, when I click on the up
    arrow, I pop-up a new form window that lets me enter data lets say folder name and file name. Then, when I click my save button, I create check boxes for a folder name and under that check box is a the file name but it is slightly indented to the right and
    under it:
    So the reason why I have a Decimal TKey is that when i pop up a new form to create checkBoxes, I can create as many check boxes as I want and only want to assign them to one number. So if I create 4 check Boxes in one form pop-up form, then I want the numberUpDown
    value to only be increased by one when I save it and create them.
    So my main question is, when I click down on the numericUpDown arrow, I want to remove the index associated with the numericUpdown from both the control and this dictionary. I am able to remove from the dictionary like so:
    entireCheckBoxList.Remove(numbericUpDownValue);
    However now I want to remove from the control with something like this:
    this.tabPage1.Controls.Remove(entireCheckBoxList[numbericUpDownValue]);
    But I am receiving the following errors:
    Error 1
    The best overloaded method match for 'System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlCollection.Remove(System.Windows.Forms.Control)' has some invalid arguments
    Error 2
    Argument 1: cannot convert from 'System.Collections.Generic.List<System.Windows.Forms.CheckBox>' to 'System.Windows.Forms.Control'.
    All I want to do is remove the check boxes associated with the numericUpDown value from the control that correspond to the ones created and stored in my dictionary List<CheckBoxes>. I am just not sure how to do it.
    Kind Regards.

    Ok great thanks for this.
    I have just realized that if I can just remove the last item in the entireCheckBoxList dictionary added, then there is no reason for the numbericUpDownValue look up. I just need to remove the last item in this dictionary.
    I have tried many things to get the last item in the dictionary but are all out of ideas.
    Any clue?
    I have done this:
    var test = entireCheckBoxList.Last();
    then since this gives me the last value, I have then looped through like so:
    foreach (CheckBox item in test.Value)
    Then to remove only the last items created, since they are done in pairs, i have done this:
    count++;
    if ((count == test.Value.Count - 1) || (count == test.Value.Count))
    this.tabPage1.Controls.Remove(item);
    else
    if (!yourlist.Contains(item))
    yourlist.Add(item);
    entireCheckBoxList.Add(count, yourlist);
    where count is an int declare above. So the final solution is this:
    var test = entireCheckBoxList.Last();
    int entireCheckBoxCount = entireCheckBoxList.Count;
    List<CheckBox> yourlist = new List<CheckBox>();
    int count = 0;
    entireCheckBoxList.Clear();
    foreach (CheckBox item in test.Value)
    count++;
    if ((count == test.Value.Count - 1) || (count == test.Value.Count))
    this.tabPage1.Controls.Remove(item);
    else
    if (!yourlist.Contains(item))
    yourlist.Add(item);
    entireCheckBoxList.Add(count, yourlist);
    What do you think?
    Kind Regards.

  • How to create a list from checkboxes using Numbers on iPad?

    I am creating a guest list using Numbers foriPad. First sheet is a list of invited people with checkboxes (Yes/No/still to reply) in next column. In the next sheet i want create a list of everyone that has replied yes.
    I have tried using the if statement, but I dont want any blank cells.
    -IF(A2;TRUE;A1) gives name in A1 if box is checked, but gives 0 or something else if i specify. But i want to automatically start on next row to avoid blank or 0-
    Example:
    David   V
    Lisa.     V
    Derek
    Brad.   V
    Paul.
    John
    The separate list in another sheet should then be:
    David
    Lisa
    Brad
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Can you use the the reorganize panel to sort the list?
    Idon't have Numbers on the iOS so I am not sure.  You are posting in the forum for Numbers on Mac OS X.
    you can also add a new column (let's say C)
    where
    C1=if(A1, A1, "")
    this will include the name from column A  when the checkbox in B is checked.  You can then copy column C and paste values using the menu item (Edit > Paste Values, or equivalent in iOS... not sure what it is)

  • Question on Dynamic Select Lists and Checkboxes

    Hello,
    I am new to APEX, and this is my first posting, I have a question about how to implement dynamic checkboxes from a select list.
    Basically I would have a select list, and based on what item is selected a set of checkboxes would appear.
    I was originally using the Select and Submit property on the select box, which works fine, all of the checkboxes appear appropriately. But the thing is, APEX refreshes the page each time, and since this select box is lower in the page, the user would have to scroll all the way down to where they were before.
    The main requirement is so that the user won't have to scroll down the that position where the select box is each time they select a new option.
    So a work around attempt is to create a javascript that will automatically scroll down to that position on page load ...
    i.e.
    function pageScroll() {
    window.scrollBy(0,50);
    But that didn't work, because for some reason the javascript wasn't appearing.
    Is there a way to either:
    1. Have a dynamic checkbox appear using ajax? -or-
    2. Have the javascript scrolling effect
    Sorry if this is a confusing question, I was wondering if anyone else came across this issue.
    Thanks in advance!!

    Since this Select List plays such an important role on the page, why not create a side-region and put that select list there so you don't have to overwhelm the user and his 'persistence of vision ' with a page that scrolls all by itself to the 1000th line to, then , change the options ?
    just an idea.

  • Generate Comp based on dropdown list and checkbox selection?

    I currently have a dropdown list with three sizing options in it. Then I have two check mark boxes, one if checked ideally would create the template at its normal composition size and if the other checkbox is checked it would inverse the widthxheight of the composition size. Then below that I have a "generate" button that I want to be able to click and depending on my selections it creates the comp.
    It sounds like I need some sort of if then statement but I'm having a hard time putting the two together. See below what I have so far.
    There may be parts missing but I have it all working in a decibel pallate currently. I just don't have the functionality tied to a button yet.
    Any help would be much appreciated!!!
    (also I don't know how to format the extend script on here so apologies for that)
    // palette controls

      return ary;
    // "composition" menu
       var panelGrp1 = templateGen.palette.add('Panel', undefined, 'Comp Templates');
      compGrp1 = panelGrp1.add('group', undefined, 'Templates List');
      compGrp2 = panelGrp1.add('group', undefined, 'Orientation');

      templateGen.compList                                             = compGrp1.add('dropdownlist', LIST_DIMENSIONS, templateGen_getHashValues(bapple.compLookup));
      templateGen.compList.helpTip                                = "Choose the type device template you want here. All comps are 60fps.";
      templateGen.compList.selection                             = 'Template1';

      templateGen.HorizontalCheckbox .value = false;
    templateGen.generateBtn1      = compGrp3.add('button', undefined, 'Generate');
      //applyBtn.onClick =????;

    When I work with dropdowns I always like to attach the data they represent (like width and height of the comp in this case) directly to the items.
    I didn't execute the code to really check it, but it should work like this:
    // add templates to your dropdown and store the items in an array
    var templates = [];
    templates[0] = templateGen.compList.add('item','template1');
    templates[1] = templateGen.compList.add('item','template2');
    templates[2] = templateGen.compList.add('item','template3');
    // attach a width and height to each item
    templates[0].width= 1280;
    templates[0].height= 720;
    templates[1].width= 1024;
    templates[1].height= 768;
    templates[2].width= 1920;
    templates[2].height= 1080;
    // choose the item that should be selected by default
    templates[0].selected = true;
    applyBtn.onClick = function(){
            // read the width and height from the selected item
            var width = templateGen.compList.selection.width;
            var height =templateGen.compList.selection.height;
            if(templateGen.VerticalCheckbox.value){
                  // swap width and height
                  var temp = width;
                  width = height;
                  height = temp;
