Accordion Spry Widget resizes fonts in AccordionPanelContent when viewed on iPhone4

Has anyone seen this probelm before? The open AccordionPanelContent area dispays the font correctly at first, but then resizes once an interaction is initiated. See http://www.johnstontrustlaw.com/kmj_mobile.html for code. Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Accordion Spry Widget default loading behaviour

Am using the accordion spry widget to display some
    spring/summer courses and
I need all panels closed when the page first loads. I've
    tried to find the
relevant code, but have not been successful in changing it to
    make this
work. If I change the behaviour of the 'this.defaultPanel'
    the whole
accordion stops working. How can I change the accordion
    behaviour to have
all panels closed at page load?
    Thanks for any help.

Hello! I have been reading up on this and playing around with
the code for a few hours now and I can't seem to make it work.
Basically I would like to have the accordion load collapsed, and
get rid of the fixed height. Any clue what I'm missing?
    Thanks!

  • Accordion Spry shows a strange blue glow when clicked on... And the tabs jump a bit...

I am having a problem on the page below.
I was able to make the TEXT stop glowing blue when in focus, but can't manage to get this blue-glow outer line wrapped around the spry object. I have no idea how to fix it.
Here's the page where the issue happens- http://www.fci.tv/home/casestudies.html
    Here's a link to the page's CSS file- http://www.fci.tv/home/css/style.css
And a link to the Accordion CSS- I've modified it a little to get rid of the ugly default setup, but still see this blue glow around the spry.... http://www.fci.tv/home/spryassets/spryaccordion.css
Lastly, when you click on any of the three spry-menu options, the panels slide with a strange jump. Can you please provide any insight to this problem?
    Thank you!

  • Font not publishing when viewing on diff platform

Hi, i created a banner in flash on a PC at work and published
it as html, when i tried to send the banner to my Mac at home, the
font did not come up on the html page in firefox or safari, it came
up with a default font.. I embeded the fonts in the flash file, but
that did not work. i do not have the font (Shelley LT
VolanteScript) on my mac. I have flash 8 at work and home. Could
you suugest a solution to my promlem, so that i can view the banner
on my mac with the correct font.

    >I embedded the fonts in the flash file,
Do you mean that you embedded the font in the Textfield? or
    in the Library?
You must embed the font into the textfield itself, unless you
use a TextFormat method to do so, and when doing so the Font must
    be in the Library.
Also you only need to embed a font if the Textfield is
dynamic or input. If it is static then Flash will render the font
    on publishing.

  • Fonts are substituted when viewing uploaded InDesign/Illustrator documents

In my test InDesign page in the Cloud, the document fonts (Futura, Zapfino Extra) are replaced by Myriad when the page is displayed. Needless to say this negates the value of having it in the cloud in the first place: I can't share with clients or collaborators for comments and feedback, since they won't see the actual layout. I could put a PDF in the cloud, but I could more quickly, and just as easily send them a PDF via Dropbox or email.
The same problem exists with live text in an Illustrator document.
Any word on when this will be fixed/upgraded?

Thanks, David. I had a feeling that was the problem so I wanted to check. It's a pity, because it vitiates the feature a great deal. I don't recall the same problem with CS Review, but then I also didn't use it much as I had little application for it at the time. Illustrator has its embedded PDF that could be used for a web preview, but perhaps if an INDD is saved with the maximum size preview that could also be a solution. At least 1024x1024 would be a comfortable size for viewing.
I've not tested a PSD with live text, but I assume the embedded comp would be what's displayed, so that should not be an issue.
[By the way, someone should have a strong word with the marketing folks. This limitation is not hinted at anywhere in the CC promo. Quite the reverse, in fact. Like the unexpected requirement to purchase tablet apps, which the promo says are "included", marketing missteps like this can backfire badly, as anyone familiar with the field will tell you. I've already seen negative reactions in various forums to what is perceived as (and is, in fact, even if unintentional) false advertising. Just because it seems like a minor detail doesn't mean it won't upset customers who feel they've been misled.]

  • HT2506 What is the default font preview uses when viewing a PDF?

I am annotating text in a pdf but I can't seem to match the font that preview is using.  Any ideas?
    Thanks.

It uses the fonts that are in the PDF...the ones that were used in the document that the PDF was created from.

  • Can't add spry widget to page created from dreamweaver template

Please help! I have created a template in Dreamweaver and
from that template I have created an html page. I want to add
different tabbed and/or accordion spry widgets to multiple pages
however I keep getting an error when I try to add a widget to an
editable region. I can add the widgets to the dwt file, but I do
not want the same widget on all pages created from that template.
    Please advise!
    Thanks
    cycleguy

If that's all that's on the child page you are in trouble.
Anyhow, it appears to me that the template has not been
    properly created
since I do not also see an editable region around the
    <title> tag in your
code. Please read my previous post and follow the
    instructions.

  • Accordion Spry default all panels closed

How do I setup the Accordion Spry to have all panels closed
when my page initially loads? I don't want any of the panels to be
set as the default opened panel and for the browser to select the
    panel they want open first.

    I have installed Spry 1.6.1.
    Here is my code:
    var Accordion1 = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("Accordion1",{
    defaultpanel: -1 });
Still opens the first panel upon loading my page with the
Accordion spry. There must be something else to be
    configured?

  • Site search limitations when using Spry Widgets

Currently evaluating search tools to work with Spry
accordion, tabbed panels and so on. Apparently NONE of them do.
This is a big problem. Our site uses mostly Dreamweaver spry
    widgets.
I have tested the very highly rated zoom Search from WrenSoft
and also expect problems with Google Search and Atomz (based on web
    research I have done).
If one searches for a word residing in one of the spry tabbed
panels, accordians (there could be many layers on a single page of
course), site search engines correctly take you to the page but
naturally does not open the correct tabbed panel (Zoom Search
doesn't understand DW code of course). Just presents you with the
default panel. User would have to dig through all panels on that
page to find the text. Our users need these nice interfaces. This
is reality. Also some of the Java script in Wrensoft that
highlights search words conflicts with existing Java script within
Dreamweaver. I've worked around some of it but the core issue is
the landing on the page and opening the correct tab. The question
is can anyone suggest a search engine tool that will work with
Dreamweaver Spry widgets or suggest something else. This is a huge
disincentive to use Spry. Perhaps build pages without Spry to
specifically go to after search? Sound like a lot of work.
    Thanks
    Richard

This is not an issue specific to Spry, it's an issue with
other JavaScript solutions that show and hide content, and it is
also an issue if CSS is used show and hide content.
If you have a way to obtain the search terms from the search
engine page, then you might be able to handle this (based upon your
description, the WrenSoft JavaScript finds that info out), but then
you'd also have to have a search engine built within your page that
will search through the page and figure out what tab the searched
term(s) are on, and then show that tab, but then what happens when
you have terms on multiple tabs in a tab group? You'll have to
determine which search terms are more important than other terms.
There is code available that will allow you to open specific
tabs using the showPanel method. Check out the API for the Tabbed
    panel:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/articles/data_api/index.html
And perhaps take a look at the code for this page (check in
    the linked JavaScript file):
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/tabbedpanels/tabbed_panel_unobtrusive.htm
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/tabbedpanels/tp_unobtrusive.js
As the Spry code is namespaced to specifically prevent
conflicts with other JavaScript code, it would be good to know what
those conflicts are so that others can be aware of them to try to
    prevent them in their pages.

Thank you Zak for your help, I spent 5 hours going round in circles trying to fix that problem and that's all I needed to hear, a bit of honesty and integrity.and yes, Adobes terrible customer service has still not got back to after promising 2 level technical support to contact me last Monday, I wish there'd keep their promise
Pamela, did you try my test website or my own website and if so my own has now no accordion widget on it and my test website may need you to try loading a few times to see if it really works or not, sometimes it does actually work even on a pc but most times not.
    thanks for you help too.

  • How do I make my accordion spry not "jump" or "hiccup" in IE??

Ok, sorry you guys, I'm a newbie.
It seems that no matter what I do, I can't get the accordion to co-operate with Internet Explorer. It has always jumped when tabs are clicked and then settles down. It's rather irritating and I would like to fix it. I've run out of things to try. Can anyone help?
In addition, with attempts to make keep the accordion and background centered I used a div with the position centered, which worked, but only in FF and Chrome. In IE it stays far left. When I had it in a table, I could set a left: px in the class, but never figured out how to center it with a table so it would change position based on the monitor resolution. If there's a better way to do this that IE and other browsers like, please help me. If it's just IE that has the problem is there any way to make it like my code?
If you can help me change the height of the accordion, that would be great. It seems it doesn't want to stretch out, but maybe I'm writing it in the wrong section or the wrong way.
Another minor issue is the IE not doing the transparency I set on the tabs. I heard that they took that feature out. Is that true or is there a way to set it for IE?
Here's what I have so far:

<p >If you need to de-stress, relax and do not have many sore  stiff muscles then simple relaxation massage would be good for you. If you have  a constant sore shoulder or neck then you really need a therapist that is  capable of effectively loosening those fibres.</p>
<p >You may be able to determine if a therapist is right for you  by talking with someone who has had a massage from that person. Otherwise, you  can sometimes judge by the type of facility in which they are practicing.  Typically a spa is going to give you strictly relaxation, although many  therapists are capable of more if you request it. A chiropractor's clinic will  often focus on rehabilitation of injured patients; more often than not they  have massage therapists that are more than capable of working deep enough to  affect injured tissue.></p>

You would make this a little easier if you posted a link to the page.
Most of the jump seems to be some extra padding or margin between the tabs  when you rollover, but I am not able to find it.  Is there any other css that is governing this page? I did remove a couple of <p></p> set of tags you had  and it improved the jump, but it is still there.
If the page is live, run it through the validator http://validator.w3.org/ , fix whatever errors it finds, if you still have the jump, post a link to the page and the issue might get found.

  • Spry Widget Issues - Deactivating after a while

    Hi there,
I'm using Spry Widgets in DW CS3 and have been experiencing
    the following strange issue.
When I insert a widget everything functions fine, the widget
is outline in blue, the little blue title appears when I roll over
it and the eye appears (for the Collapsible or the Accordion for
example) and allows me to close or open it with DW.
All in all, everything works sweet... I can edit it fine in
    the Properties box etc.
And then after a while the widget just stops working. What I
mean is that there is no blue outline when rolling over it, there
is no Properties panel, there is no "eye", but the object is still
    there, just not functioning.
I have obviously gone over the code as best I can. I've
created a new page within the same site and inserteda widget and
compared the code from one page to another and cannot find anything
    off kilter.
Note that the CSS still woks fine, it just seems to lose its
    Javascript capabilites (...)
This has happened with several different widgets in different
    sites on different machines...
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

Here is a screenshot of a site I'm building atm. Please bear
in mind that I am not a coder and am building exclusively using
    Design Mode.

    >
-When I first inserted the Tabbed Panels widget, it
    functioned fine...
-Now, something has happened and the widget is not editable
(other than going into the code) and the Panels are just displayed
    one below the other.
-The widget functions normally when the page is previewed in
a browser, but I have lost my Design Mode editing capabilites.
-Now if I were to enter a new widget, it would start off
    straight away in "non-editable" mode
-This has happened every time I have tried to use widgets.
Starts off fine and then loses editibility and/or functionality.
It's obviously something that I'm doing that is "breaking"
the widget, but any help would greatly appreciated.

  • Iframes and spry widget issue

    PLEASE HELP!
I am building a website for my company using Dreamweaver for the very first time. I have a spry accordian menu on my page (that probably has nothing to do with my issue).
Next I added an iframe in the page to hold a vertical spry menu (since it will appear in other pages and I only want to edit it once. The menu was working fine until I did this.
Now that I embedded it in the iframe it is opening behind other things on the page. What can I do? Code is below:
