Account Settings - I want it all... how do I get it?

Hey -
My wife and I share our home computer.
We also share our e-mail application (at the moment, Entourage) with a common ISP e-mail address. In addition to that, we have different POP accounts with a couple host servers for our different businesses. Each has it's own log-in information.
Entourage allows us to set up multiple accounts that recieve e-mail to the same inbox (or whatever sub-folder we've filtered the e-mail to go).
Entourage also allows us to indicate which account the e-mail can be sent from with a drop down menu. So my wife can send an e-mail addressed from: "Mary with her e-mail address," and I can send addressed from: "Paul with my e-mail address."
I use the Mail application for my work on a PowerBook. It is set up with my work account, but I've been reading about how one can sync the Mail application settings through a .Mac account. I would love to be able to share the Mail information on my home computer with my work computer. But I also want to segregate my Work mail from my Home mail.
So Questions:
Can this be done with the Mail application?
While synching via .Mac, can we separate work and home Mail accounts?
Can different mail accounts share the same "inbox" and other sub-folders?
Can we set up our Mail application so that we can indicate who is sending the e-mail? I've been able to set it up at work so that I can choose between two different e-mail addresses, but the name stays the same. ("Paul from first address," or "Paul from second address." But I want it to be able to choose from: "Paul from first address," or "Mary from second address.")
I don't want to have to set up two different log-ins on our computer, we tried that once and it was a mess trying to keep track of things. Especially since we share a lot of the same files and mail.
Hope this is clear, any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Why did you delete it if you wanted it?
It has alays been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  Use this to put it back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy, then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod:  File>Transfer Purchases
You buy one and only one download.  It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
